2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 15, 2023, 01:10:38 PM
Do you think centralized exchange not give any good thing to Bitcoin? it ruin the Bitcoin's decentralization, but you need to know centralized exchange is the biggest part of Bitcoin adoption.
You are wrong, centralized exchanges do not ruin bitcoin decentralization.

Most people are using centralized exchange to buy Bitcoin and some people are use it to store their coins, without move it to their non custodial wallet.
People that store their coins on exchanges is doing that because of ignorance. It is stupidity to people that know how stupid it is to store coins on exchanges.

See the recent exchanges that were hacked less than a weeks ago:

South Korean crypto exchange GDAC hacked for nearly $14M
Bitrue exchange hacked for $23 million

Twitter is one of biggest and active social media, Dogecoin price always increase when Elon Musk troll Doge in twitter. Add Bitcoin in twitter will increase adoption regardless it will take an extra fee, centralized etc.
Bitcoin do not need Twitter, the adoption will continue because people have many other social places they can be exposed to bitcoin. Without Twitter, bitcoin adoption will continue. Can you even tell us a way that Twitter or Elon Musk gas helped?
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 15, 2023, 12:48:42 PM
Through a partnership with eToro, a social trading company, Twitter is set to introduce a new feature allowing its users to access a wider range of financial assets, including stocks and cryptocurrencies. The expanded feature will enable users to view market charts and engage in buying and selling activities directly from eToro within the Twitter app.
We have a discussion about this already on this forum: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership

So which one is now fake?

I hope Twitter or any social media will not enable trading directly all because the social media owner is looking for more money and not considering his users. It should be social media, not a place for trading like brokers and exchanges.
2143  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Mining Mentor on: April 15, 2023, 11:40:53 AM
I will advice you to disregard PMs, most people are only ready to scam you.

The best mentor would be yourself, there are many articles and videos that you can watch.

What you have know is the miners (ASIC) you want to use, you want a rig or mining farm. Know the amount of VA (watt) that the miners would be using per certain period of time. Calculate the electricity in watt that you will use per that certain period of time if you are operating the miners.

Know the cost of each miners.

Get a mining profitability calculator online and check the amount of hash rate that you can generate to get certain amount of bitcoin at certain period of time after paying the money required as fee by the mining pool because every mining pool has certain fee they do deduct from each reward that they want to give to their miners for the hash rate they are going contributing.

Get youself the best miners.

This may be little that I have said already, go online and study about mining yourself to know if mining bitcoin is for you or not.
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is Speculation & Gambling" - Warren Buffett Critisize on: April 14, 2023, 09:36:24 PM
How would you respond to Warren Buffett's anti-Bitcoin comments?
We have known Warren Buffett to be a bitcoin critic, it is no more new, but bitcoin price has increased significantly since I have known that Warren Buffett is a bitcoin critic. I knew about bitcoin when its price was $7000 to $8000. I knew Buffet to be bitcoin critic at the time too, but bitcoin adoption is reality.

Warren Buffett is getting old, he believes in what he does when he was young and successful.
2145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is back testing in trading and how we do it ? on: April 14, 2023, 08:01:25 PM
Assuming you have a trading plan already, which can be based on your trading period, net profit target, stop loss target, intended entry price and and many like that, depending on you as a trader as we all as a trader may have more plans and strategies which we are using to trade. After having your trading plan and strategy, you can go through historical data and other things that can make you see how your trading plan would be more successful or not, if analysing your plan and strategy to go successful, then making you to have more confidence to follow your trading plan and strategy to trade or open a position.

2147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: April 14, 2023, 10:18:01 AM
It depends on what kind of trading you want. If you are a typical day or futures trader then technical analysis is preferred to master.
Scalping is having shorter durations for opening and closing positios than day trading. With scalping, you only need some seconds to some minutes to open and close position. It requires technical analysis too.

Swing trading is what we can consider as long term trading in which you can open a position for days up to a week or more. Swing trading also requires technical analysis too unless the market drop significantly to the point that you know that if you open a position, you will be favoured as the market go just in your direction taken of your opened a position.

If you do not want technical analysis, just invest. But investors still make some simple technical analyses.
Which only means the person is not a professional trader. Some people can consider themselves as a professional traders until they learn more to know that they know nothing before. You now what ignorance is.

There are also professional traders who don't even use technical at all because of the longer trading period and reduced psychic effects. To use fundamental analysis is sometimes more complex, which must follow the important economic calendar in the world.
You probably means investors, not traders. Some investors even still check the chart before investing. Good traders can not do without technical analysis.

Twitter seemingly to be gearing towards being some sort of super app. Very interesting development compared to what eToro did.

eToro: investing/trading app that added a social media aspect
Twitter: a social media app that added investing/trading

Twitter in itself right now is pretty buggy though — not sure if implementing investing/trading is the best move to make right now.

Can't wait for Twitter to get regulated by the SEC! (just kidding).

