2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Takes Place Amidst Pandemic on: April 28, 2020, 06:24:54 PM
Well if Nicaragua hasn't reached the same levels as other people, then I can understand why they're reluctant to slow down their economy.

Realistically, unless a significant chunk of the citizenry stop going about business as usual, it is unlikely to curb the spread of the virus. Might as well act as usual until the government enforces movement control policies.

As much as I love boxing, I hope other countries don't follow suit any time soon  Grin
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid investment or venture capital? on: April 27, 2020, 10:48:53 AM
You invest in a mixed basket of cryptocurrencies.

Some should be high risk and low reward, others should be low risk and high rewards, while the remaining should be somewhere in the middle.

Although you might lose some potential profit this way, you also protect yourself against a possible serious loss. And as investing is all about risk vs reward, this is something you need to be wary of.

2103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs from binance not worth holding ? on: April 27, 2020, 10:35:05 AM
Exactly that... IEOs on Binance are all just pump and dumps.

If you can get in at the IEO stage or sometimes within the first minute of trading becoming available, then you can often secure a nice profit.

However, if you're thinking about holding these tokens long-term, then prepare to be absolutely rent, especially if you bought in at the peak.

Just take a look at the previous IEOs on the Launchpad, compare their IEO price, peak price and current price. You'll find that most pumped to crazy heights, but then fell back to around or even below the IEO price.

Not a gamble I'm willing to take. A project built on hype will not prosper.
2104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a good strategy for 0.5% - 1% daily? on: April 27, 2020, 10:04:01 AM
No, there are no safe strategies for even 0.5% daily.

That's around 180% profit per year... If there was an easy way to do it, people wouldn't be content with the 5-10% per annum they make investing in hedge funds which are managed by some of the best market experts out there.

even these hedge funds, which are moving tens of billions of dollars sometimes, can't achieve more than 20% per year regularly.

What makes you think some random fool on Bitcointalk is going to have the recipe to multiply that by 9x? Come on now.

Set your expectations lower. 10-20% per year on your principal is a good result.
2105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag? on: April 27, 2020, 09:34:59 AM
I personally believe it's because most gamblers are looking to win life-changing amounts of money.

Although turning $100 into 30 ETH (approx $6,000) is definitely a great win, $6,000 is certainly not a life-changing amount for most people.

Even in the poorest countries, $6,000 is only around a year or so salary.

I see it often, people bet their leftover salary (disposable income) in the hopes of winning enough to money to live on comfortably for a significant period of time. Unless these people successfully get this, then they're unlikely to stop gambling.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 500$ - 30,000$ Gambling Challenge on: April 27, 2020, 09:13:54 AM
Your odds of successfully going from $500 to $30,000 is around 1.6% excluding house edge.

Surely you know by now that your best odds of achieving a $500 > $30,000 bet is to do a single large $500 bet on a 60x multiplier.

Over time your results will move closer and closer to the standard distribution, and you will almost certainly fail. However, with a single large bet, this isn't the case.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: April 24, 2020, 10:36:35 PM

I tried playing dice I lose some money so I decide not to continue just hold for now because this lockdown may last for months. I'm starting to think of buying food supplies like thousands of cup noddles.

Who wins the dice? None lol.
Those kind of gambling game sucks. I feel like it was programmed to get your money.
You should play pvp gambling games like poker/ chinese poker instead of playing RNG games.
Another thing, you must be exaggerating with that thousands of cup noddle. That'll give you serious illness in your urinary lol.

Haven't have done much of gambling this time since the pandemic, I gotta save money for what ever may happen during the lockdown. Plus, sports were all suspended so I left no other choice but to play online games and avoid spending in gambling, at least during the pandemic lockdown.

How exactly?

Dice sites usually have a pretty transparent house edge, sure they're designed to make you lose in the long run, but it's still possible to beat the house.

Even sports have a house edge, it's called the margin, so don't think that you're not losing money while sports betting...
2108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cartesi is now listed in Binance on: April 24, 2020, 10:13:55 PM
Another launchpad cash grab, whoop de doo.

