Do we have a chinese website? We need someone to post to chinese crypto forums. We also need a chinese version of the coin logo. Then we can look to do a targeted ad campaign -- submit to chinese search engines, post to chinese crypto forums, advertise on chinese twitter (noticed someone on fiverr.com offered that one).
We also need to stop fretting so much about market this and market that, and focus on what we can do to improve adoption and use of the coin. Value follows adoption and use.
The BENEFIT of low price: Easy for people to get into it! People aren't buying bitcoin in droves because it's still crazy expensive compared to a few months ago.. Meow is still easy to pick up.. We need to broaden the user base, and this is an IDEAL OPPORTUNITY!!!
I think we definitely need a dedicated china based marketing team, maybe even a bounty to get one formed (paid in 2 or 3 parts once the dev team has seen the posts/articles etc). The main idea behind the logo was to break into this market, but I am sure most of us here have no indepth idea of sources used in this country, once we have lots action in relevant forums and blogs/news sites then we have a realistic chance of getting on some exchanges based in china. this would be an excellent thing for the coin, sadly all cryptsy has done is devalue the coin so far. Any other eur or us exchanges probably won't help the situation. Although I don't really like the idea of a giveaway for posts on twitter or reddit, as some other alts have done, its another idea to get our name back out there. |

This is the risk I was talking about 1 or 2 weeks ago already, when MEOW wasn't on cryptsy or coinwarz. That wasn't really hard to guess, every single coin on cryptsy/coinwarz has this problem right now, even those with a much shorter diff retarget, or even a retarget at each block (but not with KGW).
Too bad the next fork does not have the KGW, because it will really need it. Currently diff is jumping between 10.26 and 41.041 because of the 4x max factor.
These past few days, we're only getting 700 blocks per day instead of 2880. So the fork will not happen before 11 or 12 days. Because of this situation, I'm pretty sure the dev will change their plan, as leaf's dev's did, and other coin dev's also did.
According to latest update from dev's, KGW will be in next fork, atleast the extra time can mean extra features ; )
Implement KGW diff. algo in KittehCoin - completed, in final testing, waiting for hardfork

hmm yer, especially not when you look at 60-70 sells thats for sure (who knows whats real on there at the moment). if you believe in the coin then you will have faith of nice steady growth
hashcows has also been mining meow for like 9 out of last 11hrs, other multi's too probably. whale seems to start fake dump when he knows influx of sells from multi pools is coming aswell

yer, just trying to shake the last of the weak hands before relaunch i guess, who knows where price will settle, then time for more manipulation after that. lol. sadly once we get on cryptsy it's probably when the real pump and dumpers start attacking.

the relaunch benefits the coin, getting things right that should have all been done before the original release, meow was originally released just before christmas or something, been mining since 0 hr here, bought some more at 41 just then, gg meow

it's bouncing around! just the multipools fault, if diff rises and price stays between 50 - 100 they might actually leave us alone soon! we're still on hashcows i know that.
key is if you plan to be a long term holder or even get a decent profit from a week or 2, don't panic sell when multis dump and price bottoms.
oh and suchnoob, so jealous, i had a 129 sell order in for a 1/4 of my meow for a few weeks. then when it was rising that quick i thought nah better cancel while i can actually see coined up, probably would have been perfect pricepoint to sell then buy back twice as much now ; /
