2165  Bitcoin / Group buys / Would Anyone try a group rental? on: February 27, 2015, 07:47:05 AM
It sounds crazy but would anyone want to try a group rental?
I was only wondering since miningrigrentals has a 500TH, well sorta looking thing, that is up for rental.
500TH
Other 500TH
400TH

If people would want to buy shares to have it aimed at a solo pool.
Shares could be percentage wise of the total cost, as well as total payout.

Escrowed for sure, by someone willing to collaborate or do work.
2166  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Steam Wallet Codes on: February 27, 2015, 06:41:27 AM

2169  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Bitcoin Raffle #1 on: February 26, 2015, 03:09:49 PM
New idea. How would people feel if I used a dicing site, and used the last digit for the winning ticket?

For example

The last number was a 0 in the roll, meaning the 0 ticket would have won
Tickets would be sold from 0-9 to account for this.

Here is the hash from primedice

And here is the only roll that has happened in almost 10 days

Since there isn't a way to removing bets from the list, it keeps the host (me) from cheating the raffle.
It also doesn't allow the host to know the number, until the drawing happens.

How would people feel about this method?
Just trying new ideas here.
2170  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] NEW ALIENWARE M17x R5 at 50% on: February 26, 2015, 02:55:51 PM
He has made like 3 different posts about the same sale...
2171  Economy / Auctions / Re: You're bidding on being my referrer on: February 26, 2015, 03:53:14 AM
This is beyond confusing.

I don't believe anyone can ever profit off this.

For example, you want 100,000 satoshi for 10% referral bonus for a site that you listed (which currently is down right now).

You'll have to collect 1,000,000 satoshi for the winner of the auction just to reach ROI and that's not counting the unknown factors of trust and commitment.

Valid points. As it is the first auction it only seems reasonable that there would be questions.

IF you were to bid, what would be your offer? (This is not an official bid. It's a question).
Iwouldn't personally offer anything, because in the future nobody knows how active you'll be on the faucet site, once a day, once a week?
2172  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS]"What is Bitcoin?" silkscreened posters by Nubbins (Limited Edition) on: February 26, 2015, 03:05:43 AM
ezeminer,

Just fyi...that post you replied to is not what it so ineptly tries to look like.  There is an ongoing campaign by someone here to disparage certain people because they smoked out a thief.  He is very upset and trolls the forum looking for any excuse to post something negative in the hopes that he can exact some revenge on the people he holds in contempt (myself included).  The account that he is posting from has a very colorful trust rating from long standing forum members and in all likelihood is not even owned by the original thief anymore.

Cyclops is a very well known and respected member here and has had many transactions with people, myself included, that have gone off without a hitch.

As for the work itself, take a look at the thread below and you can decide for yourself who is full of hot air here.  Lastly, I also happen to own one of these prints and can tell you without hesitation that if I were to even consider selling mine it would be for much more than what cyclops is asking here.

2173  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS]"What is Bitcoin?" silkscreened posters by Nubbins (Limited Edition) on: February 26, 2015, 12:40:39 AM
I hate to be the one to say it but i think you got scammed buddy. That poster looks like it belongs in an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba and could have easily been put together with clipart. That is nowhere near "art" and for $150 i can buy a screen printing kit tons of paper and make 1000 of them with nothing more than photoshop.

Tell ya what, when nobody else makes an offer to buy it, I'll give you $5.00usd for it. I can hang it next to that Teletubbies poster i have always wanted.

I think they would look good together.

When you start to look at this piece, and realize that there is so much more than a teletubby theme. You can see that it is something bigger.
Personally I'd be interested at a lower price, but I just bought a Kialara so I can't afford a cool piece like this now.
2174  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Steam Wallet Codes on: February 26, 2015, 12:10:00 AM
Just bumping around, Still have 3 codes.
2175  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS/WTT] Arduino Yun on: February 26, 2015, 12:03:19 AM
I don't know if you'd be interested in $40 shipped, but i'll try and help get some attention for ya.
I know it is really low, but it is just a starting point for anyone else interested.

Sorry about the late reply. Been busy with work and other commitments.

I would be willing to do it for $50 if it was paid for by the end of the night. I could use BTC by tomorrow morning.
$45 and you have a deal.

Already dropped from $60 to $50, and stated that the drop was just for the night. $50 and no less. As it is, I bought it for $70, it still sells for that and more, and it's never been used. Plus, for $70 you don't get any cables whereas I'm including USB, I/O cables, and LEDs.
It was worth a shot Cheesy
2176  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Feb 22 to March 9 diff thread with contest included. on: February 25, 2015, 09:40:31 PM
Lots of variance recently, 40 minutes since last block and 3 blocks within a minute prior to that.

Actually I have no idea if that's really unusual, just been looking at some random blockchain stats  Grin

@ suchmoon all bold is updates.

Thanks!

Well looks like that block has been cracked. Looks like over 3.8million dollars in output
2177  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: bASIC usb setup newbie questions :D on: February 25, 2015, 08:42:27 PM
no you wont' make profit, by just adding more of those units(which are useless by the way)

slush pool is a very old pool i don't think it's operative anymore

Slush is the only way he'll get any sort of BTC, but it isn't even worth it.
You'll burn through too much electricity. Computers use too much electricity compared to mining ASICS.
best he can do it a raspberry pi with a couple antminer u3's
2178  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 1Th/s solo mining... worth it? on: February 25, 2015, 08:39:13 PM
well you have like a 1/320,000 chance to solve a block, Based on your hash rate compared to the network. It is like a lottery so you could be extremely lucky, or waiting as one guy said, 2300 days
2179  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Feb 22 to March 9 diff thread with contest included. on: February 25, 2015, 07:01:05 PM
+3.51 to + 3.75
A4 you might want another number since that one has been claimed.

Assuming it's still available, I'll take the +3.51% to +3.75% slot.

This is sort of an interesting change, though I'm not sure I like it. It feels more constricting since I can't select the number I like because it's in a range taken by someone else, so a speedy reply is more of a factor now than it was before. Posting another guess as the closing date draws closer is also limited, since it's likely the range will already be taken.

2180  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Steam Wallet Codes on: February 25, 2015, 03:00:44 PM
I could do $14 for one.
Meet me at $15 and we can do it.

Yea im not gonna be a jew over a dollar.

I m a bit short, I will buy some coins tomorrow then shoot you a Pm.
Alright, I'll be around. Good deal buying at 25% off Cheesy
Can you confirm that these codes are not region locked?

Steam wallet codes are never region locked. You can use any Steam wallet card you want, it will be converted to your countries currency.
Just be aware that Steam currency exchange rates tends to be... questionable. They are always doing something like cut a couple of cents if you redeem it in different than dollar currency and you will have something like 14.97 Euro and you won't be able to buy anything for 14.99 euro where most of their price ranges are set.

Just sell an item for 2 cents Cheesy
But yea Steam offers currency conversion and that is your own risk. I live in the US and will gladly sell the codes and you will get $20
