2161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: May 09, 2023, 01:17:19 PM
There is a saying that says "pride goes  before failure" that was the attribute of the young man. Arrogance and ignorance altogether made him crumbled and that is the root of his challenges encountered.
There is also a sayings that says "do not forget the days if your humble beginning" he ignored his friends as result of his stupidity. Forget his early struggling days with his friends just because of the feelings that he has arrived and it has landed him in a pool of regrets.

However, it is wisely advised to gamble responsibly. If he had been with his friends, I believe they  would have advised him. These kind of people are the type that easily get distracted when a little change enters their pockets. As you can see for yourself, he Messed up to the point of resigning his job and not even thinking of starting up a business for himself and that is where he landed himself hoping on gambling wins to sustain him without having a thought of the future.
This should be a big lesson for him to learn since he choose to be deaf ears.

2162  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ NowDice.com 🎲 Low House Edge 🎲 NO KYC! 💰 Jackpot 💰 on: May 09, 2023, 11:35:58 AM
but I believe it's not good to use that because we don't know who is the real people that want to chat or ask the moderator there if there is one.
and right now the website is already 3 days but the bot still actively chat every minute with no relevant question like other games even sportsbook.

Just checked again and I can see that the frequency of the bot now is not like what it was for the first few days which was really crazy when the bot worked like every second. Now there is like a gap between one message to other message, maybe they changed it to make it looks more real but what is written there still show that they are all bots.

Yes, they still use a bot to fake chat activity on their platform. This can be easily verified by checking the live response from the json_chat function at https://nowdice.com/index.php?json_chat

If you take a closer look at the chat activity, you'll notice that all the messages are being generated with the same username - "BET-NOWDICE". This is a clear indication that a bot is being used to simulate user activity. It's a shame that the platform is resorting to such deceptive tactics instead of focusing on improving the user experience and delivering real value to its customers.

Mate, I have no doubt about your findings. You did a good research and investigation in it. Onset from the very beginning, I noticed it too. This casino using bot to decieve  gamblers making us think it is real live chat thinking we would fall for their tricks. We are above that expensive joke here and no one is a little kid here to toy with.

If this casino is using bot for customer care to chat themselves does it mean that they do not have funds to pay for some one to do the job as a customer care service? Then if so how certain is it that those figures they displayed to be the numbers of bettors and funds accrued from betting on their home page is genuine?

I am beginning to doubt this casino genuinety.
2163  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcrypto.cr |No KYC Casino & Sportsbook| 200% welcome bonus + 100% reload bonus on: May 09, 2023, 11:23:20 AM
How are you going to prevent the underage gambling?
This is another bone of contention. Although It is a nice question you have asked because this would help checkmate activities of underage gamblers onboard the casino. In some nation's, underage gambling is prohibited and their is likely penalty for both defaulters including the casino and the underage gambler if caught up in the act while in some nation's their is no law holding anyone to gamble.

I think this question you have asked does not bother with the casino since it  has clearly stated it that there is no KYC which means the casino is free for all to gamble. What you should be thinking is the local laws of various nation's pertaining to gambling and the age limit for gambling. Each country has its own law as regards that aspect of entertainment when it comes to casino. It is left for every individual to know the right thing to do when gambling from their various locations.
2164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 09, 2023, 10:52:23 AM
Keep showing that you love your current gambler, so I've said "loyalty program for those who have been on the platform for a long time and keep depositing, as well as deposit bonuses and free spins since most of the casinos right now I notice mostly focus on new user bonuses, which means those old gamblers or users in the casino won't be depositing at all and will be looking for another casino. That is why making promotions for the users is good for them to stay.
Putting into considerations the old or early adopters of the casino is a very good one because if not for them patronizing the casino, the casino would not have gone this far. Atleast there should be some sort of rewards them for their  commitment and patronage. This I think should be put into consideration as well while looking out for new participants who would take advantage of the bonus.
You can not neglect the one you already have that has been there for long with you from the very beginning without considering anything for them and wanting entice new members who are just after the bonuses and when it is finished they go. I will tell you this,  if you do not do the needful you will end up chasing away the members you already have and also the new ones would go after exhausting the bonus. If is left for the casino to decide which one is very important to focus on.
2165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could be the Right and Perfect Counter-Argument for this? on: May 09, 2023, 04:41:08 AM
No one is finding it easy with the high Bitcoin transaction fee. Some of us (Electrum wallet users) are actually stuck because our transactions must be done with Bitcoin. It's sad that we are experiencing this, and what's even sadder is having a Bitcoin critic point this out. They don't stop there but go ahead to write a long thread warning people not to invest in Bitcoin, citing this current issue of high transaction fees when compared with fiat transactions. What could be the right and perfect counter-argument for this?

