221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get fast rich in crypto world? on: October 27, 2017, 03:03:01 PM
Investing in such crypto in the right moment
Participate to bounty companies
Join to promising airdrop.
I think something like that.

Given that this seem to be your first post, you have actually quite accurate to provide us with very practical solution. Even newbies are entitled to some of the alt coin bounty campaign. And if you are getting good alt coin, you can even multiple your networth with the growing value of the tokens.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next ICO To Go 1000x? on: October 27, 2017, 10:37:57 AM
What ICO is the one that you believe has the possibility to go 1000x like Stratis, Neblio, Eth and why?

I just can't seem to believe any of these new ICO's have that capability. Right after Stratis everyone started jumping on the ICO boat.

1000X is really huge

A 2M marketcap coin would result into 2B marketcap

1B marketcap would be from 1M

To be honest with the current ICO trend, where they usually raised min 5M - 10M + and even 100-200M.

Higher marketcap ICO = wouldn't really perform much.

5-10M x1000 = 5B marketcap which would took over Litecoin and be Top5

Lets look at old ico
By looking at 1-2M Marketcap right now, most potential coin i would say

1-2M marketcap
Indorse - Potential Project, good growth, but x1000 might be hard
Opus - 3 Times lower than its ICO price, Decentralized Music sharing platform
Darcrus - Blockchain based startup, 14M supply, Token burn time by time. Yet, very small team

3-4M marketcap
(NON ICO) Hush - Might be the most potential coin to go 1000x, Current price $2, Supply: Only 2.2M, Privacy Based coin

I am so glad that a lot of people are very clear in their calculation. Even at this stage, finding a x100 coin is extremely hard. However, i am very happy in the grow of market. A lot of x100 coins came from last year and this is because ICO used to raise about 100k to 500k. However, with the rise of crypto market cap this year, these low cap coins gain tremendous value.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency to invest in right now? on: October 27, 2017, 10:31:29 AM
Hi everyone, Bitcoin is now around $6k and gather even 1 BTC is very hard today, what do you think about other cryptocurrencies to invest like LiteCoin and ETH? What's your prediction about their position in market next year?

One coin that i love a lot about is neo. It is having better system than eth. It has an ecosystem to itself, and many usage to it instead of just an ICO platform. The beauty is that neo also generate gas for you. So you can constantly get free gases and sold them for free money.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jesus Coin? on: October 27, 2017, 03:30:27 AM
I really hate the people who created this kind of coin and made it a joke. Jesus is not just a word but it has a meaning for Christian like us. I hope this scammer is put in jail or something.

Good point. Can you imagine if someone came out with Muhammad Coin? The whole world, especially Western media and Western politicians will freak out.
Yes ... I do not like the religious symbol it is used as the popularity of the business.
everyone has faith and we must respect anyone.
Very vulnerable to conflict and I really love peace. Wink

I also feel that it is not a nice to use the word 'Jesus' as it can be quite a sensitive topic. The sad thing is that the creator may purposely create it on the knowledge that it would be sensitive and so it could be used as a tool for advertisement.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pre-ICO bonuses on: October 27, 2017, 12:19:38 AM
I definitely in agreement with your position! When any project gives bonus recklessly what they are saying in essence is that they do not value their tokens! It is easy to identify ICO with sole aim of raising cash!  They are usually desperate to sell their token at investor's expense. Such ICO are good for nothing!

It depends. Some ICO gives big bonus like 100% but they are still good company. One of them is like blockmason which gives 100% bonus. This definitely has raised some concern by the community and that is why the token ICO sale is not progressing fast. However, i am actually very surprised that CEO michael took the extra step to reach out to people and gain their trust so that investors are willing to put in money to invest in them and complete the token sale. So far, blockmason has been delivering their promises.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO do you think will make you the most money the fastest? on: October 27, 2017, 12:15:56 AM

How much of a return on investment are you expecting and why?

