221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: August 19, 2017, 08:10:30 AM
It's really hard to control your greed on gambling as long as you win, you want to continue playing. You want more money, but if you lose you want to take your money back that's why you continued to risk your money. I think the best way to control your greed is to never start gamble or if you can't control yourself to start to gamble just give yourself a limit. For example, you can bet until 100$ of you win you can continue playing but if those 100$ lose that's the time to stop playing.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: August 19, 2017, 08:01:43 AM
Do you gamble for fun or for profit?
I gamble just for fun. I love playing deck of cards with my sisters. It's usually our time to bond, lessen our stress and had a great time together. But when it comes to profit, I don't risk any single of my money because I don't have any luck. I will just regret it if I lose. So much better for me to just play it for fun.

225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Secret of Happiness on: August 16, 2017, 04:19:23 PM
Most of the people nowadays don't know the real meaning of happiness. They are now blinded by the money. That's why we have this kind of society. While reading those answer for this question most of you answered money. Yes, it's nice to have a lot of money but come on, try searching the right answer inside your heart.

227  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: August 15, 2017, 04:26:38 PM
I hate to say this but rapists should be punished justly. I'm for the victims and for the family of them.
This shouldn't be tolerated anyway. Every victim suffers a lot even the rapists will get appropriate punishment.

The conviction rates for rape are extremely low, even in the developed nations. And unlike other violent crimes, only a minority of the rapes are likely to get reported to the police, due to the shame and stigma associated with it.

I had watched a video somewhere in Iran or Iraq that a rape convict will have a punishment but not directly. His sister or any woman in the family will be raped, too bad for those innocent women who are related to the suspect.

The video may be from Pakistan or Afghanistan. Iran doesn't have barbaric laws such as this one. But in Pakistan, this normally happens. The rape of Mukhtaran Bibi is a prime example.

I just can't remember on what Particular country that video was. I tried to google who was that Mukhtaran Bibi and it was the same video that I watched. Too bad for people who are living on these places, they don't value laws, they don't value life, they don't know what's human rights. Shame on those people.

It's not fair if the punishment for the rapist is this. His family member would suffer. How do we know that the rapist is affected if one of his family member will be raped too? He is the one who commited the crime, so he is the only one who must be punish.

229  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: August 13, 2017, 02:19:02 PM
I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?

Somehow yes, money is very important these days, you cannot live without money. Not unless you have your own house, farm and other stuff. But there are things that money cannot buy, these are happiness, true friends and family. I hope lets just all balance the greed in money, lets always remember that money is not above all, we do not need a lot of money we need love and respect to others.
That is not correct because when you have money, all your friends and your family will not leave you and it will create happiness to you and that is why money is very important these days because if you don't have money then everyone will leave you because there is nothing interested in your life aside from a loser and no money guy.

That is pathethic. Yes we all need money for living. We need money for our basic needs like shelter, clothes, foods etc but it doesn't mean that money is everything and money is above all things. If your family, friends, and your love ones truely loves you they will not leave you no matter how poor you are. We should not based on how much money a person has, we should based on his kind heart instead.
230  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bully Problem on: August 12, 2017, 04:27:49 PM
Help me guys, I want to get rid of my bully friends but they are my true friends. A while ago I almost cried, my feelings got hurt again they were bullying me and they involved my parents.

Good friends are natural bullies, but hurting your feelings do not make them a friend of yours especially involving your parents. What you do is tell first to your parents. Parents should always know what their son or daughter is going through. This situations should always end up in stoinger relationship with our parents. Your life will be more fruitful rather than going with friends that is talking nonsense just to laugh at someone else.

Rather than parents, I would suggest him/her to contact the other relatives, such as cousins or uncles. They will be a bit more open to discuss the real issues involved. There is nothing wrong in telling this to the parents, but decide whether you want to get them alarmed or not.

