221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / XRB and XSPEC investment on: December 29, 2017, 06:42:11 PM
Hi. These days I've been researching like crazy to make profits with some money I have. I've been between ETH, XRP, DENT, Oyster Pearl, Deep Onion, NXT (which made me lose a lot of money unfortunately), but now I'm leaning towards XRB and XSPEC. Both have good tech, nice dev teams, could have practical use in the future, and have had nice and steady growth, specially these last days.

I have two questions:

- XSPEC has lower market cap, but seems to be more stable than XRB, which today had some peaks and dips that scared me a little bit. But looking both as long term investments, they look solid. Why do you think XRB has been more unstable?

- Which one do you think has a better future, but just thinking about investing on them as a trader for the long term? I don't want to suffer another huge loss like I did with NXT. I believe if XRB has more exposure and gets listed on more exchange sites, it'll sky rocket, but I don't quite understand why that hasn't happened yet, taking into account that it's already a mature project. XSPEC, on the other hand, seems to have a bright future because of its anonymity, but if they stay true to that, it won't get listed on many exchange sites as the majority of them require ID verification (which defeats the purpose). What do you think about this?

I'd like to know your opinions on these two coins. And if you believe that there are better options out there to make some profit, I'll be happy to hear about them  Smiley

Thank you for reading.

PS: I still have some money invested on XRP, and it's growing like crazy. When do you think it'll get listed on Coinbase? I don't want to miss that day, and I'm sure that it will make it worth the wait.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Questions about NXT, VeChain and Dent on: December 29, 2017, 03:33:57 PM
DENT, why did it get pumped quite a lot? I have participated in the ICO and forgot about the coin. So it seems interesting that it got some tension now.

Not sure, but I read on their Twitter that on 12/28/2017 they would be releasing their first mobile app (iOS), and they did. It might something to do with that.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Questions about NXT, VeChain and Dent on: December 29, 2017, 03:05:44 PM
Next pump because people want ignis for free and hours ago its being dump because snap shoot already done, in my opinion next has no futures because will be replaced with ardor which will be launch in january 2018 and ignis is its first child chain.
Dent is good token with very good roadmap and project plan. So far it is did good and the apps work well for selling internet quota from people to people through its apps and payment using dent token.
Vechain i dont know about vechain.

Thanks. I agree with your opinion about NXT, it was my mistake to get confused with all that fork thing. I sold all of it mainly because I think I can make better profit with that money with other coins. If I leave the money there, I can get it back I guess, but it will take a while.
I believe Dent is a good proyect, but for the long term. I guess it will rise when they release and polish their apps, and I see this as a useful token. I'll see how it goes, but I'm not going to invest on it yet.

- I read on some posts that VeChain is a very promising project, with recent interesting news, but do you think I missed the opportunity, or should I buy some now?

Read up on VeChain here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Vechain/comments/78p34q/vechain_allinone_thread/?st=jbrwgv8x&sh=bcd69a02

Do your own research. Don't let the shillers make the decisions for you. There will be another announcement by VeChain in about 24 hours (presumably big judging from the past), so it will probably reach a higher support level afterwards. All I can is I'm glad I got in at 0.24$, 0.54$ and 1.30$.

Thanks for your reply. I've been doing all the research I can. In fact, I'm on vacation, and I'm almost all day on my pc reading about cryptos. The thing is that I know I'm still a noob, but I'll learn.
I think you were right about VeChain, it spiked on the last 24 hours, but unfortunately I read your comment a couple of minutes ago, and I missed it. Still a good coin to invest, I think. Glad to hear about your investment, you sure will make a lot of profit  Smiley.

Yeah the NXT dips are really bad. I don't want to even take a look at it. So I will leave it as it is and hold for the best. It will come back up eventually.

I'm sorry to hear about your investment on NXT. As you can read on my op, the same happened to me, and I had like $1.000 invested on it  Sad. Fortunately, there are coins out there that are performing great, so I'll try to recover from that loss without overtrading. But I think it's a smart thing what you're doing too, in the long term (or maybe sooner), I think NXT will recover. Time will tell.

PS: Take a look at XRP, XSPEC and XRB. Those three are rocketting, and more important, I think the three proyects have a great future (at least on 2018) because of their tech, dev teams and practical uses. Don't take my word for it, though, I'm really a noob and I'm just pointing this out, do your own research and invest as safely as you can  Grin

Iota is better but underrated.
In this new autonomous Machine Economy IOTA will be the backbone. The Tangle ledger is able to settle transactions with zero fees so devices can trade exact amounts of resources on-demand, as well as store data from sensors and dataloggers securely and verified on the ledger.
THe tangle is great. The main innovation behind IOTA is the Tangle, a revolutionary new blockless distributed ledger which is scalable, lightweight and for the first time ever makes it possible to transfer value without any fees. Contrary to today’s Blockchains, consensus is no-longer decoupled but instead an intrinsic part of the system, leading to decentralized and self-regulating peer-to-peer network.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQaOR_QLI2tGceGAp3ZWfQw best IOTA explication

