I have been in the market for awhile, and always hear the same mantra about trading to hold more Bitcoin and not Fiat. I bought into the same mentality for a long time, but I'm changing my tune. In almost every industry, first generation leaders are replaced by competition. From Sears, Kmart, Nokia, Motorola, Yahoo, MySpace, etc. Although Bitcoin is the current crypto reserve currency, I think that its dominance is threatened by ALT coins with faster, cheaper transactions and greater scalability. What do you think? Is it smart to hold Bitcoin as a long-term investment, or are there better choices among the ALT coins like Ethereum or Litecoin?
I think keeping bitcoin at this point is extremely dangerous. You can see that the market in recent days is fluctuating continuously and extremely difficult to predict, bitcoin prices also fluctuate very much, so when the market is not stable you participate in investment will be extremely risk is extremely high because the $ 12000 mark is a very difficult level to overcome. Definitely all users knows that bitcoin is the best coin to hold for long term, but for me even what coin or crypto currency you hold it was a good to hold for long period of time. I believe that all crypto currencies have a capacity to increase their value on their own time, maybe their fluctuation is not regularly but on the time we modernized and all money evolves to digital currency I'm sure even the lowest value of coin were gooing to increase their value. |

Actually newbies, jr. members, members, full members and senior members are the bracket who needs to earned high numbers of merits to ranked up. After that hero members was not needed it too much merit to rank up, because they are at the point that they need only to wait to complete their merit to reach out the legendary position. In real it's hard for them to gain merit but we have no choice, we need to follow the new rules system, for now I believe that merit system should given to lower rank only.

I strongly think that government should legalise bitcoin, because it may become a great revenue source for the goverment by imposing taxes of more than 30% and it can develop our country in so many ways.
Bitcoin is a good source of income but I was not sure if all countries in the whole world legalized this coin, first of all until now crypto currencies are not centralize so who will be the person's came to the arrangement for the legalization of this coin? second what country leads us to legalize the bitcoin and other crypto currencies? and lastly we need first the legal documents for application of legalization of this coin in the (WO) World Organization as supports. There would be advantage and disadvantage when a government legalized bitcoin. Of course the biggest advantage would be, government will not ban btc and people will be free to use it. But the disadvantage would be, the anonymity of transactions would never happen again. That everyone should declare their btc transactions and earnings and should pay tax for it.
Advantage and disadvantage of bitcoin is not an issue since this coin are largely help to the economics of each country, however I've just thinking if this is right to implied taxes to the income of small people who join in crypto currencies? How they can equally rate the taxes of each people? Aside from that not all people in crypto currency community was earned income regularly. For example: those participants of signature campaign, because signature campaigns are not run for a couple of years. Sometimes it was run only for 1 month or 2 months, so it gives large impact to all users if their income will be lessen of taxes. |

Just go and buy bitcoin now, it was the right time to buy this coin because it seems price of bitcoin will become stable increasing value. I think if they buy now they were earned high amount of profit on the following period. But no one can says when bitcoin price stopped to increase, however I believe that this increasing of price was the start of recovering of bitcoin value in the market. |

Not all drugs should be legalization. Some of drugs can't sell commercial, because hard drugs very dangerous to exposed. So must filter some drugs where drugs need legalization or not.
I voted the same not at all, because if you legalized the drugs in any countries more families will suffered. Addiction of young children will be spread together with the criminality in the whole world. I was not agree because life of some innocent people will be affected. Commercial selling of drugs for now are prohibited if in case that it will be legalize in different part of the world there's a possibility that even in the TV adds and other advertising center it will show up. |

The world will be more better if we have varieties to choice from, I know bitcoin have all the capacity that is needed in the digital currency world but that not withstanding there is still need for other coins in other to give investors the choice to chose from.
Its not about the matter of choices, but instead we need to supports altcoins for the beauty of digital world. No freaking kidding. HDDs are obsolete relics from the 20th century second millennium. It's time to move on from moving-parts contraptions. glass-bulb technologies and other fragile inefficient garbage. I've been using SSDs since the days of IDE (PATA) and have never had an SSD fail. I originally got into SSDs for performance (used HDDs in RAID-0 and RAID-5 before that), backing up to HDDs. It was the HDDs that actually failed. I was mainly seeking fast writes and reads. The extremely lower failure rate of SSDs was just a bonus. What's the longest time you have used an SSD for? I thought they were supposed to wear out faster than HDDs. I'm pushing 5 years on my oldest one, and it has been flawless. Pretty sure I've never had a HDD last that long, or even close. My newest NVMe Pro is ridiculously fast. Friends don't let friends HDD  Was your oldest one a cheap brand, an expensive brand, or a mid range brand? All Samsung. The old one I'm assuming, as it is in a sealed Samsung laptop... I think lately Samsung came out a latest model of laptop, that's I'll wait it before I buy. |

