221  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: May 25, 2019, 04:06:12 PM
Let's continue the topic here since it was an interesting discussion but as usual, the shitposters kill any discussion open.
(it's a self-moderated thread)

With the current economy, the fears about the Brexit, Italy, the Sino-American problems and the general pessimism among investors; It looks like Gold is coming back the past months. At the same time, countries like the EU, Japan & China are reducing their investments in the economy,
(it should also reduce demand for the USD?)

Even the Central banks are buying more Gold (+13% from the previous year). Economists predict a dark year for 2019 and it seems a lot of large funds are now buying Gold massively. Especially from Asia and Soviets.

The purchases of Gold by the central banks increased by over 70% last year. It's something that didn't happen since the '60s - '70s and the dissolution of the Bretton Woods agreements. The main reason is to get away from the dollar. Even Iran and its crypto will be backed by Gold for the same reason and to avoid the US sanctions. Even the ETFs increased by something like 200% last year

The global economy is still weak despite what has been done (or not) since 2008. People, countries, central banks started to realize this and cover their ass by turning to Gold
Well i do believe there still many people think gold are the best investments. In my country gold are being use to avoid tax and they think gold is very liquid. Thats why i think ASIA is buying so many gold.
No, this is definitely not going to happen. Because gold is a completely dysfunctional metal. Bitcoin is an investment tool that has more functions than even money.
Yes i do believe so but still people invest in gold cause it has a small fluctuation and safer than investing in cryptocurrency.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks, Nordstrom And Whole Foods Now Accept Bitcoin on: May 25, 2019, 02:17:57 PM
This is huge news, this year had been great due to development and mass adaptation news. A lot of big and well-known companies are starting to accept cryptocurrency as payment. This will further push mass adaptation and it's also a good start for other companies to start upgrading their payment system by adapting crypto as an alternative payment.
That's true it's really good to every one to know this kind of news because it means many companies are appreciate the cryptocurrency and also bitcoin, maybe they know the benefit of it and the out come to the people.
Yeah this year full with suprises and adoptation of blockchain and acceptence of bitcoin really did a good job and affecting the market price really well. I do think blockchain will be really big and even microsoft are using bitcoin blockchain for identity data , yes they do know that there is a lot of benifit that could be done by bitcoin.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I cursed? on: May 25, 2019, 07:14:01 AM
I don't know if I am cursed or something. If I sell a coin now from airdrop/bounty few days later that coins increases much that you will regret selling. If I hold a coin from airdrop/bounty again that coins price decreases much that you will regret not selling right away. I'm confused now whenever I sell the price increases and when I hold the price decreases. Am I cursed?  Cry
No and i believe its not just you, many people and also myself feel that way, i believe its just miss decision. I know its hurt and it also became a regret but i do think its good thing to learn and that how crypto market is.
224  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency lending business. on: May 24, 2019, 05:20:10 PM
Cryptocurrency loans emerged as an increasingly viable alternative to borrowing loans. What do you think about the cryptocurrency lending business?

https://news.bitcoin.com/genesis-capital-processed-1-1b-of-cryptocurrency-loans-in-2018/
i think lending is a good way to earn a money and its how bank earn money and i do think we could use cryptocurrency to give a loan to people to develop their own businesses.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB overtake ETH? POLL on: May 24, 2019, 03:53:18 PM
Binance chain only offering binance dex which is basically forkdelta on binance chain. But you are giving away decentralization for using it and it has no volume right now and we are not sure there will ever be.

I think ethereum will always number one choice for tokens.
yes im agree eth will still be the king of smart contract even thought bnb seems really good and attract so many coin to imigrate into bnb blockchain. I do think eth is more trustable and better then bnb .
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: May 24, 2019, 02:43:53 PM
In the last few weeks the coin market, it can be said to be very sensitive, can count seconds and minutes the price immediately changes, but I hope for the future, especially Bitcoin, can be stable in the price on the market.

Maybe this market can occasionally be visited: https://coinmarketcap.com/
I dont think bitcoin will be stable, in my opinion the condition of the market right now is very bullish and it means bitcoin would increasing and touch a new high, in few months bakkt will be offcially opened and it will draw more investors into bitcoin and make will push the price to the top. I think $10k is already on the horizon.
227  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Beat Banks? on: May 24, 2019, 01:16:11 PM
I hear it all the time. Bitcoin/crypto is alternative to fiat. And almost every token philosophy is based on this premise.

The question: can cryptocurrency beat legacy financial institutions to the point of replacing them?

... Thought as much... The much lauded JPMCoin was all noise and no substance. But can an accident happen to make legacy institutions catch up to the decentralized world?

