I think its probably because of his timezone and that of the forum time, I have a reason to believe his is from Bangladesh and the time their is actually five to six hours ahead of the time here so he might have posted it at the actually date of the celebration which is the 22 of may. But notwithstanding, its all part of the celebration and that first transaction that Laszlo did with bitcoin actually marked and pave the way for many more transaction with bitcoin till date and its has certainly been a milestone since that first recorded purchase @13 years and counting . I am not sure how regular your friend was in there but big spenders that come back regularly probably have some credit in some physical casinos where you can even get to know the staff. I know that there's a team following big spenders and it just serves casino's interest to give them credit so they keep on playing. As they know they are good for it later. Then there's obviously credit card i can use, but regular guys would be laughed out from the casino if they started to ask about loan for gambling. I think thats exactly the way most physical casino over here in my region actually operate and I believe it to be a general thing because if a customer keeps patronizing a casino and he well known on his huge spending, the staff and the management, I think will probably allow him to play on credit because he sure contributes a certain percent to the growth of the casino and he is guaranteed to pay since he alway plays in that casino but denying him can lure him to another casino and will result to a potential loss for the casino. |

In this scenario, I will not accept the father's decision; the fact that he got his money via hard labor does not automatically imply that all of his children should follow in his footsteps. I believe that everyone has their own destiny, and that God can choose to bless anyone in whatever way he sees fit, and that this could be God's method of blessing the son.
Aside from the fact that it is almost impossible for the son to return the money to the gambling company the father should take the money because it is not illegal money; if it were, I would have supported the father, but since it is not, I'm afraid I'd have to congratulate the son.
Well it might not be illegal from your own view and perspective but like zlantann said some religious actually see this act as an ill act and its probably not welcome by them and if the father is a Muslim then I think his reason for rejecting the money justifies his claim but thats if the son is in a stage where he can't decide for himself because possessing such money can even make the son disown the father if its calls for it because money always come with a spirit that changes or amplifies someone character. |

Life is rather full of surprises and its nice to actually hear someone actually saying some truth about holding your coins. Like I said life is full of surprises and you never know what might hit you next that might require you to actually sell off some of coins which is not a bad thing I presume but this notion of selling your coins is actually seen by many members here as some kind of abomination but the truth is no matter the level of investment or savings one is into there is actually a time that can possibly require you to temper with those coins or savings as that is the whole sequence of life.
Even though it is possible for such things to happen, of course we must remember that when we are and want to sell, it is clearly still very permissible. It's just that we must know that the conditions for selling must clearly be more than what we bought before. I will still emphasize like that because indeed our goal to invest is certainly about profit and why sell when we are still losing and just throwing away what you have. On the other hand, this is the importance of financial management isn't it? because of course we realize that Investment is only a small portion of the money we have or we set aside and that's what we should still emphasize because regardless of anything we still have to save unexpected funds as one of the conditions to minimize events that are not really expected. and when it happens even though we don't expect it, but we still have money that can be allocated to patch or minimize it so that we don't interfere with the investment we do, especially if it hasn't met the desired target. So in order words you are saying that one should actually save money for the unexpected events that might occur in our life's so as to free us from tempering with our bitcoin investment or any other investment? Well I think thats not a bad idea but I don't think anyone actually save for the unexpected or Atleast my savings is actually for such purpose because money spent to tackle my problem is actually welcome for me as a money well spent because the problems are bound to come but it will be worse if there is actually no funds to handle it or lead to you borrowing from others. |

