i read now the last replies regarding the fees and how long you wait etc etc...
i maybe live in another world because the maximum i wait when deposit to exchange or send back etc is never more than 1 hour about....
and i never have problem to pay some small amount...
the question is .. where do we go from now regarding the price??

With the current fee fiasco I suspect we are going down.

Which fiasco? I am trading all day long and have several feeds open... Haven't read anything about a "fiasco". Source?

No particular source... I am just an average user that is having huge problems getting the BTC transferred from a wallet to an exchange.  That is a fiasco, and from what I have read many other people have the same problem.

Ok, I thought you were refering to something new.

Also I wouldn't consider it a "fiasco". I mean, are you sure the problem isn't in the exchange end?

Have you checked the transaction in blockchain explorer to see if it is already confirmed but the exchange is not acknowledging it?

Did the transaction include a proper fee? Unless you set it up manually, it should be ok though.

Anyways, yes, Bitcoin needs to solve the scaling problem asap. But that is already "discounted" in current price. Once that get solved expect the price to skyrocket.

All the transactions show in bitcoin.info as Unconfirmed.  I have been raising the fees manually because my wallet was sending 0.0001 for all transactions.
In my latest transaction I sent 0.25 with 0.0005 (240 satoshi/byte) but when this gets processed it gets added to another 0.5 BTC and then the fee per byte drops to 96??

see the tx: https://blockchain.info/tx-index/44af690b488daae59c2ca4bd055a6dc29378e11e51853de4e0763e72f8dd3e3e

Ya. This one has a low (96 sat/B) fee, and 3 inputs so it might be unexpectedly delayed. The following one with the right fee (~220 Sat/B) will not confirm because it tries to spend the unconfirmed output from the delayed one.

edit: just saw that the one you posted has 3 unconfirmed inputs too! You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of how this all works. Smiley

edit2: Ahh. Do you have 'spend unconfirmed change' set in your wallet? That, and a bit of impatience, might have caused this chain of unconfirmed transactions (plus the low fees paid earlier).

a different kind of fiasco it seems.

Another ATH - what a "fiasco"! lol

USDT is making a recovery and Coinbase and Bitfinex are at roughly equal prices since Bitfinex agreed to have Friedman LLP do a balance sheet audit.

A lot of the uncertainty is fading away.  This is looking good.  Very good.

indeed

I'm also on the verge of financial independence. Not even a whole year, unless something goes badly wrong. It's pretty amazing.

That is why I will give it a year.

Though if it climbs over and stays above $2k...it would take a very small straw at work to make me stand up and walk. Though I tend to be given a lot of leeway at work. Perhaps because they know I don't give a f.

ditto

Pretty hard to BTFD when there's no dip.

I can't even remember the last time there was a fucking dip.

I have a feeling that bitcoin will go up to 1400... what do you guys think ?

I have a feeling you need to be mentally insane to buy bitcoin with a $300 spread with China and $100 spread between ScamFinex and everywhere else.  You see Adam pop in and out of here cheerleading the carnage but you know damn well he's not buying right now lol.  This market is a trainwreck.  What the hell am I even looking at?  A $20-$25 spread used to mean "welp, that's it for this pump, time for the crash".  Now it's just Bernie Madoff/Gox style scam spreads everywhere and people don't even seem to care.

Can't wait to see what excuse the exchanges come up with when this thing blows up:

You are perfectly right.

Similar situation full of disbalances however did not prevent bubble back in 2013  Wink and majority of investors here have gambling streak. So the rise will only run its course until it exhausts itself on major resistance or Finex goes bankrupt. Whatever comes first. 1500 is reasonable price to close our position and wait for the reckoning.

you guys' FUD pretty funny and outlandish.

Not gonna work though, sorry.

Try again, lol.

Just sent $25k to an exchange and had it confirmed in 1 minute for $0.40

Niiiiice. backlog was annoying a week or so ago

you sent BTC but you cannot call them that way. You still need to call them dollars   Grin

thats funny

Usually, when everyone is sure the price will rise, it inevitably plummets.

