Who knew that Come-From-Beyond had a twin brother called Come-from-Beyiond Cheesy

you forget his other brother code-from-behind, and half sister, codeine-from-beyond

don't forget Come-from-Beyonce

And, of course, Cum-from-Beyond!

Cum-on-Beyonce is better!
Indeed. Wink

230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interview with Graviton, Nextcoin.org Community Founder on: January 05, 2014, 02:40:50 PM
Recently, I had the distinct pleasure to interview Graviton, Nextcoin.org Community Founder.  As many of you are familiar, I first learned about NXT after my father-in-law stumbled on the coin skyrocketing a month ago.  On January 3rd, NXT released their source code to the public.

"NXTCoin source code revealed today in a release on their website. The DGEX.com website received an overhaul as well.  DGEX is presently the only exchange offering trading in NXT.  The major addition to the crypto market is NXT's Alias System which was not a part of the open source unveiling."

Read the interview: http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/01/05/graviton-interview-nxt/
Other exchanges do exist.

This is to be considered stable release. Change log:

Fixed more concurrency issues, performance optimizations and code cleanup.
I have fixed all the visible code issues that I consider to be bugs, the
remaining TODO's on my list are a matter of code cleanup and refactoring.

Added a checkpoint at block 30000 (the start of transparent forging block).

Added wesleyh's update checker:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4294180#msg4294180
Use https://localhost:7875/update.html to check for updates - this feature
may still have bugs, but including it in the package is a good way to get
people to test it on multiple browsers.

I have not been able to find any possible cause yet for the most critical
in my opinion bug reported so far, transactions being sent to a recipient
different than the one selected. I have read through the relevant code
again, but don't see any obvious way how this could happen. I am not
ignoring those reports and believe it may be a real bug and not a user
error, but without a way to reproduce the problem, it is very hard to
track it down.

When I start the client I get a java.lang.NullPointerException right away in the pop-up. Tried to delete and re-copy the whole nxt folder, restarted my laptop, still the same.

Use transactions.nxt and blocks.nxt files from your last version.

DGEX sent my first exchange withdrawal to an incorrect NXT address.  They were supposed to send to 12510982507347853737 (where they did send one withdrawal) but instead sent to 125109250734753737.  The second address is empty in blockchain explorer except for my transaction so I'm guessing it is unused.  Is there any way to get my NXT out of that account?
There is no way to get your nxt out of that account unless you know the pass-phrase of that account to access it.
You best bet is to contact DGEX and ask if they can compensate you as it's their mistake.

Sweet, looking forward to it.

If NXT is going to succeed, it needs mass adoption.
I've got some IT background, but I've had a steep learning curve to climb over the last 10 days just to get the client up and running.

There is no way that the average Facebook/email/Candycrush user is going to get into NXT if they have to write their own .bat files.
And without a mass adoption, NXT is never going to be any more than a really amazing ALT-currency, not the only currency.

In summary:
one-click client = NXT success.

We already have 1 click installers for Windows and MAC OS X.