Everyone tends to be writing in favour of Manchester City to easily defeat Inter Milan and win the UEFA Champions League title this season and that's understandably because of of the current form of Manchester City. Just like yesterday, City played against Chelsea with their second XI and still beat Chelsea.
But Inter Milan is one club that I think shouldn't be underated despite the current statistics of who's better in performance because if properly analysed, one could see that they weren't even favoured to reach the final but some they made it to the final and that's why I think Inter might just pull a surprise at the final
I understand the angle you are coming from but lemme be frank with you, I did bet on that match and it was a W1 straight win for Manchester City. I hate them for humiliating Real Madrid in Semi Final but I wouldn't allow emotion to over crowd my judgement that Inter will win Manchester City, they have come a long way to lose this match to Inter Milan. If they do lose this match which I believe 90% they wouldn't, Pep would be sack and if they do sack him, nobody wil have any sympathy about that beccause if they have the strategy to elimiante Real Madrid, Inter should be there list worry not taking this Cup. Well I wouldn't know about sacking pep guardiola even if they lost that match. No doubt Manchester city and the players will be greatly affected if they lost but c'mon man its football every thing and anything is possible as nobody even expected them to lose that finals to Chelsea who were not as strong as them that year and thats the same fate with this finals also as inter Milan is no match to compete with them but their is a possibility that inter might and if they do win I think Manchester city will just have to handle it with good fate and hope to win another but I also doubt them losing this final game. |

HISTORICAL EVENT Today being may 22nd marks 13 years since the famous bitcoiner Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10000 BTC for two papa John's pizza which was delivered to him and looking at that same figure today records a whooping sum of 268000000k $ in today's market price cap. Funny enough this historical event is marked as a symbol in the crypto world today so am using this medium to remind everyone in the forum about this Wonderful event that happened 13years ago @ may 22nd 2010. Sevilla is the Queen of Europa League and whenever they reached the finals , they won it but this time they are facing As Roma.
AsRoma of Mourinho , a masterclass in defense and I'm afraid Sevilla won't beat Roma this time and this will only solidify the name of Mourinho as probably the best coach ever and also the first one to win Conference League and then Europa League and imagine if he leaves Roma and goes to Real and win UCL with them in 3 consecutive years getting 3 European trophies...it's just insane to think about it but the first two of them are already completed so we just need a move from him back to Real this summer.

You are absolutely correct, sir. Both in Bitcoin and other investments, when they remain unprofitable for a very long time, the investor might feel uncomfortable about them. But when it concerns someone who has different financial sources of income, they can only have that pressure for a short time, but after the thoughts slide off their mind, they get occupied with other sources that are generating income for them. Well I guess this is true, because the first time I actually got into the crypto space and started my investment journey it was like I was a watchman on the market price cap and I couldn't just get my eyes off the price to know if my investment is actually going the right way or sideways. But I feel this is not solely attributed to me not having investment in different place, I think the newbie syndrome also contributed to this behavior but after I was properly grounded on bitcoin volatility I knew it was common and the bear and the dip no longer scared me again. Lack of knowledge is like a disease that kill faster than even a pandemic disease. I can say that most people investing in Bitcoin are handling it in such a way that price volatility during the bear market really makes them so uncomfortable, probably because Bitcoin is just where they have all their investments. Personally, I think it is wrong to just have one source of income, particularly internet-related. One can invest in bitcoin and other physical assets.
Well having a diversified investment or source of income is probably the best option of a strong business man and veteran investor because this will increase your chances of getting more profits and reduce the effect of to be enquired when you have all your investment in one place. |

Even if Manchester City choose to play with their second team, they will still be able to win Chelsea. Chelsea is not a team that can stand Manchester City as it is. That's why Pep Guardiola find it worth while to rest Kelvin De Bruyne and Haaland since they have already won the premier league and also in the finals of champions league. Rest their key players will do them good for the champion league match against Inter.
What Chelsea need is a good coach that utilize their players in a better way not more players in additions to the ones they have. There no reports of Chelsea moving to sign Neymar into the team.
I have to give it to Pep Gardiola and Manchester City for a job well done. Congratulations to them on winning the English premier league and it is well deserved. One of their treble trophy target has been achieved, now their focus would be turned to FA cup and UEFA champions league. City played it's second 11 team and won against the struggling Chelsea side. I just hope we're going to see a brand new version and rejuvenated Chelsea next season because this particular Chelsea has finished. 😄 I definety agree, if Chelsea were to continue like this into the next season of the English premiere league, I think they would probably be a contender for the relegated teams down below in the championship league. Although it is quite clear that the club faced a lot of challenges from the selling of the club to a new owner to the injury stride that struck the team but with that I still count their performance extremely poor for a top team of their standard. |

