221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit helping BTC on: August 29, 2017, 07:27:17 PM
Litecoin has gone to $64 all the way from $5. Segwit helped it happen. Will things like support for lightning network significantly assist Bitcoin's price?

We cannot argue that the lightning network is indeed necessary for Bitcoin since we experienced bottlenecks on the past transactions in Bitcoin. But will it really affect the price of Bitcoin? For me, it's a yes. If the users or new comers noticed the improvement of Bitcoin when it comes to transaction, then more and more people will be engaged in Bitcoin, thus increase in the demand. As a result, we can see significant increase on Bitcoin's price.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now Vietnam to legalize Bitcoin on: August 28, 2017, 07:36:58 PM
Earlier vietnam was very skeptical about bitcoin just like China and Russia. But now,it has changed its stand and has decided to legalize bitcoin. It is said that new regulations would be implemented by the year end.

         www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-26/vietnam-plans-legalize-bitcoin-2018

That is a great news. I can see a wonderful opening of 2018. More and more countries are starting to review Bitcoin and eventually accepts it as a method of payment. I just hope that Vietnam will utilize Bitcoin to its fullest could propagate the knowledge about Bitcoin through its citizens. I am foreseeing a price increase. Cheesy
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that in near future BTC would be connected with mobile number? on: August 28, 2017, 07:12:27 PM
Hi guys and girls.
What do you think will they ever make BTC connected with our mobile numbers (so we could pay with it)?  Cool

As far as I know, we are already there. There are some wallets (web/online wallet) who requires mobile numbers for the construction of their Bitcoin wallet. The users can easily send Bitcoins using a person's mobile number considering that both parties have the same type of wallet and have verified their mobile number to the web wallet. This is very common to some countries that announced their  acceptance of Bitcoin. It is based from the phrase "know your customer" so by connecting the mobile number, they can know who owns the wallet.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: August 28, 2017, 07:07:28 PM
Hello, I've been hovering around bitcoin for months and I want to become an expert in it. What resources are available and what steps can I take to know all there is to know about bitcoin and possibly reproduce the technology involved.
Thank you.

Being an expert on something is not that easy. And to a complicated technology like Bitcoin, you might find it hard to accomplish your want. If you really want to be an expert in regards of Bitcoin, you must the whole system. Read the whitepaper of Bitcoin Satoshi provided. Study the source code to know and understand how it works. You must trace back up to the point when Bitcoin was just born. Being an expert in Bitcoin is no a smooth road, it is full of bumps and humps. An exceptional knowledge and experience is needed.

Please let me say this to you, Good luck.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How strong is Bitcoin compared to others cyptocurrency? on: August 27, 2017, 08:16:40 PM
Hi Everyone,

I am new and doing research on Bitcoin and some other cyptocurrencies. Just wondering if i were to invest, will Bitcoin be one of the safest to dump my money into?

Thanks and hope to hear your opionion soon people! Smiley

Bitcoin has proven its strength with the past years of its existence and as you can see, Bitcoin is still standing tall and proves other wrong. If you are asking about the profitability, then Bitcoin is not the way to dump your money. Try some alts that are with good quality and a great applications. That would be much profitable compared to investing in Bitcoin.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: August 27, 2017, 08:13:41 PM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

There is a big chance that we will live on a cashless society. Some researchers are going to that part of the road but we will not see it anytime sooner. The physical money is the one that is going to be removed and not the real money. The real money will always exist, that depends on people what they classify as real money.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: August 27, 2017, 08:03:38 PM
Bitcoin has become the world most valuable asset and the value keeps going higher!

Why not we should focus on saving more bitcoins than selling our last remaining bitcoins?

I read and hear from a lot of guys owning bitcoin saying, should I sell my bitcoins?

The issues is, if you sell all your bitcoins when are you going to buy at lower price?

There's no guarantee when exactly bitcoin price will surely come down.

Share your thoughts about what you think guys. Smiley

As to what you've stated, we cannot know exactly when will Bitcoin go down or up, the only thing we can do is speculate. So if we sell out Bitcoins, it may be hard to get on again since it is expected that Bitcoin will increase in value over time. But if the sole purpose of selling is to buy in again, then that is a different story. Some do this "trading" stuff and it is pretty risky.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: August 27, 2017, 07:55:14 PM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes

Bitcoin is better than Gold in many aspect. First is the portability. You cannot easily transport a bag of gold that is worth $1M compared to $1M worth of Bitcoin. Bitcoin can go from place to place with just a push of a button unlike golds where you have to carry loads of them. Next is divisibility, you cannot divide gold easily but Bitcoin can be divided into 100M satoshi. Security. Bitcoin is much secured than Gold. Thief can easily snatch the gold out of your hand while Bitcoins are encrypted with private keys. There are many more aspect but these are the top ones.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: August 27, 2017, 06:33:24 PM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?

