21681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT a currency debate! on: July 19, 2015, 06:15:44 AM
If he sells a pair of jeans for 1 bitcoin and when the customers ask for a refund due to product dissatisfaction, the customer will get back 1 bitcoin. Simple as that. How complicated could that be? the problem that arises here is the bitcoin to dollar mentality which has been engraved in our mind that whatever tangible item value has to be measured against fiat currency. If it is priced in btc then by all means it is measured in btc. You don't hear people paying for a pair of jeans in euro and when the dollar equivalent value goes up, he will ask for extra refund.

the complication arises when the shop owner wants to restock or pay taxes or pay rent, all of those are being done in fiat.
so lets assume 1BTC=$250 and the shop owner bought one pair of jeans for $250 and sells that pair to a customer for 1BTC.
after a week the bitcoin price goes up to $1000 and the customer wants refund of 1BTC then with your logic the shop keeper has to pay him $1000 as the matter of fact.

guys lets discuss and find out what will be the most profitable and the highest profit yelding method to earn bitcoon...
it maybe needed investments or maybe not but lets calculate both situations and see what is most profitable..like we all know signature campaings and mining is the best option in nowdays to earn a good profit but I rather think about using some skills too ..
like I have some skills like web developing..communication skills..and so on some important skills so how much can I earn and how?

since you are saying that you have skills, the best way to earn bitcoin for you is to offer them in the services section. open up a new topic and write down whatever skills you have and all the jobs that you are interested in, people who need your skills can contact you that way.

also you can always check the same section for people who need your skills too.

also there is this subreddit called Jobs4Bitcoins that might interest you, there is the same hiring / for hire thing going on there too.
21683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are? When will you stop and withdrawn? on: July 19, 2015, 05:34:42 AM
hmm. i have a lot of Doge at the moment and i don't plan on selling them either.

where exactly is a good dice site to gamble my stash there?

Normally all the gambling sites give the same percentage of wining. Even those which offer less change their mind after a while because lose people. So trying in every of those it is the same. Chose one and play !!! Even I don't advise to gamble. Better to try another way to play or to earn.

thanks for the cliché response! Smiley

but the part that you cut out of my post was my question, i want somewhere good that accepts DogeCoin instead of bitcoin for gambling.
i knew a poker site that accepted Doge some time ago but i am looking for Dice for this now.

Considering making it open source so if you don't trust it feel free to wait and see what happens.

what programming language is your bot written in?
i have been messing around with programming for some time now and i am very interested in using the source code if you have considered making it open source.
21685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much BTC have you gambled? (anonymous on: July 19, 2015, 05:17:06 AM
i haven't lost a lot in gambling maybe because i try to keep in minimum and also i bet very carefully with good odds of winning, but anyways i have to say it was under 1BTC lost in total/

p.s. interesting result that shows most of the bitcoin gambles have lost < 1BTC i would have expected more percentage on around 10BTC lost to be honest.
21686  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OMG!!! i won 543 BTC - AT Primedice.com ohhhh sh*********t Wooooooowww!! on: July 19, 2015, 05:11:41 AM
i feel so sorry for you because you don't know the first thing about gambling.

whenever you gamble there is a chance (whether high or low it is there) than you can lose.

also everybody knows that you should always gamble what you can afford to lose and not get a loan to gamble and lose your life ....
21687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are? When will you stop and withdrawn? on: July 18, 2015, 10:39:26 AM
I'm lately greedy with doges, I reach an high amount from low ones(just because I'm careless), and then I start betting like if I'm in the atmosphere... and bust.

hmm. i have a lot of Doge at the moment and i don't plan on selling them either.

where exactly is a good dice site to gamble my stash there?
21688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make Bitcoin transactions untraceable? on: July 18, 2015, 10:35:34 AM
Did i get something wrong? i thought Xapo is a third-party wallet provider, too.

The bitmixer might be the right option for you but if you don't want to the third party involvement, check out Xapo.

you are right. but since you deposit in your address but withdrawal comes from another (or a bunch of) address(es) it can be used to mix the coins but you have to register on XAPO and give your personal information which defeats the purpose!
21689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP THIS MONERO SPAM NOW on: July 18, 2015, 10:31:39 AM
the amount of spam about Monero is getting out of hand , in the first page of Altcoin Discussion is currently 15 topics spamming about Monero , and funny thing is that most of them are brand new accounts Cheesy
21690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do Newbies (or Anyone) Enjoy Paid Bitcoin Tasks? on: July 18, 2015, 09:15:11 AM
As part of the research I'm undertaking for my soon-to-be launched faucet, I'd like to know:

Do you regularly visit PTC sites or task sites which pay out in Bitcoin?

