2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this period killed your desire or exited it on: April 23, 2020, 04:58:21 PM
Hasn't really altered my desire to gamble in the slightest.

I rarely play at brick and mortar casinos anyway, and have worked from home for several years now. As such, the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown has only made things become more of the same.

Nowadays I simply play a few games of dice or minesweeper on crypto-games.net, or I'll run a few hands on Pokerstars.

Since my work has also seen a dramatic uptick recently, I have less time on my hands than ever before, so I really don't have the time to play as often as I'd otherwise like.
2122  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for ideas / advice / feedback for my crypto website on: April 23, 2020, 02:24:16 PM
1. I don't really like the logo, a normal person would not notice the website is called StayPaid, and would instead think it's called TayPaid.
2. What's with the autoplay music, it's not a casino so why the background music?
3. Design is pretty nice, I can see some effort was put into it. But there is a lot of wasted space. Maybe it should dynamically resize based on resolution or device (desktop/mobile).

2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Implement a Max Bet Option on Sportsbooks on: April 22, 2020, 08:16:24 PM
Plenty of sportsbooks that actually care about the health of their players have implemented voluntary withdrawal programs, that essentially lock people out of their own account if they can't get a grip on their gambling addiction.

I actually don't think that implementing a simple max bet size would do much to curtail a true problem gambler, after all, they can simply open successive bets to bypass the limitation. They could also just create an account on a different sportsbook if they're really desperate.

Think about it bro, if you're addicted to something, a simple max bet block is not really going to stop you. If it's easy to bypass, addicted gamblers will bypass it. If it's hard to bypass, they'll find workarounds.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin And Altcoins Positioning To Resume Uptrend on: April 22, 2020, 07:41:25 PM
Lmao, XRP showing bullish signs?

The coin is completely dead on its feet, and has even performed horribly despite altcoins experiencing a resurgence in 2020 (barring the mid-March crash).

Anybody looking to get into the market now should avoid XRP and focus their attention on something like Tezos, Ethereum or Chainlink—these are the strongest performers as of late.

Bitcoin will also likely pump, but due to its huge market cap it's unlikely to appreciate as fast as the aforementioned altcoins.
2125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: April 22, 2020, 07:32:15 PM
Honestly, it's Dice.

As far as I'm aware, Dice has by far the lowest house edge of any cryptocurrency casino game. On crypto-games.net, the house edge for dice is just 0.8%. You don't often see a house edge this low with other games.

Slots, on the other hand, have some of the worst odds around, and some unscrupulous sites have a house edge of up to 25% on this—which is damn insane.

For a true beginner with no experience, you can't go wrong with Dice. After that, you can move to more complex games like Crash, but these have a slightly higher house edge usually.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Cov-19 as excuses on: April 22, 2020, 06:44:42 PM
Well a lot of already failing projects are already using coronavirus as an excuse for their pair performance.

Before this they said that we're in a bear market hence why they're failing on exchanges or haven't launched a product.

Before that they said they're waiting for listing on a top 10 exchange (which isn't happening).

Any project that starts making excuses like this is practically dead on its feet, get your money out at the first hint of failure and you'll cut your losses short.
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is An STO? on: April 22, 2020, 06:09:36 PM
Rather than wasting everybody's time by spreading your trash website, here's a shorter explanation on what an STO is for everybody.

An STO, or security token offering, is the latest way for half-baked blockchain projects to extract money from unwitting idiots that think absolutely every cryptocurrency will pump or appreciate at some point. Most of these are formed by companies or individuals with little to no experience developing products, and few will achieve the heights they aspire to.

Odds are if you invest in an STO you will get rekt, just as the case is with ICO and IEO investments nowadays.

There is a reason only accredited investors can invest in IPOs in most countries!
2128  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto-Games.net ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐Largest Wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: April 22, 2020, 06:04:48 PM
Looks like a lot of high rollers are wagering with Ethereum these days.

I guess they're not happy with Ethereum's measly 40% gain since 2020 began  Grin

Nope, these guys are after the big wins. 100% in 1 bet > 40% in almost 5 months.

Keep it up guys!
2129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: April 22, 2020, 02:35:05 PM
Not personally, but I have lived with a few compulsive gamblers during my time and I can tell you they had a severely disrupted sleep pattern due to their addiction.

One would stay up gambling all night trying to win back his losses with increasingly risky strategies, while the other one was a sports bettor that would bet on foreign matches because of "tip-offs" he received that they were fixed. Needless to say, 9 times out of 10 the match wasn't fixed and he ended up getting rekt.

I can imagine that those that have lost a lot of money due to gambling might also have difficulties sleeping due to the worries it can cause. It does get better over time, but these people need to learn to kick the habit once and for all so they can recover.
2130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 51% attack a crime? on: April 21, 2020, 09:53:56 PM
I would personally say it's not a crime.

Most blockchains and their surrounding communities adhere to the principles of code is law. If the code allows people to subvert the network by gaining a majority of the hashrate, then so be it.

Worst case scenario, they'll re-org a few blocks and then there will be a chain split and they'll be free to do what they want with their forked chain.