Conversely, when everyone is convinced the price will tank, it shoots up even further.

Careful

Silly, futile dump is over.

Back to the moon.

It would cost them if some bigger whale came and ate their order whole, before taking the price considerably higher. But I suspect a lot of times these market makers have some sort of inside information from the exchanges wrt potential heavy buyers.

very interesting about the walls. i am no expert but i usually see these types of walls be placed deep (under other orders). so if this is true that these walls are placed as "a mental barrier" then that explains it, you can easily use a bot to watch the market and cancel the order and place it deeper if you see some movement.(?)

Of course, that's what they do. It's obvious especially if you observe altcoin markets, where price moves faster. My guess is that the entity holding the wall is quite confident that there is nobody able to swallow him in one bite so he keeps the wall close to the spot price.

The "wall" when placed, is meant to be eaten by design, eventually. At a certain point it just evaporates.

I think its usually the exchanges themselves, knowing some big money just came in. Seen it happen way too much.

Does the "mental barrier" actually affect anyone? lol

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a false flag.

Wouldn't be surprised?  This has been going on for how many eons now?

Poor Lindbergh.

And look what they did to him.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 07, 2017, 02:53:26 AM

There is no Assad launched "chemical attack".  He's not a fucking idiot.  He knows the (((deep state))) and the UN are itching to invade him and would give no excuse for them to do so.  Who were the first people to report it?  The Jews in Israel of course.  The same pepole whose intelligence unit, the mossad, has the official slogan of "BY WAY OF DECEPTION".  It's another gulf war con job by the Jews claiming "look, weapons of mass destruction!".

There was a fraudulent false flag attack in Russia days before trying to soften up Russian public opinion to go fight some Arabs.  Israel's make believe cult mythology also tells them that they own 2/3rds of Syria:

All "news" is generally fake.

Always has been.
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 07, 2017, 02:41:03 AM

Yup . something like that.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 07, 2017, 02:35:26 AM

Could be fake fake news.
237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 05:41:35 AM
FINALLY segwit will burn and we will have BIGGER BLOCKS

Are you referring to any recent news in particular, or just communicating a pure wish?  hahahahaha
Haha.
'Past Performance Is No Guarantee of Future Results' and 'high volatility' is very applicable to adam's posts. IOW, a real bitcoiner.
 Roll Eyes

I'm not sure if I understand your post or your position about this whole question regarding the short to medium prognosis for bitcoin?

I personally believe that in the end, some variation of the core's vision is going to prevail, and surely I hope that it includes some kind of incorporation of segwit - but even if seg wit does not get incorporated in the coming years, bitcoin still is in a decent place in terms of storage of value and security and various kinds of ways to control your own wealth from capital controls and even some kinds of abilities to do quasi-anonymous transactions in a pretty secure way.

The BU people are just sad to see the writing on the wall and to understand that they were just useful idiots after all.

Jihan was basically their knight in shining armor and now he is the fallen one.
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 12:24:18 AM
BU real cheap now on Bitfinex. Anyone wanna buy? lol
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 12:22:11 AM
I do believe this to be bullish, however.

if they can be gotten rid of or brought to heel somehow.

other than that it confirms they have a very strong reason to maintain the status quo. they already set their credibility on fire before but the hashing power remains.

Things are looking up.

When people discover another's ulterior motive it is quite liberating.
240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 12:13:35 AM
guys i am sorry for this but i cannot hold this in:

HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF GOD I AM DONE WITH THESE PIECES OF SHIT

months i tell you

MONTHS

of arguing bashing my head against the wall with these useful idiots at /btc and getting nowhere, listening to ENDLESS fucking "blockstream" this and "theymos" that to find out that GUESS WHAT? segwit levels the playing field and Wu obviously can't want that.

it just boggles the mind.

i am actually losing my shit right now.

I do believe this to be bullish, however.
