2161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small assets, trade or invest? Good decision? on: November 08, 2020, 07:34:21 PM
Initially when people have no idea of trading, they just invest only in the btc or some altcoins. This will help them to make some money and then later once they know some trading as well then can trade with those profits makes by investing in the coins. So, start with investing and move on to trading.
And investing itself is a part of trading because when we talk of trading it consists of two parts.

Invest/Buy: Make sure you buy at the right time and there is scope for growth in coming time.

Divest/Sell: Sell the tokens at the right time because altcoins market is so risky and volatile that you can lose everything in greed of earning more.

Once you master these 2 skills you become a good trader so investing is not different from trading, in fact it is part of the trading.
2162  Economy / Economics / Re: This is why bitcoin HAS to go up on: November 07, 2020, 06:22:08 PM
When you are trying to revive a nations whole economy sometimes you have to take things into your hands and print money, just because governments printed money doesn't mean that they have done something wrong, it also doesn't mean that they did something right, it just means that they did something they had to do and that's it, that was the whole reason why did it because they had to and had no other choice.

I understand that bitcoin is much better compared to fiat currency but even in a world where everyone moves to bitcoin and crypto, if there is a big crash and everyone gets poor and they need money just like this pandemic period, if we couldn't print bitcoin (which we can't) that would mean a lot of people would be out of money and poor, what would have been the solution for that in a fully crypto world?

Let them starve? Give them free money from treasury? We needed this printing even if we didn't like it.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Massive Adoption on: November 07, 2020, 05:08:51 PM
Seeing giant private companies joining the cryptocurrency adoption is really something awesome. And just recently we have witnessed the announcement from several countries of their support for cryptocurrency adoption. What are your thoughts on these guys? https://crypto.co/news/crypto-news-indian-mongolian-banks-offer-crypto-services/
I can’t tell, but the one thing I know is that it is going to lead to another bull run and price might be reaching another ATH with the way it’s going now. So, the next question is what happens after that?

It’s definitely going to be another crash after it gets that high I guess. And then third question that follows is that will these giant companies be holding their assets on Bitcoin after it has reached a new ATH price and maybe shows signs dropping again? Because a lot of people will try to sell at the next ATH, many people have been waiting for a moment like this for years now.
2164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another 2017 kinda year is already around the corner on: November 06, 2020, 08:44:38 PM
We should calm down about the altcoin prices because lets be honest when Bitcoin increased to 20k it took altcoins a while to reach there but when people came to crypto world hearing about the 20k bitcoin, they realize it was too late to get involved with bitcoin and got involved with altcoins instead.

One instance I remember was "IOTA" which is nowhere to be found honestly nowadays and nobody cares about it even if it ranks well, yet those days it was such a big thing around these parts and everyone talked about how it will make us all rich, same goes with "nano" which was named something else, so at the end of the day after bitcoin big increase, there comes people who will pump altcoin prices. I see ETH specially getting affect of this, 1k+ eth price is nothing shocking in the next 6 or so months.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can IDENA price touch $1 ? on: November 06, 2020, 11:26:29 AM
Is it just me or is there like this crazy money making opportunity in idena that people are ignoring (or maybe some people are not ignoring it). It is such an obvious take that idena prices go down after the validation period. Every 2 weeks when there is validation, people get some free coins and when they get it, they directly go and sell it at anywhere they can find, even OTC if they can do it, which causes the price to go down.

However "sometimes" after the validation is done, like few days or even a week or 10 days later, the price starts to go back up, people who sold after validation already sold so its holders and buyers left mostly, this doesn't happen after each validation but it happens periodically time to time.

It means you could buy cheap after validation and sell 10 days later and keep repeating that for a profit? Is that possible?
2166  Economy / Speculation / Re: PayPal to open up network to cryptocurrencies on: November 06, 2020, 10:49:57 AM
I wonder if paypal has made any profit with bitcoin thanks to these increases as well since they got in. I don't know their system, it doesn't look like an exchange situation, which means they need to have some bitcoin in order to credit that to people and even though there are things lacking in their system like withdrawal and all, they must have some bitcoins to their names.

Considering they started fairly recently and price went up even in this quick period, I would say they probably realized this was one of the best decisions they have made regarding accepting crypto. Plus this means if paypal deals with crypto and profits, that will be a proof how awesome bitcoin can be towards other companies as well, if other huge digital companies start accepting crypto it could be really life changing for us.
2167  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt and Crypto? on: November 05, 2020, 08:46:41 PM
Bitcoin is a really good thing and every one of us here loves Bitcoin for so many reasons. But I have never for once thought that the Bitcoin will replace our currencies, nope I have never had that kind of thought, maybe I see it differently from the way other people are seeing it.

