How can one pool get 7 out of 9 blocks in 37 minutes wow
I saw that too... If we could only get 7 blocks a day! I would .... retire... Edit: Did some math 115.8414 BTC awarded 12.5x7 = 87.5 115.8414-87.5 = 28.3414 28.3414 X 14500 US = 410950.30 THEY STOLE FROM THIER MINERS! In 37 minutes! Pricks!

Thanks Kano, I was reading up on his pool, and It was so confusing, I gave up. I always thought there was something that didn't sit right, and there is that element of unknown that will drive people away.
At least when I came looking at your pool, the explanations made sense, I just had a hard time comprehending it, but I might be slow too. I guess it came down to the words that were used. I just started picturing it as a moving window in time ( 5nd being the bitcoin network difficulty x5 is the width of the 'time window' ) and what ever percentage of shares I contributed in there is what i get rewarded.
On that note, I like the line that shows the average hash rate for the entire graph of the Workers Shifts graph, is there a way you can add and option to show the average has rate for just the 5nd segment with a blue line, and a check box to show or hide it? This will probably help people understand what is going on in the ramp up and down time frame of that 5nd. Not so much if their hash rate is constant and is always in the same spot. It will also help if the user ads or removes has power to see the average in the 5nd to better see how it will affect their reward. Just an idea.

I guess it depends where you live, but my 3 S7s and even my S7-LN are turning a nice profit. My electricity costs are .08/kw and then it goes down to .03/kw after the first 1000 kw are consumed. Looking forward to the next block to see what my total of 15 TH is going to bring. I know that's small time compared to some people, but we have to start somewhere!
Your electricity actually goes DOWN the more you use? WOW, My S9's want to move there. Mine is the same regardless of use, but its not 3 cents! FYI, I was at 3.99 cents, plus then there is a transmission and some other fees that added about 2 cents per Kwh... so you should pay attention to that. Depending on how they bill it. Ironically here commercial power is the same on the Regulated rate option and the transmission fee and distribution fees are just ever so slightly less than the residential ones. The only higher fee is a Daily ?Access? fee that is about 50 cents a day more, so 15 dollars. But you can recover that if you use a whole bunch of power. I have a location I can use, and even can get Fiber internet, and will cost about 5000 Cnd to install new service and plugs to host about 40 antminers.... now that being said... how do i get my hands on 40 antminers? :-)

Does it still hit enough blocks to stay here? I know the pay is higher per block but if we dont hit but 10 a month is that better?
Yes the pay still better than most, definitely better than the large pools. Have you worked out what you are making per day for an S9 when it is fully ramped up and over several time periods? I cannot do this because I am still in the ramp up process. I have worked out the payment and divided it by my N Average and figured out that number, but its not entirely accurate because there is a ramp down period that cant be equated.

Hey fellow KanoMiners -
Question about my S7 not running like it used to. One of the boards keeps dying. When it does, and the hashrate drops by 1/3, I usually take it apart and give it a good blow and clean it. I restart it and the third board comes back. It usually isn't actually very dirty at all (this is running in a pretty clean, dry space.)
Any thoughts about what I can do here so the board doesn't continually die? I believe it is board number 2?
Thanks!
I had a funny issue with this on a brand new S9. I upgraded the firmware and that fixed the problem. Mine however was when the S9 started up, only 2 of the three red led's were on, on the hash boards. Maybe just try re-write the firmware even if its the same version.

I fear in the future bitcoin will become less and less. As pools that keep transaction fees for themselves will keep getting more and more each time bitcoin is moved. Eventually only a few will have any bitcoin. IS it worth as much if only a few have it? I know this is FAR FAR away, but something to think about.
Wait until the next halving in 2020...you'll see a big difference. Increase the block size and keep the fees low...everyone wins (especially if BTC price is 1.5-2X current value). It is all going to be relative. There will be many more miners and the computational power of the miners will increase tremendously as well. Actually, if you think about it, the rewards are halved so the rewards will decrease and not be worth the mining. I saw a documentary on this. I cant recall all the details, and my head hurts from my cold.. but basically the amount of power required now to do this is worth mining it, eventually the rewards get halved and then the cost put into mining outweighs the gain. This isn't any time soon. It was very far away. If I can find the video on you tube, i'll post it.

