221  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: January 07, 2018, 12:26:32 PM
I truly believe that Bitcoin is far from its end. There are a lot of threads that answers how Bitcoin is not a bubble simply because it quickly recovers after an absolute correction. There is nothing to worry about because Bitcoin is now on the stage of redeeming itself. Like it always does, Bitcoin comes through and proves everyone wrong. Bitcoin is not ending and I am definitely sure that Bitcoin will have a good year ahead.

223  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: January 06, 2018, 04:16:32 PM
Here in the Philippines, acts that deals with cybercrime was established in 2012 under Republic Act No. 10175 also known as Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. It generally aims to handle legal interactions concerning the virtual world. I'm not sure if they have a specific section concerning Bitcoin but it should be included as it Bitcoin is used throughout the internet. The doubts come in because the status of Bitcoin in the Philippines is not yet dominantly established meaning it is not illegal but nothing also states that it is legal so before reporting a crime that involves Bitcoin one should be careful as to not incriminate oneself.
224  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-1-5]MARK ZUCKERBERG SAYS BITCOIN COULD COME TO FACEBOOK IN THE FUTURE on: January 06, 2018, 12:30:16 PM
The news and the post by Mark Zuckerberg might indicate the potential upcoming tie ups . If Facebook really tends to adopt Bitcoin's technology it would be beneficial to both the peers . That would just turn out to be an another reason why Bitcoin should be encouraged by all .
This comes with a query that it would be interesting to know that how facebook implements bitcoin into it and what would be its purpose . The answer lies in the womb of future for now .

I agree with iram1011. With Bitcoin potentially partnering with big and very well known companies is an opportunity for Bitcoin to establish its renown identity. Facebook is a platform used by many and the incorporation of Bitcoin would pave way to opportunities for both parties. Facebook can be an agent for learning the appropriate use of Bitcoin and can open the doors for mass adoption. This partnership would truly bring benefits to both parties.
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see Bitcoin fall in 2018? on: January 06, 2018, 10:47:16 AM
Just because Bitcoin rates weren't as high as people expected at the end of 2017, doesn't mean it will continue all throughout 2018. Let us not forget that one of Bitcoin's most prevalent trait is that it is highly volatile and due to this its rate can be unpredictable with or without any reasons to support it. As of today we could feel a silver lining in Bitcoin rates as it is gradually recovering from the correction it experienced a few weeks ago. This is a good sign that things will be back on track sooner or later. Bitcoin falling for this year is not impossible but what we have to know is that Bitcoin will rise as it always did because it will always come through. We just have to keep our faith in it for it not to be completely diminished.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 06, 2018, 09:26:20 AM
If cryptocurrencies takes over the world and overpowers fiat, the banks would definitely think of something innovative to accomodate cryptocurrency just not to go out of business. As someone who wants to keep their business in the industry, they would definitely have to establish something just to stay on the industry. I guess banks would start accepting Bitcoins as well but they have to make the storage of Bitcoin worthwhile as Bitcoin on wallets alone can multiply its value. A good deal a bank can do is to allow Bitcoin growth at higher rates and lessen the transaction fees for everyone. What the next move of the bank depends on their strategies but they have to do a lot to make people trust their services when it come to cryptocurrencies.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I would rather have paper money then Bitcoin on: January 05, 2018, 11:14:07 AM
Bitcoin is for risk takers. I do understand your side where you would rather use fiat than Bitcoin due to the enormous fees asked for its transaction when fiat requires none to minimal amount. Here in the Philippines, cryptocurrency is a new aspect many are still learning amd for that only a few people owns it and even use it for transaction. It's value is not much of importance compared to fiat as we can only use it over the internet. The fact that fiat is more accessible to everyone and is widely accepted is a big factor against Bitcoin which is why more people would rather use it. One day, people would appreciate the structure of Bitcoin and see its worth. For now it is a good investment but in terms of usage I would have to agree and favor fiat more.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambler's way on: January 05, 2018, 05:17:58 AM
is gambling really about luck or can you beat the house using maths and probability?

