2181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get a loan with out a license on: February 12, 2016, 06:33:57 AM
Ihave a social security card my mothers maiden name my tax documents from the last year and a credit score of 798 but I can't seem to find anyone willing to give me a loan with the documents I have. Do any of you have any recommendations for websites I can go to for loans with the information I have.

Being a newbie on this forum with one post only cannot quarantine you a loan. I would advice you familiarize yourself and also participate actively so that you can qualify for a loan in the future. I would also suggest the peer to peer Bitcoin lending platforms. You might be lucky to get one there. Good luck

Being a newbie if you go into loan area your account will be shredded apart.  You will be surprised how quick negative feedback come.  You have to understand it looks kinda funny you join a forum and first thing to do out of all the possibilities is get a loan.

What is loan for? Why are you not just going to a normal place of loan such as bank?

Also when you say you do not have license it makes you appear as possible scammer with someones info the "recommendations for websites I can go to for loans with the information I have." part of it just seems odd.  Normally you would have some sort of government ID..... unless you are stealing someones identity.

being a newbie is not the reason for the negative trust you know.
the reason for negative trust is not reading the rules (the sticky posts on top of lending section). which means they ask for loan without providing collateral first.

you can be a brand new account and provide a valid collateral and get a loan without a single problem. valid collateral is not just bitcointalk accounts, you can provide an altcoin like LTC or a lot of other stuff that lenders might agree upon.

I know but how often does this happen vs a newbie account asking for unsecured loan?   I have not been watching as close but I am guessing it is still overwhelming on amount of newbie that ask for loan without collateral. Just like this one it screams almost identity theft.

I will be honest I don't get some of the loan's.   But I'm sure your right a few do get good loans.
2182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper Wallets on: February 12, 2016, 06:13:31 AM
Also be careful what place you consider safe.  Some might look at safe's that truly are not safe.  Here is a interesting video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApJQ2wcYjBo (this video will scare some that thought they had a good place with some safes).

Basically cheap part's allow some safes to be opened via strong magnet.  And it's not a bad looking safe if you went out and spent 250 or so on a safe you would think it would be stronger then this.... but not all safes are.  I really suggest safty deposit box if your storing a lot of coins.

2184  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can't connect avalon 6 miners to the pool. on: February 12, 2016, 05:58:37 AM
Do you have multiple of the USB adapters?   You should with 10.  Try just splitting it into 2 sets of 5 and see what happens.  You should have 2 usb adapters on your RPI.  And you can use a cheap unpowered hub if you want more.

I wish I could find it off hand but I could not in quick search.  There is a picture somewhere where they show how to split it up on chains.  I know i have seen it but  my searching skills failed me tonight.

If splitting it in 2 does not work start by checking one by one.   It won't take two long.   Just plug the miner via usb adapter with 1 cable.  Go through and check each cable.  After if you know all cables work start trying each miner and see if that does it.  So 10 cables, and then 10 A6's.

Let us know how it goes.
2185  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: vartual person that really do hardware Mining. on: February 12, 2016, 05:46:35 AM
hey is here any virtual person which do bitcoin mining by his own hardware.i need them help about everything in mining.
like purchasing hardware,setup hardware,electricity cost,safty...etc
thanks

You really need to do some research.  Asking someone to do all of this really takes it away from you on learning.  Sounds like you know what you need to learn... start looking on forums.

You should enjoy researching it and learning it.  If you don't I highly suggest not getting into the game.  Most of the time someone comes in asking all of this they end up not investing in the end in almost all cases.
2186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Efficient USB miners on: February 12, 2016, 05:43:07 AM
Thats unfortunate, but I kind of expected that. What about cloud mining services like hashnest? Does anyone have any experience with these?

About cloudmining: Most services I have seen are scams at some point. I would strongly recommend to stay away from cloudmining. Either you invest in a modern high effective miner but only if your electricity costs are super low. 0.10$ is already too high, especially you have to keep in mind that the reward is going to half in summer.

The one exception to that can be when it doubles as heating. One winter my electric bill went up by less than my heating bill dropped while using an Antminer S1 and some other stuff. Studio apartment, gas heating. Antminer and the other stuff was enough to keep the furnace off a fair bit.