OP, I believe that trying times of this nature are stepping stone to higher grounds. You know, every rival uses every weakness of their perceived opponents or rivalry to oppress. Although this attack came all of a sudden with no one expecting it to hit this had on bitcoin chain but they should not forget that Bitcoin has stand the test of time and this attack is not the first of it all. You just wait and see how the bounce back would look like in a short while. I will say this, if you can, fill up your bag as bull run is near.
2166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has become un-useable. Switch to altcoins or short sell on: May 09, 2023, 04:13:20 AM
many are switching to alternatives such as Solana for speed or Monero for privacy.
ROFL
You can't just replace bitcoin with another altcoin specially not with centralized shitcoins like Solana that have a massive premine.
Different countries have accepted bitcoin as a currency and some as legal tender, not altcoins.
Different merchants are accepting bitcoin as a payment and it is extremely rare for them to accept shitcoins.

P.S. This attack is not yet as big as 2017 spam attack.

From the looks, it is obvious that this is a planned attack on bitcoin chain, the timing, the nature of the attack and the manner at which it was launched but they forget they are only making bitcoin more popular and gaining more traction. Well, I see a surge in bitcoin price after this whole
saga.
The bitcoin awareness is strong. The adoption is fast spreading like wide fire. No shit coin can take or replace bitcoin not even the shitcoin as mentioned by OP.

Lastly, I think I should remind them not to forget that bitcoin is the first digital currency to be developed and as  such, is the genesis of crypto currency and blockchain technology.
2167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has become un-useable. Switch to altcoins or short sell on: May 09, 2023, 03:43:26 AM
OP  I can see from your name it is possible your are really from them. Are you trying to cause a FUD or what?. You are quickly at it singing praise of switching to other alt just because of the ordinals attack on bitcoin chain and here you are calling bitcoin un-useable when there are millions of transactions going on currently on bitcoin chain. It is fine and as a result of the attack on bitcoin chain, transaction prices skyrocketed which is not a new thing on blockchain that miners would prefer the higher transaction fee compared to the lesser. Anyways, thanks for your youtube video, as I had to get more of bitcoin because I saw a quick recovery and price boom in a short time.
2168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Aliens accept BTC, What about newborns? on: May 09, 2023, 03:05:42 AM
To foster communication and have a good relationship with humans, Aliens can likely accept Bitcoin because bitcoin is currently the best digital and highly sophisticated currency to have been discovered  by man without any fear or favor. As we all know, Aliens are some worth technologically inclined and has high technological strength and capacity based on presumption.

For newborns, they are exceptional and do not mind what is happening. Their guardians will definitely accept it on their behalf since they do have knowledge of what it is all about. This can be taken as a long term investment for the newborn baby until some certain age of maturity which before the price and value must have appreciated  enough to make a living from.
2169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 09, 2023, 12:53:58 AM
If you can be able to use this slogan " not your keys, not your coin" as your welcome address on your gadgets such as your phone and laptop I believe you will not for one day leave your assets with centralized exchange. Many have lost their fortunes overnight as a result of their carelessness of  leaving or storing their assets with centralized exchange and some today are shut down without their clients assets returned back to them.

Centralised exchange so far is not in any way safe to store funds and assets as they have say and control over the assets. Do not forget that they are under laws of the government where they are registered and therefore can work in accordance with the law of the nation where they are found. So therefore, it would be nice doing trade with the centralised exchange but do well to withdraw to your personal assets to self custodial wallet.
2170  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 09, 2023, 12:12:32 AM
Retirement age should not be a thing of much concern.  The government knows the input of every staff and it  Should not be a thing of concern to separate the seeds from the shaft. The out put of every staff should determine if they should be retained at some certain age which is a legal age of compulsory retirement.

