2141  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Stake.com DIAMOND 4 account for sale on: November 11, 2022, 06:32:52 AM
Just take note of this guys....

There was a major breach of the Stake.com email service and the hacker used Stake's email server to send out a mass phishing attempt to almost everyone that signed up for Stake.com

This happened just a few days ago ....and if you look at the Chat sessions... loads of people fell for this phishing scam. A friend of mine clicked on the link and he almost lost his account.... luckily he picked up that it was a scam, so he quickly notified Support and they changed his login details and he got it back.

A lot of "hacked" accounts might go up for Sale now, so just be careful. Most of these accounts are linked to verified users... so if they provide their documents, they might get their accounts back ...and you will be locked out of the account, if you bought it.

I am not saying this is one of those accounts, but just take caution ...if you are considering buying this account. It might be a legit account, but it is still against Stake's ToS to buy and sell accounts.  Roll Eyes
2142  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: November 11, 2022, 06:20:49 AM
Property investments can be less profitable than most people think....

You have to subtract several hidden cost from the profit that you make, when you sell the property, namely :

1. Interest on the home loan
2. Interest that you would have gained, if you invested the loan payments
3. Maintenance cost on the property that you bought
4. Home improvement costs
5. Transfer costs and Sales Agent commission and admin fees
6. Insurance payment on the property

So, yes... it is a forced saving... but it is also a forced expense, because you have to pay for a lot of things... before you can make a profit in the future.  Roll Eyes
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin survived a lot more than one Exchange going bankrupt - Remember that on: November 11, 2022, 05:34:56 AM
I see people (mostly new speculators) panic, with the sudden drop in the Bitcoin price ...and all of that started with the FTX Exchange problems, but I want to remind people that we have faced much bigger problems before...and that we will go through this bump ...like we did with all the previous things that we faced before.

Examples :

~ Mt Gox
~ Silkroad
~ ICO Scams
~ China banning Bitcoin mining
~ Social media platforms banning Crypto advertising
~ Several Fork Wars (Craig Wright / Roger Ver.....)
~ Famous people bashing Bitcoin on Social media
~ Several failed Ponzi Schemes that used Bitcoin as a payment system (Bitconnect)
~ BitLicense
~ Bitfinex got hacked
~ Bitfines bank accounts were shut down
~ Binance was hacked
~ Bittrex scammed its users by shutting accounts of thousands of users.

Feel free to add more examples of things that happened that would have ended any other project, but where Bitcoin survived. We are still going strong, no matter how many challenges are thrown in our path.

Just Hodl on Bitcoin warriors .... and stay positive, things will turn around again.  Wink

Ps : Edited to add examples provided by users.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $128,000 and it's been a week waiting for game provider verification on: November 10, 2022, 07:42:16 AM
Some of the smaller casinos does not have a huge bankroll, so they might have a bit of liquidity problem... when people hit big jackpots. This is possibly why they honored your smaller wins and why they are offering up excuses to not payout the bigger win.

I will meet them half way, if they are honest with me... and I will take 6 smaller payments ... if they are having liquidity problems. That way you get some of your winnings and it gives them time to acquire the balance. (Just talk to them and have a open discussion)

I hope you get your winnings and that you can keep good relations with them... because they have paid you before.  Wink
2145  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: November 10, 2022, 07:16:36 AM
We will see a lot of "Gov" coins in the future, but it will all be private. You will not have a token that will be backed by public miners and public open source developers. The Banks will hire their own developers and they will develop something that can be 100% controlled by them.

They will be able to change the coin cap on demand and they will also mine all the coins or have control over the internal database. It will adhere 100% to all KYC requirements and regulations and it will be a copy of Fiat cash, but just in a digital form.