My winter bill was so high they had to split it into multiple payments....  turns out mine if I pay credit card they max out at a certain number.  I'm usually 2-3 payments even with fee's I'm better off as I get reward points.  Might be a small bonus... but a little bit of rewards.  With living on a crop farm they don't have any trouble with high usage as far as the electric company.

I don't use mine for heating though.  I have a mining area that the goal is to get the heat out of it.

Are you possibly a troll of someone?   Or a alt of someone in sig campaign?

You just ask a lot of questions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=593481;sa=showPosts .  Like 15 day's ago you were set on cloud.  Now you show up with no research and ask for hardware advice?

Bitwisdom:
Bitcoin Difficulty:    144,116,447,847
Estimated Next Difficulty:    180,590,959,452 (+25.31%)
Adjust time:    After 1178 Blocks, About 6.8 days
Hashrate(?):    1,276,123,147 GH/s

1/4 change in difficulty in one change possibly.  Wow is that number above scary to me.   I don't want to see anything close to there.

Price still hanging a little under 380... so still are not getting the bump in price we really need.  Something has to happen I think, I'm just not sure what will it will be. I think it will be huge in a good or bad way.  Not sure which way it will go yet.

Well bitmaintech is still holding 23000 plus coins make it 24000

https://blockchain.info/address/1KwA4fS4uVuCNjCtMivE7m5ATbv93UZg8V

they knew to hold coins as soon as diff sky rocketed .  I think they are making a play to  have more hash power then anyone

and also push btc price over 650 btc then dump.

What does holding coins have to do with the difficulty skyrocketing? I just don't understand what they are trying to do by holding coins and not withdrawing.

If they knew this they could be betting on a rise in bitcoin price.  Bitcoin price really needs to go up to match difficulty jumps.  We have not got it yet, but we hope we do.  If they knew in advance there would be 20+ jumps they might hold coins hoping for a bump in price before selling.

So I think it makes it appear they knew these jumps were coming.  At least is what I get out of it.
2190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper Wallets on: February 12, 2016, 01:59:52 AM
Paper wallets are highly secure. This can be used to retain your account when you have lost everything due to some file corruption. The process behind the paper wallet system also very simple.

Hardware wallets can be highly secure aswell.  Keep in mind when you do one most give you seeds to put on pater and store safely (I prefer safety deposit box).

On paper wallets make sure computer is secure, and not compromised. Also he older and dumber the printer the better.  If a new printer look how to reset cache to get rid of paper wallet in cache of printer.  Paper wallets can be very secure but you have to make it in a secure way.
2191  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online Bitcoin wallet ? on: February 12, 2016, 01:42:33 AM
Xapo is the best i think, not for many bitcoins but for small and daily transactions its the best, because it has no fees on transactions.
But for me xapo is the worst online wallet for me i can't login there fast after 2 factor authentic they send the code to my number but it take long time to receive your verification code.. its better to use coinbase or blockchain as online wallet than that wallet..

I never used coincase, i know blockchain is quite faster then xapo but it has fees on transactions, i think blockchain charges 0.0001 btc for each transaction and that is too much if you keep sending bitcoins everyday.

The only reason Xapo makes sense is if you do faucets with it.  That is only reason to really go there I think.  And those doing faucets... look at your time your getting paid cents per hour's in most cases.

Blockchain is the number 1 used hot wallet.  It has a HUGE following.  But people need to treat it like a hotwallet, don't put all your eggs in one basket.  It should be a daily spend amount in it.

certainly not true for bit-x and hashnest, they are proven to be legit

then if you can not reach roi, that's another story, but has nothign to do with being scammer or not

If they were talking to you it could be to do with signature of "(up to 152% bonus market regulated)".  It makes it sound like a big profit... some might say that is misleading to put up to.   That it would be more realistic to put your average return...

So not everyone is innocent.  Things such as when you buy hash from most genuine cloud mining services do not use "up to" or other unrealistic words.  Look at hashnest you will see what honest looks like.

Made shorter much smaller ... was a long post look above to see it.

