2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: August 05, 2013, 02:01:30 PM
wtf why you added this scamcoin ripple? At least remove 80% of its total supply when calculating market cap because half of the coins are premined all the ripple coins are premined and 80% of them are held in the hands of ripple's scam cartel. For this to be fair you must change the total supply of bitcoins to 21 000 000!!!

edit:
Please consider taking a look at this list when adding coins to your site. If you added ripple you can as well add these:

NOT BTC ALTERNATIVE /  NEVER FULLY LAUNCHED:
(do not have bitcoin characteristics )

-MSC mastercoin- Not launchet yet, but you can buy them already. coins created by buying them with bitcoins. operates on a bitcoin blockchain.
eCash historical try for digital curency by David Chaum, operational but died. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigiCash
DigiCash was the company that made eCash . Possibly where Bitcoin came from.
Ripples XRP-  , no mining - all coins available at start 80% foundation, and 20% develeopers. centralized, not opensource. not designed to be a currency, but an IOU exchange. Very innovative and usefull, but "not an altcoin"
Amazon Coin - centralized private scrip launched by Amazon and pegged to USD, not cryptographic at all, just a name.
WEEDS never realy active and now dead
Groupcoin - still alive but never realy active
Opencoin - opensource version of digicash, opencoin.org , not launched yet
RealPay  100% coins at start, centralized, never realy launched ,site is dead
Qubic coins are produced at the rate determined by quorum of miners, not set by developers. Never launched.
Swiftcoin company operated, centralized and pegged, not opensource http://www.firstnationalbnak.com/faq
SMC smallchange functioning blockchain, but made just for research. might be a coin if reset.
-barcoin-functioning blockchain, but made just for research.

Or make another category for scamcoins on your market cap page, just don't put these beside truly original coins.

So when exactly can we celebrate that the after-bubble depression is over?
Stupid question. Of course at 1000$  Tongue

Cool video Cheesy, offtopic but I hereby speculate that Namecoin is going to skyrocket soon because its GUI is getting developers' attention and it serves a great purpose for holding shares. I'm not going to implement my own shares and dividends system for my top secret bitcoin project but instead I'm going to use namecoin protocol to serve that purpose. Let's say PROJECT_X_SHARE_001 belongs to person Y, then that person can change the bitcoin address variable related to that name and whoever pays out dividends can simply check the NMC block chain to gain the shareholders' bitcoin addresses and pay dividends accordingly. And people can trade the shares without the need for third party if they wanted. Ingenious.

2164  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 31, 2013, 07:17:27 AM
Because this thread got quite a few pSAR haters, I'm making this final post to rest my case Cheesy. Call me necromancer if you want, I think they are the coolest mage-type character class anyway. However, to speculate a little bit further, would it make sense to sell soon because we've been on a relatively long uptrend for a while now and the pSAR could soon flip again as it normally does?

2165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Over the next 4 months we will enter a new bubble, guess the top! on: July 30, 2013, 08:41:33 AM
It ain't bubble if it ain't humongous compared to previous bubbles.

30$ -> 300$ -> 3000$

But honestly I don't believe that this kind of bubble comes in next 4 months. The price will rise but will not form a bubble. How I know that? Because price of bitcoin always rises and falls only after bubbles.
2166  Economy / Speculation / Re: How bitcoin 2 will affect the price? on: July 26, 2013, 01:09:35 PM
TL:DR

does this include zerocoin protocol ?

Yes. I initially got that part wrong too. Cheesy I thought they were going to implement means for KYC support but instead they are going for the zerocoin. It's just a lot of text Cheesy
2167  Economy / Speculation / Re: How bitcoin 2 will affect the price? on: July 26, 2013, 12:43:51 PM
I would pull out my coins or convert the value of my bitcoins to some other alt coins until things settle out with bitcoin.

I don't get it - why would you sell your bitcoins in order to avoid exposure to an altcoin called Bitcoin2? Changes on the level they're proposing would be either an entirely new coin or a hard fork of the existing blockchain. They would not and could not apply to Bitcoin. You would have to choose to use whatever mechanism they'd implement to transfer bitcoins to the Bitcoin2 blockchain, no-one could force you to do so.