I agree on what the you've said based from the article you've read. Bitcoin is far too volatile in nature because of its decentralization. Yes, currencies (fiat) are volatile but not too volatile like Bitcoin. Let us use a scenario/analogy in order to understand it easily. You bought a product A for $1, the next day you bought another product A and still paid $1 for it. If Bitcoin is to be used, (assume 1BTC=1USD) you paid 1BTC on the first day and on the next day, you might pay 0.5BTC, 2BTC, 1.5BTC or whatever. You see how difficult to pay with Bitcoin.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin acceptance on: August 25, 2017, 06:56:29 PM
You can pay with Bitcoin in several stores and even restaurants here in Germany. Are we the only one who have this?  Huh

I doubt that you are the only one that can spend Bitcoin directly to merchants. I am quite aware about the formal announcement of Japan, they started accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment last April. After that event, many merchant and businesses began accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment. The last news I remember, even an airport in Japan accepts Bitcoin.
231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do you think about pump and dump? on: August 25, 2017, 06:37:14 PM
what do you think about pump and dump?  did you ever trade on pump and dump event? can you give few tips for how to make money from this events? what i need to look for?

These pumps and dumps are very common to cryptocurrencies. This is due to the fact that they are decentralized and the variable for their price is the demand and supply in the market. The act of trading based from the pumps and dumps, for me, is a very difficult task. You have to have knowledge about the analysis of price charts as well as some experiences so that you can speculate accurately. If you want to trade, you have to monitor the market very often and formulate some predictions based on the past patterns. You must also be aware of what's happening in the cryptocurrency world because news are crucial to the price change in a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: August 25, 2017, 06:26:03 PM
How common is Bitcoin in Asia? Just want to know Huh

There is no way to measure how popular is Bitcoin in the Asian countries. However, I can provide some information about Bitcoin in Asia. Bitcoin exploded in the Asian countries when Japan officially accepted Bitcoin as a mode of payment. This happened last April. Since then, Bitcoin's price surged and eventually reached the 2000 dollar mark. Then, one by one some countries announced their official acceptance of Bitcoin as a mode of payment. There's India, Australia (not Asian), and South Korea.
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: August 23, 2017, 03:11:38 PM
I have sent BTC yesterday but one day passed it is not confirmed, I have raised mining fee, this sucks.

That's unfortunate for you to experience that. But I guess that issue doesn't indicate the end of bitcoin. There might just be an issue with the exchange you used. Besides how does a cryptocurrency die when more and more people invest in it? Btc will die if and only if all of its investors pull out their investments.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: August 23, 2017, 02:56:01 PM
I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me

Well I guess the reason why some countries don't support bitcoin is that they are skeptical. They might be afraid that btc will be used in illegal activities.  But mostly is that they cannot control it since it is decentralized.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: August 15, 2017, 01:02:25 PM
I think because bitcoin is decentralized so there's nobody like government and banks can manipulate it. And that the value is higher than any other currencies.  The profit we can gain here is much greater.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: August 12, 2017, 07:32:45 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

I joined bitcoin investment for the sole purpose of having an extra income that can fund my travel and leisure plans with my family. It's good to have to be able to travel to places knowing that you won't have to get some from your salary. It really sucks to travel if you don't have enough funds that's why I looked for other source of income.  And I'm glad to have found btc.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: July 18, 2017, 04:01:45 PM
What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

For me, bitcoin is a life changer. It opened opportunities for me to have another source of income without spending too much effort and time especially if you have a day job. It is a convenient way to earn from the comfort of our homes. Some are lucky enough that they got rich out of bitcoin. And some are using bitcoin as another source of income to get by and to pay their bills. What's keeping me here is of course the profits. The great profits that I am saving for my future. Like a retirement plan maybe.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 18, 2017, 03:55:41 PM
At some point it's true. Bitcoin can be a fast way to get rich. But then again, it is an investment. There's always risk when it comes to investment. Given that bitcoin is famous nowadays and its value is rising again, It sure is a way to get rich. But, only if you know how to manage it. It takes a lot of knowledge and patience if you are going to invest in it. Yes, it is an instant way to get rich but it can be also an instant way to be poor. Especially if you are new in cryptocurrencies and has no enough knowledge in investing.
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin Price going to rise smoothly now or will dip again before 1 Aug? on: July 18, 2017, 03:49:05 PM
Well it is really hard to predict on what will happen for the next days to come. But in my opinion, bitcoin's value will depreciate during the last week of July and will rise again by mid August. That's just my prediction. Who knows what will happen during those weeks. But I sure hope my prediction is right because I'm gonna invest more in bitcoin when the deflation happens. That will be the best time to invest because I'm pretty certain that it will rise up to $2500-$2800 after August 1.
240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet without transaction fee on: July 18, 2017, 02:26:47 PM
Haven't heard of any bitcoin wallet that does not charge anything for transaction fees. They also use resources that they pay through their profit from transaction fees. So it is just reasonable that they require a transaction fee. Besides nothing is free in this world that exists and ran by money, seriously. It won't hurt to pay a small amount in exchange of their services though. What I think you should be asking is a wallet that does not ask too much for a transaction fee.