People are just buying Cartesi because it was launched on Binance and they expect it to pump. This basically creates a self-fulfilling prophecy where future projects sell-out due to the expectations of the pump.

The only people that win are the early investors and project founders (and Binance of course).

Everyone who invests after the pump (ergo the majority of CTSI holders) will get rekt when it eventually dumps like all the other launchpad projects did.... Remember Harmony, Matic and BTT?
2109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its almost impossible to buy on: April 24, 2020, 09:22:12 PM
I have spoken to friends in Iran and they have echoed your story.

They also mentioned something about the official rate of the Iranian Rial and the street rate (or true going rate) being vastly different—and that it's impossible to cash out Rials at the government rate.

As far as I've heard, the only real way to get around it is by dealing out of the country. Travel to a nearby country like Turkey and deal for cash there.
2110  Other / Off-topic / Re: Review my concept on: April 24, 2020, 09:09:00 PM
I said its a concept, website isnt finished, and we are a registered uk company

What are your company registration details?

Can you provide more details on how you can unequivocally guarantee that somebody will receive 5% per month on their deposits? Surely it can't be with simple trading, since turning 60%+ your fees per year on what I can only assume would be a substantial portfolio is extremely challenging.

Also, why is your main agenda gaining trust? You want trust? Prove you're legit, be transparent and admit your faults. Be very specific about the terms people are signing up to and the assurances that are in place (if applicable).
2111  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto-Games.net ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐Largest Wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: April 24, 2020, 08:53:11 PM
Just saw one of the biggest single bets I've seen in a long time;

19.74 ETH wagered to win 39.48 ETH—that's around $7,500 from a roulette bet!

Congrats Wyth836, you've got some big balls and it paid off.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you need licence to open up an online Bitcoin Casino? on: April 24, 2020, 08:16:59 PM
I think it is still in need for you to get a license before opening ot operating a Bitcoin gambling site or online gambling site because having a license to operate gives legitimacy to your site and it will help you to encourage people to dive into your site because they are comfortable and will entrust your site for the reason that you have license so the intention for running an online Bitcoin casino seems to legible and safe. People for sure are looking for trusted site and that will lead them for a search on a Bitcoin casino that have license for security and assurance that their funds will be safe at your site. Better secure first a license before running the site just for legal purposes. Better do also consult a legal expert for laws regarding that and search into which countries your players are target because some countries prohibit existence of online casinos.

Any reason why you are necro-bumping a six year old thread?

It is quite clear that you don't need a license to open a Bitcoin only casino in most places, otherwise there wouldn't be literally hundreds of unlicensed bitcoin casinos on operation.

Nothing more to say about it, stop necrobumping threads!
2113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if "35hK24tcLEWcgNA4JxpvbkNkoAcDGqQPsP" sold its bitcoin balance. on: April 24, 2020, 05:56:17 PM

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/35hK24tcLEWcgNA4JxpvbkNkoAcDGqQPsP

This address has currently the most bitcoins of all other addresses. If this is one person then he has $1,8B worth. But what could happen if he sold all of his bitcoins? He surely wouldn't get 1,8B. I believe that from the first 10.000BTC he would sell the marketing would start to fall...

Thoughts?

Only a complete fool would attempt to liquidate $1.8 billion worth of Bitcoin in a single order. However, since this guy has managed to rack up almost two billion dollars, we can be pretty sure he's not a fool.

Therefore, if he slowly liquidated his holding, he would likely get close to current market value, so long as he unloads over the course of around a month.

Although tens of billions of dollars in BTC are traded each day, the market is not robust enough to take a $2 billion hit in a short time frame.

Reastically, this address is likely a multi-sig wallet held by an institution, so a dump is highly unlikely unless shit really hits the fan.

Super professional. /s

In any case, you shouldn't be guaranteeing 5% profit per month. That's simply not sustainable in a down market and nothing is ever guaranteed in crypto trading.

