My cryptofolio is down 1/3+  Cry I officially understand the principle of not reacting emotionally. How have others kept their wits during downswings like this?

Welcome to the crypto lol.

It's normal to happen and not just you but the majority might also have the same experience. Now that you already experienced being at a loss, you should know now what's the best thing to do next.

No one can be good in crypto trading if they will experience only a bull trend. A bear trend is the best opportunity to enhance your trading skills.
2122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NY Mayor Take First pay In Bitcoin via coinbase on: January 22, 2022, 09:27:30 AM
Global adoption is now taking place slowly but surely. Not just the NY Mayor but many politicians already show support in accepting cryptocurrencies.

A good move by him but I don't see any special since he still paid by fiat due to regulations but converted to Bitcoin. It's like the usual, he just bought crypto on Coinbase. Since he is a public official, it will contribute to much more awareness about what Bitcoin is all about in general.
2123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market sentiments ? on: January 22, 2022, 09:23:18 AM
Things started looking good, giving a bit relief!!
But wait!!! Again sudden dip of  $5000 in a few hours?? How can we explain it: Are bad actors manipulating it or it just the market sentiments towards downward making such huge pricefall?

You just have to be used to seeing it. Thinking too much about it will give you emotional stress. Whenever we are in a bearish trend, there are really people who are not strong enough to accept what they see in the market.

Whatever the reason, this is normal to see. For how long it will last, no one knows.

Better prepare yourself for things you don't like to see.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 21, 2022, 11:46:07 PM
Hey guys, I'm just curious what are you guys buying during this dip?  because I have added more Near to my bag and with some  eth,Aurora and Bnb, so what are you guys buying maybe I can consider adding it to my bag cause I still have a few usdt left...

Keep your options, at least, on the top coins instead of risking on other tokens.

Since you already have ETH and BNB, just try to accumulate the same coin especially with the latter.

If you are a risky type of person, then see the daily volume and check what's the top-performing altcoins on that day. Then research about that coin before considering putting money.
2125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 21, 2022, 11:44:05 PM
I keep seeing a lot of people who are fearing the price right now, many people who are getting out, and plenty that thinks it will crash even harder.

That's the always case during the bear trend.

And then the next day, if the price goes up, you will see questions like "Is it still too good to invest right now?"

That question will always be questioned regardless of the trend. It's like we should be used to seeing questions like that and if you are annoyed, then just ignore them and mind your own business.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: January 21, 2022, 11:42:24 PM
Just block them or simply move it to spam folder, do we need this much amount of discussion for no real problem?

If you refer to the screenshot provided by OP, there's already advice that Stake gives but still, OP wants the problem to be resolved by Stake itself rather than move forward on its own. Since Self-Exclusion is part of Stake's policy as a responsible gambling operator, OP is looking forward that the platform will properly follow what are those on the terms.

OP really wants to solve the problem by waiting for Stake to fully follow the terms about Self-Exclusion. I don't know what OP went through in the process to the point that he is not considering any alternatives (which is lots) to solve the matter and help himself.

But also casino mention that they have rights to do anything of their terms, if they are doing unfair like changing their terms when someone won huge rewards but the casino is not willing to give it to the user can be claimed as mistake and reputation issue but this is not really bother and even I don't beleive the concept of self exclusion which is just for the sake of being there and not really effective in my opinion. As you said there are lot of ways but still OP is expecting the stake to solve, so he needs to wait and keep following because it will obviously take time for support team.

It has nothing to do about changing the terms. Stake didn't change or modify it but rather, they found a system problem error or something that's why OP is still receiving emails from them. OP can just move on about this but he wants a clear response from Stake.

Since it taking time, I hope OP will now do other's suggestion here and finally move on to his problem.
2127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 21, 2022, 11:39:20 PM
Donaire said no.
Inoue said no.

See, how dangerous he is.

Is that the reason why Casimero is dangerous then I will respond to it by LOL.

If mandated, both Inoue and Donaire will fight Casimero. Inoue is a champion, why should he accept the challenge of Casimero if, in return, there's no good advantage to it. Inoue will just bring Casimero's name in the hype that's why to settle things between them, a boxing organization should mandate a fight.

There are more big benefits for Inoue if he will face another boxer if he steps up on his current division. Much worth comparing fighting with Casimero.