Your talking you have .31 BTC invested over payout.  You have paid out around 12 percent of invested if I read it right.  Does that sound horrible?  I think so.  But maybe I'm reading it wrong.
2193  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: S7? LOL on: February 12, 2016, 01:13:25 AM
*shortned again way to long of set of quotes

You are not pushing hard then.   I go back to GPU day's and I would push mine hard as GPU companies had amazing RMA policy's  back then.  I was about making as much as possible, and granted a few times I pushed to far... puff of smoke.  But overall I gained more doing this as I was pushing all my rigs.

The thing today about GPU's is you just don't make enough off of them to ROI.  You are going to have to sell to get money back. You might make a small profit but you will not make ROI these day's GPU mining.

Huhh, so i would push them hard actually and they would crash. No damage done, lower clock by 5mhz step until it stop crashing. I keep them at 65-75C, i never had a problem. Sound to me like the GPU's VRM must of overheated. Happens if the heatsink doesnt cool them down.

It was not overheat trust me.  I remember one GPU as soon as I set it up on intensity to high... instant smoke out of cap on it.   I kept them all cool so was not a issue there, but I pushed them hard.

It was directly related to intensity of GPU settings.   They might have made it harder to do now I have not kept up with mining with GPU software, I'm would guess it has changed some in past few years.  I had all the proper risers to get more space and spread them out, there was great cooling.  So no issues on heat did not cheap out when making the rigs back then.

Well i remember in the Scrypt era, i heard a few people break their GPU's, but when i did tests myself, my 280x would do 745Kh/s and if i took diff from 13 to 18, they would work insanely high, get 765Kh/s but pool side there would be not that much of a difference.

Imo i dont think a 2% speed difference thats not even fully effective is worth doing high intensity vs low. Certainly not worth the downtime of having to RMA Gpus.
But thats just me i guess.

You say it was due to temperature, you did not even know it could happen due to intensity.  Then you turn into a expert again.   When you say your 280x are you saying you mined during it with 1 GPU?   You have to understand 1 GPU compared to many rigs is like apples and oranges.

Also different brand 280x and models got different speeds, had different best settings.  There was not a 280x setting that was for all. You act like a 280x is one single item. Different ones preformed different there all brands/models did not get same speed. Look back and you will see this.  Look at RMA's back then it was common if you had a sizable amount to have do them.   It's not that you wanted to it was a cost of doing business.

The best question is why let this go further?  There is no point to argue GPU mining from years ago.

2195  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Halving will happen in about 7 days on: February 12, 2016, 12:55:04 AM
So ...

In about 7 days (today is Feb. 11th 2016) we'll see a next difficulty re-target, probably with approx. +25%.

The last seven re-targets were 9+18+11+9+6+20+25 (including the next one) which brings us to approx. +100%.

That is, Bitcoin mining profit will be halved compared to just November 2015. Price in November 2015 was just about the same as now is (approx $400).

This is a nice market and mining indicator. My prediction is that the reward halving, coming this summer will most probably have no significant effect on mining difficulty nor the prices. Sure diif will probably swing up and down a bit, prices as well (mostly because of media attention) but nothing big. The "halving" is happening all the time  Undecided

Just my 5 cents Wink

Basically the miners who mined and did not stop I think benefited.  A lot of us got really low changes in difficulty for a while, and it was a pretty great time for miners. But a lot of us mined were very lucky to keep mining during that period it feels like looking at current difficulty changes.

Now fast forward to today's mining it's hurting so much hash each difficulty period. It is scary as heck we can get 40+ percent change in two difficulty periods.  I think we need either a big jump in price or some old miners to come off network.  And if we keep getting these jumps I think all the old A1's and some other miners even at cheap electricity will be stopped at a point.   But it's hard to say as someone or multiple people are adding a ton of hash.
2196  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: WTH BTC Jumped 20.06%. Is this a fricking Trend? on: February 12, 2016, 12:48:31 AM
I would just love to know where all this hashrate is coming from?!?!?!?
How is it possible to deploy multi PH farms in a matter of a week / days???
How is it possible to even build hardware this quickly?!?!

Seriously WTF?!

Its extremely disappointing!

