2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago mined 50 Bitcoin just moved on: August 23, 2022, 07:44:00 PM
Very interesting info. I appreciate it when something like that happens . that wallet holder is really lucky . coz When he mined 50 bitcoins the price was very low but now when he transferred the bitcoins it is worth more than million dollars. But if he had access to his wallet a few months earlier ,when the price of bitcoin was over $65k he could have sold his bitcoins for 3x from present price.

To be honest, any miner who could have the courage to hold a bitcoin that was mine when the price was $0.5 deserve to do whatever he chose to do with his bitcoin. I mean 10 years is a big lot of time that many things have happened in the bitcoin industry. If the owner of that wallet address could import his private keys to other chains, he could also spend other coins that were airdroped some years ago.

Right after the wallet sent out the 50btc, wallet address 1KrETovXBTFu5caT4DekhwoWZ5zLz1L6bN broadcasted dust to 4 outputs and 18eXJskHRVvKrqmxD9T6K6UQ6GBC6ya2WS was among the wallet that received the dust transaction, why would anyone dust an empty wallet?

Here is the tx hash
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/a9979f62df165063f0ea3c5b88d63a584ae08acccb91aeba4dbcc02643ddb935

Another Observation, the 3 other wallets that received the dust transaction seem to have a similar prefix that starts with 1111

2162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: August 23, 2022, 06:02:13 PM

what do you do if it turns out that your culture requires you to play gambling?

there's nothing wrong with trying to gamble if it's a tradition, but if you go home empty handed it's not entertainment, but bad luck is not luck
Gambling for tradition I think is natural, because it has been around for a long time,
but if gambling for new greed we must avoid it

In gambling, you can have the skills but it also requires luck, if it doesn't favour you that day, you may go home empty handed and may still look as entertainment to those who only do it for fun and not as a means to make money.
If gambling is a tradition, I believe that cultural perspective must have taken it to be entertainment and not necessary must win, even from what Op says, you are required to test it to get rid of bad luck and if the outcome doesn't favour you, that doesn't mean you will fail in life. Sometimes, only what you believe can affect you, these may just be superstitious to some people.
2163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It For The Money Or For The Sport Or A Clear Exploitations on: August 23, 2022, 05:38:39 PM
To be honest, you have a point. People nowadays become interested in sports because of the influencers or the fansclub they are making. I remember a conference here wherein people only shows attention to the sports because of the influencers and those individuals they are making fun with but the real essence of the game is not there anymore, some or the organizers are taking advantage this thing because it is more about the money.
and that makes me sad as a Sports lover since younger years when sports are being respected and being treat as a precious area of entertainment and skills, nowadays sports are becoming more on popularization and making money more than the real version in which to bring Name and honor to their country or their states .
now almost every sports game happens with money and with popularity .

Have you observed growth in players pay, ticket prices, the cost of joining leagues, and the amount of money to set aside for each position won? These were not too demanding back then, but things have changed and evolved with time.
Take Brazil, for example, they love football and in fact, every household now wants their young kids to be in a sports academy to pursue their goals rather than carrying engineering pencils and papers, Jamaicans are well known for races and winning medals, all of which brings honours and revenue to their country, this is what sports are today and not like yesterday when they had to beg Samsung and Fly emirate to come and sponsor them, it is the companies that are doing the lobbying and sponsoring them in return for other deals and Ads.

Bettors who believed in the united was really lucky today because the ods was very high and even a double chance for united was a very good deal, i mad a bet on Manchester united to win but i wasn't brave enough to put a big amount and im really regrating this

Who would have thought Manchester United would be this brave today to make Liverpool concede like this, even the bookmarkers weren't confidence in Manchester United that is why they increased the odds for many people to bet against Liverpool and I guess today is another lucky day for gamblers, I didn't stake any for today's match but I doff my hat for Manchester united.
I really hope they continue the struggle like this, they should do anything to defeat Southampton in the next round, if possible they should allow Casemiro to play next week along side with Ronaldo, may be they can work out something for the team.
2165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 22, 2022, 07:59:43 PM
Although it was unexpected that Man United managed to score the first goal, but Liverpool dominated the match. So there is still an opportunity
for Liverpool to turn things around, maybe it's just a matter of time for Liverpool to score a goal. As you said, this match is a must win for Liverpool
after the previous two games Liverpool failed to win. Moreover, Man City lost points against Newcastle, so it should make Liverpool even more motivated
to win against Man United. Even though Liverpool have lost Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota up front, there is still a reliable Roberto Firmino. So I also
like you are still optimistic that Liverpool can beat Man United, moreover Man United's performance in the previous two matches was very bad.

Ball possession says it all, it is undeniably that one will want to give credit to Manchester united in this match but does that matter, it goals and it equivalents point that count. Though, I must confess that Liverpool aren't slumber on this, they need to win this match like the way Manchester want it badly, it all clear the way they are playing.