Infusing math to over come the probability of winning in the casino is a hard task, games in the casino are develop by programmers, unless you know the algorithm you might have a chance but the combination is massive.

so do you think gambling is about luck or you can beat the house with strat?

From what i believe gambling over an an online casino is all about luck but is you gamble on an offline casino you can put some strategy there to win over the house.

I couldn't agree more with alisafidel58. It's true that math is incorporated with gambling and this is done to make it more challenging and not to win easier. For you to solve the math behind games would take a lot of turns because it is programmed to have a lot of permutations or even algorithms that are difficult to make the game exciting. I always feel that when I gamble, I am nearing to a win but the truth is that it just gives you the anticipating feeling to make you go for more. Gambling is mostly about chances for you to get in the right situation to win. Some strategies may be implored but chance plays a bigger role in most of it.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price is going up? on: January 04, 2018, 12:39:48 PM
The holidays has passed and it has been evident for the past few days that Bitcoin is starting to recover from its correction last December. I have to say that if you really believe in the capabilities of Bitcoin, you would choose to hold on to what you have. Maximize the opportunity you have when the rates are low by buying more Bitcoins to store because sooner or later, Bitcoin rates will definitely rise. It may even reach a new peak that would be beneficial especially for those who chose to keep the Bitcoins the they have over the past corrections.
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin worth it or not? on: January 04, 2018, 08:53:25 AM
What you need to know when investing in Bitcoin is that its volatility comes with unpredictability BUT one thing is for sure and that is it is worth it. People who have been investing ever since before would prove this as they have already experienced multiple crashes yet Bitcoin always came through and multiplied its value more than of what is expected. It is safe to say that it will be worth it as Bitcoin is certainly profitable and flexible.
231  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine Bitcoin recognized around the world. on: January 04, 2018, 02:27:12 AM
There's a huge possibility that in the near future, the recognition or even appreciation towards Bitcoin would cover the entire world. When that time comes, its usage would be more prevalent compared to what we have today. Hopefully, people would genuinely know the structure of Bitcoin as to not abuse its worth and be able to maximize its benefit. When it comes to its mass adoption, I'm all up for it; but we should all know that with more people being involved there are certain consequences that comes with it. Take for a fact its value. It may not be as high or as volatile if more people actually owns Bitcoin.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: do you think bitcoin will go back again to 10k or even below 10k on: January 03, 2018, 10:29:50 AM
This is something that is possible to happen but none of us are anticipating for its occurrence. With its volatility, Bitcoin can have a rate of less that $10,000 anytime even without a notice. Factors that an contribute to its rate crashing include the inappropriate use of Bitcoin when it's on its peak or even excessive pumping that is bound to occur. The transaction fees can even affect its rate since this is a factor considered by the users. If there will come a time that Bitcoin's rate reach below $10,000, we know that Bitcoin knows how to recover and it will definitely surpass that rate sooner or later.
233  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-01] We’ll Study Bitcoin ‘Very Closely’: Philippine Central Bank on: January 03, 2018, 08:33:39 AM
You know what, they have been telling this for quite a long time already to the point that I no longer know what to believe in.

There are two potential scenario's. Either they're stalling an official statement as to what their plans are because they have no clue what cryptocurrency exactly is and wether they should embrace it or not. Or they're working really hard on regulations in an attempt to diminish the influence of cryptocurrencies in the Philippines.

