I have had mine running for a week or so now and no hardware issues. They run quick and low temp. DualMiner has also stated they do warranty replacements or money back if they do malfunction. Not too bad for a Gen 1 device.

Thanks for changing the log-in process. It is never fun to worry about getting hacked. Great work on the pool.

Moot point right now unfortunately. I was finally satisfied it was all good to go so hardware wise and was going to move it to the server room. Since I cannot lift anything I had to wait for my wife to carry it. Long story short I asked her to wait a min so I could unplug it while I went to the bathroom and she didn't. She broke the Ethernet socket off the board trying to unplug the cable. I've spent all the time since I last posted about the seeing if I could fix it. Nope not at all. Closest I get is a general connection with 80% packet loss and no mining. I feel like crawling into a hole and staying there. I cannot seem to have anything just go ok. We only had it a couple days now it is broken. I hate being so injured that I cannot do things myself. End of rant. I will save the first argument if I can resurrect it. Thanks for the help I appreciate it. Ok that makes me wonder then what I am missing then. I put this in the Avalon and enabled --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1,192.168.0.100/110 but it still has not shown up in either system with MuM. That IP range is not valid. Try changing it back to what I had: 192.168.0.0/24 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIDR_notation#CIDR_notation

Try the user Cablez on here. He makes tons of custom cables and such. Hey guys, I just saw this on ebay limited seller history but seems a real decent price. how many usable ports do you think I will get with the 1x 20V 4.5A Power Supply? http://www.ebay.com/itm/261376179469so I recived this hub and it works well with 4 overclocked NFY jellowjackets and 2 over clockd ants but dosnt have enough power to handle 3 Block erupters also Do they make a molex to barrel adapter or maybe a 6 pin to barrel adaper? I took the hub apart it looks to be 4- 5 port hubs I don't feel comfortable removing the existing power socket ( a yellow barrel type) and wiring in atx power ( what lines? how many? ect?) I need like 12 to 15 amps I feel to populate it and overclock

What do I put in the argument box in MuM? I did put the argument in the Avalon --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1,192.168.0.100/110 I do not have anything in MuM though now. I am not sure what to put other than the default Port 4028. I feel a bit dumb right now like I am missing something simple by trying to overthink it. There is nothing to put into MultiMiner. It automatically shows Network Devices on the same local network as long as they have their API settings configured to allow access.

Those arguments were for the Avalon (or any other Network Device). When you put those into MultiMiner you basically overrode the API arguments so that MultiMiner could no longer communicate with the BFGMiner instances it was launching.

CanaryInTheMine is an excellent escrow. He has done a couple for me now. I found a buyer, I need a reliable escrow please. Anyone? I prefer a mod or someone who does escrows alot.

No I put that argument in MuM. I must have messed that up I suspect now that you say that. Ok now it will not mine and I get the same error when I hit stop. Have to reboot to get it to open again and still does not run. I am going to take out the argument for the Avalon API and see if it stops.
Just to be clear - you put that argument on your Avalon, not in MultiMiner right?
|
|
|
Ok when I take out the API argument the crashing stops and it mines. I'm not sure what is going on with it or if I was doing something incorrectly.

I know I just had not seen it so long there in a well a long time. LOL Seems to be good now though. Anyone know if there is a problem at BTCGuild? I have not had a Block Reward in over 3hrs. Usually it is once to twice and hour. Anyone else having the same issue? I cannot find any info anywhere. Thanks
Block solving is random. It can take less than a minute (happens a few times a month at least), it can take 3-4 hours. On *average* it takes about 40 minutes. If the pool is having *very* bad luck, it can be upwards of 6-7 hours. 2-3 hours is not uncommon in the slightest.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. What do you run instead of the dualminer software? It does seem buggy to say the least. they have a warranty. but mine run fine and have been doing so ever since I stopped running the dualminer software.
I shouldn't say I'm not running the software it's not 100% accurate. I running the cgminer 3.1.1 that is modified and in the cgminer win 32bit folder that comes with the software. I also messed around with the "--dualminer-pll ###" frequency modifier. 800 is pretty stable and 850 gives a little more but I don't want to push these little dudes to far just yet. Of course, I don't have a clue what I'm actually doing but 850 makes a teeny bit more khs and is still stable so...whatever.

I had to reboot the system to get it to work. So far no errors. It still is not showing the Avalon either. I will try the argument from the main system.

Everytime I open MuM. Sorry for the long post of that I thought I had it in a scrollbox. I'm shutting down now to retry. I am getting this error. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
Does it happen every time you click Stop? I'm not getting that and haven't seen it before. Is it reproducible?

I used this argument. --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1,192.168.0.100/110 I have my Avalon mac address bound to 192.168.0.100 for simplicity. So far it has not popped up but I will give it a bit. Thanks for the directions. Is there a bit of instructions somewhere on what I would need to configure to get the API to show up on the networked device? I have an Avalon and I have API Allow enabled on the the unit but I am not sure what to do from there.
You need to add the following arguments: --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0/24 Swap out the IP address and range for your own local network. After that you just need to wait a few minutes and it should show up in MultiMiner.

I am so looking forward to support for it. The version of cgminer for it is buggy and frequently interferes with the rest of my setup. The miner itself works excellently. It runs fast and at low temps. Thanks for the work on getting support for them in there. Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus that I'm very interested in seeing MultiMiner and your work on BFGMiner support the new DualMiner USB.
Hit a roadblock but working on it. Shouldn't be long.

Is there a bit of instructions somewhere on what I would need to configure to get the API to show up on the networked device? I have an Avalon and I have API Allow enabled on the the unit but I am not sure what to do from there. Thanks Okay folks - time to ask for help from those who like to live on the edge Version 2.6 of MultiMiner will include, among other things, automatic detection of network miners, e.g. AntMiner S1, MinePeon, etc. There is absolutely no configuration in MultiMiner. As long as the device is configured to allow API access, it should show up automatically in MultiMiner within a minute or so. Here is a pre-release with the basics of this feature completed. Thanks in advance for the feedback! Version 2.6 PR2 (pre-release) is now available for testing for those with the time This feature is now completed for 2.6 so any feedback is very much appreciated. The rest of the features for 2.6 will involve MultiMiner Remoting. Network Device DiscoveryDownload link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/akpsic6sru66mqe/MultiMiner-2.6.0.zipThis feature is - for now - completely automated. MultiMiner will automatically find RPC API servers on the local network. It will automatically filter out both its own miners and any miners pointed at its own Stratum Proxy. For now the UI assumes that these Network Devices are mining Bitcoin, though that will be expanded upon in the future. Please, if you have time, kick the tires on this and let me know if you find any issues. This build also includes all of the latest fixes from the 2.5 versions. Edit: I've updated the above download link with Version 2.6 PR3. This includes a few minor fixes as well as support for installing MultiMiner and bfgminer updates on all of your rigs at once via MultiMiner Remoting. Now this feature has the chicken-and-egg scenario - it won't kick in until the next public version is available. However, if you get your rigs on this 2.6.0 PR3 now, once 2.6.1 drops you should be able to update all your rigs with a single click.
