No doubt in everyone mind it will bit 1000 again.
The question remain unclear is how high will bitcoin go.
The question is when... If it reaches $1000 in 2140, it wouldn't benefit anybody, ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Can we say that the current bitcoin price is the best predictor of the future price as is the case with other currencies? Has anyone done a serial correlation study or something similar. I saw a quote that daily bitcoin volatility is about 7.6%. So in a year whatever your prediction you should plus or minus 7.6*(365^0.5) percent.
Implying a floor of zero. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Right now the Bitcoin is about anonymity. It uses a protocol called TOR (The Onion Router) that allows the giver and receiver to remain anonymous, which makes it dangerous. In my book, it's used by the criminal underworld.
And I guess this is the portion which will be picked up when politicians / decision makers start gathering information about bitcoin. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Rigged article it is. No new start-up has surfaced in past few months. Coinsecure is more than year old. What's new in ecosystem? After almost being forced to shut down, these start-ups might just survive. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

That's how the dollar will end, probably. And it probably will take at least 8 years before the deflationary phase, and 2 years in the deflationary phase before hyperinflation starts.
That is 10 years for our elected representatives to fix the system. Hope they don't screw up things for that long.

China's foreign currency reserves are massive, 3.3 trillion total and about 2.2 trillion of that in USD denominated assets. Despite their recent build up in their gold holdings (to 1000 to 3000 tons, nobody knows the exact number) they hold a lot more "paper" US dollars for every gold dollar, e.g. gold is only about 2% of their foreign currency reserves.
If China ever moved in a big way from paper USD to gold, it would have a massive effect on the market.
Even if China stops accumulating further USD, it would make a huge difference.

Yes bitcoin was very much a bubble at the time. The high prices of most bubbles are eventually surpassed over time as fundamentals of the underlying asset catches up to the price of the asset.
Definitely. At that point of time, there was nothing to justify its valuation. There is only so much of future potential (given the uncertainty) that you can squeeze into its valuation. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

The best would be to get a bitcoin app for your phone, send like 0.25 to it and try to use it as much as possible. Get used to how the transfers go, and how quick things are verified. Experience always is the best.
OP should just research more before trying out small amounts to online wallet or lightweight wallets and get more experience. No newbies would immediately buy $125+ for a thing they don't have knowledge about. they don't have knowledge about or cant afford...

There are lot scams and frauds But, usually people know difference scams / not Currently Blockchain.info estimates USD transaction volume at $40M daily. Are there any statistic regarding total fraud in Bitcoin transactions?
there aren't any fraud statistic. but usually very small amount If you include losses due to hacking, a couple of large transactions can really skew the total amount. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Just imagine you sell or buy with just a click on facebook using bitcoins, This is an opportunity bitcoin should grab, and facebook should not miss! Why did you intentionally phrase the title of this thread as a fact ? Rather than phrasing it like the "fantasy" which appears when someone actually goes inside the thread? I hate people who do that. You're annoying. Stop. Yes. A simple '?' instead of '!' would have solved the problem.