In that regard, is IOTA a better investment now than Oyster Pearl, considering both use Tangle? I mean for a long term investment.
And I still think that investing on XRB could be very profitable right now. Maybe having both in a portfolio is a wise choice. That's just my opinion though  Smiley
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RaiBlocks (XRB) is going to be a top 10 coin on: December 29, 2017, 12:27:35 AM
This sounds like there's no use on investing on any other coin. I have XRP, Deep Onion, ETH, and was thinking on buying some XSPEC, PRL and VeChain, but after seeing XRB charts and reading about its tech, it sounds like I should put all my money on this. I won't, I don't want to put all my investment on one coin, but this is tempting  Grin

Hi. I'm new here, so hello to everybody. I've read a lot, but I still have a couple of questions, please help me  Smiley:

- NXT took a huge dip some hours ago, and all were talking about this fork thing (which I still don't quite understand). I have some NXT, what do you think I should do? Sell it and assume the loss? Do you think it will rise again anytime soon?
- I read on some posts that VeChain is a very promising project, with recent interesting news, but do you think I missed the opportunity, or should I buy some now?
- I've read that Dent is a very good project, and it's still trading with low values. I read on their twitter that today they'll be launching their mobile app. I own some. Do you think it will rocket some day soon?

- And well, I know this question is made a lot, but I'll ask anyway  Grin. I have some money I want to invest in a coin that may sky rocket soon, but I seemed to have lost the opportunity with all of the good ones. Any suggestions? Oyster Pearl? Still XSPEC? Another? Basically, I'm looking for the next x100, like many of us  Grin

Thanks for your help

PS: Currently, I own XRP, NXT, Dent, and a little of XSPEC and Oyster Pearl (not much of these last two).

Quiet man, I buy equitrader and let myself be carried away by emotions. Buy equitrader at $ 1 and suddenly under $ 0.5, now at $ 0.42. in this you have to have nerves of steel.
In case, if you want fast money, you have to work selling products, nobody knows about the behavior of the market for sure.
Then I bought ADA at 0.0001BTC (27 days ago) later under 20% ... at 3 days I got it into my head that the investment should be medium or long term. So I decided to buy ADA at 0.00012BTC and let it mature, today it costs 0.00002850BTC, something spectacular.
As in Verge, I was studying it since July, when it was at $ 0.0025, I was encouraged to buy it in December when it cost $ 0.008 (later on, but here I held on and did not sell) ... now Verge is at approximately $ 0.2.
There is something I learned, cryptocurrencies with a road map that is directed by decentralization and innovation, sooner or later it shoots up.
I just found out about "VeChain" I will study it and if it looks good, he launched me with a little money.
XSPEC (Spectrecoin) is a very good project, it has a lot more things than monero, imagine when monero was in 8 $ I did not invest (almost a year ago), for fear, for not studying your project, etc. now, monero is worth $ 389 Smiley gain of x45 approx. XSPEC if it has more commercialization (bittrex, poloniex, binance, etc)
let me tell you that this will be a great devil's party. everyone will want to enter, even if it's not too late, but the profits will be very low.
I did not buy XSPEC when it was at 0.4 $, but I did not want to regret it anymore and I bought it at 1.4 $.
"With patience everything can be done, the best decisions are made calmly"

NXT has been going down so fast, i would never suggest to anyone to put money in there.. -60% in just a day, do you think that this one is stable?
VeChain is the best of your list, of course.

I left NXT at 0.06 $, now I see that it has come too high, maybe I will not buy it from scratch, but now I will buy some NXT coins. no matter how low it is, only strength will be regained for a strong rise.
"Be afraid when all your friends are happy with the market, and take advantage of their fear when the market is adverse"

Thanks for your reply. I think the same way as you do, the fact that I sold my NXT and assume the loss was not because of fear (I already lost half of what I had invested, so I believe in fact that this may be a good time to buy NXT), but because I think it will recover very slowly and I can make more profit with that money with better coins.

I also believe in coins that have innovation and could be useful in the future, so that's why I'm thinking about the ones I mentioned. I believe that XRP will have an excellent 2018, and about Oyster Pearl, everyone is talking good things about it and that this is a good time to invest on it for the long run. VeChain seems to be a solid proyect too, so I'll buy some too. So XRP + PRL + VeChain seems like a good portfolio to you? I'm really interested in your opinion. I don't want to overtrade, so once I make a choice, I'll let them rest and will only sell if I see something catastrophic.

The ones I'm not so sure about are Deep Onion and XSPEC, I don't know if I should invest on both of them, one of them, or none. Honestly, I'm concerned that maybe they won't last, but it's just a feeling. What do you think?

And ETH is already in my portfolio, I think it's one of the safests bets. Dent, I don't know yet.