I don't know what's going on with Arsenal now, they seem to have no more enthusiasm to continue their mission, they have lost everything in the final seconds of the season. Arsenal are nothing now, they don't even have a threat in the game. This was very unexpected, how could the former leader of the standings lose to a team that was almost in the relegation zone? At first, I thought that in the previous match when Arsenal was beaten by Brighton, I thought it was just a coincidence because everyone knows that Brighton is a team that can always be a threat to big teams, but after seeing his defeat against Nottingham Forest now I am even more convinced that Arteta has lost everything. Next, Arsenal will have the last two matches towards the end of the season, namely against Wolves and Manchester United, let's see if Arsenal really loses or bounce back by winning matches and securing full points. Think on the bright side and they have done their best for the title race this season. In the end, Arsenal had to admit that Manchester City's dominance in the Premier League was really difficult to prevent and what disappointed me the most was that Liverpool couldn't compete strictly this season. For today's match I don't see anything strange about the main squad of Manchester City being rested by Pep Guardiola. Manchester City's second tier players will compete for 90 minutes in the celebration of Manchester City's victory for the 3rd Premier League title in 3 consecutive seasons. Wins and losses are no longer important for Manchester City, but a win is expected to maintain its best season record. Man City's performance this season is very good, they have become very strong this season. I don't see any team beating Manchester City this season. Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has made his team a very strong team. But the champion League final match will be with Inter Milan, I am sure Manchester City will win this champion League trophy. Because it is not possible for Inter Milan to beat Manchester City this season. So I can definitely predict that Manchester City will win the champion League final match.
Guardiola is extraordinary for being able to bring Manchester city to several successful matches without being beaten in any league even if it is the champions league which is able to qualify for the final round which will compete against Inter milan.
I agree with you if Manchester city can get this champion's league trophy and I hope there will be no penalty shoot-out in the final later. Price of bitcoin is very hard task to find out but as we see from the past that price has cross 30k$ in recent year so now its lower at some extent, this activity of price shows that anything can happen with the value of bitcoin and we are not sure about the real value in future. We have strong hopes that one day bitcoin will reach to 100k$ but we don't know and cannot predict the day or the year or enhancement to reach the value of 100k$. As we know that coming year will be a halving year so there is a possibility to reach the maximum price but lots of people will get the benefit so there is also a chances to go down after selling by most of the people.
$30k is easy on some years but it started to get hard during the bear run, luckily we manage to acquire it this year (it was on April 11 to be exact) $30k is not the highest so it was not totally surprising to some of us. Bitcoin has no real value because it is too unstable. Any new price recorded to it will just drop again after some time but its instability is also the reason on why it can make new highs because people can invest in bigger volume once the price declines heavily. $100k is not the maximum value for bitcoin but this one looks hard to achieve because we haven't been close to it. All we got last bull run was only $69k. $30k gap is kinda big though.I don't think $100k is a hard target for bitcoin, we had the closest ATH of $69k and just over $30k to hit it, that's very easy. But everything takes time and process for us to get there, we can't expect bitcoin to hit $100k or more without any correction. If bitcoin grows vertically to $100k, it won't be in our favor if we don't have bitcoins in our wallet. So bitcoin's drop is a good thing when we have time to buy it. Bitcoin went from $3k to $69k during last season's bull cycle, so it shouldn't be too hard to hit $100k in the coming years. Funny enough am also an evangelist who preaches and prays for the bitcoin market price to drop drastically because it will give more time to accumulate coins in my wallet, sometimes I had wish I was there during the early days and had such faith as of now about bitcoin price volatility by now I would have made sure my portfolio will be looking good but despite all that has happened am still very happy that I found out now because with patience I can still gather enough through DCA so unlike everyone am never in a hurry for the price to rise, I am very with the slow moving trend. |

