2181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad advices regarding Bitcoin on: May 02, 2021, 05:22:20 AM
What is the worst piece of advice you've received since you first began dealing with crypto? Mine was to take pictures of my wallet seeds with my phone so I don’t lose them.

In the last bull run, i got advises to hold the altcoins for long term duration. I held few altcoins throughout the bear market and they always dump and never reach their all time high again. So i learnt my lesson is not to hold low volume altcoins for long term. Only hold Bitcoin and ethereum for long term duration.

it's because the altcoins you hold don't have good fundamentals, if you trade on binance, even if they have low volume, they will go up in times of trend, such as events, airdrop burn etc. It greatly affects the price, I'm sure many people save altcoins with their fundamental predictions.

Even the coins with good fundamentals were down to earth. In 2017, the ethereum price reached 1000$ but in next three years it went down to around 250$. So even holding ethereum in the year 2018 - 2020 was painful if you have bought it in 2017 price. Many people would have sold in loss as not everyone can hold the coins with losses.
2182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 02, 2021, 05:02:00 AM
At this start of this year, there was a lot of hype about how high the price of bitcoin will get, some speculated that btc will set a new ATH of $100k before the first half of the year is over, others before the first quarter of the year.
This However has not been the case. We just passed the first quarter of the year and btc has not even gotten to $70k yet. Do you still think $100k is still possible before the first half of the year?

If you have been in 2017 bull market, you would have known that the bitcoin move parabolic in last months of the bull market and the highest gains are achieved right at the end of the bull market. Currently bitcoin is moving exactly as per predication and you will be surprised to see a 70K-90K increase in the value of bitcoin in Sep-Dec 2021 which may take bitcoin on over 150,000$.
2183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla and market manipulation crime on: May 02, 2021, 04:52:51 AM
What Tesla did with bitcoin could be considered market manipulation, and that's a serious crime considered by the US government. The fact that the company invested $1.5B and make it public that bring a lot of investors to bitcoin, and after that, we see how bitcoin has a crazy jump in the prize, and now they sold the 10% when bitcoin was on its ATH.

As a reference, I will leave this link: https://www.fbi.gov/scams-and-safety/common-scams-and-crimes/market-manipulation-pump-and-dump-fraud

So, the question is, did tesla make market manipulation and you think the company will be charged for it?

Was there any legal requirement and agreement that Tesla will not sell their bitcoin holdings ? I guess No.
So if they sell 10% of the holdings at all time high or sold all of their holdings, no one can charge them for this action. Tesla is a money making organization and hence they can make money by buying selling bitcoin holdings, although morally it is not good.

2185  Economy / Speculation / Re: How risky do you feel investing in Bitcoin is in this point of time? on: May 02, 2021, 04:15:58 AM
Just want to see a general consensus of how risky investing in Bitcoin here is in this point of time.  Me? I feel it's on the verge of being hardly risky at all.  So my answer is a little risky.   I know, controversial poll but oh well.
If depends upon for long long you want to invest in bitcoin. If you want to invest for short term, it may be risky to buy bitcoin over 57K now as bitcoin is near its resistance and may dump from here. On the other hand if you want to invest in bitcoin for a long period of 2- 4 years, then you can buy bitcoin now at any price and you would still be in a good profit after few years.
2186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: May 02, 2021, 04:00:35 AM
It is difficult and it does not depend on all of us, as long as we always research and understand the signals of rise and fall. if lucky gains will come and losses will be little to gain,

Depending on luck alone in trading is not a good way, to taking profit on trading, we should learn some basic analysis techniques.
But if we don't want to bother learn that, we can just invest on the coin/token that we trust, and hold them until the project successfully enter the top market.

