221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a Wallet APP that supports any ERC20 TOKENS on: May 01, 2020, 12:17:13 PM
At one time, I hoped I could win something from this kind of bounty. But sorry that period has closed a long time ago. Few projects that can really succeed now deal with bounty. Personally, if I was a project owner and I was running a marketing activity, I would definitely start a campaign in this forum and I would organize it very well. Because this is one of the best places for something new to be born.

[1] WARNING - Coinomi Wallet CRITICAL Vulnerability Made Me Lose My Life Savings
[2] Lost all of my coins

That's just a couple of example of Coinomi's security flaw. And as @pooya87 has pointed out, it is a closed source application. I wouldn't even trust any satoshi.
Hi vycl87, the "critical" vulnerability you quoted never resulted on any loss of funds, you can read the detailed forensic study here showing how the event was an attempt to extort Coinomi in the first place: https://twitter.com/kimionis/status/1131945228506738688
As for the second link, the user never got to open a support ticket, so all we have is a report from a random person on the internet and no way to verify any of the claims. There are other reports, which have all been traced back to the user mishandling their recovery phrases. It's very unfortunate how often we see users saving their phrases as a screenshot (which promptly gets backed up on the cloud), sharing their phrases with others, or even sending them directly to scammers. We do the best we can to educate and warn users, but due to the huge size of our userbase, you will find such examples online. More details about all the security features employed by Coinomi can be found here

I understand you. I usually try every wallet for a few days. I also experienced Coinomi for a short time. I did not live in a problem. But I also do research on the wallets I have tried. And I often encountered such problems in my searches related to Coinomi.

As a result of these problems, you stated that there is no loss of funds. I am very happy about that, but after that happens, it makes no sense.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a Wallet APP that supports any ERC20 TOKENS on: April 30, 2020, 08:46:50 PM
Friends, a lot has been discussed about Coinomi. But I think some of us continue to overlook. Although there are some people who use Coinomi and do not encounter any problems, there are quite a few people who encounter the problem and cannot find a solution. And if I were at your place, I wouldn't take such a risk when it comes to money.

223  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to BUY 100,000BTC on: April 30, 2020, 08:38:13 PM
Our client is looking to buy up to 100,000BTC from private seller/s.

Please help us by recommending the most reliable escrow service here on Bitcointalk.org.

We will only accommodate seller/s with large quantity of Bitcoin. Thanks

100.000 BTC = Apr. 870.000.000$ (The currency is constantly changing. For example, it could have been over 900 million in the morning)

And someone who will invest about $ 1 billion is looking for help here. Did I get it right?

Do you think there is something wrong with that? I am sure someone who will make such a big investment would have already received support from a consultant and made this purchase. For example, I know that a few major exchanges provide special support in this regard.

I vote for Texas Poker.

1) Each game takes only a few minutes.
2) You can play with real people.
3) It requires not only luck but strategy.
4) Human psychology is included in the game.
5) Simple as anyone can play.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency crime in Netherlands. on: April 30, 2020, 02:28:34 PM
I think there is no source to prove the accuracy of the subject yet. However, if it existed, it wouldn't matter. For centuries, fraud, smuggling and many illegal acts have been carried out for centuries all over the world. It doesn't matter if this happens with any FIAT, gold or silver, or cryptocurrencies. The wrong thing here is that the action taken is illegal. I think if we adjust our focus accordingly, we can look from a better place.

Cryptocurrencies offers us some opportunities. It is also possible to use the wrong way to use it correctly. As with everything, there are both advantages and disadvantages here. We have to act accordingly with this thinking.
226  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: FERRUM NETWORK Hakkında Gelişmeler. [STAKING 2.0: FRM Stake and Earn Duyuruldu!] on: April 30, 2020, 12:11:14 PM

A kişisi B kişisine 1 ETH veya 10000 FRM gönderecek. Bunu yapmak için cüzdan adresine gerek duymadan, Unifyre içinde Link gönderme özelliğiyle istediği miktarı yazıp link oluşturacak ve o linki para göndermek istediği kişiye istediği bir şekilde ulaştıracak. (Telegram/Whatsapp/Facebook...)

Linki alan kişi linki Unifyre cüzdanla birlikte açacak ve blockchain üzerinde aktarım işlemi başlayacak. Gerekli onaylar alınır alınmaz, ilgili miktar linki açan kişinin cüzdanına aktarılmış olacak.

Bununla ilgili Telegram grubumuzda bir demo videosu paylaştık isteyen arkadaşlar oradan izleyebilir: https://t.me/Ferrumnetworktu/19567

Ayrıca Unifyre cüzdan ve kullananlara sağlanacak avantajlar ile ilgili yayınlanan makaleyi Türkçe'ye çevirdim;

https://medium.com/@vycl987/unifyre-c%C3%BCzdan-topluluk-faydalar%C4%B1-ae4c6d989d9

For plebs, although it's bad OPSEC, I believe it MIGHT be OK to use a wallet to HODL some $100 worth of altcoins, but would you actually trust a wallet that's not fully open source for $500,000 worth of altcoins?

