Im sure it will be public soon . Tongue

yeah, as another pyramid scheme where the early adopters who were willing to take the risk of PM'ing the OP will reap all the rewards while everyone else is too late to the party ...

Don't underestimate the youthful naivety of a prospective miner. I wouldn't expect there to be any less miners total. How could there be, when everyday there is another poor bloke making a thread looking for a loan so they can solo mine and then pay you back with a profit within a few months? Bitcoin mining shatters dreams Undecided

At least those guys will be left with a respectable and resalable PC when it's all said and done. The thousands of people who get sucked into Amway and similar scams end up with a pile of worthless crap.

Maybe they will, but their lenders will have "got sucked into" their false promises (which aren't even intentional, just delusional).

A bunch of pessimists.  What does it hurt to give it a try?  Bitcoin has to become more accessible somehow!

Exactly, and 24 hours later, the site is pretty much up and running, now we just need product lists from merchants Smiley

Hey man ... we got our first guy right above you. I'll update the collab site.
231  Economy / Marketplace / Re: New products: fruit, more fruit, organic options and indian food! on: May 24, 2011, 07:05:23 PM
Please consider the proposal I sent via pm. "oatmeal", "organic food" and "indian food" are examples of searches we will be able to fulfill with a link to your site. Free listing, free results, free ad banner. Please.  Smiley
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Domaining - list of unused domains you may want; soliciting help on: May 24, 2011, 09:01:36 AM
I think what happened is you just wasted a ton of money. Good luck with that.

lol. had to edit OP. I think everyone misunderstood me and I just realized it. I only referenced 5 domains I own; the rest were available ones I merely brainstormed.

prefixes
universal - toomanysyllables
decentralized - evenmoresyllables
cyrpto - girls will love it, not
internet - sounds vanilla
global - much better
digital - good. digital cash seconded. digital bucks, digital change, coins, money, dough, moola, bills

new cash? e-cash? world cash? space money, lol.

Solve the puzzle, what fits best in a subway billboard: Bitcoin - The __________ or Bitcoin: It's __________ and you will have your answer.  Ex. 'Bitcoin: It's Global' or 'Bitcoin: It's Space Money' or 'Bitcoin - The New Cash'

Bitcoin ... the most trusted name in digital currencies. Bitcoin - let it win you over slowly. rofl.
234  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Should we buy bitcoin.com ? on: May 23, 2011, 10:09:37 PM
Rofl if it happens will this be the first second-hand buy of a bitcoin domain in its history? Anyone flipped one of their regs yet?

Actually, I bought coinbalance.com for $7 not long ago because it seemed bitcoin-related, but just sold it yesterday for $250 to someone who doesn't seem to be part of bitcoin community at all... he'll be using it for a completely unrelated site.

That's some namepros shite right there man, gg ...

237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Branding on: May 23, 2011, 09:12:50 AM
That is a a great first post. smooth move.

The term 'grassroots' is associated with community-based political or social movements more than hippies. You heard the term all the time during the run up to the last election. Every candidate was running a "grassroots" campaign before the primaries. The health care town hall debates and protests were described as 'grassroots.' The term makes sense.  The Tea Party, is called grassroots, but good luck finding a hippie among them ...
238  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Should we buy bitcoin.com ? on: May 23, 2011, 04:21:52 AM
If this is to happen, it should happen sooner rather than later. (For obvious reasons). Bitcoins dot com is also registered but unrelated to the bitcoin (having been registered longer). However, that one is currently for sale on a site at $5K. Not that it's necessarily worth that.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How about ... a search engine just for inventory at Bitcoin accepting sites on: May 23, 2011, 01:11:11 AM
What about Google Custom Search?

Thanks for the idea but a few things: 1)The cost of service 2)Want to keep this more of a community effort 3)As a utility, it doesn't serve the purpose I want. It would return multiple links per site for every subpage that contained the search result, whether it was in the store's inventory or not (if the website sold power supplies only, I don't want it to be a positive result for term "graphics card" because the store's description was "Power supplies that can power any graphics card there is". Each site with the product should actually get only one link, for now to the home page. However, I want to end up manually tying direct links to popular search terms, so that the results can link to the exact page.

How much of the profits are you realistically looking to share?

Less than your $60,000 project fee + 50% ownership offer.
