2141  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: localbitcoins.com SCAM Alert Scam! Scammers: Avelina Tumas, Fiona Gliga, Marina on: November 09, 2022, 10:54:07 AM
Localbitcoins is scam, Whre are those people located? What is their residential addresses of these individuals?
As far as I know they are legally registered business (speaking from my memory). If they are registered then complain officially assuming the amount of the money is large enough to invest the time. I do not think anyone on the forum can help you at all. Talk to a professional lawyer and seek advice from them.
2142  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: November 09, 2022, 10:32:26 AM
Has Stake been hacked? I received what looks to be a valid email from noreply@stake.com (email headers match - it's not simple spoofing), with the subject "Stake: Welcome to the new VIP program!" and a body offering more bonuses. Clicking the link, I get redirected to http://sso-stake.com, which is currently offline and definitely doesn't look like an official Stake domain. The domain was just registered today going off of whois records, so I suspect whatever platform Stake uses for email marketing might have been hacked and used for a phishing campaign.
I don't understand the bold font text I marked but if you give me a random email address to send you an email with a test email address to receive the email, I can send you an email from the random email account. 😉

With a php/html form anyone can do it easily. The other possibility could be, it indeed a new domain bought by stake to use for their newsletter. Either way, Stake team can confirm it as it has been noticed.

What happened to the ultimatum? Did not work, yeah? My man Theymos is a silent killer and you are his victim 😂
I am just curious, what did you do to him? I mean you must have done something that made him upset and now you are suffering for it 😉
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: November 09, 2022, 09:59:44 AM
Are you famLFC? The last two rounds have been really good for you, moving from 19th to 17th on the 5th round and to 6th after the 6th round is a good result. After the break, things would become a little more difficult.
Correct, that's me. It was nice few rounds. I never had a yellow cap but average scoring for few rounds also not bad. On average it helps to have a good position. I had one very bad round and one was not that bad - not that good.

I think whatever all of us do, KTChampions is far away from all of us. I would not surprise if he win the pool.
2145  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit.com scamming $10,000 USD [Careful not to bet in their casino!] on: November 09, 2022, 09:53:49 AM
I am looking at their FAQ and the part you mentioned about alt-accounts. Yes, they do allow it, but you are forgetting the most important part of that rule. You can use alt accounts as long as you have not created another account for nefarious purposes.
https://rollbit.com/faq
And that's where it's not clear. How would they are going to define nefarious purposes. It can work for both side. Advantage for a casino to abuse if the case of the OP is real. On the other hand, users will abuse too. Besides, I don't like the fact they said he was depositing to give the money back (That's what I think abuse from the casino side).

Quote
If your first account got limited, and you aren't allowed to place bets above a certain threshold, creating multiple accounts to avoid this restriction can be seen as a "nefarious purpose".If your betting limit is $1.000/day or per match, that doesn't give you the right to create 4 more accounts, so that you can wager a total of $5.000, for example. It might sound harsh, but that's the way they are going to look at it. You are abusing the limits placed on you as an individual.
If all looks correct then why would a user will create more than one account at all?
2146  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: November 09, 2022, 09:37:38 AM
It will be even better if you give a date/month for their latest post to be accepted them for the votes.

I addressed that part here. So by active users we understand users which were and / or are active during current year (and, of course, made notable contributions during this year).

How do you define active user? Only by "Last Active: " column on profile page?
I will suggest last post the made.

For example last post made before November 2021, receive any vote, will not be counted. Also after the launch of the award pool if the same criteria of the user makes any post then that will not include them as whitelisted too. I think this will prevent them to abuse the rule.
2147  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: November 08, 2022, 02:29:23 PM
1. Votes for inactive users will not be taken into consideration anymore. The event is related to the activity made by users during current year and not for the past. As a consequence, votes for users like Satoshi, Lauda etc. (with all due respect for all good things they did in the past) will not be counted. Of course, this does not mean that a user's vote will be entirely not counted, if he nominates an inactive user. Only the vote for the inactive user is not counted.

As a sum-up: if a user makes nominations of both active users and inactive ones, only the mentions of inactive ones will be not counted (in the contest's final results there will be no Satoshi, no Lauda etc.).
It will be even better if you give a date/month for their latest post to be accepted them for the votes.

