Even majority of my investment was from altcoins, but still the massive price fall of bitcoin drags down all the altcoins price I already losing morethan -65%of my portfolio but still i have no second thought to sell my alts as i am confident price may recover once market become bullish i will keep holding until i can recover my investment even if it takes several years.

Bitcoin may comtinue to show dominance in the crypto market for the coming years but with the word forever I doubt it can sustain its position as the number one crypto coin. as many other coins who show competitiveness and anytime can burst and replace bitcoins spot. |

I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

I still believe etherium wiuld be the closest competitor of bitcoin even lot of new altcoins are introduced day on day etherium is proven to stand against many fud and negative news thrown out to it. with its erc20 smart contract which widely used and adopt by many altcoins , eth may prove its value overtime. |

After participating in ICOs by buying some tokens or participating in bounties, the moment their tokens are listed in exchanges, what do you do guys, do you sell your tokens right away or wait for a more higher price to come?
When I participate in ico I don't right away sell even prices are falling i just keep holding for several months until price msy settle doen snd start to recover and i don't buy ico unless I'm confident that the project have a succesful platform in the future. |

For me I'm not excited because I don't have money left to invest in low price coins. all my coins are currently falling and i can't sell it to buy for a much cheaper coins since I'm in loss. but for those who have the money to purchase some bargain coins maybe they are happy since prices are very cheap right now |

I think 2018 woul be the start of massive blockchain adoptation and the effect of development may felt in tje mid of 2019 or early 2020 where blockchain may the primary platform for online transaction. |

I have been in the market for awhile, and always hear the same mantra about trading to hold more Bitcoin and not Fiat. I bought into the same mentality for a long time, but I'm changing my tune. In almost every industry, first generation leaders are replaced by competition. From Sears, Kmart, Nokia, Motorola, Yahoo, MySpace, etc. Although Bitcoin is the current crypto reserve currency, I think that its dominance is threatened by ALT coins with faster, cheaper transactions and greater scalability. What do you think? Is it smart to hold Bitcoin as a long-term investment, or are there better choices among the ALT coins like Ethereum or Litecoin?
For less volatility and resiliency i hsve to pick bitcoin for longterm investment but if you sre looking for high return thouvh it is riskier thanks bitcoin, eth, neo or sda is a good choice current price is still cheap snd probability of esrning bigger is higher compsred to bitcoin |

The Bitcoin is reaching $10,000 again. Personally, I think cryptos will be the future, even some countries already banned them, like China and South Korea. Recently, an news shaped my eyes again, it said that the investment banking powerhouse Goldman Sachs will start trading Bitcoin futures using its own money. Bitcoin (BTC.X): will this rally sustain?Do you think bitcoin will continue to increase?After almost 4months of correction we saw reversal on market trend slowly but surely bitcoin climb to almost 10k from 6k+ last 2weeks with strong support i guess once 10k is breach expect 12.5k to be the next goal price to watch. just to clarify bitcoin is not to tally banned to china and south korea they only want to imposed regulation fircthe securiry of their citizen who waNt to invest in crypto market |

I think it's safer to keep the money in the bank but it's more profitable to invested in the crypto currency market !
I can say our money is more safer in bank than in crypto but for investment perspective putting your money in crypto is much profitable than putting it in bank with the current price of bitcoin i think it is still low risk to enter at this current price. be sure you are ready to face consequences and pressure once you invest in crypto. volatility of price is very unpredictable. |

I think it's not far if i say that dollar and bitcoin are actually the leaders of their platforms. What's also crazy is how this forum served as the source of consumers and a big factor in increasing the acceptability of bitcoin by people. Really the design and everything about this community is genius.
Through this site all crypto currencies are being promited from ico until it introduce to market bitcointalk.org really play a major role in promoting not only bitcoin but entire cryptocurrency coins, its uses and unique service it offers to companies and people. bitcoin is a digital currency that serves as intermidiary between physical money and online transaction it may served or used. |

As for now btc is constant on 8 to 10k $ and it will take too much time now to reach its peak of above 20k $ per bitcoin and the fact is no one can guess when it will grow that much in upcoming time may be next year or after 5 year but all believe it will cross 20k $
but did u guess last time right and sold all ur btc at 20 k $ cause me sold it that time and buyed after 1 month on 12k $ peak luckly me guess it right

Accept the fact that most of governments will oppose crypto currency. Obviously there are some countries who have decided to embrace the future, but let's face it, most of governments will stand against. Who likes their currency to be weaken? Every time a stupid country opposes bitcoin, there is so much fud and a great price drop.
China bans mining
South Korea will not ban crypto but obviously does not welcome it
India banning crypto
I fully expected this resistance from governments.
Don't be surprised if more countries come out against bitcoin
Guys Governments don't totally ban crypto they want to be regulated to ensure security of their citizen who invest in crypto and they are also asking taxes which could be a burden to traders and investors of crypto coins  |

You are right, bitcoin investment sound easy you just buy hold and sold but once you are in actual situation there is no easy way to invest in bitcoin you need to have proper timing when to buy and when to hold or sold your coins and you have patience when market is down or bearish. In general Bitcoin investment need proper timing when to get in and get out.

Since bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies markets get into bearish trend since December 16, 2017 we have seeing alot of comments and post about people and traders asking were is the bottom and should we buy and hold? I think personally, the downward trend is over when bitcoin push above $10,250 and $10,850 this morning! The bullish trend has been trigger and bitcoin is going to break the December high of $19,000 and move above that level towards $25,000 before we can see another major bearish again. What did you think?
It seems bearish market is over bitcoin support in 9k$ territory is getting stronger though it doesn't hit the 10k$ level but once it is done for a short consolidation at 9k$ level probably it will try to breach the 10k$ resistance and once it breach probably it would be a confirmatory sign that bearish seasin is over. |

For me it is both it only depends on what situation are you in. If you are planning to buy it is an opportunity when bitcoin price is falling as what happen from the past months and it is a challenge when you bought from the top and suddenly price fall hard. you may get panic how to recover your loss. so bitcoin is a challenge and at also an opportunity it only varies on what necessity you are in at tje current time.

even market is unpredictable and seeing it in green color is a good to our eyes it makes our day more relaxing and stress free. thougj i personally trust it but it is better to see green in your portfolio than to saw it in green. |