Nobody can claim otherwise in this regard. Hot wallets always pose risks. However, I have never encountered anyone who has had a big problem with the wallets I shared here.

Cold wallets should always be preferred for investments involving large sums. For this, you can find dozens of reviews written in the forum. Especially Ledger and Trezor may be one of the best options in this regard.
And if you want to see how important cold wallets are, watch the short film in the post I quoted below. This fan-made amateur movie can help you have a great half hour.

Bu dönemde film bulmakta zor valla. Netflix yüzünden dizici olduk çıktık.
Ama geçen akşam "Extraction" ı izledim. (Yine Netflix filmi) Aksiyon severlerin soluksuz izleyebileceği bir filmmiş. Evde kalırken izlenecek güzel filmler bulmak önemli.

Ben artık yavaş yavaş eski filmlere dönüş yapmaya da başladım. Dün Hobbit ve Yüzüklerin Efendisi serisini arka arkaya izlemeye başladım. IMDB top 100 ardı ardına izlenebilir gibi. Özellikle böyle boş zaman bulunabilen zamanlarda seri filmler izlenebilir.

Aklıma ilk gelenler;

1- Hobbit ve The Lord Of the Rings
2- Fast and Furious
3- Back the to Future
4- Indiana Jones
5- James Bond
6- Tüm çeşit süper kahraman filmleri ( Avengers, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Superman, Batman, ...)
7- Expendables
8- Saw
9- Ice Age
10- Mission Impossible
11- Ocean's 11-12-13
12- ...

I was using a free Mobile Wallet app, where i had send some new ERC20 TOKENS to the Ether Address in the wallet. Later i found it only support major TOKENS.

I can't able to send the tokens out, since i dont have access to PVT KEY.. Is there any Mobile APP that can support all types of ERC20 TOKENS..

-----please share. would be helpful for many new token holders, So to manage easily the tokens in APP.. --------

There is no need to look for it.
Almost all wallets support ERC20 tokens.

This is my post about some mobile wallets and all of it supports ERC20 tokens
My Wallet's Reviews (Trust, Enjin, Infinito ...etc)

Plus, you may want to learn about myetherwallet and metamask for ETH and its token. I think these two wallets also very important for Ethereum blockchain. Both has a mobile wallet also.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why there is no Standard Marketplace like Amazon with BTC as payment method?? on: April 27, 2020, 06:42:32 PM
I know...there are smaller marketplaces that people can buy/sell goods via bitcoin, but why a major marketplace is not emerging??

I know for a fact, there is a huge demand for purchasing of goods with BTC...even users from this forum is enough to give the marketplace a supply chain issue Grin Grin

1. is the problem in supply side? are sellers worried taking payments via BTC bcas of volatility
2. is there a logistically inefficiency, that smaller sellers can never compete with the likes of amazon
3. is the transaction speed an issue for retail transactions?? major cards payments are done instantly (maybe this speed is needed for impulse purchases Cheesy)

Comment below...thanks i'm a newbie here Roll Eyes

Soon my friend soon.
People just getting used to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Soon we will be able to pay much more platforms with BTC.

There is no issue with your said. And yes transaction speed is important and we have to see some progress about block speed.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 Explained - An Infographic on: April 27, 2020, 04:51:19 PM
Under normal circumstances, I was expecting the price to jump upward with Bitcoin halving. However, it makes me think that everyone starts talking about it. In an environment where everyone is expecting the same thing, I think not everyone has a chance to make money. I still have expectations for Bitcoin, it just makes me think about when we can see a new ATH.

However, in this process, I think the performance of altcoins becomes more important. During the previous Bitcoin run, altcoins accompanied by it. I'm not sure if it will be the same this time.
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: What this Bitcoin halving bring? Does the Bitcoin price go up or down? on: April 27, 2020, 08:30:45 AM
If we look at the historical data, it may be reasonable to wait for the price to rise in an average of about a year. However, history may not always recur. Therefore, I suggest you not to be price-oriented in the short term.

Increasing block rewards after halving may not be sufficient for a price increase alone. In addition, we should see FOMO, a psychological positive atmosphere. Those who remember 2017 remember that the price continues to increase day by day. We cannot explain this with data alone. Whales, institutional players, block reward, awareness-raising, and of course FOMO! It should not be forgotten that, when the price increase expectation comes, the increasing volume increases the price. And when it starts, it may be possible to see very rapid price increases from time to time.
234  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which is the best cold wallet? on: April 26, 2020, 12:40:45 PM
then a paper wallet is a much more suitable option as it isn't affected by data decay and corruption than any digital storage could experience.

I'm going to suggest going with mobile wallets instead of paper wallets to be honest. The private keys are a lot less likely to get leaked with creating a wallet on a mobile phone, and simply writing down the seed in comparison to creating a paper wallet on an unencrypted online home computer in my opinion.

when the "paper wallet" is mentioned it always refers to the correct way of creating it not the wrong way (on an online possibly compromised computer). if you create it correctly offline then nothing can compete with it. specifically a mobile wallet that has a lot more ways of being leaked.

