2181  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINEX.PW Withdraw Problems on: April 07, 2014, 10:43:59 AM
CoinEx is definitely suspicious at this moment in time. I have left negative feedback on the two people who run CoinEx until this is resolved, their account URLs are https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=114495 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=120370 for reference.
2182  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ACCUSATION: artw1982 on: April 07, 2014, 10:40:23 AM
The reason artw1982 is giving as an excuse to both not reply to you and give DannyHamilton negative reputation is ridiculous. Left negative feedback on artw1982 until resolution, I hope you can get this resolved.
2183  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BitAds.net and BitVegas.net on: April 07, 2014, 10:36:59 AM
Ha, we should really get a gathering of all the old BitVegas players ;p
2184  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cointelegraph.com the newest spam service on: April 07, 2014, 10:25:54 AM
This is a scam. I replied to their request and this is what I got:

In parallel if you have an idea for an exclusive article dedicated to crypto-currencies or a press release for some of your upcoming events, or anything else for that matter, we are ready to publish it as a leading story on the front page including all addition information: your full name, short bio, your company, website, blog, etc.

Using this information they can claim your MtGox coins once filing claims starts.

Do not provide them with this information! "Maria Jones" is just some Russian model hired by scammers.

Very clever, aha. They executed terribly and now they'll get nothing, however.
2185  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: April 06, 2014, 03:48:10 PM
Right now just consider TF to have dropped off the radar i.e fucked off with your cash. The account is most likely hacked or sold.
2186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old are you, dedicated Bitcoin forum user? Comparison from 2011 to 2014 on: April 06, 2014, 02:34:09 PM
1-20. Next generation adoption is always a good thing Wink
2187  Economy / Gambling / Re: memtingale simulator online on: April 06, 2014, 02:04:43 PM
Omg teach me how to memtingale!!! I want to be rich like you!!! Tongue

Im hoping this will help people AVOID martingaling not encourage it, still if you do, do so only with amounts you feel safe losing.

Yeah, I don't think I'm ever going to try martingaling again after I lost something like 1.5 BTC to roulette when BTC was over $1000 each. You win a bit and then you end up losing it all.

2189  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BitAds.net and BitVegas.net on: April 06, 2014, 01:34:03 PM
BitVegas isn't/wasn't broke. We/they had enough to keep going for a while.

Indeed, they made a LOT of BTC off of people such as mLiberty Tongue
Yups. A lot.

And let's not forget Mr. CloakedSpartan *cough* me *cough* Tongue
2190  Bitcoin / Project Development / The return of DiscussBitcoin! on: April 06, 2014, 01:32:48 PM
I closed DiscussBitcoin.org a while ago due to various (undisclosed due to security issues, some were quite major) issues. However DiscussBitcoin still has resources to run for at least half a year longer without more donations, so I would like to bring back the forum.

However I would first like to ask the opinions of those interested in DiscussBitcoin. I would like answers to the following questions:

- How should donation funds be handled? (The whitepaper I originally posted for DB is now disregarded)
- What software should be used?
- What forum boards should we have?
- Bitcoin only? Or all Cryptocurrencies?

I also will welcome all other suggestions. Also, I would like to recruit some people who can help with maintenance of the forums (who can provide assistance if needed for things such as errors). However you will not be given a staff rank just for this, although you will be recognized with a Forum Developer tag. Anyway, go ahead and suggest! This thread is self-moderated as I would like this thread to be purely about DiscussBitcoin and suggestions for it - any negativity can go to my PM box, not here.
2191  Economy / Games and rounds / [EDU] Exercise caution with "Games of Trust" on: April 06, 2014, 01:26:37 PM
The vast majority of these Games of Trust are made by newbies who want to make a quick buck off of the stupidity of another newbie. I also discourage older members to make these, whether they want to prove trust or not, as it makes themselves actually seem more untrustworthy.

In general, if someone is offering you something but wants you to send them something first, >90% of the time it is a scam. This is an extremely old scamming tactic.

2193  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: April 06, 2014, 12:03:53 PM
I wouldn't even be mad then, that would be fucking impressive!
It already is.
Remember people kept using Coinlenders after it was "closed down, all fictional, just a demo".
Basically he said "hi I've stolen your money, will you allow me to keep it?" and most said "yes".

Yep. This really should've been a sign for people to step out, immediately when this happened I took my 1 BTC out, he kept 0.05BTC as a fee, but I'm glad I did, rather 0.05 BTC than 1 BTC.

Mhmm, I agree. Once he did this everything just started to get more and more sketchy.
2194  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for .022 BTC loan, will payback Monday! on: April 06, 2014, 11:47:44 AM
Dude went dark right after he got the loan ROFL

Omg really!?! I did didn't see that coming at all, the loaner is so stupid unlucky...

2196  Economy / Lending / Re: Need .060 loan, will repay .067 on Saturday on: April 06, 2014, 10:49:03 AM
I think Kouye should reevaluate J603's trust rating. It's been a while since that initial negative rating, and while it may have been applicable at the time, there doesn't appear to be any ongoing reason that it should remain.

This is true. I think after this period of time it should either be removed or given a reason to remain.
2197  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitbond.net – Bitcoin P2P debt instruments on: April 06, 2014, 08:44:29 AM
Seems interesting. Is it similar to what TF had going on?

No, I believe this was (is) supposed to be a peer-to-peer method of lending like BTCJam, but we all know the problems that arise with that.
2198  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Game of Trust: send me 0.1 btc and receive 0.15 btc back on: April 06, 2014, 08:42:31 AM

2199  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GorillaBitBattle.com *free .1 to .3 microBitcoin every win* or wager for more! on: April 06, 2014, 08:16:07 AM
I like this, it's quite an interesting concept, and it looks like the house edge is dependent on how bad the player is - if they always miss then the house will always profit Tongue
2200  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Ice-Dice.com] 0.5mBTC Automatic Giveaway! on: April 06, 2014, 08:13:55 AM
Someone lock this, newbies are just spammin' - this hasn't worked for a very long time now.
