Yeah see at this point, it's not worth it for me (or anyone else) to go up and try to eclipse mikmic because he can easily get to the 40 BTC point first and then it becomes a matter of do we both want to lose money to spite each other. My suggestion was to have tiered levels so that if I got to, say, 5 BTC wagered I'd get a bigger bonus, and then a larger one at 10 BTC, 20 BTC, ect ect, so that even though I didn't have a shot at the overall win, I'd still find value in playing more. gg/gl I will keep it in mind for the next competition.

Plinkopot Most Wagered Contest. Starts: 8/19/15 at 00:00 UTC , Ends 8/22/15 at 00:00 UTC
Base Prize of 100,000 Bits Bonus Rewards, Bonus of 20,000 bits per 2 BTC wagered by the winner. Max of 500,000 bits total prize.Example, if the winner of the contest wagers a total of 10 BTC, the total prize will be 300,000 bits. Winner Takes All! Since you are putting a cap on max winnings, would you agree to end the promo and pay out if someone wagers a total of 40 BTC? Also, in your example you said 10 BTC wagered = 300,000 bits. That's 20,000 bits extra for every 1 BTC wagered. Thanks for pointing out the typo, corrected. And normally I wouldn't have a problem with that, however there are some people that have already played and would rather not change the rules after the contest start. I will keep it in mind for the next one though.

I ran this overnight. I woke up to a 350+ gb unmanageable text doc and the script was still running. If someone gets one more letter, I can run it and it will be easier. Here is the code I used"
from itertools import product import itertools import sys sys.stdout = open('c:/combo.txt', 'w') for ele in itertools.product("0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ",repeat=6): print("".join(ele))
Note, you are including the letters I, O, l, and the number 0 which are all invalid base58check characters. It also doesn't make much sense to store all the iterations in a file. Instead it would be better to generate each potential key and then verify the checksum. You only need to store those keys that have a valid checksum (which should be approximately 1 out every 4,294,967,296 keys generated). You don't even really need to store the keys with a valid checksum. You could just compute the address for each key that has a valid checksum as you find it and see if the address matches the winning address. If it does, then you are done. Honestly, coding that is a bit beyond my ability which was why I did it the way I did. I'm pretty sure my brain would explode before I had a working version of what you suggested.

I have gone back and looked at #3 again, I think the correct answer should be EA hBp 192 (7)-1 should be h. See the pdf file again, page 192 should be the page 208 in the pdf. Hello! i will hold on for a day or two to Announche any right answers again
The OP purposely have a capital A in "announce" and an additional h, meaning the h is behind A => E AhBp this is a small hint. but hints can be small. but this Hint is: Softcover Level 3
"this is a small hint" & "but hints can be small" => a small "h" OP is really smart!!Anyone willing to put their computing power into brute forcing the answer? Well then now I have: 5Juu2CkB3EAhBpEcyH9dypNhPetergh6RQwwbo5ueBa6------E? If you where to try and bruteforce the last part, assuming the rest is correct, it would only need 50 billion tries (if I calculated this correctly..) The quickest way to tackle that would be using itertools in python. 6 places should go quick. I'll try it tomorrow if no one has yet. I ran this overnight. I understand. I will be doing a most wagered contest again sometime next week. Probably a little shorter duration than the last one.
If you are open to suggestions: how about a tiered rewards system? Wager X BTC, get a bonus of Y BTC. That way everyone is encouraged to play as much as possible to maximize their bonus and you don't have incentive to not play. I'm very open to suggestions. Especially good ones. Good idea. We will do it in that format.

Did everyone give up on the challenge? Hint for the day is: hash algo
Good luck.
I think most people don't really care about hide and seek games. People in the gambling section want to gamble. Well, there will be another most wagered contest shortly. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing that you're trying to give away money, you just seemed confused as to why people weren't participating. I participated (and won!) in the most wagered contest because it was a fun gamble that could have generated a little extra equity. I read over this promo and didn't give it a second thought because it's not that fun/interesting to me and seems like it would be quite time consuming. I would imagine that most of the people you are looking to attract with these promos have a similar mentality. I understand. I will be doing a most wagered contest again sometime next week. Probably a little shorter duration than the last one.
