He'll be gone.
2123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6.66 million BTC on: June 26, 2011, 12:54:07 AM
Not even Fox News would do such a thing.

Use the 6.66 as a headline that is.
2124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new Bitcoin Wallet generator Hack out! on: June 26, 2011, 12:35:12 AM
No this is the new (Forum.TrollGen.exe) at work, generates random crap threads every 30 sec.

Version 0.3.24 is now available.
2125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin radio / TV show on: June 26, 2011, 12:32:57 AM
Let us know when you're going to go live so I can dial in. Please include the proper information to get us connected to you!! Grin

From what I gather http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=21764.msg276979 , he is actually actively looking to ensure he makes sure no one can listen to him but making himself a show with no time slot or place
2126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SIGNATURE POST REQUIREMENTS on: June 25, 2011, 11:27:57 PM
Coolhwip, I can tell isn't a troll by posts, but definitely angry at the world lol
2127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make it 100 posts to get out of here. on: June 25, 2011, 11:27:14 PM
I see the problem. But I don't see how this is the solution. There are people like Synaptic, replying to every post with obscenities. And people like me who read and don't say anything unless they think it will actually contribute to the discussion. Which behaviour you want to encourage?
I agree that it is not the solution, but it is a solution for now.  I see threads pop up with people complaining, few offer better solutions, so until then .. :/

As far as other users spamming, I am not sure of the person you talk about, but if they are doing it anywhere else other than the Newbie forum, I'm sure it won't last long.

Also, every post has a 'Report to Moderator' in the bottom right hand corner, I like a clean forum, I use it Smiley

Either way, I can tell, you'll be fine.  Find the Whitelist thread and request faster approval, going those means works as well.
2128  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Bank on: June 25, 2011, 11:22:57 PM
Nice commercial for FreeBitCoin lol
2129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make it 100 posts to get out of here. on: June 25, 2011, 11:14:18 PM
i'll add another pointless post to add to my count....

high counts promote more trolling and spamming..... i've purposefully been posting useless shit like this and being a dick because I have nothing important to post about in order to meet whatever the current amount you need is

Sad.

Have faith that impatient people and people abusing the established system that they signed up for will be weeded out over the course of as the mods come to it.  It's a sad fact that a lot of the mods have lives (most likely) so can't, and I hope never do, monitor this place all minutes of the day.

I enjoy these Newbie forums because I obviously get a kick out of people complaining that they can't reply to text on their screen in certain areas that they would have access to if they would just be active, I guess it's harder than it seems to .. write.. text.. relating.. to .. Bitcoin lol
2130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tradehill or MtGox on: June 25, 2011, 10:41:32 PM
From what I heard, Tradehill is out of Chile, while MtGox is out of Japan, so it makes you think.
Think what?  Racist thoughts? lol
2131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitBetter.org - bitcoin fun on: June 25, 2011, 10:40:36 PM
Oh god, your commercial is funny as fuck

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh2Xvu1328M

I like your enthusiasm and even basic ideas like the pizza ordering, makes sense.  Also, I see you must like social media lol (fix twitter link btw), but make sure to use all these things.  Sometimes a site with a lot of things that aren't getting used looks off putting to the general user.

Good luck, I hope your site progresses.
2132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make it 100 posts to get out of here. on: June 25, 2011, 10:34:11 PM
Also I don't like being forced to doing things I don't find logical. We maybe relatively new to the forum. That doesn't mean you old timers can treat us like 16 year old kids (no offence to 16 year olds).
This is a public forum ran by people who choose to make the rules.  You are coming on their turf, they will treat you, me, and everyone like 12 year old kids if necessary to keep the bullshit in line.

Browse around, 100 posts may not be the best answer, but right now you have to keep the Newbies out of regular discussions or hell would break loose.
2133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attn: Tradehill on: June 25, 2011, 10:30:28 PM
I don't think that is the thing that will make or break their site at the moment lol
2134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: does the mining software connect to a centralised server? on: June 25, 2011, 09:24:23 PM
You are wrong. Over 300 posts and you don't even know how this works...

First let's make the distinction between the actual bitcoin client, and the mining software because they are two different things.
I'll stop right there, I didn't even notice it in the subject, definite distinction as I am not a miner so I will keep out.  No need to be an ass, as if it was just the regular software, I'm right you big meanie douche Sad
2135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talk on Twitter on: June 25, 2011, 09:21:33 PM
Of course, because the future of bitcoin lies with pornographers and drug dealers...hooraaaah!

It is a present battle of personal freedom.   Adult business, ie weed and women, to simplify it, are things people have enjoyed, continue to enjoy, and will enjoy.  If something like Bitcoin can come in for people to make it it a little more stress free to obtain, well I really feel it is the sole reason for Bitcoin's success at all  Tongue
2136  Other / Off-topic / Re: This Forum is Looking More and More like 4chan on: June 25, 2011, 09:16:17 PM
I am for testing, big time.

And while we are on the topic of newbies, I'd like to implement that testing to all countries, before people are allowed to have kids.  If you want them but don't pass the test, then you aren't allowed to use the hospital facilities to give birth.

Honestly the forum just needs more mods probably.  I really don't run into that much bad stuff outside of the Newbie forum.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talk on Twitter on: June 25, 2011, 09:13:02 PM
Yes, I agree. All the talk about drugs and money laundering was not positive for bitcoin.

I would argue that it was positive in the long term, just seemingly bad PR for the mass.

Luckily Bitcoin does not deal with the masses so people should be trading and thinking about Bitcoin with such things in mind Smiley
2138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make it 100 posts to get out of here. on: June 25, 2011, 09:11:22 PM
Bonus Tip for Newbies - Reply to every post on the first page here with actual content.  If the conversation doesn't interest you, pretend it does and let's see if you can participate instead of talk about post counts!
2139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make it 100 posts to get out of here. on: June 25, 2011, 09:10:18 PM
The trolls are the ones that will make it out fastest. The rest is stuck here in limbo.

I disagree.  You'd be surprised but mods do check posts.

Quality and Quantity both go a long way.  I personally know that if you don't have shit posts, you will get released early.

In the end the people getting the benefit are the patient ones, which if it a spammer, at least they won't be a spazz spammer lol
2140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: does the mining software connect to a centralised server? on: June 25, 2011, 09:07:36 PM
They are not connected to a central server.   That is part of the reason why it is awesome.

You find out the reason why yourself, there is no laymens terms for the depth of what goes behind Bitcoin working.  Sadly, this is the reason why it works and why geeks love it.
