1766  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain send payment api stopped ? on: May 26, 2016, 05:09:56 PM
Yes.  It's a clusterfuck.  The revoked thousands of API keys without reason.   I emailed them and got this explanation:

Quote
"API keys are approved or rejected completely at our discretion. Your request was denied because it does not meet the standards we expect from our API users.

There are no further details we will provide as to why we reject requests. Thank you for your interest."

Which loosely translates to: "fuck you, you aren't even worth an explanation"

So yeah, I'll be spending the next X number of hours recoding every single script of mine that uses it.  And never using them again.

While I think the concept is very cool and am considering a bid myself, the new owner will have several things to consider.

Fairness: I don't feel that this method is actually fair or 100% random.  Using the fraction of a kb from the block size brings up a few issues.

1) The size of an "empty block" will be more likely to occur than anything else as these happen several times a day on average.    This could be resolved by using the block hash,  converting to hex and applying a modulus.

2) block time, is not 100% correct.  A block time stamp will be reported by the node that mined the block (which may not be entirely accurate).  It may be received and reported by other nodes at different times as they receive the block.

3)  Attack by miners is possible.  Should the game become incredibly popular and have a large pot, large miners could invest in the game and potentially orphan a block purposely if the result is not in their favor.   Obviously, for this to make sense, the pot would need to be larger than the block reward.

With that being said, the site is nice and as we all know, the products with the most success are usually the unique ones.   Good luck with your sale.

1779  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mining sweden is a scam on: May 13, 2016, 05:17:23 PM
I have one better for you.  Invested in S5 shares at the end of August.  Not even 9 months into my 1 year contract he removes my shares and payouts because they are no longer profitable.   Now the s7 share payouts have been decreased so much that it isn't even possible to break even on those.  And now Tommy has the audacity to offer S9 pre-sale shares?  Really?  What is that for?  To pay your VIP share holders in what appears to be yet another ponzi cloud mining operation.

Good luck trying to get any existing members to reinvest.  I'll make sure i spread the word of this scammer to any potentially new customers.  This operation will go under by the end of the year......i bet.

Tommy is a scamming douche bag.

Who is this guy anyhow? Has he been doxed or is he an unknown scammer like marcelo santos of scrypt.cc??

Tommy is a good guy.   He wasn't doxed.   He gives out his (real) full name.   They have a small farm.   They have regularly proved that they are mining since they have opened.   They don't run absurdly low priced sales because they can't afford to.   They make it incredibly clear what hash power they have and provide proof.    As far as I can tell, there is zero sketchy about MS.    The majority of people commented on this thread are here to spam their sigs.   I've been chatting with Tommy since before he bought the initial antminers.   All the people crying "ponzi" need to do is contact him with their concerns and I'm sure they will be put to rest.

Can you show me some of the coins they mined on the blockchain? I they "regularly proved that they are mining" this should be pretty simple.

They don't solo mine.  They mine in a pool.   Send an email to them.   I'm sure they will give account info so you can look up their pool stats.
