221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Alt Coins are a scam. on: March 15, 2018, 12:50:57 AM
Well this is what the insightful Tone Vays claims...

He claims that ETH, DASH, shit 99.5% of all the ALTS are scams and the only coin that will survive is Bitcoin.

So l guess we should all sell our Alts now!
If that's what he thinks then good for him, he can just stay with bitcoin.  All alts are not scams, there are some good ones out there with a real future, litecoin is an alt and that isn't doing too badly as an example.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the market recover? on: March 15, 2018, 12:47:57 AM
Up to now, this year is very bad for crypto investors. Everybody hopes a uptrend soon. But no one can say when it happen exactly. Some people say in april, it will start and go to peak in june and decline in august again. Some says gradual increase will happen from april to year end. Some people already converted all coins to usdt and hope further decline may be to 5k -6k. Very difficult to guess. But bitcoin will not dead. We can say it without any doubt.

What do you think about this? Will we see the downtrend continuously?
Bitcoin is definitely not dead, it will recover but when is anybody's guess.  it must be a scary time for people new just buying in when bitcoin was at it's peak to see it now if they didn't already sell on the way down.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rival to IOTA on: March 14, 2018, 10:26:33 PM
IoT chain announced that they recently launched their yellowpaper on Github. They are known as the IOTA of china. What do you guys think of their tech??

yellowpaper - https://github.com/IoTChainCode/Documents/blob/master/ITC_YELLOW_PAPER_DRAFT.pdf

cmc - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iot-chain/
I prefer Nano to IOTA, it is a rival but seems to have a lot more going on right now, IOTA seem to be extremely quiet I haven't heard much happening recently.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google to BAN crypto advertising-includes Youtube on: March 14, 2018, 10:01:31 PM
I'm not sure if this is the best idea really, where will they stop then if they get away with banning crypto ads.
What will happen when "real world" companies start accepting certain cryptos and want to advertise the fact, will they be banned also?

As much as they are doing it for our benefit so we don't get ripped off, everyone has a mind and if they blindly invest in these things then that is their choice, you can ban everything, you get those phone scams where people try to trick people into giving over their details or sending money, we can't go ahead and ban phones.

People have to take responsibility for their mistakes.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ETC will BOOM again on: March 14, 2018, 09:54:23 PM
The market tends to go down, so I have invested 100% of the funds into ETC, do you ETC will comeback strongly? Please give me your opinion, thanks
Not sure if it will rise substantially this year unless for some reason something happens to ETH and ETC becomes the place to go to for anything ICO related, other than that I don't think there are many other reasons for it to climb to any extreme level.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VOTE! Do you participate in ICO that requires KYC (your personal data)? on: March 14, 2018, 09:52:30 PM
Providing your personal data to someone online who hasn't even launched yet is not only risky but foolish. With the amount of hacks happening I don't think people realize what happens if their personal data gets hacked and sold on dark net markets.
Completely agree with this, anyone can create a token and setup a quick half decent looking site and claim to be launching the next best thing, so handing over your details is very risky, even with an ICO that you think looks legit.

I think for large investors there will be some need for information but for the smaller guys there really shouldn't be a need to go through this process.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Exchange? on: March 14, 2018, 09:48:34 PM
I have accounts on about 6 or 7 exchanges, and mostly use either Binance and Bittrex (more recently I've started using Kucoin too). From searching around, I like the look of Huobi, seems to get quite a lot of the new coins and has decent volume, plus seems reasonably trustworthy. Are there any other exchanges worth looking at for trading lower marketcap coins that have decent liquidity? Went off Bittrex a bit, they seem to have a hard on for de-listing coins. Not looking to day-trade, but maybe swing trade. Bought into the ICO of Cobinhood and have done a few trades on there, but still not great volume.
Sometimes especially with some of the new coins / tokens you simply have to go to where they are listed as they may not be listed on all of the main exchanges.

My favorite exchange always has been Bittrex but I am leaning more towards Binance recently as they have many of the coins I am interested in and also IDEX for your tokens.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants on: March 14, 2018, 09:46:29 PM
Bounty campaigns really have taken off since the explosion of the ICOs, I think they are a good thing as it gives exposure to the project and also good for the people.

