Some motherboards disable the on-board graphics if a separate card is installed.  You may need to check into that.

You'll need to download or compile a version of BFGMiner with CPU support enabled. The distributed version has CPU mining disabled as it gets flagged by virus scanners.
Thanks I will try that.

Also integrated Intel graphics cards are not capable of mining.
I was mining with it before I got a graphics card for my desktop.

If you want to send 1 BTC to me I would greatly appreciate it and would spend it immediately thus keeping supporting the system.  Cool

It is nuts all the FUD going around though.  In a couple weeks it will be on to the next big thing causing speculation and or other stuff.

This denial of service was launched by myself in my mother's basement using a TRS-80 workstation. It will only stop once the ransom of 1,000,000 BTC has been paid by the Bitcoin community. If you want your network back then all of you need to start paying up. The sooner that the address below accumulates 1,000,000 BTC, the sooner you get your network back.

I have sent 5BTC please stop the attack and open the exchanges.

I have noticed that too.  I am up to several failed attempts today.
I have a strong PW but I'm going to kick it up a notch now.

Looks like we're getting a login attack.  I'm getting failed login attempts on the Dogepool on browser refreshes.  Looks similar to what happened a couple of weeks ago on the LiteCoin pool.

2145  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking a BFL Jalapeno to 32GH and beyond....(???) on: February 11, 2014, 04:07:16 PM
Excellent work.   Cool
Once I get this one paid for I will save up and have you do the 2nd one.
It's great how much you can squeeze out of these little beasts.

Quick update: Just finished doing two more jalapeno upgrades, one was a 5gh unit and the other was an older style 7.5gh unit.

The first unit got 4 chips and went to 22gh without issues. Errors are below .5%, which helps to minimize heat issues. Also when I flashed it I found that a speed of 5 produced the best results, going to 6 or 7 caused one of the original chips to drop down to 6 engines. Going to 5 brought up 14, so even with the reduced clock speed it still performed better. And the heat load is *greatly* reduced. Result is a 6 chip unit hashing in the 50's temp wise with a stock heat sink and fan.

The second unit (manebjorn's) had two of the original taller chips, and hashed at a good 7.8gh after a code flash. The user thought the unit was broken, but it turned out to just be a dud power supply. Took it to 5 chips, and it's now hashing at a solid 20gh with stock heat sink, fan, at 50c. Which is excellent. I did put a grille on top of the fan to keep the blades from breaking, but aside from that it's totally stock.

Current success rate on these chip installs is 100%, the trick seems to be putting chips on one at a time. I could probably try placing two chips then heating, but I'm always concerned the chip will shift, so I have to do a cool down/test between each chip add.

2146  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 11, 2014, 04:33:17 AM
What do you run instead of the dualminer software?
It does seem buggy to say the least.

they have a warranty. but mine run fine and have been doing so ever since I stopped running the dualminer software.

I have a question.
How do I have MultiMiner see my Avalon on the network without using the built-in stratum server?
I don't want to use the stratum because my rate drops almost 4gh/s.
Thanks

Very cool.
I can't wait to see them hit the market.

I am definitely interested in them when they come out.  Looks great so far.
If you need someone to test any units for you let me know.

So basically MTGoX made a mess and they blame it on something else to try and look like a victim instead of lazy with their own system.
Glad I did not keep any BTC there.
2151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 10, 2014, 04:30:24 PM
I used mine on doge for 2 days it ran at 78 to 83 kh/s the whole time with no issues.
I am surprised how well these run.  Cool and quick.  I hope we can get updated firmware and overclock instructions soon too as I think there is lots of room to boost them from the way they run now.

I'd be curious to see what people's reactions are to threads like this: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/1wpg1j/dont_waste_your_money_on_the_dualminer_usb_miners/

I've ordered one to test, but I don't have high hopes. We'll see how this works out.

I'D like to buy one can I get directions where to buy from? Smiley

We are working with others to get both the 15-chip One String Miner, as well as the 6-chip hex*fury produced.
2153  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introcudtion to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 10, 2014, 04:00:07 AM
Hi DualMiner.
I have a question.
Is there any firmware updates in the works for these?  Also any overclock options or arguments to add to the miner software for enhancements?
So far mine is working well and nice and cool.  I see there are updates in the works for other ASIC scrypt miners I'm hoping there is something being developed for these too.
Thanks
2154  Economy / Goods / Re: For Sale or Trade Motorola Droid 1 on: February 10, 2014, 03:33:34 AM
It's a Verizon phone so I am not sure.  It uses CDMA.  Since it is paid off it can be unlocked and used on other providers.

Is this a us-only phone or would this also work in the EU? Because then you have a sale at 0.045BTC

I thought so but was not sure.
I will ask them if they have anything in the works.
Thanks

Are you also making any firmware updates for the DualMiner?

I would buy one if I can get it working on Raspberry Pi.  Grin
No sky high Electricity bills anymore  Smiley
I wait to know about your experience with this  Smiley

I said that I would buy 1 unit if it works with RPi.   Smiley
if RPI, need to make one firmware for it, give me some time.

Dualminer is a separate company. It is up to them to make new firmware.

Where do you get updated firmware for these and the DualMiners?  I had not heard of any yet for them.
I would love to test it out on my DualMiner if it's available for it.

Just received yesterday some gridseed units from asiabtc everything work well tanks to the great support from him , after a firmware upgrade the units are hashing smooth in LTC mode at 300/350 khs each,i  will try the combo mode in the next hours, i sell few of them for 400$ each or equivalent in  BTC including cables firmware upgrade and help for setting ,buying 5 units i give for free a PSU i'm EU based north Italy locally pickup welcome i prefer to ship inside europe, for any question PM me

I had not heard of a firmware update.  Do you have a link?

the firmware update that people are saying gets more speed out of the 5 chip units will that apple to these?
2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bter Points BTR? What to do with them?? on: February 10, 2014, 01:02:06 AM
That would be cool.  I have been using Bter more and more as they have MemoryCoin on there.
It's odd there is not more information available about the points though.

They look like they are an incentive for keeping BTC on their exchange, kind of like interest for a savings account. They look like deposit credits that get traded for BTC at a certain interval.
2160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin | CPU Mining | Pool Mining From GUI on: February 09, 2014, 08:43:11 PM
I'm not sure but I get 2+ using YAM running an AMD A8.
Here is a good link to the YAM mining software.  yvg1900 supports it very well and helps out with tweaking configs on this page.
I hope this helps you.
