After investigating, this OP is a real scammer(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419019) he used at least 3 Telegram accounts at the same time. 2 fake admin roles to scam our real customers, and 1 fake customer role to contact us. We got all the chat history from our real customers till now.
1. Canaan online shop admins never scam customers, we are here to support real customers.
2. Scammers always change their fake IDs and use different names to scam real customers.
3. Never trust rumors from mad scammers. The wise man knows he knows nothing, the fool thinks he knows all.
4. If you have any questions or doubts about our Avalon miners or orders, never trust anyone who PM you first in our Telegram group, please contact our admins or send an Email to customerservice@canaan.io
5. If you have placed an order from our online shop, never share any order information with someone else, our admins never request your order page because we already have it:)
6. About the refund rule, please understand we are a listed company, and every process should be legit and with receipts, it may take some time. But we surely will decide according to the fact. We do cherish and respect our real customers.

This rude guy named "CanaanScammers" is a real scammer and his name on Telegram is JAVA SSM (maybe he has changed already)
He verbally abused us all the time, he planned to PUA and drive us crazy, then we may send BTC to his "new" wallet address.
Luckily we have a safe payment and refund process, our finance colleagues are very professional so we need to submit for approval with receipts. What's more, we have technician colleagues who are very professional too, they helped us verify both Email addresses, and this scammer is using a fake email system, that's why he could send us Emails with our real customer's Email address.
BTW, here comes proof from our customer (Agreed by our customer)

https://imgur.com/a/AgbeaTh  (100% original, just hide privacy parts)

Again, never trust this real scammer.
Any more questions about Avalon miners or orders, please contact customerservice@canaan.io
If you have placed an order from our official shop, you can leave a message under the order, which is 100% safe.
So far, we only have this official online shop https://shop.canaan.io/
All other domain names are fake, such as canan , cannan...

May the love & faith fill your heart and the mining of bitcoin fill your wallet.

This is a very well known strategy to imposters. These days we don't see it on the forum that much (on the scam accusations) but in the past I think we have seen several similar cases. With Yobit if I remember correctly it happened many times. Their customer service were not active much and scammers used to create Twitter accounts including in other social media accounts pretending they are Yobit. The victims were giving them their account details resulting losing their coins.

You may need to post the chat history of whatever accusation you are raising here so that others understand what's going wrong. It's difficult to justify the case.

Right, we are collecting chat history created by these scammers. They are supposed to be gangs of professional scammers.
Even if we can't stop all, we need to expose their bad behavior and prevent more people from being deceived.

May the love & faith fill your heart and the mining of bitcoin fill your wallet.

Sad to see there's a scammer manipulate the real story and play victim, aside to warn scammers in this thread. I suggest you to create a thread about your service on Service Announcement section [1] This will make users in this forum recognize your shop and anyone will know your reputation. Since you're a Jr.Member, you can already attach images, you should use the BBCode instead of the direct link to the imgur.

In fiat system for example paypal; when a customer asks for a refund they refund it to the same account it came from. Why don't you do the same. Return the coins that came from the address. It's less risky and troublesome for your team.

But one thing need to be sure. If the clients send the btc from an exchange or service then the input address for you may not be their own address. If you refund to that input address then that exchange or service will receive the coin, not the client. So in your website, have this term that one has to own their private key of the wallet they will use to send you payment (their wallet has to be a noncustodial wallet). Make it noticeable for all the clients and have clear FAQ for it.

Bitcoin gives you full control of your money, but that's optional and shouldn't be forced on those who don' want it. Using non-custodial wallets is the way to go, but we all know that many people still rely on exchanges and custodial services to store their coins and keys. Asking a business to force people to use Bitcoin the right way won't get you the results you want. They will just take their business elsewhere where there are no such demands. Canaan will, therefore, only be at a loss here. Recommending and suggesting the best practices is better.

The company needs to be able to identify each customer based on the information they provided to their team. It's your job to keep your sensitive info safe. Since we are talking about physical goods, the company has logs of who ordered it, names, addresses, payment methods, emails, etc. If someone requires a refund to a different crypto address than the one on file, Canaan should be able to check and identify if they are in fact speaking with the right person. If the real owner was hacked and had his identity stolen, it can become troublesome. But for that, they can only blame themselves and not the company.

Well, it takes time to find a perfect solution.
1. If we insist on returning back to the original wallet, it may avoid these scammers who pretend to be customers, but there are some users who pay through Binance... then it's not friendly to them.
2. If we agree to refund to any wallet offered by our customers, it may be more convenient for scammers too. That's why we asked for the order page to double-confirm the identity.
We do appreciate all your suggestion and ideas and we will try our best to improve...

May the love & faith fill your heart and the mining of bitcoin fill your wallet.

With crypto it's always not straight forward. Have the strict rules of sending from a noncustodial wallet but obviously you will have cases where people do not read the terms (most of the time no one read the terms LOL), in exceptional cases you can ask for screenshot of their transaction page, tell them to send a small amount from the same account and ask them to send the history page screenshot again. Even if you need, do a KYC which will include seeing them on Skype with their documents.

All these will reduce the chances for you to avoid the scammers who will come with a false claim.

No doubt, you have done well in the last case.