It is true that some campaigns can have hundreds of participants which will dilute the bounty distribution but if that's what the campaign manager wants to do there isn't much that can be done, give it time, when it becomes too much then things will change.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS GOING ON? Come back form holidays and everything red????it is over? on: March 14, 2018, 04:04:17 PM
All my coins are badly red! I know...Hold and blabla...but jeez...i was away just few days ;/
I know, it can happen in the blink of an eye, you turn around and then Blockfolio shows a huge negative, sooner or later it will go back up Smiley
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcointalk release its own currency ? on: March 14, 2018, 03:04:35 PM
There have been a couple of coins using the bitcointalk name, and as you can guess they have not taken off, perhaps an official one could actually do really well, could tie the coin in with the Merit system as an example, i doubt it will happen though.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me where to sell coins on: March 13, 2018, 05:53:55 PM
Hello everybody. Tell me please where can I find and sell the tokens that came to me from bounty, these coins do not exist on coinmarketcap, and therefore I do not know on which stock exchange they are trading, an example of such tokens is AMLT, DEB. I want to sell them but I do not know where, tell me something, I will be very grateful..
It might be better to go back to the bounty thread and from there you should find a link to the announcement thread, all the updates are usually within that thread in terms of listings etc, also as was pointed out you can find more information via their social media channels.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 46% of last year's ICOs have failed already on: March 13, 2018, 03:32:17 PM
https://news.bitcoin.com/46-last-years-icos-failed-already/

  • 46% of them are effectively dead already – despite raising over $104 million.
  • 902 crowdsales... 142 failed at the funding stage and a further 276 have since failed
There were so many ICOs last year and some from last year still to be launched, it quickly became a trend to start an ICO and there were many scam ICOs about as it looks to be easy money for some.

I have invested in a few and 2 of those turned out to be useless and never took off, there are a couple that are still to launch this year which seem quite decent.

I am not surprised by the 46%.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: March 13, 2018, 03:29:07 PM
I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out  that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters  immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.

#Datarius

This would depend on the project and how solid it is, many times when an ICO hits an exchange it will fall below the ICO price as there will be people that invested just for a quick profit and they will sell off their tokens along with the bonus they might have got.

If you find a decent ICO that has a great development team behind it along with great community feedback then you might not get the ICO price again.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: March 13, 2018, 12:59:27 PM
I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

NOT FAIR
I would be very careful handing your information over to any ICO unless you are a huge investor otherwise there is no real need for them to carry out KYC for smaller investors.

I would advise against using fake documentation as it might come back to bite you.

235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why KYC is important? on: March 13, 2018, 10:14:16 AM
Know Your Customer is important as it helps to eliminate possible money laundering attempts and fraud.  Many ICOs are looking to get this information from the off no matter how much you are investing which to me I think is quite dangerous as there will be many fake ICO attempts to take people's money and also their identity via the KYC process so people need to be extremely vigilant and protect your ID in the same way you would you private keys.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me where to sell coins on: March 13, 2018, 09:49:14 AM

If these are via a bounty then chances are it wont yet be on Coinmarketcap, you will be best to look at the announcement thread for the token and ask in there as they will know where it is listed, if it is a token via ETH then it will more then likely available on Etherdelta or IDEX.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ETH changed crypto world? on: March 12, 2018, 08:20:35 AM
ETH has built something that is quite different from bitcoin and the blockchain, it is the first but there are many other projects offering a similar structure for example there is NEM, WAVES, NEO.

Pretty much all the ICOs are now optng for tokens via ETH as long as this is the case ETH will dominate, obviously there are other uses but for now I think ICOs are responsible for the majority of the ETH traffic.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: March 09, 2018, 10:28:07 AM
Hi,

I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit..
After 14 days the price is dropping..

They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  Grin)
My answer.. Just wait!

- Developers can't work 24 hours a day
- don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  Wink
- a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient..
If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.
Agreed, you really do have to play the long game with many projects, the only coins that you can make profit in no time at all will be just pump and dump coins unless you get into a coin as it is releasing something and starting to take off, otherwise if you are invested in a coin and believe in what they can do then holding on is the wisest choice.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: encourage others to crypto on: March 09, 2018, 10:26:16 AM
Will you encourage others to invest in crypto and explain to them that this is not a scam or a pyramiding activity?
i have introduced a good few people to crypto, initially bitcoin as that is the entry into the wider crypto world and so far they seem happy and are learning more and investing in other coins, once people take that initial step and see how it works they have no choice but to take part.
240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe that trading is just a waste of time and money? on: March 08, 2018, 11:19:05 PM
Based on present market trading business is too weak.So I feel that this is only waste of time, energy and money. Angry

Please feel free to describe your opinion.Thank you.
It depends on how you are trading and what you are trading, if you are trading just bitcoin I think yes it could possibly take a lot of time and energy for small rewards, if you are trading altcoins I think this is where you can really make some good gains but again it does take time but can be worth it if you are in the right coin at the right time.