Message me if you want some simple tasks to do!

i have tried almost all the methods to earn money (bitcoin) online.

so far using faucets is at the bottom of the list sorted by amount earned Smiley
very close to that is PTC sites and after that is all the task offering systems like croudflower .

all PTC and faucets and any other sort of earning similar to those require mass advertising by the user in order to get a lot of referrals which help him earn a little more.
as for tasks , the time it takes to complete them doesn't come close to the amount they pay in return.
21691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 18, 2015, 09:09:10 AM
this is what i think:

is it possible to earn 1BTC every week through trading altcoin?
YES

is there anyone really making that much?
YES, and there are people who are making way more than that every week

can i do it too?
YES

is it possible to do it like what OP says?
you probably would lose more money than you can earn every week from trading if you are just buying a low price coin in the hope that it goes up! even if it has the daily volume that OP is mentioning.

@GreenStox
with all this said, i am very interested to see your history of buying altcoins at <100 and selling them for 1215% returns. with some pictures.
21692  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lets improve betting strategy on: July 18, 2015, 08:43:05 AM
I know that but I think that this stratagy can work good if you just modify it a little..and that's true that nobody knows that when martangle stratgy will hit you but if we followed the reverse way then i can see a safe side there

i don't think there is any difference in winning between using martingale or reverse (anti) martingale method in gambling. they are both a losing method of gambling.
but it is very interesting to see how it worked.

p.s. you should move this topic to the gambling section.
21693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream Adoption on: July 18, 2015, 08:35:39 AM
Hey guys,

It's been dawning on me for some time that there is one thing that businesses must hate.. credit card fees. So with this in mind why is mainstream adoption taking so long! We're not saying invalidate fiat currency and only accept BTC or Alt-coin but businesses don't seem to want to touch it?

What do you guys think the real issue is? Education among consumers and businesses? Volatile BTC price?

Tully

IMO it can have a couple of reasons:

the most important one is the volatility, nobody wants to spend something that can worth a lot more tomorrow. and nobody feels right accepting something that can worth a lot less tomorrow.
the solution for this is dumping bitcoin for fiat as soon as received, but this is an extra step while they can accept cash in the first place.

the other thing is that bitcoin is not mass adopted by users. so even if a business starts accepting bitcoin there aren't many people who know about it let alone willing to use bitcoin.
21694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cloudmining VS Investments(trading) on: July 18, 2015, 08:25:41 AM
today i got very confused and irritaded with some questions...like what will be better or we should say which is more risky..i check today some of the cloudmining sites and bought some hashes in each actually in three site ..cex.io , scrypt.cc and bit-x..
but i am not confused because when i checked the mining calculaters then the  true faces are shown to me..
at First the shock i got is from the bit-x site..
Code:
when i opened the calculator..so it was showing 100ghash as default..i changed it with 35ghash and so i hit the calculate buttion but then i found that i will earn..about 13000-15000satoshi every day but then i thought about the mantainence fees and got that it was higher than my daily earning....so that clearly means it only accept the higher investments
after that i thought that maybe if i can avoid the mantainence fee then maybe i can make profit..
so then i visited scrypt.cc (its a less scured and less trustul with deposits as because it is usually getting hacked..)
Code:
i deposited 0.052btc and bought some khash...i got about 13020khash .so i went to calculator..and typed and increased the khash amount until i reached 1btc then i saw that its paying 0.007btc if i buy 1btc worth of khash...that means 0.7% everyday
and so on i tryed the other site too...
now after all lot of things like this i am thinking why we invest in cloudmining when we can trade and can make more than 1% daily and that is much safer from these things at least we will have control on owr coins

very nice job of explaining with including numbers.

i try to compare cloudmining with altcoin trading (investment) with pros and cons from my own experience to add to what you say