Sure, people will lose money, but that's what they signed up to while using that coin.
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Analyst: "Covid-19 Could Spur More States to Legalize Online Casino" on: April 21, 2020, 06:51:27 PM
I really don't think that the government is concerned with casinos right now, especially online ones.

By keeping casinos as brick and mortar, they enter that the money stays within a closed circle. Enabling online casinos can easily lead to more money leaving the country than entering it, which is not great for GDP or development.

The brick and mortar casinos have a monopoly right now, and they're likely to keep that monopoly since they have already sponsored the government.
2132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can POLIS surpass DASH and become nr. 1 in the payment industry? on: April 17, 2020, 09:43:27 PM
Literally every single post you have made on this forum is about POLIS. You are obviously a shill account and nothing more.

Nothing you say should be misconstrued as insightful or valuable, since you are just here to shill your absolute trash alternative to DASH.

The answer to your question is NO.

Any project that needs to shill itself on forums to achieve some semblance of recognition has absolutely no chance of toppling DASH.

2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming new Central Bank Digital Currency on: April 17, 2020, 06:38:50 PM
There is a zero percent chance that any central bank-backed cryptocurrency is going to launch on a blockchain that they don't control, or at least an enterprise blockchain like Hyperledger.

Ethereum is far too slow to be used as the backbone for a fiat-token, so banks will probably build something of their own for this purpose. I expect that it won't be a smart contract capable blockchain either, just a pure masternode or POS based chain.

looks like China will be one of the first to launched their digital yuan, should be interesting to see how it fits in with the growing crypto economy.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: April 17, 2020, 05:34:12 PM
If you have got the bankroll to handle it, and are not aversed to losing large amounts before recouping your money, then the Martingale strategy should eventually return players to parity.

However, most casinos have limits in place which prevents players from doubling up after a certain amount, this is normally known as the bet limit or table limit.

For example, if you have already lost $50,000, but try to bet $100,000 as part of the martingale strategy, then you might come across a block, preventing you from making the bet.

In this case, it would be very difficult to recoup your money back with smaller bets, but it can be done.
2136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: April 17, 2020, 04:26:42 PM
Its been few years already when I won in a small lottery, its a 9 digit number if I remember it right and about $500.

I think im just lucky that time because we are in the mall when I happened to see a small lottery called keno lotto. While waiting for my sister (she go shopping) I decided to buy tickets, the results are every 10 minutes. I didnt expect to win and I consider that day as my lucky day since its not easy to hit the jackpot especially in lottery.

You successfully predicted a nine digit number, and only won $500?

That must have been an incredibly small bet.

Realistically a 9 digit number implies a one in 10 million odds, assuming a 5% house edge you should have made 9.5 million times your wager amount.

Therefore if you won $500, you must have wagered 0.5 cents.
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new cryptocurrency with new economy on: April 17, 2020, 03:14:02 PM
So basically it's an Ethereum clone that does exactly the same things as Ethereum, albeit with a tiny development team, no community and none of the original pioneering figures behind the original Ethereum...

Sounds like a success in the making! /s

Seriously though, why would you even bother calling it Ethereum X? There have been literally dozens of Ethereum forks that have come and failed, can you tell us what makes yours any different?

I can see you already have some miners in your Telegram community. Are you listed on any trading platforms yet?
2138  Economy / Services / Re: [The BItcoin Mixer] Scam or mix delayed? on: April 17, 2020, 02:49:38 PM
Can you tell us roughly how much you sent to the mixer?

It's unlikely that a mixer would make off with your money if it's a low amount, but there have been examples where Bitcoin mixers have exit scammed when a juicy deposit is made.

Pretty sure SmartMixer exit scammed when something like $50,000 was deposited, so the threshold could be a lot lower for an unknown mixer like the one you used.

Next time just use Wasabi wallet.
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 17, 2020, 12:32:26 PM
Quite the opposite.

The vast majority of addicts are online gamblers, rather than brick and mortar players. The accessibility of online gambling obviously makes it far easier to become addicted, since people don't need to travel to their local casino, have no restrictions getting money in or out, and don't have to worry about social stigmas.

Likewise, most online casinos have seen a dramatic uptick in activity, since the coronavirus lockdown has left people with more time on their hands than they know what to do with. Understandably, some of these players turn to online gambling as a pastime, while a small fraction of these will go on to develop an addiction. Similarly, some people who were already addicted could see their addiction worsen due to the aforementioned reasons.

Right after the lockdown ends is the best time to break an addiction actually.
2140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Os EOS on: April 17, 2020, 12:18:24 PM
Very few projects offer rewards in EOS, the blockchain has massively lost its appeal since 2017 since it has proved to be overly complicated to use, since nobody really understands how EOS resources work, like CPU, RAM, and NET.

I'd advise you to stay away from EOS projects for now, the blockchain is on its way down the hole, and will almost certainly take any EOS token projects down with it. There's a reason practically every major EOS dapp has launched on other blockchains like Ethereum and Tron instead. EOS is just overhyped trash.