Boxing is business. Not a royal rumble fight ages ago where reputation is a priority.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 21, 2022, 11:35:29 PM
With this new rule in effect (Unrestricted Free Agent), any players could chose which team he wanted to play as long as that team is willing to make an offer to him.

Wait new rule? I'm not aware of this. Is Unrestricted Free Agent are not in PBA terms? I thought there is but not just used mostly. Cheesy

Before it is "Restricted Free Agent", the mother team has always the rights to sign the players if the contract of that players expires unless they want to trade him.

But this rule is in effect only on the players drafted in the year 2014 if i'm not mistaken.

Let's take the case of Rodney Brondial, the Aces has offered him a two-year contract after his contract expired but he declined the offer and signed with SMB. Maybe the offer of SMB is lesser but the opportunity to play for the championship is high thus the bonus awaits hehe.

Thank you for the information.

If we take the example of Rodney Brondial, that was the same as the terms under Unrestricted Free Agent in the NBA. Nah ok let's stop the confusion Cheesy

But yes, I agree with the last part of the statement, SMB even offers a lowered contract to him, has the chance of getting a championship compared to playing with Alaska that needs a big revamp to compete in the league.

But Banchero should not opt-out of that if he's not sure that there are teams who are interested in signing him. I mean he's not a consistent cager but confident that the preferred team will sign him right away.

Any mentioned teams he wants to be signed with?
2130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 20, 2022, 11:34:35 PM
Hopefully the match will push through if this rumor is true,

What do you mean by "hopefully the match will push through"?

Do you see any news or articles that it will be canceled?

Can you share the rumor links?

and yes there’s a higher chance now for Magsayo to upset Russell on the early round and the odds are backing it up. Magsayo should remain focus though and not to be complacent, Russell will still throw punches for sure.

I think that was the other way.

Magsayo's odds of winning per round is high meaning the sports bookies think that it will happen by a low chance. The same goes for Moneyline odds.
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 20, 2022, 11:30:02 PM
So maybe another lost by them will mean that Vogel's stint as a Lakers coach is over.

Not seeing that for now. The Lakers management is in full support of Vogel. For example, on that last game, during the last few minutes where Vogel decided to sit Westbrook, it was supported by the Lakers management, and see nothing wrong with that. It means, they trust Vogel's judgment.

But yes, we don't how long. The problem with the Lakers is the whole of them.
2132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 20, 2022, 11:26:34 PM
I know like everybody knows that Spence is an elite level while Ugas is not, but I just don't want to underestimate another Champion because the possibility for Ugas to win is actually not very slim.

And not all boxing analyst predicts that Spence is a sure win. Risky to bet a big amount for a small return. In other words, it's necessary for gamblers to stake a high amount just to feel the profits.

Let's see what's the odds once our preferred sportsbook will list the fight. I might put on Ugas depending on the situation on the day where odds will be released on the crypto sportsbook. For now, I'm not considering Spence is a sure win here. Ugas might don't have that good name before but he has the power to defeat Spence.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: January 20, 2022, 11:21:26 PM
As I thought at first, this fight might not actually happen. No signs of doing some preparations nor agreement up to this point. Good to see that this was canceled. The legendary Mike Tyson should not make it to the point to fight the likes of Logan Paul where everything is entertainment.

I wonder who's boxer will Logan Paul try to lure.

It's time now to lock this thread.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 17, 2022, 11:46:29 PM
I don't know the pre-match odds for the games today but I bet the Cavs and the Grizz are the underdogs against the Nets and the Bulls respectively. How are your bets going?

If my memory served me right and correct me if wrong here, the Cavaliers are around 2.3 to win the match while the Nets have 1.8. About the Bulls vs Grizzlies, I think the odds aren't that gap. Refer to the NBA betting thread if someone puts money on either of these teams on Moneyline.

And about that game between the Bulls and Grizzlies, the latter won in that match. I like how their head Coach is utilizing every part of their roster and not just relying on their main key players.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 17, 2022, 11:42:39 PM
As with everyone's sayings, we should not expect an update if we keep seeing high cases every day. IATF won't change its decision until these numbers will be lowered for the next days or weeks. What matters here is, there are lots of mild cases and asymptomatic. This Delta variant is too light to make people at their worst unless with already in the worst medical condition prior to contracting the virus.