Look towards R3 and it's distributed ledger developments for the solutions that Banks will use for this.  Roll Eyes
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman-Fried the "savior" and his ideas on: November 10, 2022, 07:03:48 AM
Sam Bankman-Fried should never have climbed into bed with Binance, because they are supposedly running a very shady operation. The moment when Binance are going to be put under scrutiny from the regulators, things are going to start to fall apart very quickly.  Roll Eyes

Binance saw an opportunity to throw FTX Exchange under the bus and they went for it, by simply pulling their rescue deal at 99.... this effectively sealed FTX's fate. (One action ...eliminated a competitor for Binance....and send the Crypto market into a panic)  Angry Angry Angry
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Falls To Sub-$17,000 After the FTX Exchange Demise on: November 10, 2022, 06:44:58 AM
Changpeng Zhao (Binance) strategically pulled the carpet out under FTX Exchange to eliminate one of it's competitors... and there is nothing more to it.  Roll Eyes

I have seen this move several times before, where big companies buy into the smaller startups and then suddenly dump a lot of their shares or in this case "tokens" to cause panic.... then they offer to rescue to stop other people from doing it... en then at the last moment... pull out on the deal.

We should blame Changpeng Zhao (Binance) more for this disaster..... not just FTX Exchange.  Angry Angry Angry
2148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slotman.com - Online Casino - Fast Withdrawals - 1000+ Games - Exclusive Bonus on: November 09, 2022, 06:19:00 AM
I see the image you posted is linked to heroicaffiliatesmedia.com and not directly to Slotman.com, so I just want to know if you are just an affiliate member that are gathering referrals or are you actually someone working for Slotman.com support?

The latest inactivity on the forum is also a problem, so I reckon this casino is just a fly-by-night operation and not a professional business. The red flags are showing.. so be careful with this one..... let's have a close look at it for the future.  Roll Eyes
2149  Economy / Economics / Re: Majority of Americans Back New Stimulus Checks To Combat Inflation on: November 09, 2022, 06:04:37 AM
I disagree...

It would have been money better spend, if they used it to train better skilled employees and also to fund startup companies to create more jobs. They are in that situation, because millions of people lost their jobs during the Covid pandemic and then the WAR between the Ukraine and Russia disrupted Oil production and Oil prices around the world.

The printing of more money and the stimulus efforts are mostly wasted on people with bad spending habits. "Give someone a fish and you feed him for a day... but show someone how to fish and you feed him for life."  Wink
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Does Gambling/Casino Ads Help An Addicted Gambler Who Wants To Stop Gambling on: November 09, 2022, 05:54:26 AM
There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop the exposure to gambling advertisements, if you live in a country where it is legal. In my country gambling are legal and we are bombarded by TV and Radio advertisements to market gambling.

The best thing you can do, if you have a problem with gambling... could be to look away and to mute the TV when the advertisement comes on. (self-discipline) - If you really wants to stop, you should not shift the blame for your addiction, but you should tackle it head on.  Wink

Twitch was the best, but we know they banned Eddie (Stake) and they are also banning most gambling related streamers, so we should stick with the platform that worked, namely Dlive!  Wink
I just found out about this Twitch has banned some streamers especially in the Gambling game category. That's why I see some Gambling Streamers are no longer live on Twitch and they have switched to other streaming platforms. However it's just a matter of popularity using the DLive platform nor is it bad at all.

No it is a good thing when centralized platforms like Twitch make bad decisions like this, because it gives platforms like DLive an opportunity to grow and to break the monopoly that existed, with Twitch that are dominating the "streaming" scene.  Roll Eyes

The problem come in when platforms like DLive are not scaling their operation to match the influx of new streamers and viewers and the migrating audience gets a bad first impression. (We can already see how DLive is suffering with Eddie's shift to DLive on Saturdays)

They should really sort out their monetary system too... the "Lemon" thing, should be replaced by Crypto currencies.  Wink
2152  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: November 08, 2022, 06:36:04 AM
The title op this thread should have been ==> "Do your own work" ..because that is what you are implying. The problem is... most employers have a protection clause in their employment contract with their employees to protect their business from people leaving and starting a competitive business with the knowledge and skills that they acquired at their previous employer. (usually a geographical restriction)

Everyone should have a backup plan and a balanced financial portfolio, where you have a mix between low / medium / high risk investments. Bitcoin is a high risk investment, because it is still experimental and you should consider investing smaller amounts in it, if you are middle aged or older..... but young people can risk more.  Wink
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 08, 2022, 06:24:43 AM
One of my best friends showed his wife how he plays "Crash" on Stake.com... and she thought it was "virtual" monopoly money, so she had a try.... she bet $1000 and when it reached 6x ....she showed her husband, he freaked out... grabbed the phone and pressed "cashout" on 17x .....giving him a win of more than $16 000!