Those staff who contributed immensely during their vibrant age Should be retained so as to share their wealth of experience to the junior staff.

I know of a man who served and achieved so many milestones while in active Service. He was well known be the state government and to federal. Due to his vast experience and knowledge on the job, his year of retirement was extended to 5 years and even after retirement, he is still sort after by the government for consultation and technical input uptill date, he is called upon when ever there is a difficult situation at hand.

What I am trying to say here is that the government or organization knows their workers very well. They know their inputs and that is a factor to guide them through making decisions after retirement of workers. Age should not be a concern as their are lots to learn from older generation that has been on the job. I think this is another topic of discussion because the new generation gets things wrong in line of duty most times and would need the advice or guidance of the older to get things going.

2172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High transaction fees and businesses that accept bitcoins. on: May 08, 2023, 10:08:31 PM
This is the least happening expected at this point in time on bitcoin blockchain. Many hopes are dashed right now as there are lots of pending payments and withdrawals days past. Most transactions are still yet to be confirmed with more still pending.
It is currently frustrating and dissappointing for business owners but I think there is always a way.

A plan be could be ok by businesses since it has to do with financial transaction for their businesses to strive on. For the moment, the only problem is transaction fee increment which is on the high side. Business vendors accepting bitcoin as a means of payment can still do business with bitcoin  pending when the congestion is a bit reduced.
2173  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is it scam or not.. Roobet transaction on: May 08, 2023, 08:58:12 PM
OP's transaction now has 46 confirmations - https://mempool.space/tx/2576526f091b8a283554c463cc3e6ca77c069eef65854141ed0daecf294279c9

OP you might want to first check your transaction using a blockchain explorer and learn how the Bitcoin network works before you come out here to accuse a service of scam. If you really care, you should even edit the title of this thread to "resolved"

It is confirmed already. I believe OP has little knowledge of how the system works OP could not be patient to do a lot research on what was  causing the delay as their is already given transaction hash but was quick to create a thread for scam accusations without proper evaluation.
At this juncture,  Heyui67, it would be nice to know that your case is been settled and haven confirmed your  funds, it would be nice you lock this thread as your case has been resolved.
2174  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: May 08, 2023, 08:44:17 PM
You can fully borrow money to invest in bitcoin when you understand its life cycle, risks and volatility as an investment opportunity. You need a step-by-step plan. Bitcoin is so popular and it's time to treat bitcoin as a bigger investment option like real estate. Bitcoin has the potential to grow over time and recover in value, which I personally think is an opportunity. I don't recommend borrowing money to invest in bitcoin but I'm not saying it's impossible to borrow, it's a business choice you have to take seriously.

Ofcourse it is business opportunity at hand but do you really think it is advisable to so do?
If I may ask did anyone predict the current situation of the bitcoin market? See, the market is volatile and there could be swings at any moment in time so one needs be careful. Borrowing to invest in a volatile market is very risky to say. If you can ask yourself why is it advised to invest what you know you can afford to loose.

No one is doubting the potentials of bitcoin to grow very strong. As it is now, bitcoin is a global market waiting to be tapped from. It has economical value and capability to make good asset value or store of value.
2175  Economy / Reputation / Re: Heads up on this user on: May 08, 2023, 08:27:17 PM
Anyone can come on this forum that needs someone's service in return for money. What I am saying is that you supposed to add the person's username so that we can all know the person's username.
Sorry , I forgot to add the profile link. I added it.

Also as I mentioned. No money was involved but his actions was unethical and something that should be avoided.
The business world has a standard business approach that should be followed. It is possible that this user doesn't understand business ethics which was why he refused to respond. He might feel that since no party has performed any service or made any payment, the business can be called off without information. I have experienced this behavior many times with prospective clients. Maybe he has gotten another person to perform the service. But the ideal thing was to inform you of his final decision. He has not been active since April 26th, so there might be the possibility that he might be going through some unpleasant situation. However, Op took a good decision by requesting an escrow, and thank God nobody got cheated.

