221  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: June 07, 2013, 04:25:15 AM
What FPGA/ASIC is used in the BlockErupter?

-E

custom ASIC from ASICMINER

The original plan involved stuffing a cat into the product to increase hashrate, but it got fried in the process  Shocked
222  Bitcoin / Mining support / Bitminter is showing DOUBLE hashrate for my USB eruptor asics on: June 06, 2013, 07:58:24 PM
660Mh/s on each one.  wtf   Huh
223  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 06, 2013, 04:05:03 AM
really though, its not like our satoshi or dividends are going to dissapear poof! lol
they are on the way, just takes time to get confirmations,

Have some sympathy please.  He probably just sold his kids LAST 8 BALL of crack just to buy asicminer shares and he's desperate for just a bump.  Some peoples dividends disappear right up their nose, so 6/7 days they are wiggin out.   it's NOT their fault!  Roll Eyes
224  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 06, 2013, 03:55:52 AM
This is the first transaction of a chain of 7 non-standard unconfirmed transactions which has to be confirmed before the dividends can be confirmed. That payment script is a mess, and the satoshis are making a storm of dust.  Undecided

Well i hope this gets sorted out soon because it is near the end of the day and I haven't received my satoshis or dividends yet... Cry

Is there any way you can get a loan before tomorrow so you don't starve to death?  Maybe go on welfare for the night?
225  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: June 05, 2013, 07:41:43 PM
When my bitcoins get low and I try sending some, I get this strange message about Selectcoin not working, followed by reassurance that it's probably not my fault (?).  lol

This bug is still a problem, and this has not yet been responded to.  I have 1.5 bitcoins that are spread into such tiny chunks amongst about a hundred keys that I can't access them with one transfer.

olkay this is getting frustrating.  answer me please
226  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 05, 2013, 05:42:37 PM
I still did not received satoshis or divs for my direct shares. Anyone with same problem? Do we have some transactions stuck again or is this just me?

100 BLOCKS! We have to go through this every week with new shareholders don't we.

why don't we just say that dividend day is thursday... that way people will always think they're getting them early and will maybe stfu
227  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Quick question, 32 bit or 64 bit on: June 05, 2013, 04:01:41 PM
I've asked around, apparently, for a mining rig there is no benefit of one over the other.

But if you look to the future, Device Drivers for 34 bit will become less available.

It lookse like the world is going to 64 bit, not because it needs to, but because it can.

sweet, thanks!  Waiting for 50 USB's today, want to hook them up to a little notebook so hopefully it meets the other hardware requirements as well
228  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Quick question, 32 bit or 64 bit on: June 05, 2013, 01:22:30 PM
I'm using Ubuntu on a small mining machine and i am wondering about the advantages and/or disadvantages, if any, of using 32 bit version vs. 64 bit from a mining perspective.

bump

ill be going to edmonton within a couple weeks.  i would like to stop by.  PM me and if you are legit i can help you gain trust with the community, cause your current methods are definitely not helping you.

cats have 9 lives so it only makes sense that friedcat is a team of 9 people.  duh.

What kind of cooling should I aim for with 50 of these bad boys?  Keep in mind my #1 concern is noise level.  It may be very close to a child's room and I don't want it to be noisy.  The house does not have A/C.  Although I live in Canada, our 2-3 months of summer can still be scorching hot.   Cool
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: The "goal" for today is $100 on: June 03, 2013, 10:07:47 PM
i will bet 100 bitcoins that the price doesnt go below 110 again

Without time limit?!

I take the bet!

As there is no time limit, I have never officially "failed"; it could always fall below $110 one day or another.
Thus, you shall never claim victory.

On the other hand, you lose automatically when the price goes below $110.

 Grin

I figured someone would say that.  Yes we would impose a reasonable time limit  Roll Eyes

Batch 2 had stopped shipping because there was something overheating and melting on the boards is what i was hearing earlier this week maybe they are fixing it b4 its sent we will prob get our batch 3 before our batch 2

probably overheated because their overclocking them to shit as they make money off mining with all their inventory

If income is limited by device lifetime or user patience, (say ~ four years) then with increasing difficulty an ROI may never be reached.

just thinking out loud here...

when ASICS increase the network hash rate enough, GPUs will stop earning enough money to recoup electricity costs. when that happens, GPUs will start dropping off the network in droves, causing difficulty to either drop, or grow more slowly.

i wonder what's the total hashing power of all the GPUs on the network right now?

AM as a mining company doesn't seem to want a bigger % of the network than they already have, so you can ignore their effect on the hash rate and just focus on everybody else.

I like this post.. very clear perspective!

I'll even bump it again to keep people laughing at what you're selling and your inability to present it!   Cheesy  good times good times
238  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 31, 2013, 05:56:12 PM
very very good point... someone just needs to take the initiative. Looks like AM/Friedcat have enough to worry about for now... someone can just set an example and away they go. I would jump on this if I had the skills/resources

I would personally pledge 1 btc towards a fund to produce an official storefront / website.  We are shareholders after all, no reason we have to put this burden on friedcat.

I propose we setup an address with John K. to serve as a website fund.  We then put out a RFP for one of the many bitcoin enthusiast html geeks to produce an official site endorsed by friedcat.

Features it should have:
1) Hosting of the official shareholder list with tools to make managing share purchases easier for freidcat (i'm thinking an existing shareholder could post his auction and the results could (with approval) transfer share ownership)
2) An official storefront for the masses to purchase upcoming ASIC hardware.
3) A Built in voting mechanism.  It should be easier for friedcat to propose something and receive shareholder feedback.
4) ??

Agree! I would do this to be a part of spread the AM love and work with AM, but I'm sooooo swamped. Like, get it done or bad things happen swamped. Otherwise I'd be coding a prototype now. Someone go do it!

There is no need to pledge personal coins for features, AM has plenty revenue coming in, and a team of demonstrably intelligent people mapping out their future.

LOL you're right, but I laugh when I read this all because I felt the same "obligation" a couple weeks ago to offer donations to AM just to help give things a boost.  I think some of us share some kind of psychological obsession with friedcats operation ... some kind of sick and twisted hardcore loyalty that I've never seen before.  Friedcat could literally create an army, as some of them would probably take a bullet for him.   Cheesy  I've never seen anything like it before LOL

Canadianguy, our website product listing clearly states that the miner is preconfigured for Litecoin.

annnd I'm pretty sure I'm referring to the original post -- not your website.
I would say that was a pretty important point to leave out
240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Rocky Mountain Miners on: May 31, 2013, 03:59:15 PM
@Canadianguy, Our miners are set up by default to mine Litecoin, not Bitcoin. Bitcoin ASICs are not used in Litecoin mining. That said, my test machine is currently mining BTC profitably. We're not selling this product as the fastest on the market, but as one of the easiest to use.
. oops I thought i was kevin leary for a second there..
