221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Taxing Bitcoins Possible? on: January 22, 2018, 10:29:11 AM
Governments dont tax financial transactions (normally), they tax capital gains (profits) or income (from traders making an income).  Same rules apply to cryptocurrencies. And normally its on you as a law abiding citizen to follow your country's tax law and declare your gains/income.  If you dont, and they find out, big fines and possible imprisonment.  So make as much money as you like within cryptocurrency world, as soon as you exit you will be liable to tax.  Buy services direct with Bitcoin might help stay under the radar, or full under the threshold for investigation.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Substitute Cryptocurrency for BTC.... on: January 21, 2018, 07:26:30 PM
What do you want to substitute?  Value?  well Bitcoin is indeed the highest value, but what does that really mean in practice?  Or do you mean function, in which case there are a half dozen substitutes, are accepted for trade or offer better functionality (ie contracts).  Notice how the domination of BTC against total crypto market cap have gone down to ~34%.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeepOnion Coin and Ripple Coin the best of 2018?? on: January 21, 2018, 11:02:22 AM
Bleeding DeepOnion pushers.  One day you'll realise DeepOnion is of little interest to those outside the airdrop and pump group.  Not knocking it as a coin, its serves function for those that want it, but that market is small.

Ripple is the compete opposite isn't it, being the establishment's coin of choice?
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $12000 to invest in long term. Which coin? :D on: January 20, 2018, 05:08:51 PM
Definately include lisk.

A huge update is coming on Feb 20th, with a rebranding and much more. This is one of the biggest updates of the year imo.

A project like Lisk needs to focus on delivery, not branding.  If it thinks branding is the way forward, it signals the managment are more interested in image to drive price, than platform function and service to drive value.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of these news? No FUD intended on: January 20, 2018, 12:22:13 AM
Believe nothing in the Express.  Its a trashy tabloid that will write anything for sensationalism, it'll be devoid of facts or attributable quotes, and work an angle on Princess Diana if they can.

SEC is simply saying "remember law applies to crypto too!".
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to arbitrage coins? on: January 19, 2018, 07:52:33 AM
Pretty soon I'm gona have a good amount of coins in kucoin exchange. Beforr just placing BTC to my wallet it seems pretty attractive to play with rates and get some profit from arbitrage. For example on kucoin dashcoin cost almost 100$ less than in HitBTC exchange so I will be able to make some hundreeds just by sending money from one exchange account to another (and this is without bothering with korean exchanges).
It seems too good to be true. Can anyone enlight me about any possible risks of doing this stuff?

Main risk is accounts getting blocked i think.  Also need to check carefully minimums and even whether you can withdraw.  If it were easy to buy on one exchange send to another and sell im pretty sure the arbs would disappear, as they do in real markets.  On the other hand i know of one exchange that consistently ~$500-1k higher than other exchanges, so perhaps people simply arent paying attention?
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are BTC and ETH More Centralized Than Most Realize? on: January 18, 2018, 03:11:15 PM
This is not new, its always been the way since ASIC came on the scene, with the centralisation beginning with mining pools.

But the flaw is in the original design, as above there was only naive ambition for the future of bitcoin.  Maybe Satoshi simply didnt know about the efficiency of GPU mining and the arms race that would lead to?  Though surely the idea that a specialist miner could have be conceived and designed against.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to analyse recently added coins/tokens on CoinMarketCap on: January 18, 2018, 02:10:25 PM
My advise if you are new is dont look at coins and tokens recently added to CMC.  This is a terrible strategy for some one without knowledge.  Look further a field for information on established coins at first, and use CMC only for reference, quick snapshot info on graph/volume etc.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a 100X opportunity? on: January 18, 2018, 01:37:35 PM
Can you explain for me,please, what's this ledger?A lot of people talk about it

Sure, here we go:

Fluidledger means that the ledger will find its niche like water (fluid) always flows from a high concentration to a low concentration. Fluidledger executes effective decisions, in increasingly complex, dynamically changing environments. Fluidledger will keep turning over stones exploring NEW opportunities and is not limited by a set of parameters. This gives Fluidledger a comparative advantage in the cryptocurrency space.

Fantastic verbosity.  Alas you have not actually described what it is but what it intends to do, and opened up the question how is fluidledger going to achieve any of these things?
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: January 18, 2018, 01:27:13 PM
Res Ipsa Loquitur: 6 simple facts of TRON
The TRON team has grown to 78 people and 80% of them are developers. We have a very strong technology team from Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu and Microsoft. With incredible progress in development, our source code was released on Github on December 20, 2017. We will expand to 100 people in the first quarter of 2018. https://github.com/tronprotocol/

All those developers, so little updates  Undecided
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 18, 2018, 01:11:29 PM
S scam you say. The guy above made 700% profit.
I must say it is a nice earning money scam lol

Yes, thats the idea behind a ponzi scheme.  Some make profits, the leaders make a lot of profits, those near the end... not so much.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: January 18, 2018, 01:06:32 PM
Justin has a lot of big people under his team so I have lot's of trust on TRX

Who?  And when do you think they might start making commits to the Github?

Former Alibaba Technical Expert of Smart Marketing - Olivier Zhang
Former ‘’Four Banks‘’ Top Security Expert - Zhang Anwen to name a few and they have lot's of partnerships so two thumbs up for this.

I love copy/paste Medium headlines, accept them with no actual information behind them.  Look forward to their input, if they are indeed joining (and why these positions not filled months ago!)

And another thing, can any tell me what the Internet 3.0 was that tron is replacing with 4.0?
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electroneum shilling on: January 18, 2018, 12:58:54 PM
I dont ever try to invest in this token. I know this token is backed up by their government australia ( if i am not wrong ) so thats why etn grow so much in value. The back up is very strong.

Wrong coin, this is UK based.  The one you refer to is relating to power (powerledger?)

At least this thread is honest in its objective. Its a good point, the focus on mobile will open it up to relatively untapped market of the youth.

Down to around 0.006 on coinexchange now though so I sold at a good time. People should hold most of it until they announce what they have planned.

They announced they shut down didn't they?  Very odd situation, Ponzi closes, people still buy into it  Huh
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a 100X opportunity? on: January 18, 2018, 10:10:58 AM
No what a scam. Thanks for telling us about this one so we don't have to invest in it! Thank you!!

Fluidledger has more participants than many other coins!
You guys need to look into things before making statements off the top of your head

According to who?  Oh, the ICO sales pitch.  Well thats me convinced!  Roll Eyes
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New alt coin says it can beat Bitcoin. on: January 18, 2018, 09:23:39 AM
I like the claim "At the moment 70% of visitors register for ICO" made back in middle of December, and still exactly the same on the website today  Cheesy
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a 100X opportunity? on: January 18, 2018, 09:11:14 AM
A coin advertising it will go x100 is a massive red flag.  If so sure of the value of the coin, why not sell at a higher price?  A coin launch should focus on the function and use of the coin, not its future monetary value.  Putting this as point 2 of the ICO shows where their focus lies.

The whole idea of Fluidledger is to give value like Bitcoin did when it started!

No, the idea of Fluidledger is to raise cash for the founders.  Its an airdrop with a sales pitch to get people to buy more.  Its not even using its own tech, sitting on Waves it seems!  And the whitepaper is no more than a press release content wise, its just telling you how to buy coins and some sound bites.

TRX is a stable crypto currency with stable vision,

There's nothing "stable" about the fall and rise of Tron in two weeks, and the vision is currently unknown since they withdrew their whitepaper.