Mostly people face two types of problem in trading. Either they do not take profit when the coin reaches it ultimate top and keep on hoping that it will move further up or they take profit too early ans miss the chance to gain more profits. In both of the cases, if you learn technical analysis you will be in a better position to take the profit at right time.
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many project SCAMS - PLEASE CAREFUL on: May 02, 2021, 03:46:05 AM
Scam is inevitable what matters is how you protect urself and your assets out there in the crypto space. Doing enough researchs about the said projects is key. Though sometimes it still fails. But then we have to be hopeful.
It's true, scams can't be avoided by anyone because scammers are always making new ways to trap everyone in the crypto space, so it's clear in this case that everyone must be good at protecting themselves so they don't get caught in a scam path.

One way to stop being trapped by the scam is to stop being greedy. Most of the times its the greed due to which we take interest in the offers which are not realistic ones. If an project is offering you a lot of free money/token and in return asking for your keys, then beware that it would be a scam.
2188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Uniswap (UNI) good for investment? on: May 01, 2021, 11:20:29 PM
I believe in Uniswap. Uniswap coin has great potential. This is probably the best DEX platform at the moment + they have good news, soon May 5  Uniswap V3 ,  launch  Mainnet , with a scalable optimism L2 deployment set to follow soon after.

Usually the coin pumps before the event and dumps near or on the event date. Since there are only 3 days left in the launch of Uniswap V3, i wonder if the pump due to the news is already over ? I will not invest in uniswap now and will wait for the dump near /after 5 may and then take my long term position in uniswap.
2189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Huge Selfdrop List for Free BSC Tokens on: May 01, 2021, 11:06:41 PM
For those who might not know, a "selfdrop" is very similar to an "airdrop" but without all of the required tasks. Instead of doing tasks for free tokens, you simply send 0 BNB (smart chain) to the contract address and will then instantly receive your tokens (you must pay the gas fees).

I would like to know that the tokens which you have earned in the form of "selfdrop" are any worth in terms of dollars ?
Are they tradable at platforms like pancakeswap etc and do they have enough liquidity ?
2190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling my ETH wallet with about $200 worth of tokens inside, offers welcome on: May 01, 2021, 10:56:44 PM
Can you tell us the public Ethereum address here so that we can know which tokens are held in your wallet and what is their worth ?
Does it also contain some ethereum, so that we can move the coins to some other wallet. It will not be wise to keep the funds in the same wallet because you will continue to have access to its private key even if you sell it .

1. It's the address on his profile, but the value of the KICK tokens has even dropped to less than $200.  - https://etherscan.io/address/0xaf6a321d63745bdf777fc308130245992dbbc9c8

2. The address has little Ether that can not be enough for the transaction fees.

3. Ideally use of Escrow would be good and of course sweeping off the tokens to a new wallet once the buy is offered the address' private keys.

Not only it has Kick token but also there are Dent token in this address too and total amount is equal to 330$.

I am interested to know in how much amount he is willing to sell this address ?

2192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is dogecoin suitable for kids? on: May 01, 2021, 06:26:29 PM
I am thinking to teach my 8 yr old daughter about crypto. But past history riddled with illicit activity so I was thinking to open her a just dogecoin wallet and have her to learn to use it. Do you think it is suitable? Anyone done this? Or any risk?

Thanks.,

Yes, it is one of the good idea if you can open a dogecoin account for your kid and transfer some dogecoin to her. Since the price of dogecoin is cheap, even if she loses that money, it won't hurt you much. Secondly, she will get to know about crypto and it will help her a lot in the future.
2193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: April 30, 2021, 09:13:24 AM
Just sold 5% of my Bitcoin that I've been holding for 3 years and I feel satisfied doing so.

Many people will say that you sold a bit too early but don't listen to them. If you are happy selling some of your bitcoin then its good for you. Also if it is first time you sold the bitcoin, you would have experience a much faster experience as compare to the fiat transactions.
2194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: April 29, 2021, 03:07:35 PM
alot good fundamental in crypto market now, recently jp morgan that allowed their customer to buy bitcoin . as we know this company always said bitcoin was a fraud, and looks like they buy the recent dip and make statement to create hype again . we never know when this movement will ended. but so far bitcoin could survive when every fud come.

