Again Afghanistan won the toss and elect to bowl first and allow Pakistan to build target for them. I think Afghanistan love to chase target rather than defending target and due to that reason they select bowl first in entire t20 series matches. Now it's a tough exam for Pakistani young talent because they already lose his previous two matches and losing this match will cut Thier position from nation squad for upcoming series with newZealand. Currently Pakistan has lose Thier top order batters by just scoring 76 in 9th over which is not a bad runs, but now the main necessary thing for Pakistan is to keep wicket in hand which will give them extra confident to hit power shit in last overs. Finally Pakistan performed good and gave a target of 182 runs on loss of 7 wickets, young boy saim ayub played a good innings of 49 runs and Iftikhar Ahmed contributed his part . Now Afghanistan has to bat good to win this one and to whitewash Pakistan in this innings. 11 billion dollars  That's a lot of money, this makes me wanna ask how fifa actually makes their money,? Is it just by selling tickets to those who would want to attend the stadium and view the match live, or are there other ways through which the make their money aside advertisement? Cus I am of the opinion that if it's just by selling tickets and from advertisers, making 11 billions dollars would be pretty impossible in my point of view, except the tickets are sold at an exorbitant high price which only rich men and women can afford. I have wondered how they will spend this money since this time, in comparison to another world cup, they will certainly earn much more money because there are more teams participating and more matches in the world cup. I believe FIFA should raise the price for teams, spend some money on food for those countries who need it, as well as build stadiums and schools for those countries. Zimbabwe performed well at their venue. Zimbabwe was the favorite to me throughout the tournament. But after losing their first match, I was a bit hesitant. But they performed well in the next two matches. Especially the last match of the series was really appreciable for them. Every player had a good partnership Wessly Madhevere collected 49, Craig Ervine 44, Gary Ballance 64 and Sean Williams 43 all are relatively big scores and they got an easy win.
The first two matches were really competitive and Netherlands was chasing those matches where they won the first match and they came close to victory in the second match and Zimbabwe somehow managed to win that match and the third match was one sided as Netherlands were not able to put a competitive score on board and Zimbabwe chased them without much struggle. Zimbabwe proved themselves in last two ODIs they played really good and specially in last one their batsman performed exceptionally good. Adding six or seven countries are not going to happen realistically because we will have many problems foremost this will be needed very long period and right now we have not been spacing for the event which is having more than 45 days even IPL is now having too many teams and longest event which bringing problems for the players here just having few countries like Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be also good because Bangladesh most chances will be not joined this event as they are already doing good for their BPL even this is not bringing enough revenue but still they will not join anything which involved Pakistan like India. Having teams from Oman, UAE and Saudi Arab is also not ideal situation for them because most these countries not have native players so in case of they will have few matches in these countries will be also good but having more teams will never been ideal. PCB cannot afford to increase the duration of the tournament as players have also domestic and international commitments and they cannot spend all the time in these tournaments. Also if there is a conflict in date in the PSL and IPL, many international players will prefer to play in IPL as compared to PSL and for sure PCB won't want this to happen. One suggestion is to increase the number of teams in PSL but schedule more than one match in a day at different venues. This may achieve the purpose of increasing the teams in PSL yet the duration of the tournament will remain the same. As the players are contracted in different leagues, the organizing committee will have to keep in mind and have to make the match schedule. If the number of matches is increased then have to conduct multiple matches on the same day. But fixing the extra days of the contract will be a big inconvenience for them. If the matches can be extended by a few days according to the schedule of IPL, that may not be big problem. If the tournament can be completed a few days before the start of IPL, it can definitely be considered as a reliable decision. Psl 8 have been s hige success interms of revenue and viewership and Pakistan cricket board can add new teams in upcoming league to grow . Pakistan is a cricket loving country and people are diehard fans of cricket they would love to watch more games and as far as financial basis is concerned Pakistan can settle that as people of Pakistan are pretty good in terms of finances. Not only Pakistanis but all over the world love and prioritize cricket now, I think not only the audience in PSL but every team that participated in this league has gained some new experience. In all these matches one can uncover the variation in one's skills. And it is very easy to mark experienced players from these matches. What a game we had between Zimbabwe and the Netherlands. In the end, Zimbabwe won by 1 run. Netherlands needed 4 runs off the last ball that was bowled by Tendai Chatara, but Fred Klaassen could only get 2 runs. Ryan Klein desperately tried for the third run and got out. Now the series is tied 1-1 and the final match will be played on Saturday at Harare. So far the Dutch performed better than expected. They won the first match by 3 wickets and went down in the second match by a whisker. Encouraging signs for them.