Well, I just run a couple SP20's now for heating my place ... if you're a home miner at this point ur strictly doing it as a hobby or on stolen power rofl!
Buying any new hardware for a home miner is never gonna ROI unless price skyrockets which most likely wont happen anytime soon.... if ever...

Scrypt mining w/ an effecient ASIC is where its at now for the home miner. Theres still a really good profit margin when mining w/ either a Titan or gridseeds(forgot their new name) hardware.

Lastly, when the halving comes, many large farms are gonna see a massive rude awakening ... either price is gonna double(doubtful and it already has taken into account the last couple months price movement) or farms are gonna shut down(more likely) .... but most likely its gonna be a combination of both. Like LTC's recent halving.
Also, the reason I think the price has already adjusted(nearly) is because it doubled from the low 200's we were at for these last couple months ... which is EXACTLY what happened w/ LTC's halving, a month or 2 prior to the halving its price saw a really large bubble ( $1.50 -> $10 ) ... then the halving hit and the price eventually settled to $3(double what it was for a year or more) ... hashrate has barely budged.

Of course, I understand what happened w/ LTC doesnt predict what will happen for BTC halving, but its a very similar trend thus far.

as to your above on the titan miners its true.....BUT without some kinda price rise (BTC with LTC tagging along or something) when SUMMER or I should say 'heat' comes
I am beyond screwed....on PAPER it should work ...but it is one thing to have 2 titans at 2500 watts heating your house and a reduced winter electric rate from 13.7c kwh
to 0.0966c kwh so again ...the price better pop before such....or even us Titan owners are gonna be scratching our heads about how far to take home miners

but yeah we are killing it this winter ..but soon heat will be a problem and the increase in electric...so these prices for BTC and LTC can't hold for home miners for sure

but likely some data halls are gonna be facing the same issues at these prices (esp btc with difficulty rise) even if doing scyrpt or LTC due to same summer heat issues

just saying ...I see a cliff ahead of sorts...and no 'price bridge' in sight and still running at a full gallop ...all very exciting till the sudden stop! Smiley

Anyway just to put the above from a guy running 2 Titans as a perspective so to speak

The problem is they have these two chips with no new news.   They took a BIG task doing 2 chips at the same time instead of one.  I would have focused on A3 (btc chip) as it is biggest seller most likely and do A4 later.

We still have a lot we just don't know and Bitfury seems to have a huge jump on next gen.   Guess we will see what happens But I don't think Innsilicon is one of the companies adding hash right now, but I could be wrong.

I would say common sense has a huge part to do with it.  Ask yourself does return sound to good to be true? Does item sound to cheap to be really sold at that?

Just by using common sense you can avoid most scams.   Also escrow when not known really is a great tool.   Should not be afraid to use escrow.  That is perhaps the best advice you can give is about it.

you have to blame the man, merely some sort of basis of Article?!
only the court will determine whether he is guilty or not.
or at least, is the official confirmation of the arrest the same person?

The article would have to be wrong for him to not be blamed it states "Bhardwaj has confessed to having sent Sheikh bitcoins equivalent to more than Rs 30 lakh in the past four-five months. The police also recovered cash totalling Rs 8 lakh from Bhardwaj's house.""

If he confessed he is not innocent.   So article would have to have a massive mistake for him to be innocent.   You don't confess normally if innocent.

That's if you can make 100 posts on every single one of those 100 accounts Smiley

Good luck with that, mate. You've also forgotten that there's an activity cap of +14 a fortnight.

Okay so 240 days of posting 100 posts on 100 acconts would still equate to $1500 a week in 8.5 months roughly

No, 10000 posts a day are still 7 posts per minute if you dont sleep. You will not have enough material to keep them constructive and get banned.

My math says there are around 10080 minutes per week.  So you would have to have good post's that are constructive within a minute..... easier then it sounds on most constructive posts.  And you could never sleep.

Still though you find me someone who can find even 1/2 of that with key word being "constructive posts" I would be surprised.   Even 1/10th of amount you mention you would have to push hard. 1000 a week.... maybe possible but your talking about more time then I can imagine to make constructive posts.  I think it more likely would be in the hundreds for constructive.

But someone might be able to surprise me.  I just don't see 1000 a week happening being realistic.