I still believe that it will gain huge adoption but not the way some people here do describe it, I just think it will become a normal thing in the online world, an asset that people are going to love, most especially because they can transact money easily without stress and within few minutes (though it can be hours sometimes).
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unacceptable attitudes from new project teams on: November 03, 2020, 04:09:21 PM
Maybe the problem is not with the team that doesn't pay the bounty but more about the bounty hunter who doesn't research everything before they get in? There are so many bounties right now in the world that you can apply to and it is obvious that not every single one of them could ever make you profit from it, if it was the case all you would have to do is apply for airdrops and bounties all day which would take maybe one hour per day and from all the money you get from them you would be living very good life without having to work for it.

Free money doesn't exist, you either work for it or get scammed about it, that is the only option you have. However if you want to make sure not to get scammed, I would say take a look at escrow before anything else, because if the money is escrowed usually they do end up paying up.

2171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos with free withdrawal fees on: October 22, 2020, 06:47:11 PM
this is really helpful we are able to know which site offers free withdrawals it seems that most of the free withdrawals comes from casino. what could be the maximum amount we can withdraw with those may i'll check it out.
There is no maximum limit actually and the bigger you withdraw the more casino appreciates because no casino wants to be paying transaction fees for small withdrawals from users. Also it is important to keep in mind that we must not misuse these casinos because if they feel like you are using the casino as a wallet and just to avoid transaction fees they might ask you an explanation and even ID proofs along with some wager maybe.

I have played at luckybit recently and they have free withdrawals and they cover fees but it is important to mention that they want you to rollover at least once the deposit you make, which is reasonable and easy as there are no minimum odds, etc rules for deposited funds rollover. Although if you claim deposit bonus there are some rules.
2172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feels like we are going ICO round 2 all over again on: October 21, 2020, 06:33:44 PM
A lot of people are comparing ICOs with DeFi hype and they are not entirely wrong because there are indeed many scam projects being made in the name of DeFi right now and there is again the same problem, there are good ones but those are in minority right now.

Look wherever finance is involved there will be opportunities and scammers both ready and it is upto us which one we invest with so just be wise and make sure the project you are looking to invest is actually a genuine project rather than just a fake bubble that will burst once they get their pocket full of money.

I was so hyped for Defi but to be honest I have to agree, this looks like ICO 2.0 so far apart from a few good ones.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies have the lowest transaction fees? on: October 21, 2020, 06:01:35 PM
There are coins with no transaction fee and transaction times 100times faster than bitcoin or other top cryptos but do you think that less transaction will make a coin superior to bitcoin?
Just because a particular coin provides better attributes in some areas doesn't mean we start comparing it with bitcoins. For example I never understood what pupose dogecoin serve but then I use them for gambling because it is easy to withdraw because confirmations are fast and deposit and the fees is negligible so I mean yeah there are good coins to avoid the transaction problem and we don't need to compare them with bitcoins for that reason.

I use dogecoins most of the time for purposed like gambling, sending micro payments or even when I pay at bitrefill I try and pay in dogecoins to avoid excessive fees and save confirmation time.
2174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: >>> Trading tips for newbi<<< on: October 20, 2020, 09:06:49 PM
This was first posted in 2017, so yes there are some that needs to be updated for you. For example it is quite important that you should not trade at some of the exchanges listed, they are not bad but they are not great anymore neither. For example, binance is much better than any of them right now. Also we are not at a bull run right now, I mean we are but we are not at a bull run, at least we are not at a bull run that was like the previous 2017 one, we are in a small one.

This is why I highly anticipate that bitcoin will be decent but not going to be like 2017 at all. Obviously at 2017 on November or so we weren't that high, didn't even crossed 10k at the time, then suddenly! we were around 20k so we can't really know if it will be like that but I think it would be close.
2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will UNISWAP become a centralized exchange? on: October 20, 2020, 06:20:21 PM
Given the latest hype news from Uniswap, is it possible that in the new management scheme there will be risks of centralization and possible absorption by big people?
For example, the Dharma Corporation may well exert pressure and control over Uniswap.
Anything can be possible, it’s just with time and things will be changing. But even if some of them decides that they are going to become centralized, there will still be others that will remain decentralized. And if any chooses to become centralized, then they are no longer a DeFi, because only that name signifies that a project is decentralized.

this is not possible because uniswap is already created to be a decentralized type of exchange  and i havent seen an decentralized exchange that turned into a centralized or a centralized exchange that turned into a decentralized but its possible that it can be bought and controlled by more influencial and powerful people because i have seen that on the past
Yes, I have not seen any that is centralized and turned out to be decentralized later. But an exchange that is centralized can decide to create another platform of theirs that’s going to be decentralized; it’s just like what Binance did by creating a platform that is DEX apart from their other main exchange that they are popularly known by.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your Worst losing streak at bitcoin dice with 1.5 payout? on: October 19, 2020, 09:05:04 PM
Using auto-bet indeed in the long run you'll see that each bets start falling, it's only good for short span if you do have good control but for sure a very unwise decision to continue using it if you are planning for long term.

