WTH is going on? I am not understanding the last few posts. Is kano.is doing battle with another pool? WHY?

Thanks,

OK, sounds like a good thing, but I have the DUB wallet v1.2.0.0 installed and have a tough time getting it to sync. Is there a new one I am supposed to download?

Thanks

The new wallet hasn't been released yet. I'm still working on it. You should have, at the least 2 connections. I'm not around my computer at the moment. Does it have the soundcloud integration? That is the most updated wallet.

Yup...soundcloud is in mine, so must be the latest. I have 3 nodes, as of last night, but also have a slew of staked orphans. Can't wait for a new wallet in hopes it takes care of the orphan problem.

Thanks

OH DANG,

Still having trouble getting my wallet to sync. Are there any nodes I need to add? I was staking this even tho I only have a couple of hundred coins (315.98276131 TX) and it was doing great until the fork.

Also, can anyone fill me in on how well the mining is going? How are the payouts (amounts)?

Ok...thx for any help with syncing. Much appreciated.

Hi,

We've added CBX to the miners multipool: www.zpool.ca

Cheers!

Well...that's great, but I am told that POW mining will end very soon. If so, you are very late to the game, but thanks anyway.

2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : *NEW WALLET* v1.73 The most unique coin ever created in Crypto. on: December 03, 2015, 03:03:31 PM
Hi guys, i wan to share my idea about wallet.
As we can see, FlyCoin wallet is being updated oftenly, so everyone needs to check thread, look for the changes, download and replace the executable.
How about making an autoupdate option? When wallet starts then it needs to check for the latest versions, show some dialog with the changes and "Install" button.
We are making Fly better, and, IMHO, this option will make it much better and easier to use!
I 100% agree with this idea because I've only been in FLY for a short time and I've already had to update my wallet 3 times lol And especially with a POS coin I like to make sure that I'm always up to date so that I can maximize my staking rewards Smiley Cheers

Love the idea. I will add this to the list. It may not come right away as we have more important coding to be done, first. But rest assured I want this implemented. I know it has been done. Ive already messaged both devs to include this when they can.

Vegas

SWEET!! Now, maybe, ... just maybe, some of you can see why I am so FREAKIN' AMPED about FLY. Best devs, Best community, Best altcoin ever. Fly really is a revolution in the world of cryptocoins.

From day 1 - Vegas promised an interesting but, possibly bumpy ride on this flight.

The more interesting the better  Wink What's up with the new wallet?  Don't want to send my coin to an outdated wallet...

If you have wallet V1.7.1, then you are good to go. Just don't send any coins to Cryptopia yet. They are still working on that code.

Well its no secret that I dived in this project premature. Im not concerned at all as everyone can see clearly that my intent is all good. That is my main concern is that people will panic when there is no reason to panic. I have a very obscure system that might take a few tries to get right. But I wont give up because this is going to be to the benefit of the people that need it the most. I will be working non stop diligent until we have everything right. Those that remain calm , as everyone has will LOVE the end result. So work with us, we are going to put you through a few more updates, and I promise , you will be sooooo glad you stuck by our side. Thanks to everyone. I will be working wtih Keesdewit all day long on this, and will be posting on progress throughout the day.

Vegas

Thanks so much for the work you and keesdewit have been doing. I haven't been in a panic or even worried. Just waiting is such a hard game to play in Crypto-world. lol
Keep us informed.

OK..thanks....all I knew was to withdraw my coins to v 1.7.1. Just making sure.

Hey, I see you have XRA in your sig. Are you a dev for them too? I only have a few but it hasn't been doing very good. Hanging onto the few I have.

Thanks,
CapnBDL
      Cool

Yep, XRA is working quite nicely, have had no reason to make any forks or additions to the code because the blockchain is performing exactly as it should!

But from investors side it was very wise from Vegas, to warn us, before something could get worst! We are really working on a serious coin and handle it like a business...Also, we can make mistakes, like u!

If we fully understand UR bugs, we can move on and everything will work smoothier than before!

I didn't make this last fork, so the bugs are not mine. And to be honest keez has done an amazing job with what I have seen in the commits. When I created the additional transaction fee code, it was something that had never been done or seen before and is quite complex. keez added another even more complex layer to the code, and of course there are bound to be bugs with this level of complexity and on vegas' time table of get it done tomorrow or I will blow everything up.

Realistically it would be great if vegas had a more accomodative/non-adhd timeline where the developer could use testnet for a few weeks to make sure everything works as it should and make proper bug fixes. Unfortunately the timetable is much different and major protocol updates are being crammed in way to fast.

I have now sold out the majority of my FLY but still have a few lingering around to play with. I will continue watching the thread and hopefully vegas will post the full details about what is going on, instead of just private messaging them only to crestington.