We were also curious about how users feel about implementing a rule which would give chances to more people to win. What we were thinking about is the following: to arrange things thus the winner of a category cannot be the same person from previous contests. Or he can be, as this does not mean a ban -- but he can be with more efforts. To be more precise, all previous winners could start with a coefficient of 0.8. Attention! -- this happens only regarding the previously won category!

For example: Alice won last year in the ScamBuster category.

- For other categories, her vote strength is 1.
- For the ScamBuster category, the power of the votes given for it is 0.8.

If even with this 0.8 vote strength Alice is still this year's winner of ScamBuster category, then she will be declared winner again, no matter what.

This rule, if it'll be adopted, may add some variety. Please let us know your opinions.
My opinion is not to limit it. Let others to beat him and be better than him. Limiting means you are going to reward someone who might done less than him but still receiving the honour that was supposed to not for him.

I'm amazed you were able to find an orange that had the proper color #F7941D and to carve the "B" with an exact 13.88...° rotation per the specification.

colour:  http://vu.hn/bitcoin-symbol-and-logo-origin.html#why-an-orange-circle see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safety_orange
 angle:  http://vu.hn/bitcoin-symbol-and-logo-origin.html#why-rotate-the-b-shape-by-14-degrees-on-the-logo

 Excellent work!

It just happned bother. The orange was orange enough 🤣
But I was aware of the angle. So I wanted to achieve as close as I could.
I am glad when some of us will eat orange or drink orange juice we will have bitcoin in mind. You were awesome putting that together on the hat with Bart even the signature. Thanks a lot.
I owe you 50 merit and going to save until I have 50 smerits 😉

It's very difficult to predict something when now it's not even middle of November and games will be played in the end of February. So many things can happen until it, especially when we have Wolrd Cup.
I checked yesterday on superbru, they have not listed the matches yet so even if you want, you can not make a pick until they list it. But you are right, it's a long time and after world cup many things will change. Players will pick up injury, bad performance including so many factors.

Personally I am surprised to see myself 6th position on the pool LOL
Someone please confirm it's not me 🤣

1. Traditional world cup pool 0.2 BTC (4.3k$)of sponsored money for rewards + all the fees run by hilariousandco and jeremypwr
I am going to in on hilariousandco's pool but sadly the rest two are not for me 🤣
Can we see England to take the world cup?
Thanks for posting it, I would miss it for sure if you haven't.

Let's hope Tottenham vs Liverpool bring us some joy
I got double joy from the match LOL
Exact score, three full points, Liverpool to get 3 full points.

I did not mind when Kane scored but it was also stressing that anytime we could concede another goal and lose two points.
2152  Economy / Reputation / Re: JollyGood and his devaluing attitude on: November 08, 2022, 01:49:12 PM
It is no wonder though since most of the "Lengendary" and "Hero" members here have very low value, both moral and monetary, and it would be justified for one of the few good members here like JollyGood to point it out. Unless the OP wants to believe that being of "low value" does not exist and thus no one should be "devalued".
Do you really think you are in a position to lecture value and devalue? In all your forum life you are spreading rumors and supporting rumors that makes you happy to underestimate reputable forum members. JollyGood is just a wanna be reputable forum member who in my opinion is a sadist. He feels good when he insults others. He takes it a pleasure in seeing others are suffering.
2153  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit.com scamming $10,000 USD [Careful not to bet in their sportsbook!] on: November 08, 2022, 01:26:42 PM
3 Days ago, I created another account and deposited 10.000$ in bitcoin (which for me is a big amount). When I wanted to place a bet, I noticed that my account had been already limited. I couldn't wager a single dollar on anything. Obviously, I went to withdraw it all. However, due to the AML laws, you have to wager your deposits at least once, so they declined my withdrawal (which is fine and honest of course). After waiting for a day or two, I asked them what was going on and why the AML investigation was taking so long. They just ignored me. I even offered that I can just wager the whole amount through in slots just so I can get at least some of my money back (which they, of course, ignored).
The whole process took them until today.
The easy solution is to send the remaining balance (since you are limited) to the address that the coin came from. Have you used a noncustodial wallet?

Quote
We appreciate you depositing some of the funds back
I am calling it nonsense.
From the description above even from the commonsense, when the user deposited, he did not deposit to intend to give the fund back. Saying it appreciating for fund back is just a lie.