Well i believe in future we will use this technology for every transactions that we do in our live. But dont ever think bitcoin could replace the fiat money, its absurd and i dont think bitcoin even a currency cause it so volatile even though i do agree that bitcoin could be use to do transactions and also has a value, but still i dont think i would use bitcoin to buy something.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: welcome bulls , Bye bears on: May 24, 2019, 01:23:02 AM
This year I didn't get that much profits only thing I did was holding my investments , I hope all my patience will pay off next year and there will be bull market and I make more profits  Grin

many investors are in same hope only ?? I would like to know what you guys think about next year,
i do also hold my coins from 2018. In my opinion i think 2020 will be a year were blockchain will be adopted and we also might see so many businesses make their own security token. So i do think in 2020 we will see good market growth.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Price of goods goes up, salary never goes up!!! on: May 23, 2019, 04:28:14 PM

Over the past 30 years, salary never goes up, I know because I saw the salary today is same as my first salary 30 years ago, I’m not disclosing my age, so don’t be too paranoia, but the price of everything goes up thru the roof, the only person who salary goes up are (ikr, salary must kept secret because it is case sensitive, don’t tell anyone else!), ok, enough rant! Try to tell your kids to work for a salary in the future, I think they could barely afford a piece of beard!!

End of story! Ciao!
Well its true sir, world work like that, and food and others the main needs will keep going up. I believe thats why we do teached to build our own businesses and i do think its hard and not something that can be done in one night. This is also the reasons why we need to learn to invest and to alocate our money into something good that can be fruitful, investments is a goo choices and cryptocurrency is one the best choices in my opinion.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Nerd money or not? on: May 23, 2019, 03:37:08 PM
I recently watched the movie Goosebumps 2 with my kids and Bitcoin was once again mentioned briefly in this movie. The one boy mentioned Bitcoin and the other boy called it Nerd money.  Roll Eyes <My kids turned to me and said, Are you a nerd?>

So it got me thinking, why would people label Bitcoin as Nerd money, when people use electronic payment options like PayPal every day? What feature about Bitcoin gives people this impression about Bitcoin?

The first thing that comes to mind is the technical IT knowledge that people need to understand the concept about this technology and also it's origin amongst very highly skilled programmers and developers in the IT industry.

I am definitely not a nerd, but I am more than willing to carry that label, if it means that Bitcoin should be part of my skill and knowledge set in this world.  Grin

Bitcoin Nerds will rule this world! <Bill Gates is 100% proof of that>
well i believe bitcoin is a popular coins but i think not a lot people that brave enough to buy bitcoin or even to learn about bitcoin, so i guess its true that we are the nerd and i guess my friend think im nerd cause i could stay in front of my computer like a hour just to read all about crypto stuff.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we in a silent bull run?? on: May 23, 2019, 03:18:12 AM
I ve seen many threads asking whether we are entering into a bull run or market will crash again. To me, the bull run is already here but it takes only experience to identify it. One key characteristic of the bull run is that, every drop is an opportunity to buy. During this period, the probability of earning profit from your investment (whenever there is a drop) is far higher than the probability to lose. Don't sit down and wait till Bitcoin hits 20k again before you realize we are in the bull run. Try and make enough profits now that the market is booming before its too late.
yes definetly, i do think bull run are happening right now. Right now is what we called the pull back and after few week market value will jump again and i do believe market could possibly reach a new high in end of 2019.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has no practical use and could be damaging to the economy! on: May 22, 2019, 05:18:35 PM
Even with the efforts done by the inventor Satoshi Nakamoto and the people who supported bitcoin around the world, still these guy from EY says there was no practical use for it and the deflationary model can only give damage to the global economy. On my thinking this isn't the case if this guy could only see how good the invention was. For me he was just talking non sense. Something that should not be entertained. Imagine how many lives have been saved by bitcoin in my locality. One was able to pay hospitalization, the other have been able to buy for him a house and lot, others have been able to buy a car to get to his job early, and so many other things.. See how people even made bitcoin atms and for just a simple reasoning bitcoin becomes useless and damaging? I think this guy has to wake up...

Read it here..

https://news.bitcoin.com/ey-bitcoin-no-practical-use-india/
well i do think you are completly wrong and also i believe the news are from india which i think the goverment are trying to manipulate their citizens to stay out from bitcoin. Bitcoin definetly have a value and also could become a blockchain, i believe you have heard about microsoft will using bitcoin for identity blockchain. So i dont agree with the statement bitcoin is useless.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Top Altcoin List? on: May 22, 2019, 04:05:41 PM

In the world of cryptocurrency, there is no question that Bitcoin remains to be the one and only certified King of them with 57% dominance of the market. All the rest are just called as Altcoins. However, there are good altcoins as well as shitcoins, of course. Some altcoins can be worth investing with because we are sure of their potential for future spark.

Now, having said that, here is my list of my top altcoins (in no particular order): Ethereum, BNB, XRP, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, EOS, Monero, Stellar, Dash, TRON, Cardano and Zcash.

What are the altcoins in your own list?
I always think the best coin to invest is the coin that related to blockchain development. I do hold Unibright, IOTA and Ethereum. I think unibright will be a gem in few years, they do have a good roadmap and they never lie to their investors even though the price is still low right now but i do believe when blockchain widely adopted the price will moving up.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments create their own cryptocurrency that will replace fiat? on: May 22, 2019, 06:23:06 AM
In the next 100 years, do you think Governments will create their own cryptocurrency or digital currency that will replace fiat currency, i.e. coins, paper money, the paper dollar,  etc.?