Well, I didn't quite get it when I first read the paper and assumed that this idea for bitcoin 2 has been spawned by the devs of Bitcoin. Mainly because zerocoin support and coloured coins are being discussed as potential further enhancements for Bitcoin. But now I understand, that this is just another scamcoin, similar to ripple in some aspects.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's with the buying panic of novacoin? on: July 26, 2013, 09:43:16 AM
According to this: http://coinmarketcap.com/
Novacoin has been really bullish during the last 7 days. Is it a bubble forming? I honestly think that NVC is just another scamcoin ( copy-paste from LTC + copy-paste from PPC ). Therefore it really bothers me that it's going up like that. Can anyone explain the phenomenon?
2169  Economy / Speculation / How bitcoin 2 will affect the price? on: July 26, 2013, 09:15:25 AM
http://www.scribd.com/doc/155504772/Bitcoin-2-Freedom-of-Transaction

So, Know Your Customer Scoring, to be more exact? Let's say All the bitcoins I currently own are gotten from mixing services because I like online anonymity. Now suddenly a wild KYC regulation appears. This means that my bitcoins become worthless? I don't want them to become worthless so I will sell them as quickly as possible when bitcoin 2 comes out. Everyone does that. Price drops as fuck. What do?

edit:
Thing that really pisses me off in this "bitcoin 2": your cold storages will be given to randomly chosen "active" bitcoin addresses to combat dead coins. Also, they want to add possibility for charge backs to bitcoin. I say bitcoin 2 is evil and can cause major disruption in the market. I would pull out my coins or convert the value of my bitcoins to some other alt coins until things settle out with bitcoin.

2172  Economy / Speculation / Re: How are you feeling this morning? on: July 15, 2013, 08:22:31 PM
I feel I might be in love. Therefore, bullish Cheesy
2173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where to invest 25,000 USD - LTC or BTC? on: July 14, 2013, 09:03:19 PM
So let me get this straight: Your distinction of a scam coin is if they are over a certain market cap or not?

No, my distinction is all coins except BTC, LTC, PPC, NMC, FRC, and DVC.

FRC is scamcoin to my understanding as it was stated somewhere that they have premined it (I'm not sure of that as a fact but demurrage is not that attractive aspect anyway)
DVC hasn't attracted me either and is a semi-scam coin.
XPM is actually novel and introduces something new to the crypto currency club.

2174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where to invest 25,000 USD - LTC or BTC? on: July 14, 2013, 05:03:23 PM
50% BTC, 30% LTC, 20%PPC

Hold for a year+.

Thank me later.

40% BTC
19% LTC
19% NMC
19% PPC

3% XPM (PrimeCoin)

2175  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 12, 2013, 08:16:14 AM
Looks like we have a third dot on parabolic SAR supporting the new trend. I sure did right to buy in at 85. Now gotta spend it fast to lock the profit Cheesy

2176  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 11, 2013, 03:08:41 PM
ok I understand some dudes desperately want to show that parabolic SAR has its failures and should therefore be dropped as an indicator for any serious trading.

And I agree, pSAR should not be taken as one and only truth. Having it combined with some other indicators is a whole new story though. All in all it seems to me that the bitcoin price is at least having a small break from the much predicted general downtrend.
2177  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 11, 2013, 01:47:36 PM
Each time BTC charts start to look more erect it gets wet dreams and premature ejaculation. Let's face it, Bitcoin is just in its puberty right now and this is what you get.
2178  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 11, 2013, 12:19:12 PM
Anyway, my point has been that market is unpredictable. This means that the thing that anyone would not predict right now is that price stays above 80$ and never falls down to 30$ as so many predict.

Let's look it that way: in 2011 there were very few people in this whole bitcoin business compared to today. Therefore it took more time for the price to find its after-crash bottom. Now the rate of just about everything bitcoin related happening out there is surely much higher than in 2011. And from here we can deduce that the after-bubble downtrend may end up sooner than in 2011.
2179  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 11, 2013, 09:41:57 AM

And we have another dot supporting the new uptrend.. It could also be only very slight uptrend, meaning that the price stays in the range of 80 - 90 for some time. If we bought in at the lower side of current Bollinger band (80$) then time to sell would be near the price of 100$ or maybe 90$ to be more realistic.

2180  Economy / Speculation / Re: TIME TO BUY! Parabolic SAR just flipped the side on: July 10, 2013, 10:56:07 PM
This is the first bounce after dropping from 110 to 65. You really think that means the downtrend is over?

Well it depends on what scale downtrend we're speaking of. I'd say we're going to see some green candles for a while. After that I have no idea what happens but if you're planning to buy some SR goods in the next couple of weeks then it seems like a good time to buy some coins to be spent soon Cheesy

What also could happen is a smack-down today in which case psar would go back where it was.

I'm not arguing that Cheesy, it's a gamble anyway.