Earning merits are quite difficult but its for the forums sake to avoid low quality post. Spamming is the number 1 problem in this forum but now, the merit system is implemented the shit posters are lessen. So lets just report them so that they will be elimanated or get banned.
Also, from this thread, we can say that farmed account users are now having a hard time ranking up all their accounts at once. Also we can see their connections to each other since they are giving merits to each other. Merit is doing pretty well not only on shitposters or spams but also in these matter, not only doing well, it is doing great. That's why they try to make cheat, because they want to ranked up so fast. Merit system is a good challenged to all users but due high numbers of cheaters reputation a this system was starting to fall down. People will find their ways to overcome something but they are doing it in the wrong way. Still, if they figure something out to abuse the system; there will be always someone that will find them doing it wrong and the mods giving the right punishment for their wrongdoings. Let's not focus on these people that want to earn their merit and climb to the top abusing the system, it is not our job though we can help, let's focus more on making and creating good posts that will earn our well-deserved merits. "theymos" create this merit system because they just want to grow up all users, they just want to avoid ranking up of shitposters. However, even you are a good poster if you have no friends or no one knows you in this sites its hard for them to get merit. Try to review some merits and tell to anyone if they deserve to get merit? even their post is not constructive and low quality? |

Binance is the most convenient user experience I saw to date. Only annoying thing with them was withdrawal fees, but they at least reduced them a bit.
I heard good things about KuCoin as well, but I didn't use extensively.
Yes, I agree binance is one of the most convenient exchange site in digital currency community, but why would you try poloniex and bittrex because some coins in was not found in binance exchange. Try to used multiple exchange sites, because if you only focusued in one exchange you can't know the other coins in crypto currency world. Poloniex and Bittrex are also exchanged sites with excellence lists of coins. Aside on that the value of their coins was not also different from the other sites, so I recommend this exchange sites to many users. However lately it was experience of some problems due to high amount of fees, hopefully it will become fair with the other exchange sites. |

Today is my lucky day I win into 6 parlay game in NBA basketball, I think hunch + lucky is the best way to predict the teams or player who will win. No and it's gonna happen fundamentally speaking ETH is far more than WAVES whY? because I know you know that there a lot of amazing ICOs already partnered with ETH because they really believe the ETH network was really good and if those ICOs was successful then expect ETH will be huge more and more.
I think they are kidding because waves coin value are not in the half of ethereum so impossible that waves kill that altcoin this time. However there's a possibility to happen it if the waves coin continues increasing for the period of 5 years or more. You've got your answers on how to police them from the links you provided. People will keep reporting them once discovered and if it's found out that they're farming or trading merit between themselves then their accounts will be ruined with negative feedback. Most people will figure it's not worth the risk but for those who do try it and get caught all the accounts that are involved will likely be ruined from ever joining a campaign so hopefully most will just accept that and learn to earn merit the natural way rather than take the gamble. It was a lecture to them, I'm sure some of them (not sure) will scared to do the same because of this sanction many users not trying to cheat anymore. Thank you for the good message us, like you I was hoping that it gives lessons to many users and to those people who's trying or attempting to cheat. I think it is best to delete "merit system". Who likes Merit?  I hate it so much. Less evolved primates do tend to resent the system, as they keep randomly hitting those keys with letters on them that they don't understand, and then they all sit around the dinner table as a family of 28, wondering why they're not ranking up. Bitcointalk is supposed to be the path out of poverty, isn't it? Didn't their friend tell them they could make bank on bitcointalk just by answering simple questions with some pre-written answers? Fuck me, I'm tired of this foolishness. Until now there's a lot of users trying to make a strategies on how to cheat, I don't know what they are thinking why they continue do this matter. But still they can't win because they were always caught in the act. As advise to many users stop making fooled all people inside this sites because even how secretly they do cheating their smell are always spreading. They can't hide it for long period of time, because people in this site are not stupid like what they are thinking. |