Oh Man....so it is true that you are done with FLY? CRAP!! Sorry to see you go. I still like the idea behind FLY tho, even if I don't have a bunch. Sure wish I would have known you were selling. I'd like to buy a few more. Not enough for a bunch...is sux to be poor.

I'm sure FLY will miss you. Good Luck.

and Thanks,

So long as cryptopia plans to get to the correct version of the wallet when it is available and they keep the wallet in maintenance mode so you cannot withdraw until they have it on the correct version, there should be no reason to move your coins at all. I think their may be a fundamental misunderstanding here.. you cannot erase balances from the blockchain, unless you roll back the chain.

I suppose some of the confusion here is that the information about what is going on is for some reason being kept private. Why is the most honest guy in crypto keeping secrets is one of the questions I have about this.

Like u wrote, it seems, it was a totally misunderstanding, how the exchanges work.

But from investors side it was very wise from Vegas, to warn us, before something could get worst! We are really working on a serious coin and handle it like a business...Also, we can make mistakes, like u!

Thanks for keeping us so informed. I don't know code or how exchange coding works either, so I am doing my best to keep the FLY investors informed. Some of them never bother to read the thread and depend on..'FuD' or the crap they read in the troll-rooms. I try to give them the straight scoop, as I understand it. But the tech stuff is over my head. Trying to put it into common days terms is tough sometimes. Most people know me in the rooms, so I'm trusted (I hope). Like my sig line says..stuck here anyway, so why not help a coin you believe in? It just me!! lol

Thanks again and as soon as I hear something, I can let others know,

So, let me get this straight...if I don't move them thru the 1.7.1 wallet update but still see them, the way it was described to me is that you won't be able to spend them or they are frozen or something. Just asking...I withdrew mine anyway. It was OK to redeposit on Cryptopia once I did that, correct?

Thanks,

Hi vegasguy,

I have a small problem. I was running late this morning and forgot to withdraw 5.69672940 FLY from YoBit. I got home from Church just as the time was expiring, but I guess not in time. And JEEZ LOUISE, after I warned everyone about this too. I feel like the biggest dope. I suppose it is lost forever, huh? Please...no favors, because if you make an exception for me, someone else will want the same. I'm just sayin'....I guess there is 5 more that never get claimed in the chain.

OK..so, what is up with the new wallet. Can I let people know that it is OK to use V1.7.1 with Cryptopia? What if anyone lost FLY during whatever needed to be fixed?

Thanks...just trying to keep Team FLY informed but didn't want to disturb your nap...I am sure you guys have been working hard.

Thanks,

HiYa folks,

Just a quick bit of info on my mining. I have been doing this a long time, almost since the BTC concept began (Silkroad and all) and was solo mining using just my CPU. I didn't have anything more than what my computers had built into them and being a 'geek' for this and a retired custom system builder, my stuff is usually the best that I can afford, better than the stock stuff on the shelves. In all that time I was never lucky enough to find a single block. Slushs Pool came around and I gave that a shot for the better part of a year (maybe more), hated the payout. Tried Eligius, P2P, and GiveMeCoins (still mine LTC & PPC there) and still never hit a block. I knew when kano.is came online but was intimidated by the numbers being pumped out. I've been on BCT a lot longer than my profile shows, mainly as a lurker and seeker of knowledge. I finally felt comfortable with mining here and always knew this was the place to mine. Best pool around, don't know much about the solo pool, but with my luck, it's pool mining on www.kano.is for me. Best OPs in the biz!!

I learned all the in's & out's, but being the 'average joe', I still had cost to consider. I am retired, my sig line is true and this is what is built now:

Two - S3+ operating (CapnBDL.1&2) in the pool.
Two - RockMiner rBox110 (CapnBDL.3&4) in the pool
Five - USB RedFury sha on GiveMeCoins PPC pool
Three - Gridseed Blades with 1 always mining LTC @ GiveMeCoins and the other 2 mining whatever scrypt I feel might offer a reward in trading for BTC
One - nVidia GTX750Ti2GB video card mining 'quark' on a multi-payout pool.
Any additional equipment pops my circuit breaker (maxed out)

All of these are running overclocked with the exception of the s3's (the electricity outweighed ROI)

I have some other miners NOT on-line (both sha & scrypt), soon to be 'fleabay' listed. (good stuff)

I am ROI on equipment but the electricity cost is close to break even. It's my retirement hobby.

This is the first time (and last) I've ever given out any detail on my experience or equipment, but I am 'NO NOOB' at this. Not sure why I felt the need to air all this out but there it is.

YEA for the pool...My first block, happy to share.
