21903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 30, 2015, 11:06:48 AM
Gambling destroyed my life.I lost control over how much time and money I used to spend gambling. When I was in the nascent stage of being a gamster I had mixed feeling about it.Thats why I never stopped!
I took loans so that I can never stip rolling. I still have to  repay a loan worth 5 BTC!
ouch. that is bad bro.
you should try and control your gambling habits. one of my friends is like you and he had the same problem a while back where he borrowed some money to gamble, and he lost it all.
21904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greece's first Bitcoin ATM installed on: June 30, 2015, 10:11:31 AM
since there is only one bitcoin ATM in whole Greece at a bookstore it is not going to do have any big help for Greeks to buy bitcoin easily.
the bitcoin price looks seriously affected by the news though!
21905  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank holiday in Greece on: June 30, 2015, 10:00:01 AM
this only shows the usefulness of something like bitcoin, nobody can take that away from you because it is decentralized and you have complete control over your money. there is no government involved to seize your account or let you access it or not.
21906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: June 30, 2015, 04:29:10 AM
there is not bulletproof investments site all turn out as scams you better try your luck on dice games
not all investments are scams, you might be thinking of ponzi "investments," which are unsustainable and eventually end up to be a scam. you might want to try investing in a dice site's bankroll, which is essentially +EV in the long run, and should net you some money.

Don't call Ponzi schemes "scams." People know ahead of time exactly what they're doing. It's a gamble, not a scam.
actually many people don't still know that. and they fall for the scam and lose their money. that is why we see a lot of surprised people who are mad and say that we lost money on ..... website who claimed to double our investment.

another thing to keep in mind is that they never say that we are going to end our services after .... days and run away (stop doubling) they always claim we are legit and we are here to stay blah blah blah and that is scam in my book.
21907  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] DOTA 2 - Hats and Skins Alpine, 2 DCH, All tiers for item bets! on: June 30, 2015, 04:18:29 AM
do you mind linking your steam account so that i we can actually see your inventory first.

and also it would be better if you could add prices for any of the items that you are willing to sell.
21908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: June 30, 2015, 04:07:52 AM
Theoretically, if you have an infinitely large bankroll, you will consistently win money in the long run. Of course noone has a bankroll that big,

Infinite bankroll is not a guarantee that you will consistently win in the long run especially if you use martingale. And this has been discussed several times, so you need to check some previous posts about this.

do you mean that if you have for example 1,000,000BTC (i mil) and started from 0.00000001BTC (1 satoshi) you could lose at some point ?

p.s. i know the numbers are unreal but we are theory crafting about an infinite bankroll here.

Yes you could lose at some point. Also what's your goal? How much do you want to make?
i have no goal Cheesy and i don't want to make anything. i gave up martingale method a long time ago.
back then i was doing a lot of it and kept losing no matter how much i had, but i always had this mentality that the loses must stop at some point, i mean for example i thought that you can not lose 10 times in a row then i had 13 lose.
then i though 13 is it, then i had 15 and so on.

but it was interesting to see everyone's answers on this. thank you all,
21909  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best gambling casino on: June 30, 2015, 04:03:18 AM
At tothemoon.me u have a special gamble modus. It is a rocket and decidesthe odds of your bet so for example 0.3 or even 10.62 or more.

It is awesome..
i have seen a similar game a long time ago, i believe it was played with DogeCoin hence the to the moon part, the rocket went up and stopped randomly to give you your prize.
anyways it was a fun game i am going to give it a try, thanks for sharing.
21910  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hard crash is imminent because of Greece on: June 30, 2015, 03:59:42 AM
you said before on june 18 that price is going to fall backunder $220.
Pressure is already leaning downwards. I think it's very pikely we fall all the way back to 220 from before this dead cat bounce.
Thte time to sell and take your profit is now.

from that time price started at 243 and pretty much stayed between 240-250 and looking strong, and now it is rising to 260 and you are still don't give up....
21911  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: June 30, 2015, 03:51:21 AM
for me Bitcoin allows me to hold some saving out of the banking system and the hands of the government.
i like a couple of things:
  • like you said i like to have some savings out of the banking system and the hands of the government.
  • i was always into stock market and now i am trading bitcoin, which i enjoy and earn a little profit on the side.
  • having fast transaction with low transactions fee, and being able to send money anywhere in the world easily
  • many more...
21912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 30, 2015, 03:40:55 AM
I introduced about bitcoins to my 10 friends with the help of gambling on satoshimines.com. when I showed them live by playing on satoshimines and withdrawal from it. And exchanging on localbitcoin to fiat currency.