It would be nice to hear from Rollbit representative before you move further. Like leaving a negative tag or even creating a flag.
2154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be aware of scammers on: November 08, 2022, 01:18:46 PM
So in your website, have this term that one has to own their private key of the wallet they will use to send you payment (their wallet has to be a noncustodial wallet). Make it noticeable for all the clients and have clear FAQ for it.
Bitcoin gives you full control of your money, but that's optional and shouldn't be forced on those who don' want it. Using non-custodial wallets is the way to go, but we all know that many people still rely on exchanges and custodial services to store their coins and keys. Asking a business to force people to use Bitcoin the right way won't get you the results you want. They will just take their business elsewhere where there are no such demands. Canaan will, therefore, only be at a loss here. Recommending and suggesting the best practices is better.

The company needs to be able to identify each customer based on the information they provided to their team. It's your job to keep your sensitive info safe. Since we are talking about physical goods, the company has logs of who ordered it, names, addresses, payment methods, emails, etc. If someone requires a refund to a different crypto address than the one on file, Canaan should be able to check and identify if they are in fact speaking with the right person. If the real owner was hacked and had his identity stolen, it can become troublesome. But for that, they can only blame themselves and not the company.

Well, it takes time to find a perfect solution.
1. If we insist on returning back to the original wallet, it may avoid these scammers who pretend to be customers, but there are some users who pay through Binance... then it's not friendly to them.
2. If we agree to refund to any wallet offered by our customers, it may be more convenient for scammers too. That's why we asked for the order page to double-confirm the identity.
We do appreciate all your suggestion and ideas and we will try our best to improve...
With crypto it's always not straight forward. Have the strict rules of sending from a noncustodial wallet but obviously you will have cases where people do not read the terms (most of the time no one read the terms LOL), in exceptional cases you can ask for screenshot of their transaction page, tell them to send a small amount from the same account and ask them to send the history page screenshot again. Even if you need, do a KYC which will include seeing them on Skype with their documents.

All these will reduce the chances for you to avoid the scammers who will come with a false claim.

No doubt, you have done well in the last case.

I saw your late entry to Pumpkin Contest, and it’s a nice addition to your hat btw.

I’m sure selection of “orange” with engraved BTC have connection with Bitcoin and orange logo.
When I was crafting I did not have the connection in mind until another user made a comment about it on the contest page. Yeah, I did not bother to join the contest. That's why I was not in such a hurry to post it. I took my time and crafted it slowly. In fact it took me 3 days to complete and total working hour could be more or less 2 hours LOL

Absolutely amazed to see the movement for bitcoin in there. That's what we need for bitcoin adoption. Those mobile currency apps in the countries can be easily replaced if projects like Pouch.ph give access it for root level people. It will obviously avoid the transaction confirmation delay.

This photo was originally taken from my sister's iPhone.
It looks like one of those credit shops. Whatever it is, it looks nice to see the logo in local areas. We need more of them all over the world.

Arsenal and Chelsea still without much fire, goalless
I had a 1 - 1 draw but before the match starts I changed it to 1 - 2 for Arsenal. After more 40 minutes, we will know if it was a stupid idea of changing it from 1 - 1 LOL
Come on Arsenal show some fire 😂
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Croatian League - Hrvatska nogometna liga 2022./2023. on: November 06, 2022, 01:07:28 PM
Lokomotiva is basically a second squad from Dinamo Smiley And they were quite ok in the last few seasons but this season they suck big time. Maybe you heard it even from me here on the forum, there was a time I was sharing tips from our league and Lokomotiva is one of my favorite both to score teams in the past and they were almost auto include on my tickets.
The name Lokomotiva or Lokomotiv is a regular occurrence in Eastern Europe. I think you might be thinking of a different club from a different country. Some popular examples include Lokomotiv Moscow or Lokomotiv Sofia. Ice hockey clubs also use the name (Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Lokomotiv Moscow). Here is just one list with some examples of everything that is out there.
I really don't watch other football leagues like Serie A, LaLiga, Bundesliga or any other leagues. The only league I am too close is Premium league. But long time ago when I was heavily in sports betting, I used to bet almost in all teams and matches without checking league, recent performance or even sports type. May be Trofo and Pmalek is right too but anyway, somehow the name was in my mind LOL