That was a good move by OP. You know things happens and we have no idea why he has not been online for sometime now. Although such experience is not a new thing to me as I know how to handle such  when ever it occurs. OP should just forget about him as there is every possibility that he or she might have gotten another source for the job or something might have happened but however, if he or she is genuine, their is every possiblity that they would return back to OP for continuation of their deal.

OP, at this point I will advise to keep watch he just might come back but this time be sure to confirm with escrow before you proceed with your agreement.

2177  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: May 08, 2023, 03:43:06 PM
Those that could gamble with demo accounts are the computer gaming freaks and newbies who are looking for ways to familiarise themselves with the casino and its features but aside from that, one will need to gamble staking real money to get the right motivation and drive to play those games.

Absolutely correct mate, you know when you are getting into a system newly, you would need to get familiarized with the system on how it works though and I think that is the best thing to do at the moment one decides to get involved in anything of that nature. As you have said,  gamers  will do that because it is quite a different thing from playing games. This is reality and would require all forms of skills and techniques quite different from playing of games. You know as well it requires commitment and funds compared to playing of games.
So therefore, it would not be a bad idea familiarizing with the casino demo system to getting more knowledge about how the system works before jumping in to it to commiting your funds for gambling.
2178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 08, 2023, 01:09:07 PM
Hi we are changing the reward system and we would like to have some feedback before launch the new system

What kind of rewards/bonuses do you like ?

Welcome bonuses , cashback , freespins etc ?

or what kind of rewards would you like to see in an online casino ?

Thanks
A poll would have been added to this discussion, so that at the end you will be able to see which of the rewards/bonuses that gamblers on this forum like the most because everyone has a preference.

Since you are trying to change your reward system, and the aim definitely is to increase and attract new gamblers, it will be important to point out to you that before some gamblers choose to begin playing on a casino even with any promised reward or benefit, they first consider the terms and conditions of the bonuses and rewards offered, the withdrawal limits, wagering requirements, in some cases how long the rewards can last, and how often they will get rewards for gambling even after they sign up for the casino's.

This is absolutely correct mate. You see all these bonuses are just to attract crowd but the real thing lies in the terms and conditions and even the bonuses too has  clause holding it. Just as you have said, before one could get hold of the bonuses, they must have fulfilled certain criteria  to being entitled to that bonus otherwise they have nothing to get.

So therefore, OP, this is not a bad idea of participants suggesting bonuses to you for consideration as requested by you but honestly speaking, the terms and conditions holding those bonuses are what is very important because one would not be happy if after doing their own part and wanting to claim their bonus and finds out that their are some hidden terms and conditions, it would not be making any sense.
2179  Other / Meta / Re: [Workaround] Automatically Save Text Written In Bitcointalk Editor on: May 07, 2023, 09:45:24 PM
I saw several users requesting for this feature, there are plenty workarounds like using third party editors however this one takes the cake as it works on bitcointalk editor.

Nothing extraordinary, just an extension, named TextArea Cache. Download it For Chrome | For Firefox.

Automatically saves text written in editor, bitcointalk and others, even when window/tab is closed, system shutdown or pressed 'X' on your mobile keyboard (works with any extension supported browser).

Android: Kiwi | Lemur | Mises

iOS: Orion

Leave your feedback.

OP, it is nice you have discovered this.  We could test run it to see how good it works on the pages but my fear here is this, how sure are you that this extension would not be exposing our details to hackers. How strong and good is this extension is to be operational.
And if I may ask, OP, are you amongst their team?
Because what I see you doing is an indirect advertisement for this extension  project.
2180  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: May 07, 2023, 09:22:28 PM
As interesting as this topic is, there would be many views and personal perspective from different people which is quite alright with me.

However, I have come to realize that many people fit in to many activities in life just to stay abreast and connected to the main stream. A career is good and a business is welcoming.

I believe building a business takes patience and time which not every body has that calms and chills to handle it and instead, would opt for a paid job for survival but it doesn't ends there.
I have come to realize that most people prefer government jobs. Why? because of the time they would need for their own personal business which means that even while working as an employee, people still run their various businesses through proxy and this is basically seen in the government institutions because they have time and are not under any pressure to work so they devote that time to their own personal business.
