I'm very pleased to see a spike in the market price for Onions just as our new participants are to receive their first airdrop. It will make the airdrop all the more thrilling for them and, hopefully, encourage them to stay with us for the long haul.

I may not have conveyed what mcall meant as well as I thought abdulmad. I think Mcall's model doesn't actually require additional funding. I think he/she is proposing we split the existing funding allocated per Airdrop between Part 1 and Part 2; i.e. for Airdrop 11: x% of 250,000 is allocated to Part 1 and y% allocated to Part 2 (where x + y = 100%).

I've processed mcall's Chinese text through several different automatic translators (to get a better sense of what mcall meant).

The following is not a direct translation but is essentially what mcall has said:

Project-participants could be further encouraged to hold their Onions if their incentive to do so is increased.
My proposal is to divide the amount of Onions participants receive each Airdrop into 2 parts:

Part 1. would be provided to participants using the existing Airdrop requirements regarding activity and member-levels. (A form of PoW)

Part 2. would be provided to participants for holding their Onions in their Airdrop-wallets. Further, the amount of Onions participants receive for 'holding' them could be increased the longer they hold them. (A form of PoS).

I'm not sure what percentage of the airdrop should be allocated to each Part but I believe this method could be very effective in encouraging participants to hold their Onions if the percentage of the Airdrop allocated to Part 2 was significant.

(Also, I think the use of this method would increase the current value of Onions on the open market.  )

I think this is a very interesting suggestion by mcall. I'm not entirely sure how easy it would be for Crypto-Rainbow to implement - but that's because I am not very good at math.

Hey there hardlinero007 ( and kazzzidy). I'm not entirely sure how it works behind the scenes but I can share what happened from my point of view as a DO participant.

The airdrop before last ( #9) was initiated a couple of hours early and as a result I missed that particular airdrop. (I only had another couple of posts to make but I was working on a DO image - about airdrops LOL  )

Anyway, after the airdrop my status indicated that I had missed the airdrop because I had 8/10 posts. I didn't apply to be reinstated, I just continued on as an active participant and I received the last airdrop without a problem.

I can't say for sure, but I think the whole series of events happened automatically (i.e. 8/10 posts, no airdrop, 15/10 posts, airdrop).

Hopefully crypto-rainbow or a mod will drop in to this conversation and indicate whether or not my reinstatement actually did occur automatically.

I'm a little concerned folk such as dgigit are being captured by the burst-posting dragnet.
Is there any adjustments to the process that can be made such that genuine supporters such as dgigit aren't being flagged?
