It was very important for them to stay in the Premier League this season because none of big players would be eager to join a second league team in that case. Liverpool were the major losers this season,although they tried to get to the final of the champions league,and also was in a competition with Manchester city to win the premier league this season,but all went fruitless,when they lost to Real Madrid,and Mancity came back from a 2-0 down to win Aston Villa,and later won 3-2 in a bid to win the tittle.Liverpool were left frustrated after they didn't win any of those two.I am not really happy that Liverpool did not win the champions league,because English teams have been playing well and deserve to win it again.
Liverpool wanted to get the quadruple or maybe a treble this just concluded season but in the end we couldn’t. They just have to settle with the Carabao and FA Cup. I understand that both the team and fans will be feeling disappointed but I think their season wasn't a bad one at all. In the EPL, as at January no one thought they could have cut the points down to one. Their route to the UEFA Champion's League final was quite easy but they were impressive and gave Real Madrid a good fight in the final. |

I am so sure that Real Madrid defense will be strong enough with Alaba-Rüdiger as center-backs. There is some news like Inter are getting prepared to make an offer for Romelu Lukaku. They seem to be serious about having him back in the lineup soon but we don't know what Chelsea are going to think about this yet. Romelu Lukaku has been having tough days at Chelsea in the recent times. He lost his place in the starting eleven to Kai Havertz and this was like a bad signal for him to be sent from the team. I remember his statement related to Inter which created some problems between him and the team for a short time. In my opinion, it'd be better for him to return to Inter now.
His season in the Chelsea squad has been really rough. I think it is in the best interest of both the player and the club that he leaves. He came to the club with really big expectations but he failed miserably. I think him being really expensive was a big reason why he felt a lot of pressure. It is very obvious that he is not feeling at home in this club at all. I believe he should move to Inter because he had a lot of success with that team previously and I believe that League is also going to be favorable for him compared to the English Premier League. Romelu Lukaku haven't had great seasons with big clubs in England, first with Chelsea were he was loaned severally before sold. If Liverpool loses to Salah and Mane together, their attack will be completely broken. Although Liverpool is a stable team, but still they rely heavily on these two players. So I don't think they will decide to sell these two players together. Despite the decision to sell Sadio Mane, Salah will probably be seen in Liverpool's jersey for a few more seasons. Mane and Salah have been Liverpool's two main players in recent seasons, it is clear Liverpool will lose a lot of strength in attack if both leave together in one season. Salah and Mane have stabilized Liverpool's attack during this time, and if both of them are no longer in Liverpool uniforms then I believe Liverpool's attack will be a bit chaotic and not as good as the last few seasons. I also believe that Salah will not be following in Mane's footsteps any time soon because Liverpool still really want this player to stay for the next few seasons. So whatever it is, Liverpool must be able to convince Salah not to go anywhere even though sooner or later he will be replaced. I do agree with you that two players must be retained even though Liverpool have strikers Jota, Diaz, and Firmino but I'm not sure if three of these players can be like Salah and Mane of course we won't think it's a bit of a mess if there is a second departure, whatever some of their rumors can still be maintained as long as the Liverpool manager can convince him. Of course sooner or later they will be replaced but for several seasons it needs to be maintained again so that Liverpool can compete again in the EPL, especially the UCL, of course, there will be many doubts if they leave Liverpool will not be stable. Mane came out with a statement after yesterday's CL loss - saying that he still has unfinished business at Liverpool. Liverpool's 3 forwards are all entering the final year of their contracts and it will be interesting to see what will Liverpool do with these.
I expect Mane and Salah both to extend, with Firmino staying for a year more and then leaving on a free transfer.
Could that statement be a sign if Mane stays at Liverpool? I think Sadio Mane is leaving Liverpool FC this summer, Mane is one guy that gives all to this Liverpool team but earn less than James Milner. I think he's just been diplomatic after the loss yesterday, from his body language it is obvious he isn't happy anymore at the club. I think an improved contract might make him stay or else Sadio Mane may be gone already. We are still waiting for an official statement.

When I saw in the news that Newcastle United’s non-playing staff have received their first pay rise in several years, I knew the club is in to regain its status as one of the giants in the EPL. I think they will be splashing money to acquire services of players in seasons to come, the only problem is that most top players will be reluctant and unwilling to join them unless they get a world class and renowned manager that will make them believe in the club's project.
