All my rigs are shut down. Water level is breeching 30% up driveway. It's not looking good.............7 more days of rain. All detention ponds and bayou are breached. Only thing we can do is pray. Only 1 life jacket in the house, who gets it? L3 or 1080TI?
flood insurance will pay for all your losses not If they don't have flood insurance, which is seprate from normal insurance which doesn't usually cover floods or flooding, also knowing that only 12 percent of people in texas in and around the affected areas have flood insurance. chances are if his house flooded he may not get squat back because flooding wasn't covered I want to say max flood insurance payout is like $250k for house(structure - maybe more if he had it registered as a business) and maybe $100k for appliances. Not sure where he is but if it was the SW side or Kingwood area he may be in a world of hurt. Spent most of this week in Kingwood helping clean up a co-workers house. Sad stuff 250k only ? that wont even cover most house structures, that cant be right That's what I keep hearing. I tried to navigate the FEMA website to confirm which I knew was the wrong approach. Googling around shows the $250k structure + 100k personal property. The best article I found was Consumer Report https://www.consumerreports.org/flood-insurance/what-flood-insurance-does-and-does-not-cover/

awesome card 230w from the wall
Great temps. Air or liquid?

No have people here who have Vega 64 pls share hashrate - real hashrate Those numbers have been posted a number of times already. I'm running vega FE (essentially RX Vega 64) and I can hold a constant 42.1Mh/s if weather permits. My house is over 45C inside right now, so i've got mine turned down to keep temps in check. Plenty of people here have Vega 64. I encourage you to search and check other threads. Cards are very heat sensitive. Running ETH only right now, I hit between 39-40 mh/s when cards are around 63c using drivers 17.8.2

I am using it to mine XMR. Easily 1000h/s on vega 64.
My whole machine with 2x Vega 64 draws 270W from the wall and does 2050h/s XMR. I only downclock core to 1080, overclock mem to 1100 and set temp target to 70.
Voltage is auto. At $499 they are pretty good value (as a 1080ti user). You will get faster ROI using 570 and 580s now, but I think we need to wait for bios mod tools to unlock vega's potential.
could you share your power draw in some pics? do u use any kind of kill-a-watt? 270 for 2 vega 64 + whole system I think it's not possible..... Also interested / not sure if it's possible. I've gotten my per card down to just under 170 watts and thought I was doing good!

From the sounds of your posts, this would be the very first GPU rig of any kind that you have mined with? If so I suggest starting out smaller until you learn the basics rather then building the most expensive and complicated rig you can when you don't even know how to choose a PSU yet. I mean that in the best way, no offense intended, just trying to save you some headache. x2... I'd really encourage going smaller for the first one. There are better cards for hash/watt I have 3 rx vega 64s and depending on what I'm doing I'm pulling between 620 - 900 watts of total system power from the wall. Would definitely recommend going server PSUs. I'm also not convinced Windows is going to be the best platform for these cards. You may want to take a hard look at Linux

Always shocked this board allows this...

Appreciate the work! Keep it up

40mh eth + 290mh lbry )) vega64 liquid
Beta Mining Drivers or 17.8.2? On 17.8.2 I'm at 36 mh eth + 220mh lbc. May have to switch back over and try the other drivers

Vega 64 owner here -> You can probably find 2x 580s cheaper and perform better at mining on almost everything.

I currently hold btc, eth, xrp, lbc, sigt, dcr If you want to invest in any of those and help drive the price up that would be great

I really wish I would have done all my rigs in these cases. My concern about temps seems to be overblown.
The reduction in clutter = potential reduction in nagging from the wife makes this very tempting.

Think I'm too late to mine enough to stake?
Just started researching. This is a very interesting project. Looks well put together so far. Think I will point a couple GPU's this way

RX Vega 64 Liquid 1560gpu/1100mem@1v gpu core dualminer 9.8 -dcri 60 55-60 degrees with 3000 rpm
The card definitely prefers to stay cool. What's your one minute ETH avg.? Good to see you got Memory stable at 1100 - also at 1v? Beta mining drivers or 17.8.1?

ETH, DCR, LBC
Every now and then I will switch a machine over to NiceHash to pick up some BTC directly - No clue why

There's plenty of people tinkering with Vega. It still has potential.
I switched back over to the 8/23 beta mining drivers. Current stats - ETH Only - +50 power. 1137 core/p900. 1000 mem/p900 - making 39.5 mh/s ETH @ 303 watts - total system power. Avg. 1 minute ETH = 35.5 mh/s
Dual Mine - +50 power. 1137 core/p900. 1000 mem/p900 - making 39 mh/s ETH and 2700 mh/s DCR @ 424 watts - total system power. Avg. 1 minute ETH = 33 mh/s
Definitely still has some driver and power management issues

I'm sure others will chime in.
I've been itching to pick up a hardware wallet - specifically a Ledger Nano S. I've yet to get to a value level to fully justify it though. Hopefully someday soon

Recently started on my i7-6700K using Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v3.5 Beta. Initially started 239 h/s then it went down to 198 h/s stable. Thank you coinnoob_za for suggesting this to me Very interesting. What coin are you mining? I've never thought about turning my cpu onto a coin. I have several computers that could easily be pointed to a miner during off hours.

Reading these posts makes me want to switch over to server psu's so bad. Should have done it that way in the beginning...
Really liking those 6pin risers. Going to order a handful. Thanks for the link!

I have had plenty of dogs in my life. I'd sell each and every one of them for $100k. No question. It'd be a sad day but I'd buy another dog and pay off my house and you know what? Things would be alright.