No seriously. What the hell is this. When all the advertisers and news reporters and normal people leave Twitter for other platforms, the only people left using the super-app will be Elon enthusiasts and Dogecoin bros.

Twitter is centralized before, but getting very worse now. I see Twitter formal CEO Jack Patrick Dorsey to be better, not a man that manipulate, saying Twitter is already accepting bitcoin, but later said bitcoin is no longer accepted for payment to buy Tesla, later said the coin that would be accepted will only be consuming less than 1% of the energy bitcoin is consuming. Later did what we expected as he accepted doge. I still do not see alternative social media that crypto people are using as news are directing us to tweets, I hope there is a better and less centralized or decentralized one in the future. Now it is said that Twitter is patterning with eToro. Let us see what Elon Musk would later turn Twitter to.

Gambling sites that are advertising through matchs on the football player jerseys are wrong. It is very wrong because kids and under 18s are watching the matches. The best places for such advertisments should be where adults are the ones capable most of visiting, such as this site, Bitcointalk.

It is said that gambling ads would be removed from the front of players shirt, maybe this would mean another thing in a way they can advertise it through another method, but such ads are not good. The gambling sites should come to forums, like Bitcointalk for advertising, not where kids will be watching them.

eToro: investing/trading app that added a social media aspect

Elon Musk is only looking for ways to make more money and not thinking about Twitter users. I wonder if anyone on Twitter will not want to try to trade and start losing money, I hope they will know that trading is not for everyone.
2152  Economy / Exchanges / Re: XGO on: April 13, 2023, 11:13:54 AM
If you do not like Binance or you need alternative, there are many other reputable exchanges.

https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges

What is most important is to not be holding coins on exchanges. But if you need a no KYC exchange, Kucoin or OKX are good, but I prefer Kucoin.
2153  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asking me for KYC although their site explicitly states no KYC on: April 13, 2023, 08:04:06 AM
A gambling site can state that you do not need to provide KYC before you can withdraw, but know that it would also be stated that they can ask for KYC at anytime. Those gamblings sites are centralized, because they do not require KYC for withdraw do not mean they can not request for KYC at anytime.

It requires KYC.

2154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: April 13, 2023, 05:22:17 AM
P.S I have really poor knowledge on bitcoin technicalities, am more of the chart reading and gut feeling type. so I hope am not breaking any of the rules posting here.
Was really curious to understand if technical analysis is vital or just a means to reduce risk. Thanks in advance
You know how to read chart? That means you are a forex, commodity or stock trade. Those deals with price of something. Crypto also deals with price of something which are cryptocurrencies. If you use chart for those, you will also use chart for crypto analyses. But I will advice you not to go beyond bitcoin for now. Learn bitcoin price history and use the charts and indicators reading of forex for bitcoin technical analysis too. Fundamental and sentiment is also in crypto. Take note of that.

However, personally I feel only technical analysis is not enough for your trading. You must learn about fundamental analysis too. Because without good fundamentals, you will put your money at risk. If an asset has good fundamentals, even if your technical analysis is wrong, you can hold it (like Bitcoin) and still have chance to get profit  by holding your bitcoin long enough to cover your mistake in technical analysis.
Fundamental analysis is very important, but it is not about people learning it like technical analysis, it is more about reading news, known how CPI and interest rate can affect the price of bitcoin and crypto in short term, relating exchange inflow and outflow of a coin on exchanges to possible price drop or increase, and also knowing if miners and investors are accumulating or not etc.

Welcome to the forum. I think technical analysis can be a useful tool for traders to make decisions, but it's not necessarily a must-know for crypto trading.
A trader that do not know technical analysis is like a car that is travelling that has not break and accelerator.
2155  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance blocked my account - login temporarily disabled on: April 12, 2023, 09:39:42 PM
Can you give us a good evidence of the reason your account was banned? Like screenshot of the message they sent you? They would state the reason why your account is banned or disabled.

The only problem I have faced like this with Binance before was because I do use VPN and I mistakenly left it on while connecting with Binance. After many VPN use in which the address was set to United States an opening Binance app with it, they asked me for address. I was happy I could give an address of a place I have left many years ago in a way it can not even be traced to me because it was someone I knew that was living there and he is also  no more living there again. That was the issue and the issue was solved.

wrote to support and they finally said wait 30 days, we'll see what happened.
Are you telling the truth? How did you wrote to support? It has been long that people can not contact Binance through email, or am I getting it wrong? What I know is that you can only meet their support team through social media like on Twitter. But it is better you make use of their live chat. Did you make use of their live chat? There would be bot that would be answering your question but if your case is not solved it would ask if he should transfer you to one of their customer care.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 12, 2023, 07:47:09 PM
1. always set a budget for playing slots and stick to it. do not chase losses or try to win back what you have lost by playing more.
This is the most important, using very low amount of money that you can afford to lose, like less than 2 to 5% of your weekly income to gamble weekly.