They totally believed me and get involved in bitcoin world. Now they always ask me to sell some small amount of btc to let them play on it and win some money.
actually since a lot of people are interested in gambling and nowadays there is a lot of different ways to gamble with your bitcoin, i think introducing bitcoin to somebody using a gambling website is a nice way to get them started.
i agree. since there are a lot of people who are interested in gambling, most of them are gambling addicts (my friends included) they would very much love to use bitcoin for gambling.
i tested this with some people and they are now have a bitcoin wallet and are gambling their bitcoins on online gambling sites.
the good thing about bitcoin gambling is that there is a lot of options and you can do it from anywhere., while staying anonymous.
21913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: June 30, 2015, 03:37:13 AM
I think bitcoin is safest investment as i am also holding some of my coins as a future investment, i believe in that the price will go high again in near future 5 years is so long period and much hard to predict the exact price of bitcoin but in next year the price can be more than double as the current.
bitcoin is far from being the safest investment. there are so many other thing to invest in that are far safer than bitcoin.
by safest investment i think you mean it has the highest profit or at least it has the potential to give you a nice big profit.

but their return is not great, one should assess the investment, not only with the risk, but also with the return that they will provide, so bitcoin although it is more risky, it offer greater potentially than many other asset
i agree, but there are other investments that can give you nice profits too with lower risks.
for example stock market is always an option, although it has high risks too but there are good opportunities that one can use for a nice profit.
or in my country you absolutely will never lose if you invest in real estate and in many cases you can gain twice your investment in short term.
21914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was accepted everywhere would you use it? on: June 30, 2015, 03:31:58 AM
I am curious as to why and who would use bitcoin if it was accepted everywhere.

I know it would be great for everyone who has invested into bitcoin, but if it was just as accepted as money would you still be as inclined to use it?

If you have a business that involves bitcoin or you have some sort of exchange then I can see it being a great thing for demand, but why would you use it if you could just as easily use fiat money?
absolutely yes. i would love to see some services especially online ones like Amazon, Ebay, (and personally like) steam to start accepting bitcoin and then i would be one of the first people who would buy with bitcoin there.
but on the other hand i will always have my investment for long term put aside because of the volatile price. and continue using it as an investment and do my exchanges for profit
21915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: June 30, 2015, 03:05:53 AM

Banks banned the bitcoin into indonesia, they were scared when people used bitcoin and they have no more customers. Thats why they banned bitcoin. And also they pride are so high, they don't need anything or they don't need help of bitcoin to grow their economy.
the good thing about bitcoin is that it is decentralized so they can always use bitcoin and invest in it no matter the government says. they only need access to cash to buy bitcoin and put it in their wallet without the need of any sort of banks.
21916  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks are rushing to Bitcoin on: June 30, 2015, 02:55:26 AM
this is going to be one hell of a push to bitcoin price in the last couple of months. and it obviously had the first impact on bitcoin price so far.
if the rest of the obstacles are removed from the way of Greeks to buy bitcoin, like only one bitcoin ATM and banks being shut for money transfer; then i suppose we are going to see a surge in price.
21917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 29, 2015, 07:01:15 AM
well i did not see anything written about farming the bitcointalk accounts, i know some people do it and earn money from that, i think its the best way to earn after sig campaigns
if by farming account you mean spamming with multiple accounts in signature campaigns, i'd say don't worry about it they all will get banned eventually.
but there are people who buy bitcointalk accounts with or without potential activity and sell them later with higher price, and earn a nice profit through that.
21918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain this address? on: June 29, 2015, 06:46:38 AM

That true experiment to make slow confirmation bitcoin
this is part of blockchain stress  Roll Eyes
did anyone of the blockchain  stress test group claim this address to be related to them?
because from what i have read about their test is that they were trying to send big size transactions to network with high fees to see if they can fill all the blocks and don't let any other transaction be included in the blocks except theirs.
this is small transaction with smaller fees, and doesn't fit the profile!

here is an example of the tx they sent in the test:

21919  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: June 29, 2015, 06:40:05 AM
Bitcoin was primarily used for underground purposes but it's moving away from that. The internet was arguably just used for underground activities at first and criminals took advantage of it as well like they do with any new technology, but any good idea will outgrow itself eventually when others realize it.

the fact that bitcoin is and was used for underground and illegal purposes is something inevitable, but to say that its primary purpose is for criminal acts is completely off the mark.
everything is being abuse but to say the that thing is only for abusing purposes is short sighted.
21920  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any Decent Bitcoin Ad Networks on: June 29, 2015, 06:19:39 AM
i see a lot of adbit.co advertisement on different places.
there is also https://coinadvert.net/
but a-ads.com and coinurl are the most famous ones
also as always googleads pay the most but not in bitcoin.

Mellow Ads, you can check it out here in their announcement thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1092698.0
Still didn't get the chance to check them out, but judging by feedback from other users, it's quite effective.

cheers
since it is a self moderated thread i wouldn't trust the feedback even if they are true!