Seems like when top players of a team doesn’t play, the team blend so well and perform better than when they do, Look at the way Sancho scored that goal, even made defender to sleep on the floor, I hope when Ronaldo get substituted, he should atleast add another goal for them to give them more balance, I'm not satisfied yet with this single goal.
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 22, 2022, 01:56:24 PM
Good start and it's a bit surprising how they did something extraordinary at the start of the season. It would be a rush to say that they are going to be challengers in the top flight but with them doing something extraordinary it gives them confidence that they will be the surprise team in La Liga this season. I hope this is not a moment of euphoria, but that they will defend until the end of the season.

Villarreal has always been a wonderful team, it is just that they do get caught off guard and small mistakes but you can't mention Laliga without them, they play defensively and offensively in most of their match. I think the giant's team of Laliga is still sleeping, aside from Real Madrid which is always consistent with that top 4, others are still waiting to reach a turning point before they begin triple points. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time Villareal make it to the top 4, they only tried 2019/2020 and they ended in only 5 positions, maybe this time they can try harder this time.

Being influenced by a person shouldn't be a problem in my opinion, we all are influenced by one or two players in every sport. I remember when Ronaldo was still playing for Spain, they all love him for who he his and the club(Real Madrid) he was playing for, he is still the highest goal scorer to date but the moment they announced his transfer to England, one-third of the fans followed him, now imagine how many the number of sales ticket the new club will make from these fans.

Sport is business, the same way it's been done in Boxing too, they have to make ways or even compromised some matches just to stay relevant that's why you see some fight doesn't worth your time spent in watching them.
2168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: August 22, 2022, 11:23:17 AM
in fact there is no single religion that requires its adherents to gamble but many cultures in some countries allow gambling because it is not part of a crime

religion requires us not to be greedy and make other people lose, so gambling is not allowed according to religion because it can make people greedy and greed is the root of evil

I don't want to be too focused on some religious settings that prohibit gambling because they feel it makes people greedy and doesn't want to lose. On the other hand, don't you think Arabians spend money on sports and signed new players than some other parts of the continent, they pay more to have these credible players and if you ask me, I will say they are taking too much risk to win leagues because of the money attached to the trophies, isn't that greedy and definitely, others will lose too considering the amount other teams and effort they do invest in those leagues.

Gambling should be fun and as the OP says, the primary objective is the money for the majority but it shouldn't turn to an addicted thing.
2169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 22, 2022, 11:01:52 AM
What is Manchester United doing at number 20, I wanted to support them as my team since everyone seems to be supporting a football club, but seeing this, it is looking like I should still hold on a bit and observe, maybe after a few more games.

I understand your disappointment and how it feels when your favourite team underperforms. However, I believe they still have a chance to do better in their next match if they don't end up with zero points. Remember last season when Arsenal was struggling to make it to the top four even though New Castle didn't give them that chance until the final rounds, they had a similar performance like Manchester United is having right now, they called them names like "Top to Bottom" because their name starts with A and Premier leagues usually arrange names in alphabetical order but I was surprised when they gave Chelsea some simple lessons with 2 goals last season.
2170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It For The Money Or For The Sport Or A Clear Exploitations on: August 21, 2022, 10:34:29 PM
Obviously it is happening for the money, that is why the organizers always pick the best rivalries or popular people so they can sell out completely and also get more money from the sponsors and you know the fighters also getting paid in millions so just like any business this uses the human excitement to make money.

I don't like to bet my money against this type of sport, they are sometimes just based on entertainment and the final say from the anonymous decision makers, they know how to play their cards and know who to favour in most of the matches, this is something you cannot do in football because you can't manipulate 11 players on the field or tell the strikers and wingers not to do their job but boxers are just different. Kamaru Usman and Anthony Joshua's last match came to my mind, who would have thought Kamaru would fall down helplessly like that and most people thought AJ will do anything to retain his champions belt.
2171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 21, 2022, 10:22:56 PM
Everyone is disappointed with Chelsea. It is shame that Leeds United can beat them with 3 scores, while Chelsea cannot score any goal at all. Chelsea actually dominated the ball possessions, but they are not effective in scoring. There are 14 shot attempts, 3 on target, but no goals. I think Chelsea players need to sharpen their ability in finishing or learn more about how to score. If no changes in Chelsea performance, they may not finish in the top 5 at the end of the season. Anyway, regarding Man City performance, they were dominating the match, made more shot attempts and take 70% of ball possessions. They seem good in attacking and midfield line, but they are weak in defense line. Man City need to strengthen their defenders if they want to be the winner this season.

Was Chelsea against Lead City something to be disappointed about? I don't think so, that is the joy of watching football, small team do take down big guys. Statictically and the manner in which Chelsea played was very great against Lead city but they under estimated them because if look closely, those guys didn't come to to do skills, they were there to score goal and did beautifully.
This is a lesson for other top teams in England to be prepare any time when they have match with teams that are underrated, that was how Man United poorly played against Brentford and they received the second shock this season.