If it does happen, will it be like bitcoin or will it still represent gold like how today's money works?
well i do think they will do. Bitcoin has profen that transaction using cryptocurrency is trustable and effective for cross-border country. I do read about rusia going to make their own cryptocurrency, rusia is a big country, i think it would trigger others country to also make their own cryptocurrency.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin eventually disappear... on: May 22, 2019, 03:10:57 AM
There will be a fixed number if Bitcoins, and people, because of human error, will accidentally lose Bitcoins every now and then.

This must mean that Bitcoin will eventually seize to exist? Or at least shrink to minimal amounts, when it shrinks to a certain level, it will no longer be useful.

Is this correct?

Human error? Lol , it isn't an error. This is how this ecosystem is designed.
We will never know what will happen to Bitcoin after everything is mined and due to the fixed supply it has, as we will be possibly all dead. It needs so many years to pass in order to reach this time. And until this happens, demoting BTC into smaller amounts can still work as we care about the value and not for the decimals.
well right now what i see is bitcoin is more widely use and more use cases using bitcoin for blockchain technology, i strongly believe bitcoin will survive for a long time, but who knows what will happen in future.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't stress too much due to the bear market on: May 22, 2019, 01:18:35 AM
in my opinion, now many people are under stress because of their entry when the price is already very high and they expect prices to be higher again and again
at the price of 8100 and hopes to get 9000 usd / bitcoin
but the reality is now dropping to 7k and making people very loss and stress
but I am now safe enough to withdraw a few days ago
If you’re a trader you know when you cut you’re losses, don’t be other guy that always FOMO like buying high and selling low. Practice makes a lot so don’t be enter in a situation that you know you will just lose.
im agree, as a traders we need to know when to stop and when the perfect time to buy, i believe there is a lot of greedy person in cryptospace and think they could be rich just because their invest their money in cryptocurrency. My point is we need to be aware and be more real about the market condition and just remember you only lose when you sell, so just hold your coins in the bear market and wait for the market reversal.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what we can buy with bitcoin ?? on: May 21, 2019, 04:27:04 PM
With so much speculation surrounding Bitcoin, it’s worth evaluating what you can buy and transact with in Bitcoin for regular, everyday transactions as well as some more fringe use cases.

SO WHAT WE CAN BUY WITH BITCOIN IHEARS TRAVELS BUT THERE IS OTHER PRODUCT CAN BUY IT Huh?
Oh i believe you could buy anything if you have a great ammount of bitcoin, right now there is a lot of merchants that are started to accept bitcoin and seems like the payments using cryptocurrency are about to be widely adopted.
238  Economy / Economics / Re: Big risk ,big results. on: May 21, 2019, 03:33:20 PM
A guy bought a very big house, which triggered an argument on a telegram group.
some people were arguing on a telegram group that they guy couldn't have bought the house with only trading profit....some insinuated that he must be into other businesses.
I laughed at their ignorance.
Why? Because I know that even in this present market condition that some skilled traders are making a killing.
I'm not talking about traders who trade with small capital here.
The conclusion is that when you trade with massive capital ,you earn massively.
Well its true and i do believe high risk high return terms is really need to be consider when you invest in cryptocurrency. There is indeed some people who earn a lot from crypto but there is also many people who lose their money in cryptocurrency.
Big or good result does not come from taking big risks but comes from the ability to take a good cause. Good investors are known to make huge profits not because they take risk but they take time to study and analyze the market for some time. Finally, they come out with the right coins to invest in at a particular point in time. Their investments are always based on facts and analyzes and not risks.
Yet i do think there is a risk in every investments and what they do is predicting the movements of the markets and sometimes its out of the predictions and make you lose instead of earn money.
239  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 21, 2019, 02:18:33 AM

I have not been really into investing though I have some stocks with a premiere banking firm here in my country, which i just left in my broker's site idle for some years now. What made me excited into investing is cryptocurrency but unfortunately it was not bitcoin but a scamming project called TheBillionCoin which by name itself really sounded so dubious. Okay, I was still innocent and naive at the time. Soon, I meet bitcoin and it was not yet that pricey at the time but because I was not convinced that it can go sky-high I just bought some.

The main source of the money I invested with bitcoin comes from doing online job with a platform where we are allowed to post in many forums in exchange for some points and the those points can be converted to real money anytime.

What are the sources of the money you invested with bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Anybody here used credit cards?
I do invest using my salary that i got from doing my job, i do think investing using a credit card is very dangerous and too risky cause crypto has a high volatility which means you could lose everything.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a value reserve? on: May 20, 2019, 03:27:33 PM
Because could bitcoin represents a value reserve or acts as a "digital gold", really could it change the world in a deterministic sense?
Well i heard the news about rusia going to sell their gold for bitcoin. I do think it could be real in future but still i do think bitcoin is a bad choices for value reserve cause bitcoin has a high volatility which is not a good choices to store value. But who knows in future bitcoin could be usefull and also have less volatility like gold.
