First: Seems fishy. Even though you state you couldn't have explained it to your boss, who in their right mind would start accepting a virtual currency, probably never known to him, that fluxuates without permission? I'm not dissing Bitcoin, I think it's wonderful, but without proper planning it's stupid.

Second: If you are telling the truth, would the government be able to crack down on a Bitcoin-only Taxi? Especially if you use a mixer.

Third: How would you have exchanged BTC in a taxi? They must have been pretty Bitcoin-knowledgable to utilise something such as QR Code Bitcoin Notes, because i'm pretty sure you wouldn't have had a laptop with BitPay on 24/7.

Tell us the full story, or take matters into your own hands. It seems fabricated, or you are hiding something.

I used the mtgox mobile app and calculated the  price in btc.

There is a button "Transfer"  this generates a QR code and other people can scan it and send a payment. But must customers were just buying bitcoins. I gave them a paper wallet from  https://www.bitaddress.org/

I see, but can you answer my first question?

4003  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] [Starting from 0.1 BTC] 4,000 YouTube views on: December 04, 2012, 05:30:31 PM
Auction ends tomorrow.

(3 days from start)
4004  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] [Starting from 0.1 BTC] 4,000 YouTube views on: December 04, 2012, 07:18:47 AM
How are these views generated? I know it's a bot, but hopefully one that diversifies its ip address so as to disguise it as more legitimate views? Also, how long does this process take to generate the full 4k? And can the views be distributed over a couple of videos instead of just 1?

Barrage of questions, and a 0.1 starting bid for fun!
Each view is from a different IP address.

To generate full 4k, expect a 1 day or 2 day wait.

They can be distributed over multiple vids, however this may prevent you from getting the full amount.

Highest Bidder: witherworth with BTC0.1
4005  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FOUND!!! Hunt the Genesis Rock to earn a free Bitcoin. FOUND!!! on: December 04, 2012, 07:12:45 AM
I'm ready to resolve this now. I have 2.9090909 BTC residing in this wallet: 1EWRJ5BeibZxMguujPLzqM8WWiHpFJtLLx

I just funded it because I didn't want to take funds out of an investment wallet.

I'm splitting it up equally between DiamondCardz, because he had to wait, and ildubbioso for coming in second, deciding not to have a second contest just for him, even though I promised a 2 BTC if he could find another rock I would have submitted an image of. I would have done some creative editing to make it very difficult for him to find, thus wasting too much of his time. I feel it best to end this contest this way, hoping to satisfy all concerns. I hope I accomplished that.

I have DC's address and will be PM'ing Ildubbioso for his.

Thanks, all, for playing. Possibly, we'll do this again.

~Bruno K~

Thanks very much! Smiley

4011  Bitcoin / Project Development / So I'm attempting to make a private bitcoin faucet... on: December 01, 2012, 11:47:00 PM
It's only for the members of this site I really like. It will be funded by ads, the usual.

I've got all the coding done, but I have one last question - where can I get decent, free hosting that will allow users to submit data by filling out a short form, then have the data placed into an .asp file?

And I may expand this if it works out Wink

Also - if this is in the wrong forum, please move it. Sorry, couldn't see a good forum for this, so I chose service discussion D:

4013  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 years from now will you still mine? on: December 01, 2012, 01:54:25 PM
I only really mine using my horrible computer to do what I can to help bitcoin - i'll never really get anything out of it. My BitMinter balance is incredibly low, I pull in something like 200 khash/sec. I wish these so called "Puddinpop" pools still existed. >.<

The answer to that, depends on the price of electricity. Probably not, by then there will be ASIC's and 200 khash/sec will be even more so insignificant.