Do you know one thing about plagiarised content? they are nice to read, it was a pure copy and paste, but of course, it is not everyone that will notice the act. It is possible that at the time those posts were merited, the users weren't aware that the user has been banned, and the post that was merited obviously deserved merit as a beginner to encourage them.

Again, by SMF default template, the forum doesn't show banned on profiles except when you used a third party extension such as the forum BPIP extension to see something like the above, if any user should view Feeling sound profile, they wouldn't know that he was banned.

2175  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 18, 2022, 10:28:46 PM
The struggle between the decision of being your own boss and working under someone is becoming more difficult to make as economic situations become tougher. From evaluation around me, self proclaimed entrepreneurs are quitting entrepreneurship because of difficulty in maintaining a business and reduced sales due to reduced purchasing power from people, an effect of the economic situation. Office workers on the other hand who also have been on one salary grade for a long time now are becoming fed up with how their monthly salary is no longer sufficient to secure a comfortable lifestyle for a month also due to the higher cost of living. What do you think is the way forward?

You can continue to dwell on this topic, preach all you want to, says all the recommendation that you have to give, not everyone will be an entrepreneur, not everyone will want to be self-employed, they would rather prefer to work under somebody and while some people combine the two. It is not everybody that can work or absorb the stress of being self-employed, they would be happy to work under someone and vice versa.
Though the number of entrepreneurs has increased significantly, some people have begun to know the advantage of being entrepreneurs over working under someone.
2176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating people on Bitcoin for free on: August 18, 2022, 10:14:32 PM
Teaching people Bitcoin is good but one thing i noticed concerning them. Cryptocurrency is free through teaching of people and i have never seen anybody who learn cryptocurrency with money, because i have the knowledge that Bitcoin education always be free. But some people think that you most spead money before understanding the picture of cryptocurrency and the rules and regulations of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin in the country i can from is free

I don't blame some people who pay to learn about bitcoin, most of the time, they usually have the wrong impression about bitcoin which is why they do fall for such mistakes. Bitcoin has made a lot of wealthy people and we have seen how it has changed lives, it usually makes it to the news and people do read them. Now, when people processed this information, they take it like that without verifying what bitcoin is all about, they take that mindset to make money with bitcoin and will be ready to spend to learn it.
2177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 18, 2022, 10:03:19 PM
Recently 3 suspects were arrested by Israel police for laundering money internationally through crypto. This money was stolen from France. This is a major international money-laundry.

Bitcoin this, Bitcoin that, Bitcoin government headache, government lets kill this bitcoin, government spread negative news on bitcoin, when will all this stop? The government will always find one little thing to hold against what they don't want or what they don't want to exist.
Money Laundering started way back since the inception of fiat and is still going on, especially by business, so much illegal money has been washed through clubs and warehouses, and some coke has been exchanged in fiat printed by the same government. Criminals will always use any means to carry out their evils, I know it is a concern for the bitcoin ecosystem but they shouldn't make it look as if it only happens with bitcoin.
2178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the Blockchain.Com is Bitcoin Blockchain or the Bitcoin Core QT ? on: August 18, 2022, 02:43:04 AM
Where exactly Bitcoins are Stored in the database ? Is it in the Bitcoin Core QT or in the Blockchain.Com ?

Can any one explain me please ?

Technically, your Bitcoins are not stored but they are locked on the public key, when they are successfully locked, each of these transaction data/hash is included in a block by a miner and permanently distributed to every node that is connected to the bitcoin network, these blocks are in sequence and it continues in that manner when a new block is successfully mine and hence the name blockchain.

Bitcoin core and Blockchain.com are two different wallets and none of them stores your bitcoin but store your private keys and helps you spend your bitcoin.
2179  Economy / Economics / Re: High prices not a problem if you got MONEY on: August 17, 2022, 10:58:44 AM
------

I've capcut what you've typed there in case you change your mind. However, what you said makes no sense; you obviously don't understand economics; stable coins are no different from fiat, only that they are digital money utilized in cryptocurrencies. When you print more money out of nowhere and due to the obvious power invested in some sector, they just want to forcefully give it value and you expect it to be balanced with life expectations, inflation is unavoidable when you go brrr, this is what fiat has been struggling with for decades, and 2022 was the rollercoaster of all, you see the FEDs making adjustments every month just to balance everything.
2180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: August 17, 2022, 10:07:04 AM
Look at the growth of Bitcoin from the day of inception, no significant assets that have managed to do that kind of growth linearly, the ones who grow like that collapsed and were tagged as a bubbled investment but bitcoin survive the names and more people are coming to the system. This is what the government fears, they don't want people to abandon their old system, they fear that people will prefer bitcoin and cryptos to all the bonds and securities they are all controlling.
If you look at the US and some other bitcoin friendly countries that allowed bitcoin in their state are working with exchanges to regulate it, that's why they are also benefiting from the taxes and revenue they generate from their people, they know it cannot be controlled not because some people used it for criminal activity but because that's what people want, something decentralized and not control by old men in political offices.