There is no mobile "cold" wallet. All mobile wallets can be called a hot wallet.
A paper wallet is easy to create and it is completely free. If someone creates a paper wallet with secure way there is no need to be a worry as you said.
But if you can, buying a hardware wallet always can be the best way. Hardware wallets require to spend some money but the safest and comfortable way of holding crypto assets.
235  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet on: April 25, 2020, 10:45:32 AM
Just a few simple commands and taa daaa.
And similarly, just a few simple commands from an attacker and all your coins are gone.

I'm not arguing that mobile wallets aren't easy to use, I'm simply saying that the minor inconvenience of plugging in a hardware wallet and typing in the PIN (what are we talking here? 15 seconds?), is well worth the huge increase in security that a hardware wallet brings over a mobile wallet.

I use a mobile wallet myself, because I agree it is hugely convenient. However, I only ever keep a very small amount of bitcoin on it - an amount I might spend on a day-to-day basis, and an amount I wouldn't even flinch at losing if my phone was stolen or hacked, because I appreciate just how insecure mobile wallets are.

I said in my 1st post in this topic already. Hot wallets always carry more risks then hardware ones.  That is certain.
I just think mobile wallets are easy to use. But yes, we never should keep small amount of assets.
236  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet on: April 25, 2020, 10:10:26 AM
Cold wallets usually are hard to make a transaction. You should reach to the device (if it is not paper wallets), type the pin, and reach to the dashboard.
There is always going to be a trade off between ease of use and security. If you want something that is incredibly easy to use (as easy as unlocking your phone, for example), then it's also going to be incredibly easy to attack. There needs to be a safe compromise. Saying that all cold wallets are hard to make a transaction from is incorrect, though. If you are using a classical paper wallet, and you need to import your keys and create a new paper wallet to manually direct the change to, then sure, that would be hard for most people. The trade off is a hardware wallet - not quite as secure as a paper wallet, but still incredibly more secure than a hot wallet, and it is as easy to make a transaction from it as plugging it in and typing in your PIN code. A few seconds extra work, certainly not hard, and huge improvements to security over a hot wallet. Hardware wallets are the best security/ease of use compromise for many bitcoin users.

I can understand you. However, using cold wallets can never be as simple as mobile wallets. Yes, sometimes it can be just as easy as plug in + type pin, but in the other, none of these are required. Just a few simple commands and taa daaa.
237  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet on: April 24, 2020, 11:24:17 AM
There is no complete safety in this manner. If you are keeping cryptocurrencies in your wallets (no matter which one you're using), there are always some risks. But hot wallets (I mean online ones) always carries a little bit more risks.
I mean, you are correct in saying there is no 100% guaranteed safe way to store your coins, just as there is no 100% guaranteed safe way to prevent your computer from being hacked. But saying that hot wallets carry "a little bit more risk" than cold storage is far from accurate. I could list 100 potential ways you could lose funds from a hot wallet, from the wallet provider exit scamming, to having poor security on their servers, to your account being phished, to clipboard malware on your computer, all of which would be several orders of magnitude more likely to happen than someone breaking in to your house, finding your cold storage, breaking the encryption on it, and stealing your coins from it. Hot wallets carry an exponentially higher risk of loss of your coins than using proper cold storage.

It's like comparing a computer which is connected to a public WiFi without any security measures in place, with a computer without a WiFi card, ethernet card, or other internet accessing hardware, which is permanently offline, and locked in safe. Sure, neither is 100% safe, but one is vastly superior to the other.

Definitely. I think we should choose mobility or safety first when choosing wallets.

Hot wallets usually are useful and easy to make a transaction. But also always has risks.
Cold wallets usually are hard to make a transaction. You should reach to the device (if it is not paper wallets), type the pin, and reach to the dashboard. A little bit confusing than hot wallets.

BTW, I just read a post and there is a movie about Bitcoin and a cold wallet. I think you may want to watch it learn how cold wallets are safe.

It was the most enjoyable amateur video content I've watched recently. Trezor should have been a sponsor for this movie. It made me think we had to watch this movie to get more people to recognize Bitcoin.

The movie talks about beautifully, both reliable BTC storage methods and that Bitcoin isn't actually a very complicated thing. It is also mentioned that the block reward is 6.25 BTC. So the movie tells about the post-halving. The estimate of 42K € frankly cheered me up.

(BTW, I watched this video with subtitles in Youtube. And I want to posting about it in my local board.)

I am trying all wallets as much as possible. It is so practical to use online wallets like Coinomi, Trust or Infinito, etc. These are all installed your device and keep it all secure files in it.
But as so many people already said here, we can't say that these are safe. So, it is not trusted also.

We should agree on something. There is no complete safety in this manner. If you are keeping cryptocurrencies in your wallets (no matter which one you're using), there are always some risks. But hot wallets (I mean online ones) always carries a little bit more risks.

There are some accusations for Coinomi wallets. Some people had lost their assets somehow. I didn't hear about the Trust wallet any complaint yet! But always we can see some issues. Therefore, more reliable methods should be preferred for long-term keeping assets.