I invested $ 650 in XSPEC, it's a good project ... VeChain I'm not very aware, I hope to read more about this.

ripple may be a good year, because since it appeared in news portfolios it has risen. It does not have much roadmap, now it just runs everything. Maybe it will fire very soon.
Verge is still very good.

dent is something to very laaargooo term.

I think VeChain will be good, at least as far as I read. I do not see topics where they talk about this currency.

I didn't mention Verge, but I was considering it also. I just thought that maybe it was too late to get on that train. I think I'll throw some bucks on it too. So ETH + XRP + VeChain + PRL + Verge sounds good? And maybe add some XSPEC.
BTW, do you have an opinion on Deep Onion? Sounds like a great proyect, but the fact that the dev team is anonymous makes me wonder.

VEN for me is a long term hodl. Getting now is better than trying to find a dip to buy in later.

Yeah, I think I'm buying some VEN for the long run. Currently I have XRP, sold the NXT, and bought some Deep Onion. What do you guys think about that last one? I've read some threads where all seem to trust it (even being an anonymous team behind it), and has had a steady growth, specially a spike today. I just don't want to lose a lot of money like I did with NXT, so I'm reading all I can.

I'm also buying some ETH, so my long term invest will be with ETH + VEN, and short/medium term would be XRP and Deep Onion, but I'm not so sure about the Onion, so I would like to know your opinions  Smiley. Oh, and I'm thinking on buying some Oyster Pearl for the long run too.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Pearl: Why I think It's a Long Term Hold on: December 28, 2017, 06:13:09 PM
Been looking at oyster and waiting for a dip, gonna invest my BCC into this. I agree with you, it has plenty of room to grow, and grow it shall. Love the fact it works on a DAG-tangle blockchain too. Awesome coin!

The problem with this altcoin is that it has already increased by more than five times during the last month.
That is why for me, it is very risky to join.

Maybe other people will disagree with me.. but i would join to the party when it is almost going to end (as an example)

But of course that the project is good, but x5 in a month, maybe more, it has been a few days since i dont see the chart of this altcoin.

There are better options right now, it is just matter of investigating a little bit deeper.

Which coins do you think are better for short and long term investment right now? For the reasons posted on this thread, I was planning to have ETH and PRL as long term investments, and because of its price it seems to me like a good time to invest in PRL. For short term I'm investing on XRP (could be long term, I want to see how things go with this one) and maybe VET or XSPEC. Clearly you have more experience in this than I have, so I would like to know your opinion on this matter  Smiley

PS: What do you think about SHIFT? I read on recent posts that now it's the time to invest on it.

Sorry about the nxt. Unfortunately no one wants nxt now that the ignis snapshot is over. Lesson for the future: read public sentiment before investing. There have been a lot of threads on here about the ignis snapshot. Salvage what you can and move on. Nxt won’t move up in the short term in my opinion.

Ven is a great buy still. Lots of room to move up.

Thanks. I've read a lot, but I'm still a noob at this and got confused with all that fork stuff. Got carried away by comments that now I obviously think were spam. Hope it won't happen again.
Do you think VEN is a best bet than XSPEC then? Any other suggestion to diversify my portfolio?
Thanks again.

Do you think VeChain is a best bet than XSPEC and Dent? Dent has a lot of potential, but I agree that, for now, is more like a gamble. XSPEC on the other hand has been growing with a nice pace and it seems to have good tech behind it. I'm between VeChain and XSPEC right now, and the one that I'm not selling for now is XRP, it's growing like crazy.

It's very frustrating about NXT. I'm figuring out what to do with my NXT. just hold and wait or sell them right now until it's too late

Tell me about it, I had like USD $1.000 invested on NXT. It was like a kick in the ... when I woke up today and saw that I lost half of it. I just sold it a couple of minutes ago, It's too unstable and there are better options, I think.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Questions about NXT, VeChain and Dent on: December 28, 2017, 02:52:45 PM
about NXT,, maybe the snapshot of NXT to get $IGnis already done,,
then, NXT holders just dumping their NXT after the snapshot

Thanks for your reply. But in this case, do you think NXT will bump soon and recover the price it had yesterday? Because if not, maybe it's a better idea to sell it, invest it on another coin, and reinvest in NXT when it starts its recovery. I just don't know how long it usually takes after a snapshot for a coin to recover.

probably we gonna make some consolidation to 0,75 in short term. then back again to the new ath, ath, ath, ath.
price doesn't want to go too high; right now, it's observed.

That's because RIPPLE is a silent scam...
I don't believe RIPPLE will get x5 or x10... they will rise, but everyone will dump and make its price as usual... someone had been playing with RIPPLE, I left already~

Hi. I obviously respect your opinion, but do a lot of people think this way? Of all the cryptos I've seen, XRP seems to be one that has a lot of potential, backed up by banks and its technology. I'm also a little scared because of its fast growth (could be a bubble, I agree), but we've seen the same with Btc and it's still there. If you ask me (and I agree, I'm nobody  Tongue), XRP is one of the safests bets on crypto world (knowing that "safe" isn't a word that should be mentioned here). What do you think?