A dramatic win by Zimbabwe. This ODI reminds me of PSL final played few days back and in both matches 4 runs were required on very last ball and in both games only 2 runs were scored. Netherlands needed 19 runs in the last over and last batting pair was on the crease. Fred Klaassen was only able to score 2 runs on last ball. Good fielding in deep extra cover as ball was racing for 4 runs. Series is now level and the third ODI will decide who will be the winner. Zimbabwe need to perform well, there performance is very disappointing. Zimbabwe, despite getting funding of $12 million per year from the ICC has shown no improvement in the performance. On the other hand, the Dutch are performing exceptionally despite the fact that they receive only $300,000 per year from the ICC. With a little more funding for their development program, the Netherlands would be able to get competitive against the top sides. Two days later, there is an ICC meeting to decide on the fund allocation for the next cycle. It needs to be seen whether the allocation for teams like Netherlands get increased or not. Netherlands is showing great improvement in last matches they have given a tough time to Zimbabwe in recent series. India has performed quite well in the Test series. But in the ODI series, I had more expectations from the Indian players. They can't live up to expectations. Every Indian player's performance is erratic now. Indian players were in great form against New Zealand in the last ODI series. But their performance against Australia was completely erratic.
India's aim in the upcoming ODI World Cup is to win the title. Because India's performance in the last T20 World Cup was very poor. But with such erratic performance in ODI matches, nothing better can be expected from them in the World Cup. Very soon the Indian management needs to find its best XI. Otherwise, India will perform badly in ODI World Cup like T20 World Cup.
Only Virat Kohli performed good and Hardik Pandya tried to score good runs rest of the team literally wasted balls . LOL.. Is this true? Very difficult to believe that BCCI has become so generous towards the other boards. In case of Afghanistan, despite becoming a full member in 2017, they always received lower amount of funding compared to the other full members (during Asia Cups of 2018 and 2022). BTW, after Australia pulled out of the series against Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) organized a bilateral tour with Pakistan (to start by last week of March). It is still tricky how to deal with the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, w.r.t sports. Yup, it's true. heard this in a couple of podcasts from one reputed sports journalist, he happens to be very resourceful when following BCCI's money trail on everything like IPL, media rights deals etc. Also, a few officials and Cricketers also said this on record a couple of times. IMO it's not generosity but they just don't care as it's not a big money and in return they earn some brownie points. @JSRAW yet I find it hard to believe that BCCI actually gives up this money, because from what I studied about them is that they actually try to earn as much money as possible. @Sithara007 while Pakistan would be the obvious favourites in these series, yet I feel that Afghanistan can stun them and defeat them as they have improved a lot hence wagering small bets on Afghanistan victory does makes sense to me what do you think? There is going to be tough matches in upcoming series between Pakistan and Afghanistan as both of them are good teams . Specially Afghanistan they play so fearlessly and aggressively and make their game so interesting for their fans . Pakistan on other hand is experimenting a totally new team under captaincy of shadab Khan , young boys of psl have been given a chance to prove themselves and make their way in Pakistani team in Asia Cup and world cup. |

India need 27 runs from just 13 balls to win. India is under a lot of pressure right now. They have already lost 9 wickets. But it looks like India will not be able to win today's match. I bet for India in today's match but I never imagined that India would do so badly. It is very sad that they could not win today in India's own ground. However, don't give up hope yet, let's see what India can do. However, the target of 270 runs given by Australia was not much. But India themselves made the match very difficult.
Australia won the match by 21 runs. After giving Australia a target of 270 I expected India to win. But they failed. Not to say that the team's top-order players performed poorly.