How you go take serious a man who all he did to become president was to rig the election. We have seen government promises on lots of things and they never came through on it. We have had a fail economy in the country and I am sorry to say if the president elect still remains there after court proceedings then there is no hope.
Literally all that would be done is fake promises like this they would never materialized so make we all tell ourselves the truth the country needs a change.
My broda I can understand your reasons to be so specific on your take with government promises, but like there is a saying we can't actually judge a book by its cover, I know it's quite clear that he rigged the election but that does not mean he won't work to his best although our previous government have all failed when its comes to administrative works during their time in the seat as president but the cause of these problems shouldn't only be blamed on the number citizen of the country because to say the truth today we Nigerians and I mean all of us are the problem of this great country, we tend to divide the country through religious problem and blame it all in one person when actually everyone has a fair share of the cause. |

Well for me I just thought it was some kind of get rich scheme that always turns bad for its members as I never actually had a right notion to what bitcoin actually was, well you couldn't blame me though as my neighborhood was filled with so many scheme of such that left people regretting for ever trying such things and ever since I got proper education on bitcoin in this community, I have also tried to share it to my colleague but same old barrier that I was facing was edging between them and this wonderful initiative and it alway feels like a wasted effort for me. |

Gamblers don't need to blame anybody but themselves because it's not a random thing that you find yourself at the gambling place except that you get there wanting to win more money than you currently have. We know that often will not be the case because most of the people going there are just donating their money for some entertainment if more people win the place will be closed sooner or later but the reality is the contrary and if the man can't handle the heat in the kitchen, he better get out. But most of them choose to stay and will not gonna leave until they no longer have anything in them which will gonna turn into a disaster later. If they cannot get out of it, it will turn into an addiction and eventually lead to more serious matters such as the OP's post.
It should be so but some blame others instead of themselves. They think that they are gambling because they asked them to. And when they lose playing gambling, they don't stop but keep playing gambling and in the end, they still lose. And slowly, without realizing it, they become addicted to gambling without anyone knowing it, even they don't know about it. It will be difficult for people like that to win gambling games because when they win, they don't stop but keep playing gambling until they finally lose. Even someone encourages you to play. It's still your decision to make, not getting that point of blaming someone for your mistake and trying to hide that addictions inside you and divert the attention to other people. The point here is the money you use when you still have it. All the control is in your hands even someone asks you to play gambling you can easily say no if you wanted to as it is your hard-earned money. But most of those who love pointing things to other people are the one who can't accept that they are already addicted or possibly to get addicted. Indeed, all control is in our hands but when the urge to gamble gets stronger, we can be powerless to say no to our friends. At first, we decide to only gamble with a little money but after a while, we don't realize that we have used a lot of money. And that condition will be exacerbated by the defeats we experience, which will make us even more eager to recover from those losses and say this is the last time I gamble. But that doesn't really make us stop gambling because we can come back to the casino another time and gamble again. We will not blame our friends for inviting us to gamble at that time because we have gambled alone and not with our friends. A gambler can get invited by his friends and then he can learn how to play and at one point he ignores the rules and can be addicted there and may blaming that friend that is not acceptable because the gambler just invited by this friend but everything have done by himself. Moreover, even if the gambler was lost by his friend's advice, that friend should not be blamed. Because in gambling loss or defeat are the common factor. Those who are just blaming by the defeat they have no proper idea about gambling. Well if you understand human beings to a certain level then you will know that its actually normal for them to constantly put blames on something or someone else as the cause of their problems which is almost the same case with some gamblers who tend to blame others for their defeat like this case of a friend inviting you and giving you opinion on what to gamble on and you took the suggestion and in so lost everything, its still not that persons fault because an opinion can still be ignored but you yourself choose to yield to it and it went bad for you why then should you complain and blame anyone. |
