Lol. I am about as permabull as they come, dude
Hm, I'm sure I remember you posting that you spoke to a lot of potential Bitcoin investors, and after you had told them that bitcoin couldn't scale, none of them were interested any more.

you know, when people are out on the streets happily roaming about wearing sunglasses and flipflops because the sky is blue, it can be hard to imagine rainfall and cold air. You imagined rainfall and cold air for the foreseeable future, and made sure to spread your belief to others. Now they're walking around in parkas.

in fact I find strange the many thousands of coins lent out on BFX at a rate always <0.00X%. Don't these lenders think if they are sabotaging themselves lending at so low rates to shorters against their coins value?
I stopped lending when rates on Polo went below 0.04%/day.
I've never known why folk would risk their coins on an exchange for a such a paltry return. Making 2% a year means you trust an exchange not to lose your funds for 35 years.

We need that wyllie coyote meme, remember to be falling up through $280, then $380, then $480 and now $580...
hahahahahaha
There's an episode called Beep Prepared, where Wile. E gets blasted off to the moon, which could be used/incorporated.

The market has built in the expectation that these spikes will always collapse. It will come as a shock when one does not... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FxYiqLlc.png&t=663&c=FBMBJt3KCcJu9Q)

Don't get me wrong, I do like a big block. But I think it's a pathetic indictment of all sides that useful stuff like segwit has to be held to ransom to get other changes through. And I will forever believe that r/btc is filled with freaks.
Gosh... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Ethereum pumper only has 2000 BTC left to support before his pump collapses and Ethereum drops back down to 0.016 or worse.
I wouldn't be holding it right now. The longer-term momentum indicators have the potential to turn very negative here.

What's going on with ETH...
Shouldn't come as that much of a surprise. The drop from 0.034 was practically without any bounce.

What happens if during the next day the price has an up or down swing of some 60$, say from 530$ early morning to 470$ later, who wins, or is the win split?
The bet is resolved at an exact time - 12PM GMT, so there shouldn't be this issue.

Look how time flies, down $10 since that was posted.

Not entirely parsimonious. I did sell 300 bitcoins back in September 2013 to help buy my house. If I had waited another couple of months I would have been able to buy a few houses outright. So, that is why I'm exercising some patience now.
Ah well, you can't win them all. And if you bought those coins in 2011 or 2012, you've still done very well in any case.

it makes labor more expensive in the US too, basically exporting jobs to, guess where, china, where it just got cheaper to produce goods. It also keeps jobs in China, as they had been losing labour competitiveness for around a decade mostly due to Yuan appreciation.

There are certain feelings that we don't have the ability to express in one clear, concise word. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If you could, it would be a thu'um though ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Apparently there'll be an auction on 20th June for around 24,000 BTC that were seized by Australian authorities.

So if everyone's expecting the price to rise, the market might as well crash ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I think it rather a categorical error to call the posters in such threads as this " everybody". And weren't we lectured previously that everybody was holding in anticipation of a rise, which thus couldn't arise, and we'd be fools not to split before the maddening crowds?