I am unable to know which investment will give me the fastest return or greatest gain as there is so many potential coins that can grow x10 or so. For example, evx, wtc, etp, lrp, neo, iota, nem and many others can x10 but it is depends on the market and when is the hype.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jesus Coin? on: October 27, 2017, 12:11:12 AM
I ran across this the other day, clearly it is a scam, but they sure spent a lot of time putting together a very nice site and it seems to have raised some money as well. Anyone know anything specific about this or is it entirely a joke?

It is just a coin for purely entertainment. But i do have to agree that they put in a fair amount of work.

There are other coins which similar usage.
1. Dogecoin (I have dogecoin and i am happy with that. The dogecoin community is awesome.)
2. Fuck Token
3. Recently i even heard about the forgiveness ICO token.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sharing My Investment Strategy Plan (Date Start: Next Month) on: October 26, 2017, 03:01:27 AM
Hello guys! Good day! I just want to share my investment plan which I already share in our local section (Philippines). I am seeking for personal opinion or advice regarding my plan as I just recently decided to invest in crypto which suits my time as I have a day job. I'm not a newbie anymore, Its just that I did not take crpytocurrencies seriously before.

Investment #1: $250 (Allocation from salary)

* 50% ($125) --- store in a BTC wallet, planning to hodl it until the price is right to sell them.

*50% ($125) --- deposit onto my bank account to add in my current savings, which will gain interest but not that much (as saving bank accounts in the Philippines has only low interest rates but I'm planning  to transfer all of my funds thru time deposit --- much better interest rate).

Question: I'm using coins.ph as my BTC wallet since I've started into crypto 3 years ago, its convenient for us Filipinos to use it as we can immediately cash-out the BTC stored in it.

1. Will the BTC stored in my wallet will increase its value thru the mentioned wallet?
2. Is there an alternative wallet suitable to my plan?

Investment #2: Earnings from signature campaign

* 50% will go to trading. I did day-trading before (last year) but I don't have enough time to manual monitor the market as I was really busy with work during those times.

Question:

1. Does weekly or monthly trading is advisable to do rather than day-trading?
2. I'm still sticking to my plan on trading known coins or coins that are active in famous trading sites such as poloniex, do known coins is much better to trade or will I go into new ones?

* Remaining 50% will be used in buying ICO's (I'm not just relying on Airdrops or Bounty).

Question:

1. Aside on researching thru project roadmap, whitepapers, dev team, etc. Are there any key points to consider before joining an ICO?

So, what do you guys think? Any opinions or advice will be truly much appreciated! Thank you very much and have a good day guys!

It is great that you are aware of your own situation and is planning on how to use the time effectively.

I will jsut comment on the 2nd investment part. Personally, unless you are skilled in TA and have some basic FA skills, it is usually less profitable to do day-trading. The common advise is always to buy the right coins and hold. You can do weekly or monthly rebalancing of your blockfolio.
For ICO, you can also check other people opinion on the ICO, like ICO spreadsheets, crushcrypto etc. It is also good to know about their ICO structure, like do the pre sale give 100% or more bonus so it wont dilute the price of the later investors. The hype can be a good factor to consider, even a good project may not sell out its ICO, but still can perform well after ICO while a hype ICO is good for flipping but not for long term holding.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MetaMask / MEW Question on: October 26, 2017, 02:39:44 AM
Morning' All - greenhorn here...

I have an issue I cant seem to resolve despite YT videos and guides I have found.

I participated in the BitDice ICO using my MetaMask address. I want to move them to the exchange to invest in something else but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out. I read that I will use MyEtherWallet but now I am second guessing the process. Anyone have experience with this process?

The issue is, I log into MyEtherWallet, which connects to MetaMask but I am unable to see my CSNO tokens in MEW. I was under the impression that I send the CSNO to MEW, then MEW to Exchange. But MEW doesnt see the CSNO tokens in my Meta account...only my ETH balance. If anyone has any knowledge on this process, I would greatly appreciate it and throw you some coin. Thanks!

Hi, I hope my post helps.

