A month ago, Theymos asked us to use the report button to see if french local boards need a new or another moderator(s). OK, I started to report because good topics are flooded by spam/scam etc... Now see my report accuracy :  WOW 100% ! Impressive ! Am I such a good "reporter" ? I don't think so, because there is a big problem : ~60% of my reports are not processed (and I'm not the only one to notice this). I reported only in french local boards. How long do I have to keep reporting messages to hope things move ? Your accuracy wont be effected until they're handled / marked as bad. As for how long you should report that is up to you. I've told theymos several times that certain boards need additional moderation and there's nothing else I can do. |

It's not true, he comes a few minutes online every 2 or 3 days and randomly handle the reports.
As you said, he random handle reports. Nice job, all my report have been approved but NONE have been delete. I see lots of your reports still in the cue. Only one has seemingly been handled recently and the rest haven't so they have yet to be approved. But the guy comes but doesn't do anything, I guess it's just his way to say "hello". We were even suspecting him to click the "good report" without doing anything, just to make people thinking he is doing something
When you report a post it gets added to your report count but that doesn't mean it has been handled. It's likely that the reports just haven't been handled yet. I can only see two of your French reports have been handled recently but lots of your English ones have so maybe that's where you're getting confused. |

2-3 minutes x hundreds if not thousands of reports soon adds up. Then add to that the slowness of the forum which makes handling certain reports very tedious and time-consuming. Most local board mods are likely swamped and reports just keep piling up making the situation worse. I've messaged theymos several times that a few of the local boards need additional moderation but that's something only he can initiate. |

I've been telling theymos the Chinese board is badly under-staffed as Horserider is barely active and it's been taken over by bots for going on two years now but I never get a response. All you can do is either keep reporting them or give up.

I've sent multiple messages to both cyrus and theymos about your account and numerous others but if they don't respond or look into it then there's nothing you or anyone can do about it. This is stupid situation. In fact the forum bitcointalk.org is responsible for exposing my mail adress and password from database because the forum was hacked back days. Now wehn i want to get back my account no one seems to give a Fk. This shows how owner of the forum is responsible for people losses. Because i was not the only one that was hacked and my password was exposed to the world. My passes are used seperated to each forum, mail, accounts etc. so i am protected but i think others was not so lucky... So i think a response from the admin would be advisable in this situation... I will mention that the account which has been hacked is used against my will which violates my rights. The forum can't really be blamed for the hack as that was something outside of the admin's control and was the fault of the hosting provider if anyone was to blame, and the passwords that were leaked were encrypted fairly well but many were eventually broken. Emails were sent out that all users should chnage them and those that did were fine. I agree that the rate accounts are getting restored is unacceptable and more man power should be put onto restoring accounts but that's something only theymos can initiate. |

Report the others. What does it have to do with bitcoin? If you're not transacting with bitcoin in some way then it doesn't belong in the Marketplace. Those sorts of threads should just be trashed in my opinion because they're just pure spamfests propagated by bounty hunters.
I remember reporting each topic one by one some months ago, it still here. Such as? There's only one report in the cue from you and it doesn't have anything to do with this. |

Yes, you should continue to report them and those will be handled, but only admins can check for others and there likely will be more of them, possibly hundreds. |

One solution would be to restrict thread starting outside the beginners board. It could be restricted to members and above.
Meta would need to be allowed for the ban appeals.
I've suggested something similar before. Newbies should be allowed in Beginners and Help as well. I really don't think lower ranks should be able to create threads in Politics and Society and Off Topic or maybe even post in there at all until they've hit a required rank because they're just breeding grounds for people who can't speak English very well or know nothing about bitcoin to spam a load of crap in there almost exclusively until they rank up. I know the merit system was implemented to stop this but there still should be restrictions on who can post what where to stop a certain amount of spam. The main Bitcoin sub is mostly unusable to discuss anything of value because it's just swamped by low value trash being constantly bumped to the top. |
