2182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $450 - $500 means many of us are now even or ahead on: December 15, 2015, 07:57:48 AM
Some of my friends were early believers of Bitcoin and they bought when it was around $50. A while after they bought, they persuaded me to buy as well, I managed to buy at $100, so I could sell now and make some profit, but I am going to wait for the price to go higher.
2183  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cheapest Bitcoin VPS hosting list on: December 15, 2015, 07:55:51 AM
there are more cheapest vps, i have a good list if someone want, start from $2 and even lower in some case, also you can pay in bitcoin

7 per month is definitely expensive unless this is windows, but it doesn not look like it is...

Actually. It just shows that now Bitcoin is really getting integrated into the community. I love to see this kind of stuff. Also, can you pm the link.
2184  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Forum DDoS Attacks, why are they done? on: December 15, 2015, 05:04:15 AM
Really. There was a ddos attack on this forum, when? And by the way, I don't think anyone in the world has the power to take down google.
2185  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator who works for china banned me 5 days in this forum on: December 15, 2015, 04:58:20 AM
The moderators on this forum aren't that stupid. They aren't going to ban you for the reasons you stayed. You were probably posting some random garbage.
2186  Economy / Economics / Re: How does rising BTC prices affect the loan market? on: December 15, 2015, 04:55:00 AM
I do some P2P lending and with the recent uptick in Bitcoin price something crossed my mind, how does this affect the rate of payback? Logically, anyone who uses the coin to convert to cash is going to have a harder time to pay it back. Of course, the opposite can be said for times where the price goes down.

My fear is that the price is going to go up now and this puts my loans at risk for default. Anyone have experience with this?

I think this depends greatly on the reputation of the borrower. It helps to communicate with the person you're lending money to and offer to make a deal if the price rises tremendously.
It would be even better to mention this before making the loan, rules for what happens if the price rises.

Exactly. It also depends if the borrower is trustworthy or not. You just have to choose who you give loans to wisely. If you do this, there is a lower amount of risk.
2187  Economy / Economics / Re: How does rising BTC prices affect the loan market? on: December 15, 2015, 04:52:04 AM
I don't really see how the price of Bitcoin effects bitcoin loans. I'm pretty sure that most people will charge the same amount of interest, regardless of the price.

Credit to: Tax News : Asia could lose their passports for unpaid taxes

Quote
The eight million Americans living overseas, including In Hong Kong and the rest of Asia, should “ensure their financial affairs are in order and compliant” before the New Year, or face having their passports revoked, warns the boss of one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory organizations.

Nigel Green, founder and CEO of deVere Group, which has 80,000 mainly expatriate clients globally, is speaking out after it has been reported that Congress is preparing to bring in a law to take passports from Americans who owe tax. It is likely to pass into law in December and come into effect on January 1.

Watch out guys  Sad

hey your subject and the article are not matching, your subject is asia could lose their passports for unpaid taxes, but in the reply it is written that AMERICANS IN HONG KONG ASIA COULD LOSE THEIR PASSPORTS FOR UNPAID TAXES,

i think the subject should have been "AMERICANS IN HONG KONG ASIA COULD LOSE THEIR PASSPORTS FOR UNPAID TAXES"

KINDLY NOTE THE MISTAKE, dont just post for signature campaign post counting

It looks like you are the one posting for your signature campaign. Just respond to his/her topic instead of correcting them. Or you could just correct them at the end of your response.
2189  Economy / Economics / Re: Asia could lose their passports for unpaid taxes on: December 15, 2015, 04:45:38 AM
Wow the this seems like a big crisis waiting to happen. Those Americans better get their act together before anything bad happens.
2190  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 15, 2015, 04:40:04 AM
I've made it into a habit to buy Bitcoin at the beginning of every month, part of it I invest into cloud mining, I save a bit in an armory cold storage wallet and I gamble a bit with what's left over.
This is now the second year in total that I've been doing this. Smiley

Do you do this regardless of the price of Bitcoin? As in, will you still buy if the price is high.
2191  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 15, 2015, 04:37:57 AM
I'm pretty sure that no one buys bitcoin on a schedule. I, along with most smart people, buy bitcoin when we think the price is as low as it is going to get.
2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Satoshi Nakamoto" shedding some light on Bitcoin on: December 15, 2015, 04:33:07 AM
Anyone could have done this and it seems pretty fair.

For the last 9 years many people have been wondering about the rising of Bitcoin.
i never knew that bitcoin had been around for 9 years , I thought it was made in 2009. This reddit thing seems pretty fake to me.
2193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the easiest way to give btc as a gift? on: December 15, 2015, 03:16:02 AM
you can create a wallet for them, then give the id and password to them

or just exchange it into fiat currency then transfer to them, or easier just buy it online and ship it to them

Oh yeah, I forgot about that way. But then you would have to use your own email, make a new email or juts know your friends email that hasn't already been used. Which is a bit more of a hassle compared to printing out a QR code.
2194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the easiest way to give btc as a gift? on: December 15, 2015, 02:36:24 AM
The easiest way is to give whoever you want to, a paper wallet with a QR code on it. Or you can just find out their address and send some Bitcoin to them.
2195  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 15, 2015, 02:34:02 AM
I would invest 1/4 of it in btc, and 1/4 in stocks. I'm still not totally convinced btc will bring me a forturne, so this is a safe way.

What would you spend the rest on?
2196  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 15, 2015, 02:24:23 AM
10,000 in Bitcoin and save the rest to invest.

So you wouldn't do anything else with your money. Like pay off your mortgage or buy a new PC or buy a nice car. You are a weird guy.

Also the type of guy who can't do math...

-----

I would say that I would split it about 50/50. Worth the risk but I wouldn't like to set my self straight such as finishing paying off the house and student loans, ect.

I'm pretty sure you're the one who can't do maths. He said he would put 10,000 Bitcoin, which is around 4,000,000 dollars. Oh...now I get it. He ment 10,000 dollars into Bitcoin and invest the rest. This still doesn't mean I can't do maths.

I would buy around $300,000 worth of Bitcoin and then use the rest to pay off my house and buy a nice car. I would live like a king, figuratively of course.
2199  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: December 14, 2015, 08:26:02 PM
bitcoin has afftected my life a lot not only positively but also negetively.thats because there was a time when i use to walk run and even jump like a monkey with friends and all the outdoor stuffs but after getting involve in this bitcoin thing i am spending most of my time either coding or learning new programming languages or earnin btcs for somewhere . should i lower spending my time in internet or not and is there anyone who is facing this type of addiction here

It's good to see you notice the problem yourself, instead of from influences from outside. Since you know the problem it is time to thing about a way to cure it.
Going out, have a social life is quite important, so try to spend your time more efficient. This way you can benefit from both Wink

Admitting that you have a problem is the first step to getting over it. Now that you have done that you can continue your journey to less bitcoin.

You just need to find the right balance in your life. I am also addicted to bitcoin, but I still hang out with my friends.