I think he would have been pissed off, if it was the other way around... if she lost a few $1000 bets in a row. I am glad for them, because they needed that financial boost.  Grin Grin Grin

There are definitely pressure from third parties to "remove" content that might disrupt the "Puppet Masters" agenda to rule the financial system. Here is a technology that are accepted as a currency in many countries... and you tell me that it is not noticeable?

It just shows you how much power these centralized platforms are having and how they want to shape the thoughts of people around the world. It is time for the "people" to rise up and to throw it in their face, so that it gets noticeable in the mainstream media.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
2155  Other / Archival / Re: I don't want to buy cheap bitcoins, I want to buy expensive ones on: November 08, 2022, 05:25:58 AM
This is the sad reality of the thinking trend with the majority of people.... they do not want to buy when the prices are low, because they think it is collapsing. The Bitcoin price has bottomed out for many months around $20 000 ...so people should have realized now that it possibly the best time to buy now.

They wait until it has significantly recovered and when the media starts to notice... then suddenly people jump in and buy at a much higher price. (making almost zero profits or even losing some money.. when it drops again)  Roll Eyes
2156  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: Santander UK bank puts limits to buy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. on: November 07, 2022, 06:52:21 AM
No, OP.... there are no justification for their actions, because this is pure anti-competitive behavior and the protection of their monopoly. They do not want capital to be withdrawn from their corrupt service, because they use that capital to earn profits for their business. (They loan your deposits to other people at high interest and then they give you a VERY small percentage of that in interest)

That is why we encourage people to be their own Bank, because centralized service abuse their power with your money. (telling you what you can do with your money)  Roll Eyes
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your winnings lured someone into gambling ? on: November 07, 2022, 06:43:32 AM
Yes, as a matter of fact I won big and other people wanted to share in the action...so we (5+ people) created a small WhatsApp group to combine efforts to find strategies to win. We also share winnings amongst each other when you win something big, by tipping the other members of the group.

The group are based on honesty and also on paying it forward when you win. Most individual persons lose money on gambling, but a group effort soften the losses for every member, when you share your wins.  Wink

Eddie's Stream on Saturday was a bit of a shit show.... with people struggling to signup for the "Kick" streaming service on short notice. "Kick" could not handle the huge influx on new signups and their email verification system almost collapsed.  Roll Eyes

I had 40+ people who tried to signup for "Kick" and 90% of them failed. When some of them eventually signed in, the video feed lagged so much, they could hardly hear and see anything.... and most of them had no video.

There is nothing wrong with Eddie trying something new, but they should give advanced notice when they are changing to a new platform, so that people can prepare for the change. Well, Stake benefited from this.... because loads of people could not claim the drops....at the end.. only 1200 people were connected to the Stream.  Roll Eyes
I agree but Kick is nice platform for the purpose. Maybe other streams will be forwarded to Kick, who knows? :!

I disagree.... DLive are much better, because it can handle a lot more traffic than Kick. We have had several successful streaming sessions on DLive with Eddie with 5000+ viewers and Kick struggled with 2000+ viewers. (When the connection dropped and people refreshed their browsers, they could not get back in on the stream with Eddie)  Roll Eyes

2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why i believe in bitcoin!! An amateur's outlook. on: November 07, 2022, 06:29:21 AM
I have been around since the Bitcoin price was just over $300.... and I can tell you from experience that Bitcoin can surprise you, when you least expect it. Bitcoin has seen several huge price fluctuations, where it dropped with 70%+ and then it recovered with more than 200%....so volatility can be extreme.

So, if you just look back at the price history of Bitcoin, you will have a reason to be positive and optimistic about it's future. Stay strong and Hodl like crazy.  Wink