I am going to try it again... it worked last night.. I am going to leave for a bit, and not click refresh on the page to see if there was a new block. I am going to go get a pizza, and 48 more cans of coke. Then I will sit in a hot bath and hope that I can kill the virus that is making me sick ( Cold) I will get into water hotter than I can stand and raise my body temp so much that the virus dies! Well, its a theory anyways.
While this is goin on, we might get another block because i am not clicking refresh all the time..
I wish you luck grasshoppers!

I guess that matters when you are using bitcoin as income, ie, need to withdraw all the time, but if you are hanging onto it, which is probably the better idea, then it doesn't matter.
I have to admit, when I first started into bitcoin, I was always looking at it as what it was worth that day, and the rise or fall is more or less later. Once you get your head wrapped around the idea that its bitcoin and not Dollars, its easier to get past the changes that happen in short periods of time.
That being said, that guy is probably a impulse stock buyer/seller.
When it was worth 1700 bux and then climbed to 17000 did anyone complain? But they did when it went from 17000 to 14000

NICE - That last payout paid for ----- get this --- 88% of one of my S9's! Looking back, I should of started this a while ago... or ordered more S9's- Skeptic that I was. SHeesh!
Wow well done So what did that equate to per S9 then? .88/5 = .176 ? :-) I am still on the ramp up anyways, so that value is not relevant yet. When I am up the ramp I can give you a better idea. I started the other 4 on Dec 27, so I think 1 more week or so I will be at the top of the hill

confirmed by us on our next block, then payment goes in your wallet, UNLESS some other pool is nice to confirm it, but probably not since the Little bit of satoshi sent with that payment isn't enough for them to do it.

I'm gonna take a break. I have sat at this desk for nearly 200 hours, watching the counter since the last block. I need to go get some sleep, take a shower, throw out the pizza boxes, recycle the 57 coke cans, and change my socks. Not necessarily in that order..... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Thanks for taking a break. It got us a block. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) As the old saying goes, "A watched pot never boils." No problem. I actually just woke up, I only looked at the forum, haven't even looked at the payout or anything yet.... Maybe it was my fault.. I'll stay away from the computer. If memory serves me, this happened to me before... like two or 3 blocks ago... I WILL REFRAIN FROM CLICKING REFRESH... ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Well I just want one, trying since november to get one, then I had no bitcoins/bitcoins cash only visa, now I have bitcoins but their batch is announce when I sleep 03:00 my time, 09:00 china time and it is sold out in minutes, so ZERO chances for me. I will probably never have one.
The batch that was available at the beginning of December was available for like 3 weeks, 24/7 Why didn't you order then? I actually got that order Dec 27th for 4 S9's So.. If I can make orders at any time of the day, and yes the hard part was getting cash into an exchange to buy bitcoin cash, but once that was there, it was easy to pay bitmain. LITERALLY 3 weeks they were available for sale. I wish I ordered more. I was wondering why they were still for sale for so long.. normally it was minutes, but... not that time.

Does anyone have a broken S7 they want to sell me so i can attempt to fix one i have with 2x burnt hash boards?
The (off brand) power supply wires burned up and melted the connection to the hash boards.
I would like to attempt to fix it...
are the hash boards working? you can replace the power pins and plastic connector. Takes a bit of work, but can be done. There was a video on youtube that showed how to do it for an S9. I found it, its in russian though... Pictures are worth more than words anyways https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13F54VA3WdM

Does anyone know why it takes some S9's, 2 of my 5 take longer to reboot. Not sure what is going on. All I did was update the miner config for 2 pools to be kano servers, and the third elsewhere for failover purposes.
3 of them booted up quick within 1 minute, while the two took like 4 or 5 minutes.

I was searching for " Email notifications" and came across this link on the forum... https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com/ I am a bit confused, what is this, and why are the rewards on the same days, but not for the same amount? Anyone seen it before? * Note, the rewards are listed the same days as KanoPool.. Thats why I am confused.