The fundamentals of the bitcoin are too strong that even the fud cannot make the bitcoin price dump for long duration. We have seen that as soon as bitcoin is dump it got bought up very quickly. There is so much demand for bitcoin and i think this may cause the bull market to extend a lot further this time.
2195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wrong? on: April 29, 2021, 02:34:19 PM
Since Gates last appreciation regarding crypto back in 2018 when he said that he would short BTC if there was and easy way to do it, Bill Gates recently described Bitcoin as a mania/bubble so he is still pessimistic, while others like Elon Musk have revealed that they believe not only BTC could rise exponentially in value.

Who's right? Let's discuss.

Why would we make our decision based upon the view point of Bill Gates  or Elon Musk ? We don't need to know who is wrong and who is right. Also most of the times their statements are made to move the market in their direction. If they want to pump the bitcoin, they will speak in fovor of it and if they want to dump it, they will speak against it.
2196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid been carried away, it's never going to be bullish forever on: April 25, 2021, 08:44:55 AM
Take profit! Take profit!! You've been warned, do not end up like many in 2017 bullish cycle, there is always a end to everything and nothing goes up forever, everything happening in this world is merely time based, I'm not saying BTC can't go to 65k or more but this market is getting more dangerous every day, to me crypto market is now in gamble state, don't be a tool to those who are experts in controlling the masses, you think there aren't those pulling the string? Wake up already.. we don't know how longer they will keep pulling the string and roll you over, be smart

No matter how many times you tell people to take profit, they wont take profit. The reason for this is that people are greedy, they think that the bull run will not be over till bitcoin reaches 300,000$, so they do not want to sell at this time and miss out of big gains.
2197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: starting my own altcoin ??? on: April 25, 2021, 08:41:17 AM
hi i wanted to create my own altcoin . i had some questions  help to where do i start from ??
what do i do where i can gain knowalge about how create own coin ?? what do i need learn >>??
i know python only i dont have any idea about solidity language  but i wanted to learn this language //
is it good idea to have own coin  >>>Huh
( no rugpull and rekt )

Creating an altcoin is not difficult at all but the more difficult thing is it make it valuable so that people are interested in buying that altcoin.
You should ask yourself why you need to create an altcoin, the purpose behind it and what will be project behind that coin which is unique ?
For sure, you will not want to create another shitcoin as there are thousands of them already.
2198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give reasons why ETH is better than BSC on: April 25, 2021, 08:21:23 AM
I've been a fan of ethereum for a while but for now I'm sure BSC will be the future of crypto. Although ethereum is still the first, I feel that ethereum has been stuck for a while, especially with the problem of very expensive gas cost.

Why do you only care about the gas fee and do not consider the security. The ethereum blockchain is very much secure as compare to binance smart chain.
People think that they will use pancakeswap over uniswap to save the fee but they forget that within last month pancakeswap was comprised.  Sad
2199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on TV? on: April 25, 2021, 07:31:44 AM
Do you think Bitcoin will be promoted across TV sometime in the future? If not, why? What do you think will happen after Bitcoin is marketed across major TV networks? Will it boost mainstream adoption? Or will it have no effect whatsoever? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Internet and social media have taken over the TV era. It will not have much effect in bitcoin is introduced on national TV. What more important is that bitcoin should be known to everyone and social media is the best place to spread the knowledge.

Another thing to consider is that TV is mostly watched by elderly people while social media is used most by the youth. Bitcoin awareness should be targeted to youth via social media.
2200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could destroy economy on: April 25, 2021, 07:14:56 AM
Actually the uses of bitcoin depend on the user of it. User can use it in his own style and it is not problem to bitcoin. We can't blame bitcoin for such kinds of activity. We should concern more about the uses of bitcoin so that we can save our economy.

Considering this on the macro level, the fiat money has already destroyed many countries due to inflation. People work hard day and night to save fiat currencies and people holdings continue to decrease because of this never ending inflation and printing of fiat money. Bitcoin can help to recover the economy and not destroy it further.