The beauty about using metamask is that it can link to several application so you dont have to log in again. MEW and etherdelta are 2 popular applications that you can connect your metamask after you have log in to metamask. So there is no need for you to do any transfer internally as they all will be using the same wallet.

After connected to metamask, MEW is only able to view popular erc tokens. So there are many other alt coins that is unable to be detected by MEW. You have to manually add these token details into MEW so they can be reflected.
You need the follow details to be added,
- the erc contract address,
- the symbol for the token and
- the token decimals
These information should be provided by the token dev team so do ask them if you are unable to retrieve such information. You also can try to do this on your metamask token tab where you have to manually add in for every tokens including popular ones.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment advice please on: October 26, 2017, 02:31:57 AM
Another point i would like to highlight is that, there is no need to have so many coins/tokens. Many popular youtubers already have advised that it is really ok that you were just holding on to about 5-8 different coins. You are still able to follow closely to these coins and is able to make better decision to buy or let go of them when the market or the dev team changes.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment advice please on: October 26, 2017, 01:56:22 AM
I need some investment advice from the veterans here if possible.

Earlier this year I executed my plan and took the plunge by investing in 10 altcoins each with an equal amount of dollars, with some bitcoin left over. As this was my first time I made some mistakes in investing at the wrong time, other coins I did OK. I'm currently a little above what I originally invested in and feel quite comfortable for the time being.

Now that some months have past I feel that I would like to increase my position in all the coins I previously invested in which I believe are for the good long term.

However in the past months I have seen some ICO's with good potential and would of liked to have invested in them but couldn't because I wouldn't be sticking to my original plan with the coins I already invested in, and sure enough recently they had increased a lot in value and I could of made a good return. So my instincts were correct and I should of invested in some additional coins. I know it is said the FOMO is a strong feeling but what happens when it is right??

Are 10 alt coins enough to be investing in?

If I spot a good investment opportunity should I invest in more alts eg. from my original 10 up to 15, my worry is when does it end as the hype never ends.

All the coins I have currently invested in are good solid coins with a good long term future but may have already past their strongest growth phase. If I have a good feeling about an ICO which has good upside potential should I dump one from my current portfolio in favour of a newer coin which could explode?

Hard decisions....

I think the real important issue is not about how to invest, it is about the investment portfolio. Do you have some stable coins like bitcoin? If you do not have it, then it is better to start accumulating more of it. Bitcoin is to make sure your portfolio tanks whenever there is a shift of demand.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me the best ICO to invest. on: October 25, 2017, 11:46:29 PM
Is not a good advise to invest in an ICO in this time. Most ICO Tokens go below ICO Price. You have to choose wisely.

a lot of icos are mentioned here. i would only agree with cindicator. Kyber are already done. RedPulse is also a opportunity
If you are saying about the future of altant and that should go lower the than the ico price, but not for the kyber, your statement was not true, kyber already traded above 5x from the ico price at 0.00166 eth each token.

I think he is saying about the upcoming or ongoing ICO. As recently with the hype of bitcoin gold fever, a lot of the recently completed ICO did not perform well. Even those that seems very promising at the start and expected to perform well did not do so. Some example are airswap and ripio. They were selling cheaper than the ICO price. Even youtuber crushcrypto also highlight this issue during her most recent video.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantstamp ICO meetup in SG. Collecting Question for Q&A. on: October 24, 2017, 09:51:00 AM
I am assuming that it is about the time for the meet up. Hope that you guys have a smooth meetup session and hope to hear the reply to my answer.

You are right. It is going to happen soon and i am glad to check in before the event to get any last minute question.

Update: The meetup session was interesting and informative. I am glad to be there and get to hear some fresh news even though I am been quite active in their telegram both chat group and annoucement group. I too hope that he has a fruitful time. I will be updating more details later on.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself on: October 24, 2017, 09:43:05 AM
I am very interested in this thread. As I am specialize in doing community management, our team do have a checklist to identify if the ICO is worth taking up or not.