The most vulnerable time a gambler can have is when the gambler is chasing losses. This is the period a gambler is vulnerable to spend almost all or all the money he has to gambling and it is the time of having poor mindset towards gambling.
2157  Economy / Speculation / Re: FTX recovered $7.3B in Assets and is considering restarting! on: April 12, 2023, 06:49:09 PM
So they first fuck their users and then they expect people to go back using their services as if nothing happened? That category of swallowing these non senses is blocked in the crypto community.
It would be under new management. It is even under new management since many weeks or months ago which was some few weeks after the exchange collapsed. If they are back, remaining exchanges are just like them. You should just trade and withdraw your coins, that is what exchanges should be used for.
2158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't encourage multiple trading! on: April 12, 2023, 06:40:37 PM
My friend loves opening different trades at a time, most at times is difficult for him to control what's should be. Trading on free chart with multiple opening can be very dangerous. Yesterday he experience unusual hit when bitcoin price drops again, four trades loss at once when the market go against him. Personally I don't advise multiple trade especially when you're not familiar with trade
What if your friend only trade one coin and the coin against the direction taken and the loss is significant? Trading multiple coins is not the problem, the problem is to know the direction the coins are going because if one coin is falling, other coins are most likely falling too. I also thought trading just a single currency is the best before, until I traded multiple coins that go towards my direction.

Tell your friend to learn risk management and also use a better strategy to minimize losses. It is good not to use leverage while trading, especially while trading altcoins.
2159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the support zone ? on: April 12, 2023, 04:42:05 PM
Check the link that BitMaxz give above, it would help you.

There is nothing hard about support zone, it is just a price that a coin is not going further below, even if the coin slightly go below the price, it would rise back not long. Example is when bitcoin has been around $28000 recently which shows a very strong support at that level.

The opposite is the resistant zone.
2160  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: I Need a Bitcointalk rank account on: April 12, 2023, 12:34:22 PM
Hello Everyone,
I need a Bitcointalk rank account (up to full member) urgently. Who can help me to buy? Also looking for a trusted escrow person. I will pay him for escrow taking..

Please Knock me to my Telegram accounts https://t.me/devi440

Before you should consider buying a Bitcointalk ranked account, it would be better for you to read this: Sales of bitcointalk account must be discouraged

Or let me make it easy for you, read this:

1. Not supported by bitcointalk admin
There has been thread before about bitcointalk forum to be selling ranked accounts in the past, but according to theymos it will not happen.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4419950.msg39398356#msg39398356

Bitcointalk is not in support of account sales, then why want to buy one underground because people that boldly want to sell account here if noticed will be tagged red which to me if proper.

2. Hacked accounts can be sold
There are in history of this forum some members account are hacked and taken control over by the hackers, the hackers will not think twice in many cases to sell the account as be sold. The person that bought the account will happily make his first post while the account owner will report that his account has been compromised. If he signed staked address he will be given back the account thereby leading to the buyers to lost money.

3. Other fraudulent activities
The above is just a single fraud reason while there are still many other fraudulent reason s account can be bought, it can be bought by scammers to make people to trust the account and be used against good members on the forum. This type of scam can range from using the account to borrow bitcoin, do escrow service and take the bitcoin and exit to anything you can possibly think of scammers can achieved through that. This is the main reason I even hate sales of account. And the reason I proposed official seeling of account by admin which can possibly lead people selling account underground not to be able to again.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5310026.0

But this led to downturn because of some good reasons provided by some good members.

4. New members not knowing about the forum at all
Newbies do not know about the forum at all, all they know if what they read online that bitcointalk signature can be used to earn up to 0.0003 btc per post like I read it online in 2020. From the same site you I read that a member can have up to 10 accounts, that you can buy account at a cost of $500 for legendary, $400 for hero and $300 for Sr member, though I do not fully remember the amount but appropriately correct. All these are lies, the merit system do not make it easy to have two accounts because building two accounts is difficult.

5. Bought accounts can be banned and most likely will be banned
I was wondering before why legendary account and hero accounts are banned, later I noticed some can be bought accounts, newbies do not know about the forum, bought ranked membership account and was banned because he violate the forum rules which likely to occur to newbies, this is likely common the reason you should pass through the newbie period by opening newbie account for good.

6. Thinking they will buy account and join signature campaign quickly
Newbies know nothing about this forum, all they think is that they will buy account and join signature campaign immediately, not knowing all signature campaigns have one same rule, that a member to participate he must have at least 5 merits received in the last 120 days, but to get the merit will be difficult for newbies that bought account. Also that is just the rule, you will see campaign managers only taking people that have more than 50 to 100 merits while leaving the rest because slot are very limited, then when will you get up to that merits. Psychologically thinking, account sellers even leave no smerits at all and the account do not have single merit in the last 120 days.

If you like you can buy Bitcointalk account, but it is better to build your account yourself. In the process of building your account, you are truly becoming higher rank member unlike if you buy an account. I hope you will read that quote or click on the link to go to the main thread and see the topic in full. If you read it and understand it, you will see the danger in buying ranked account.