Unless you are partnering with some of the biggest and most well-recognized traders around, you're likely going to be labeled a Ponzi scam.

2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: April 24, 2020, 05:12:18 PM

It's going to be a waste of time if you don't want to make money out of it. Whether you like it or not gambling causes you to lose money, its best to earn more than losing your money. There are curricular activities out there you can do like volunteering to mow people's lawn than playing and not to make money.

Well plenty of people don't gamble to turn a profit, it's more a pastime.

Think about it, you can spend hundreds of dollars going to shows, watching movies, buying new equipment for games etc, or you can spend that same few hundred bucks gambling.

If you genuinely enjoy gambling more than extracurricular activities or regular hobbies, then why not?

Your net loss is the same either way, the only thing that changes is your enjoyment level.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Started Gambling Because You Want To Be Part Of A Gambling Campaign on: April 23, 2020, 09:13:46 PM
Some campaigns/ managers in the past had such kind of criteria while picking up a participant but now everything changed and thanks for the merit system which gives reference for who is good and bad posters.I played with my rewards but never wanted to gamble just because to be a part of it.

I don't think many signature campaign managers care about merit.

After all, if you take a look, the vast majority of merit earned by most of the merit earners are from the Wall Street Observer thread (no signatures) and Meta section where people basically circlejerk each other about their ideas for the forum.

Most of the merit is circulated across a select few individuals in these subforums, and there really isn't point in hiring people if they earned their merit in these places.

Now, if they're contributing to relevant sections like the gambling section, then that's another story.
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you need to know for Q1 2020 Crypto Markets on: April 23, 2020, 07:43:18 PM
Would have been much better if you actually put the name of each cryptocurrency in the charts....

Not everybody knows the logos of literally dozens of coins, if you're trying to appeal to beginner and advanced traders alike, maybe you should consider this.

I like CoinGecko as a platform, it definitely does a better job than CoinMarketCap, but you can do better than this.

2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Staking? on: April 23, 2020, 07:13:25 PM
Might generate good % in 1-2 years if remains the same liquidity...

The problem is that "a good %" over 2 years is what? something like 8- 15% i guess.

This is nothing if the coin price's drop 80% over 2 years.

Imo, everyone should ignore characteristics such as staking and speed. Look for more important and less superficial fundamentals of a project.

That's exactly the case with EOS.

It has seen its value slide relative to other more popular cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Tezos and Chainlink.

I'd go as far as to say that it's on a spiral out of the top 20 by market cap soon enough. I understand the benefits of the decentralized computer it offers, but it's just too complicated for the end-user right now, and the resource pools and stuff do little to alleviate this bottleneck.

Almost nobody is launching dapps on EOS anymore, and that's going to be a problem for EOS holders eventually since it will affect liquidity.
2119  Economy / Gambling / Re: MegaDice.com - Bitcoin Dice - Invest in Bankroll - Happy hour 0.5% House edge on: April 23, 2020, 06:52:51 PM
This thread should be locked.

It's quite obvious that MegaDice isn't interested in addressing the concerns players have regarding their site, or even the flag that has been created on them.

They've been negged into oblivion and don't seem the care in the slightest.

Any platform that doesn't have even the decency to take the time to clear their name at a forum that is likely responsible for the majority of its traffic should not be used.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF HUNTER'S SYNDROME.... on: April 23, 2020, 05:17:11 PM
Pretty sure there aren't any bounties currently in operation that will pay out lifetime amounts of money for simple bounty tasks, regardless whether they're cheating the system or not.

Even some of the best bounties back in 2017 didn't pay out lifetime amounts of money unless you live in a third world country and consider less than $10,000 to be enough to last a life time.

Realistically, hunters might as well do whatever they can to get the advantage. The vast majority of bounties are completely worthless so there's really no harm in gaining an edge over something so likely to fail.

Anybody with any intelligence would take the time they spend bounty hunting and actually work on something fruitful—like learning a new skill or developing business relations.