I'm still hoping we can see the current conference to finish rather than reset it on the new conference which is the All-Filipino Conference.
2136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 17, 2022, 11:39:48 PM
Well, Magsayo is the challenger, he should be the aggressive, he cannot win if he cannot convince the judges but the better way to convince them is to KO Rusell, that's hard to do but it's possible if he study his opponent and train hard for this fight.

Judges would always favor the champion if the challenger is not aggressive enough unless it's pretty obvious that he boxes out the champion which we only see in rare cases. Since Magsayo is a knockout puncher, I expect a knockout in this fight, hopefully the champion will be the recipient of the KO punch.

I'm also expecting a KnockOut win, of course by our own Magsayo but Gary Russell is a tough one. We might see Magsayo dominating his previous opponents with that speed and power but those opponents are nowhere to the skills of the champion, Gary Russell. That will be the first time for Magsayo to face a dominant opponent in his career so everything will be new to him.

Just stay humble though. I like Magsayo's being optimistic but he should just show that on the ring, not via statement or speech.

Filipinos are not good in speech, lol.. They are good in the ring because actions speaks louder for them. I will root for him no matter how underdog he is, I know there's a value of my money on that odds and I don't mind losing also, that's a way to support, risk some money for the one you are leaning with.

That's not what I meant on that post haha.

What I meant is, Magsayo just needs to stay humble and stay away from releasing statements that he has the advantage against the champion, Gary Russell. I forgot where I read this but I saw an article where Magsayo is 100% sure he can win. I like that confidence as it means, he is 100% prepared but for me, it's better if he will say it on a statement like, I'm sure I will win at 100% but not degrading Russell here or something like that.

I will put a bet on Magsayo as support although honestly, the chance of winning is only around 40% based on my observation. No offense to that.

I hope I'm wrong as I will support our own here.
2137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 17, 2022, 11:36:14 PM
We will never know until we will see them fight again. What if the case of GGG is different compared to Pacman? we know that Pacman was not 100% focus in boxing because he is also active in politics, and maybe that was the reason why he lose in his fight with Ugas, but GGG I think is only focus with boxing, and that is the difference.

I got your point. GGG doesn't have any activities that will ruin his mind during the preparations, unlike Manny Pacquiao that thinks he can handle multiple and various tasks at the same time and the result is, he is being upset by a challenger that is already out of the topic and competition until that boxer won a fight against Manny.

But since the chance of a third fight between GGG and Canelo has a low chance to happen, what we are ended up with is sharing speculations.
2138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 17, 2022, 11:33:34 PM
That's still a big "IF" Spence Jr. still have those support from both fans and sport bookies. I mean, yes, he will be the favorite here
after some time of rest due to his medical condition, now he's back and ready to defend his belt, great to see this kind of collations,
both fighters are title holders inside this division, a winner takes all fight.

We don't know if upset will happen, but if we will follow the hypes, more fans and gamblers will be eyeing for spence to win this one. Wink Cool

Since Spence will be the sure Favorite on this match, I doubt gamblers will have a good profit if he wins unless they are willing to bet big just to feel the profits. In my own observation, Spence will be at @1.4 max or even lowered. On the other hand, betting on what rounds it will be settled is difficult too.

Let's see what will be our betting options once the fight got listed on our favorite sportsbook.
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 16, 2022, 11:28:54 PM
I just don't know what's in the mind of Casimero as he is now focusing on his youtube vlog instead of his career. I hope that this is just for fun to him to be able to enjoy while there's no word yet from Probellum.

I laughed at this lol.

What do you mean by focus? Always have an updated blog? Can't believe it as by now, he should just be taking a rest. There's no news yet stating Casimero is now 100% recovered. Or maybe he doesn't want to undergo a pure focus on training since he doesn't consider Butler a serious threat.

Quadro Alas should think of creating a better picture.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 16, 2022, 11:25:53 PM
They lost by that much because they aren't really good.  Their age is showing, just getting out played and outplayed in all of their games.  This team will make the playoffs but just won't have enough juice to win anything unless AD is healthy and featured.  He needs to be the focus of the offense when he gets back.

Agree. Even if we see the Lakers are performing worst, they will still reach the playoffs. But the question is, how can they able to compete in a series match if there are lots of consistency at almost, most of them. I also expect, as mentioned by the other user here above, that their worst big loss this season against the Denver Nuggets will fuel the fire for them to become a competitive team again. They will always be in the news for every of their losses compare when winning.