1. cloudmining.
pros:
  • you don't need any skills to earn from cloudmining
  • you don't need to spend any time at all to earn money, you can sit back and everyday get back your profit from investment
  • the risk is minimal (granted the service is legit)
cons:
  • a legitimate non ponzi cloudmining service is hard to come by
  • the profit is very small
  • you are trusting another person / company with your money

2. trading
pros:
  • you can earn a lot of money by trading, in altcoin market there are 2x-3x returns common every day
  • you don't have to trust anybody else with your money and it is in your control
  • as long as you use strong password plus 2FA on your exchanger and they don't get (allegedly Cheesy) hacked your money is safe
cons:
  • it is hard! and needs experience
  • you cannot just sit back and earn profit, you have to do a lot of work for it
  • it has very high risk
  • the last pros(?) can be a con too, you are putting your bitcoin on another person's hands after all
21695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fixes a Greek problem – but not the Greek debt problem on: July 18, 2015, 07:51:23 AM
well, bitcoin can not solve the government debt issues , and all those increased visitors that everyone is reporting is just the people who desperately are trying to save up some money in a different form and maybe get some profit on top of it.
21696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can i block translactions under 0.0001 fee? on: July 18, 2015, 07:35:53 AM

I dont know about coinbase,i need a fast wallet that works good with gambling sites

It is very easy to learn about coinbase. And it is more easy to be part of it. I sent you a pm. There you have the link to register to coinbase. Easy thing. Then try if this wallet works with gambling sites (should work) using a small amount of bitcoins. That's all. Enjoy !!!

be careful when using Coinbase account for gambling.

here is what coinbase is saying:

....Coinbase is a regulated Money Service Business under the FinCEN division of the U.S. Treasury Department and as such, we are required to review accounts in order to ensure compliance with regulations.
Gambling is illegal under US law even if you live outside of the US we cannot provide services to your account for the purpose of any type of gambling activity.

reddit post of someone getting screwed!

always do some research: https://www.google.com/search?q=coinbase+gambling
21697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Citicoin on: July 18, 2015, 07:29:00 AM
She basically explains it nicely Smiley
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdIOrMYWBIY

  • What do you think with all the mass media can they be better than bitcoin?
  • Would you invest in citicoin?

i can't watch the video right now but from what i have read about citicoin before it was my understanding that it is not like any cryptocurrency that you and i can buy / sell or invest in.
the bank financial group working on it said that we are going to use it to have faster and more secure transactions.
besides banks aren't going to make anything that is decentralized like bitcoin that lets you seperate yourself from needing banks in the first place.
21698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your last purchase with bitcoin? on: July 18, 2015, 07:18:17 AM
We run an online market place for Android TV Boxes. We have recently began to accept bitcoin, however the purchases through this method have been minimal.

Our wonder is, if bitcoin is truly being used as a currency or not. If so, what did you last purchase with your bitcoin?

bitcoin is not yet the currency that is being used widely. i feel like that it is more like an investment rather than a currency or payment method. but this doesn't mean that it is not being used my many people for payment either.

i think you should advertise your website on bitcoin related sites, for example you can create an announcement topic here in bitcointalk services section and place the link on your website too.
this way your services will be seen by bitcoin users too and if any of them are using a similar service with cash, most probably they will be interested in your services with bitcoin.
21699  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: July 18, 2015, 07:12:58 AM
then what is the point of having bitcoin if you just hold on to it?!!
it is like saying i am not going to touch my salary and hold on to it and starve to death!

you either have bitcoin to spend like any other currency to buy stuff, or you have invested in bitcoin to sell it at a higher price and get a nice profit. with spending not being easy and not a lot of places to spend it the second is the case. so you have to sell at some point!
If you want buy a stuff, then why you need to convert all your money into bitcoin? imo its easier to use fiat to buy stuffs nowadays, especially for people who living in rare bitcoin shop country. Just separate your money for cost living with money for investment.

this is not true in 100% of situations.
i agree that now it is easier to buy stuff with fiat and don't bother using bitcoin. it is much easier to use fiat and for some countries it is the only way. and as i said it is more like an investment and as i said in my comment you should not just hold (hodl!!) you have to spend it sometime.

but at the same time bitcoin is a much better way of spending money online for example for somebody who can't or don't want to use paypal / credit cards then bitcoin becomes the best way.
also if you want to send money to long distances for example to another country, it is the fastest, easiest and cheapest way you can find which can be the most secure way too.