My younger sister bullied by her friends years ago. But rather to tell them to our parents she tell it to me and to my older sister. Your sister or brother knows what to do. In fact they are our real bestfriend. So let your sister or brother take care of your so called true friends.
231  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: August 09, 2017, 02:39:06 PM
This is a wellknown story:

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all"

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed".

http://www.psychologymatters.asia/article/65/the-story-of-the-two-wolves-managing-your-thoughts-feelings-and-actions.html

But why do we so easily succumb to feed the evil wolf? Why do we hate and feed it and react hatefull towards others?

This is a very nice story. All that has been said here are true. I think we feed them both, the good wolf and the evil one. We all have those characteristic inside ourselves, it's just depend on us when we will gonna show it. I think the evil wolf is not our real enemy. Our real enemy here is no other than our own self because we are the owner and we are the one who will decide who will gonna win.
232  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is really life is beautiful? on: August 08, 2017, 02:50:53 PM
life is really wonderful and amazing. im not so blessed thats why i said that, it really is. everyone has their own problem even the rich one not to tell you they also have a lot of problems in life. it just a matter of perspective and how you deal with your problems

I agree with you. We all have our own problems even if you're poor or rich or whatever your status is. It depends on how you will handle it or how will you accept it. For others, they don't call it problems. It's just a trial or challenge, and when you get over it, you'll received a reward, or your life will be brighter. It is more easy to handle if you don't take it seriously. Just smile on your problem and find a solution.
233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: August 07, 2017, 02:10:23 PM
I have read an article that tackles about this matter and there are two ways to reduce population. One is through taking no action whatsoever, let nature inhumanely take its action through wars, poverty and famine. That way the population will drastically deplete though no human would agree in such a thing but that's why there's a second option which is through humane acts. Taking action by educating the people about the matter, giving out birth control and so much more.

I agree with this. So the solution now is here. It just depends on you whether you take an action or not. If you're concerned regarding this issue then you must take action so that others will do. If not, then don't do anything. Simple as that.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: August 05, 2017, 03:48:55 PM
For me money is the most important thing after God since everything depends of it : health, love, happiness. However, God is above everything and I would for exemple never work a Sunday even to earn my monthly wage in one day.
I don't believe in you. Yes we all need money but it's not the most important thing. God is above us all. What's next to Him? Love, Happiness, Respect. Those are things you can never buy with your money. Money is just a tool.
235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: August 04, 2017, 11:03:13 AM
People hate because they are hurt. Hurt is the most reason why people hate. So how we can lessen hatred? We must never expect. Expectation leads to disappointment, so when you're disappointed you started to hate. You started to get mad, feel bad. Just go with the flow.
236  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: August 03, 2017, 03:49:43 PM
I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.
Oh really? Do you also believe that the plants and animals you have eaten are just borrowed from god and he's the only one who has the right to take them away from us? Remember that death penalty is a punishment for those who commit unforgivable sin, unlike animals and plants. We've been eating animals long before death penalty became an idea. Criminals were just killed, but animals were killed and eaten. Now tell, who was the one claiming that "RIGHT", humans or God?

I assumed we are talking about humans so how come that the animals and plants are involved in this topic? We're talking about the death penalty for those who committed crimes against human right not animal or plants rights. That's other case I believed.

238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to be contented on what you have? on: August 02, 2017, 02:34:16 PM
Be happy and learn to appreciate things maybe. But at some point, I think there's no contentment in this world. I do appreciate things, I am happy too, but when we get what we want in a few days we already want something else.
239  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: August 02, 2017, 02:19:44 PM
50-50 decision. At some point i do agree, but i some point i just want really bad people not just die, but contribute something before they died. I mean like to become scientifical experiment or make use the parts of body for clinical research like to find cure for cancer. You know that, they have to die, but why not do something beneficial before they die.
I think this one is a very good idea. Although I don't agree in experimenting human it could be a very big help if we donate some body parts of those criminals. For example, those eyes for the blind, their blood, kidney, or heart for the  patient who need it. They can be useful before they die.