Best to keep trying different strategy or if you are already busted between 3-5 losing streak  much better to rest than to try continuing and experienced same fate, losing everything inside your bankroll.
Doesn't matter if we use autobet or manual bet as long as we stop after winning we are good and if we bet for long term we are mathematically inclined to lose money as more wager means more chances of losing and you might get saved by luck a few hours maybe days but surely not months and years and hence all the gamblers who play everyday or consistently are always in loss.

Best to keep trying different strategy or if you are already busted between 3-5 losing streak  much better to rest than to try continuing and experienced same fate, losing everything inside your bankroll.
I usually try and do pre-rolls that is making zero or non significant amount of bets like 100 satoshi and once I have accumulated at least 3-4 losses then I go with my real strategy. This sounds foolish I know for many and chances of losing any bet is same regardless of the previous rolls but somewhere you have to think that law of average will come into affect.
2177  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: October 18, 2020, 10:13:48 AM
I think is bitcoin is good for paying bills because it can give you a less hassle and it very easy for me so that why I recommend bitcoin. But I think in your country  they didn't accept  bitcoin for paying bills.
That's the problem otherwise we all can use bitcoins for all bill payments.

By the way the discussion on this thread is not about bitcoin acceptance rather about the fact that been into crypto as an holder we often miss a passive income source and to pay our bills and daily needs we need a particular passive income source which helps us pay the bills.

I am been into this crypto space for years now and I can proudly say that I earn decent enough to pay almost all of my bills, some might say that I was an early investor but no I wasn't and all I have earned is by working for various ICOs and collecting so many coins for free and while some have been disastrous but a few have given me really good returns. I don't invest much but I pick an ICO and work for them all day and night with all my dedication and they usually pay good.
2178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc vs ethereum on: October 17, 2020, 10:22:14 AM
You cannot compare with the trend setter vs the projects that follow it. Ethereum and some coins are really great but they are always possible because of Bitcoins existed and gave the technology required. Yes ETH has more user cases but Bitcoins is still far superior because the value of ETH is actually looked upon into BTC and in my opinion no matter how big ETH or any altcoin becomes but they will always live in the shadow of the Bitcoins.

Yes there will be even better projects than Ethereum in coming time but Ethereum started the smart contracts idea which means no matter how big new projects come but Ethereum will remain superior to them because it set that trend similarly the whole blockchain and cryptocurrency was the trend that Bitcoins set.
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 16, 2020, 05:40:54 PM
It's too hard to become fun right now because this pandemic gives us a lot of problems and killing our joy with the sports betting for sure some of us are waiting for the basketball sports bet and also with the e-sports betting which is I prefer the defense of the ancient (Dota 2).

Few sports are accepting to continue the fight some of these are the boxing battle recently AFAIK there is a thread already created about this and I'm glad they still got and set the fight another hype for the sports bettors like me.

Hold your money and wait for another winning wage.
One thing that I bet the most during these tough times is actually esports and specially dota2 because there is some dota2 match always going on and I had zero knowledge how it works but now I have seen so much of dota2 that I recognize a few champions like spectre and morphling which usually win whichever team takes them.

I would love to bet on dota2 and league of legends even after the pandemic gets over and the sports betting market returns to the normal speed because after I bet so much on esports I realize that this is actually the future of betting and the traditional sports are good but it is just some different level of fun when betting on esports and dota2 is surely good.
2180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin sportsbook bonuses on: October 16, 2020, 04:31:36 PM
Hi, can you recomend me some good BTC sportsbook site that have welcome bonus ?
Thank you in advance.
Almost any casino in the market will give bonuses so in my opinion that should not really be the focus of your research, what you need to ask yourself is what exactly you are looking from a casino and then look for a casino that fits that criteria, then and only then you can focus on the bonus you could receive and decide in which casino to play based on that, after all what good it is if a casino is offering a huge bonus if it is a scam and you will never see your money again?

Very well said. Indeed, many good bonuses offer are being used nowadays as a bait, and many are being caught on this.
And if you are really interested with bonuses, you should first assess whether it is really beneficial or just a mere promotion.
Nonetheless, the credibility and transparency of a casino is what you should prioritise since your money is what at stake.
That is so true and that is one reason why I love stake as a casino and sportsbook because they actually have the BEST promotions and they actually benefit the customer, no wager are needed either on the winnings. I will mention a few promotions they run and my favorite ones.

NBA 14 points lead offer - I actually think this is the best offer any sportsbook has ever offered because 14 point lead and deficit is normal and a lot of times teams are behind 14 points and win so really amazing offer where if your team once has 14 points lead you already won Grin.
(That promo is now over though as NBA has ended)

UFC Split-Decision Refund - The fighter you bet on loses by the referee decision and you get your bet refunded.

I don't like welcome bonuses now as long as such cool promotions are going on and actually pay.