One of the most important point is the development team. We will check the individual profile and their related working experience. I remember attending a talk from an ICO cofounder. He was an CEO of a popular company but the product of the ICO that he was working with had no relevant to his previous company. And it seems like he did not have proper knowledge in blockchain and crypto to answer some of the questions.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantstamp ICO meetup in SG. Collecting Question for Q&A. on: October 23, 2017, 04:48:29 PM
Hi Bitcointalk folks,

Quantstamp CEO Richard Ma is coming to Singapore and we are organising an event for a meetup with him.

Tentatively, the meetup will be happening on 24 Oct at GMT+8 7pm.

Basic information on Quantstamp.
Currently, Quantstamp is in the phrase of doing their ICO. They specialise in auditing smart contracts/ICO. Request ICO is one of their client and they have release a report on the smart contracts.
They are currently doing 'Proof-of-care' so you have to share the love of caring for Quantstamp in order to qualify for their pre-ICO sale.
You can find more information on the link given below.
https://medium.com/@blockchaininbrief/7-reasons-why-i-will-hold-quanstamp-and-why-you-should-too-a6ace49fed50

There will be a 10min of Question and Answer (Q&A). So i will be collecting questions from the bitcointalk community and selecting some questions to be asked on the day itself.

Sorry that the timeline is quite tight but I am sure doing this will help the community as a whole.

Top 3 proof of care submissions? I'm sure there'll be some very interesting ones.

Hi purenarcotic,

The tier 1 whitelist should be out today/soon. So even if I have submitted the proof of care with this Q&A session, it will be used for tier 2 or 3. However, the real objective of this thread is reached out and benefit the community. BlockfolksHQ does not aim to limited itself to a one off meetup and disappear after that.

BlockfolksHQ will continue to reach out to the crypto community, delivery news and especially provide updates on events happening within Singapore. So do keep a look out for us.

I think I wasn't very clear. I meant - ask him what the top 3 proof of care submissions have been out of the ones they've got.

Sure, i have seen this questions been asked in the telegram group in the past and there is always no proper answer for that. I would definitely try again tomorrow and see if he is willing to share more details since he has closed the tier 1 whitelist.

237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantstamp ICO meetup in SG. Collecting Question for Q&A. on: October 23, 2017, 03:03:03 PM
It seems like this is a very quiet topic. It is kind of sad to see such enthu people but the community is not coming in. So why not kick off with the first question that i have. Given that Quantstamp is famous of their ability to quality check on the smart contracts, do they foresee other similar uprising team to join the same crypto bandwidth and challenge quantstamp in the same field?

Thanks for showing concern. I have received several pm on telegram and i have already been gathering quite a handful amount of questions.

I am also very grateful that you have shared a good question and I will rise up your question during the Quantstamp Q&A.

On an interesting information, currently Richard Ma had reached Singapore and he was attending Charlie Lee, ltc Cofounder, talk in Singapore. It is quite easy to spot him out as Richard Ma has a height of >1.9m
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: October 22, 2017, 04:52:32 PM
Now biggest profit will be with Bitcloud (BTDX). It's traded at Cryptopia and have about 400% ROI.

Another one to consider is goku, it is used to be buzzcoin but now goku is leaving with even greater ROI.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Going to buy 6 coins, want advice on: October 22, 2017, 04:15:49 PM
Hey, I want to buy six coins. GNT, BAT, CVC, SYS, STORJ and WINGS. I have few questions. Im going to buy them all through coinbase/bittrex but my question is where should I store them? Also would anyone advice me to NOT buy any of the coins? Thanks

I may not be knowledgeable in everything but Sys is good as right now it is at supporting price. It can go much lower. The team is quite active and there is a lot of projects coming up. It is quite sad that during the fud, the sys team actually come out with the wallet but the price drop instead.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: October 22, 2017, 03:46:35 PM
Given the rapid rise in btc the past few days, a lot of the funds in alt coins have been shifted over to btc. And this has also caused ICO to suffer, like the popular request to lose its ico price within 1hour in etherdelta.