Yup I agree with J. Cooper. Let us try to understand their side as well that what they are dealing with is quite complex and hard to manage. We know how the system works here in the Philippines. Before they could release a stand towards cryptocurrency, they have to be very knowledgeable about its structure. This is to protect not only the users but also the economy of the country. Let's give them a chance to think it through. Maybe they would come up with something that would actually benefit us all.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Go Up Or Down Next Week? on: January 03, 2018, 05:13:38 AM
2 days after new year's day, Bitcoin rates are finally going up. It's an exciting sight to see how the graphs are changing its path. The trends are finally recovering which just goes to show that Bitcoin is not a bubble. The holidays somehow really affected the rates and with its end, Bitcoin is on the rise. Happy New Year to all!
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Happy with Bitcoin at $20K on: January 02, 2018, 06:07:06 PM

I am not demanding too much from Bitcoin and I am already done with wild predictions that Bitcoin can be $100K within this year or be worth millions many years from now (though it is good to hear those predictions and projections and can even be inspiring to hear). As for me, I would rather live on what Bitcoin can give to me and for now am wishing that it can be back to the $20K level and even if it will stay there for the rest of the next 6 months then I would not mind. Do you think that within the first quarter of the year Bitcoin can be back at the $20K level?

I agree with iamTom123. Bitcoin reaching greater heights would be fantastic and would definitely bring benefits to its users due to the outcome that would lead to profits. However, with its volatility, you can only just ask for so much that I would rather choose to settle for something more achievable. $20,000 is already a lot and I am happy that Bitcoin was able to reach that rate. Now that it's in the raange or $12,000 - $14,000 people can't help but feel that it's low when in fact it's somehow high compared to the rates Bitcoin had before it reached that height. We should all learn to be contented at some point because the volatility has its consequences. We can always aspire but we can only have so much. I am hopeful that it would have its $20,000 rate back soon.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Rise again in January? on: January 02, 2018, 02:45:57 PM
In my opinion bitcoin will rise up to $22000.

No one knows, but all I know that its price will rise up more than its All time high. So, let us just wait for it to happen, and of course it will happen!

I agree with ShadowBits! It may be experiencing a decline now but sooner or later, I believe that Bitcoin will rise and gain its momentum to reach an all time high rate. I also think that the holidays had an effect towards its rate. With the season coming to an end, hopefully Bitcoin will start recovering. We just have to keep our faith and be patient. It may be unpredictable, but it will be all worth it.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: January 02, 2018, 08:43:18 AM
I don't think so. Even if electric cars are using electricity to run for it to be appealing to its users, the cost of buying one is more expensive compared to a regular car. In addition to that, the maintenance of it is really expensive as the they are not mass produced and their parts would take more time to create or find. The main point here is really about its cost and since electric cars doesn't have an appealing price for its buyers, then they would rather choose an oil-powered car instead.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real Casino or Digital Casino. Whats is your Poison? on: January 01, 2018, 02:34:19 PM
Real casinos definitely. It's just that I get a vibe that makes me more eager to play when I'm in real casinos compared to digital ones. Sure, playing in digital casinos give you all the comfort as you don't have to travel all the way to different places and enjoy it at the comfort of your home whatever time of the day; but there's just something about real casinos that makes me coming back. The vibe and the atmosphere it give is definitely the winning factors on why I prefer it over virtual casinos.
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: January 01, 2018, 12:54:21 PM
As we enter the new year with the Bitcoin rates playing at the range of $13,000, it will hopefully start rising as we surpass early January. I really think that the holidays had a drastic effect towards the rates of Bitcoin. As it ends, let us all hope that the trends start to change as well and it will rise to another remarkable rate. WE just have to remember that with it decline, our faith towards it should be stronger and not do impulsive actions that we might regret.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: what benefits you've got from bitcoin in 2017 on: January 01, 2018, 09:35:22 AM
Bitcoin has aided me financially through the last quarter of 2017 since I just started working with it. I am just new to the system but it has given me a lot of benefits. It has aided me financially to support my thesis research. With Bitcoin's help, I was able to supply for my needs without having to spend my savings; it even helped me in adding more to it. This year, I hope I get to learn more strategies in order to earn more Bitcoins because I know that Bitcoin is the currency of our future. Investment through this platform would truly lead to more profits which will help me have a stable economic stature.
